2023.05.28 09:11 NextContribution8788 I think my boyfriend is immature and I don’t know what to do about it

Me (F32) single mom of two adopted kids , has been in a relationship with (M27) for almost two years. We have good time but we are in a LDR. The other day he said he wants to move in with me to my country. He comes from a rich family very comfortable and blessed in that area, I’m on the other hand not. I self-made myself from scratch after my divorce 6 years ago. We started discussing the rules of living together. He was saying that I have lots of financial burdens that he’s ready to help with and I heard this many times never accepted but when this is becoming a way to live I asked what does he mean practically. He said that he will: 1. Not pay part of mortgage cause house is in my name not even mentioned paying a part as “rent”. 2. Pay “apart” of electricity bill (he works from home 3. Pay quarter or third of food shop (this man can eat) 4. Follow me around when I clean so he entertains me I was baffled ! How is he considering this helping ? He is literally paying for his living and getting services as he doesn’t lift a finger when we are together (laundry, home cooked meals and so on). I genuinely don’t know how he considers this “helping” I didn’t want to sound like I’m asking him to pay my bills so I let this idea go and said we will in the future think about it. I love having him around but this was a big turn off. Taken into consideration how financially comfortable he is as he never in his life paid rent and has a good amount of investments and savings plus supportive rich parents. I have none of those and managed to secure a good home for these kids and got them as my own. I don’t know if I’m in a stage to have an extra mouth to feed/take care of.

2023.05.28 09:10 adhddiag09 Can Vyvanse cause Serotonin Syndrome?

Could I have had Serotonin syndrome.
I started taking Vyvanse a few weeks ago. Relatively low dose— only at 20mg. I take 4-5 days a week(Mon-fri).
I’m 30 yr old healthy female. Last weekend after taking for 5 days, I started getting sick. Progression of symptoms (and probably unnecessary additional details. Sorry)
I didn’t take the Vyvanse after getting sick and ended up not taking for four days. The body aches were still there but a lot of the other symptoms were gone.
Now I’ve been back on Vyvanse the last two days catching up on work from being out and the body aches are back… and I had a terrible headache yesterday.
tldr: can Vyvanse cause serotonin syndrome? Unexplained muscle aches

2023.05.28 09:10 Mattrapbeats Making first 10 sales with $0 marketing budget

Last week I made a post about generating 2.5 million in sales for a client without spending a dime on ads. The thing is, I did this on a brand that already did over a million in sales the year before. I got a bunch of messages from people that don't already have established brands but thought they could benefit from organic traffic. So I made this post, I'll explain exactly how you can generate sales with literally nothing other than time and a website.

Quick disclaimer, it's 10x harder to make your first 10 sales if you don't have a marketing budget or an existing audience to market to. You're going to have to consistently spend multiple hours a day working to accomplish anything. Not just mindless work either, you're going to have to be a critical thinker and have a basic understanding of human psychology to see any type of success using these methods. If you don't have time to do that, you won't see any results from these methods and you might as well stop reading now.

Now that we've cleared that up let's get to the good stuff. Here's how you make your first 10 sales without spending any money on marketing.

In order to get sales you need traffic. You can't test anything or sell anything if no one visits your site.
So here are 3 ways to generate traffic for free:

1. Become a member of the community that your customers interact in
In my last post, I explained how I built a community from scratch, but at this point, I'm assuming you don't have time to spend 3 months building a community if you haven't even proven that anyone wants to buy your products. So I'm going to teach you how to piggyback off existing communities.
It is easier said than done, but 1 good post can get easily get you your first 5 sales. You can do this on Reddit, in Facebook groups, or any other type of niche relevant group/forum. If the people in these communities think you're trying to sell something you'll probably just get banned and people will actually get mad at you for trying to sell your products. The trick is being a casual, you want to put yourself in the shoes of your ideal customer. Don't even mention your products in your first 2-3 posts. Maybe ask niche relevant questions, or provide value in comments under other people's posts and show people that you have a genuine interest in the topic. Think of this like warming up your account.
Now when it's time to sell, you do it in the most discreet way possible. The better your product is, the easier it is to do this. This is the fastest way to find out if your product is actually useful and if there's actually demand for your product. The best way to promote your product and create brand recognition is with lifestyle content. Never post a product photo with a white background in a community group. NEVER!

I'll give you a few examples of how to post product pics correctly:
Example 1
niche: dog niche
product: dog collar
You take a dog to a beautiful place. Maybe a beach by the water and you get a whole photoshoot with the dog. Bring lots of treats and showcase a happy dog wearing the collar you sell. Now you don't post the entire photoshoot in the group. You post 1 picture, not necessarily the best picture or the most professional looking one. You want to post the picture that evokes the most emotion. It's the picture with the dog making a funny face, or another dog sniffing your dog's butt, or the pic with your dog in bliss chewing his favorite treat that goes viral. Pick a picture that'll start a discussion and reply to every single comment. Then, once the post does well, without a doubt someone will ask about your product. That's when you come in and give a shoutout to the site that you got it from. If no one does this, you can literally create a fake account and ask/answer the question on your own. You're basically creating the perception of product demand.

Example 2
niche: food and beverage/electronics
Product: digital thermometer
Imagine... It's steak night, you fire up the BBQ and you want the perfect steaks! We're selling the dream of a perfectly cooked steak, not a digital thermometer. You post 2 pictures. Picture 1 is the steak on the grill with the thermometer showing the perfect temperature. Picture 2 shows the perfectly sliced steak being served. Try to capture someone that stirs emotions in the picture, whether it's a happy grandma, a kid with the steak on his fork, or a hungry pet drooling and looking at your plate. Emotion is what sells the product. Make sure you have a caption that conveys the message that you're trying to send. Use something short and simple but also try your best to convey a story. Further, convey the imagery in the comments ex. "Inlaws are over, got this thermometer to make sure everything was cooked perfectly, Now everyone thinks I actually know how to cook."

Example 3
Niche: candles
Product: candle
"Midterms are around the corner, sparked my favorite scent to set the mood tonight" (caption for the post in studying group or collage group) + a picture of an opened textbook and candle in the background, but you can clearly still see the candle label. This example is for the people who have general products. It may actually be harder for you to sell a candle in a candle subreddit because there are just too many options. So you get into the mind of your customers, you imagine the scenario your customer is in when they use your product, and you sell the feeling of enjoying the product in a situation that they've experienced before.
In the comments, you describe the scent in detail and you talk about how you prefer this candle over the one you got at Bath and Body Works because it's made from natural materials.
If you do this right, consistently. Eventually one of your posts will go viral and without a doubt that will convert into a sale.

2. Grow social media organically
This is a lot easier if you can afford to order the product that you sell. But it's still possible to make this work if you can't get the product in your hands.
With this method, you're essentially picking up a new part-time job. You are now a social media manager, you work 20 hours a week and create and post new content on multiple platforms every single day. You want to take advantage of platforms that favor new accounts. A great place to start is Tiktok but Instagram reels is pretty good too. Tiktok boosts the reach of new accounts, you can see a lot of success blitzing a new Tiktok account (2-5 posts a day). The Instagram algorithm boosts accounts that post a lot of reels because for a good while Tiktok was destroying them with short-term content. (Fun fact this feud between platforms is so deep that if you make a video on Tiktok and you cross-post it on Instagram without removing the Tiktok watermark, the Instagram algorithm will suppress the reach of the video)

You want to focus on making short videos with a focus on real-life use cases of your product. I'd break this down into 3 steps.

A. Research
B. Content Testing
C. Doubling down on what gets traction

It can take weeks or even months to get a good feel for how to create engaging content. The true key is consistency. At the end of the day, it's gonna come down to volume. Not just any volume, but a high volume of quality content. Whatever platform that you decide to use, I suggest watching at least 4 hours of content on youtube from experts on the platform. You'll pick up a bunch of tricks and tips. It's important that you understand how the algorithm works on different platforms to see any type of success doing this. I wouldn't suggest attempting to scale on more than 3 platforms at once. In fact, it's actually better to focus on 1 platform and do it well over splitting your time into other platforms trying to scale 3 pages at the same time. Don't spread yourself too thin.

3. Elite cart protection
If you do under 10k a month most email marketing is irrelevant. People with startup brands book calls with me all the time and I tell them the same thing. You need traffic before there's anything I can do to help you other than give some basic advice. However, there are 3 automated email flows that actually can make an impact at this point. These flows are the welcome series, the abandoned cart, and the browse abandonment. Most email platforms are free and they charge based on volume. So in most cases, this won't cost you anything. Sites like Klaviyo make it very easy to set up the basics. Don't overthink this at all, at this point you don't need beautiful designs or stand-out copywriting. You simply need to just follow up with the interested potential customers that visit your site. A healthy store converts 3% of its traffic, 7/10 people who add things to their cart don't complete a purchase. You have a second chance at converting 97% of the people that visit your site if you actually follow up with them.

I've made entire posts about how to set flows up correctly so I won't be expanding on this much more.

I know this post was a bit long-winded but if you've made it this far you must be serious. There's going to be a bunch of people that read this thread and take no action that'll stay at 0 sales. The beauty of life is that you get to choose what happens next.

With that being said, thanks so taking the time out of your day to read my post. I hope even some of the bigger brand owners were able to get something out of this post. I look forward to seeing some of you guys make your first few sales in the coming weeks. As always feel free to add onto things that I missed, or maybe share what worked for you. I'll reply to everything that I see.

Is it important to make sure the lamp can't catch on fire in anyway? Seems a little dangerous to have a hot light bulb surrounded by a natural fibre shade. Or is this more like a paper shade lamp where the felt is not likely to ever be a hazard?
Thanks

2023.05.28 09:10 explainedpath420 I made a mistake by trying again with the BD

Hello, I’m new here. In the beginning of January of this year I finally decided to leave my ex and father of my child because I realized he is a compulsive liar and I could never fully trust him. He cheated a few times throughout our 5 year relationship and he also stopped working in October and still isn’t. During the time we were separated, he barely called our daughter, sent no money and did not visit once. I still stupidly decided to take her to him because 1. I do not trust him enough to watch her so far away from me by himself and 2. He has no car. And when I took her I tried to distance myself but I did miss him a lot and I was doubting my decision because I was really sad about leaving the relationship. He convinced me to get back with him and I visited him one more time on his birthday weekend. Since then, he still hasn’t worked, and I have no idea when he will. I had the daunting realization that he’s still not trying to do for his two children (one by me) and he only cares about himself. I feel so stupid for trying again, especially since I know how he is. And I’m very frustrated about the lack of support with my daughter both physically and financially. I finally told him that I’m not into being romantic with him but he needs to support his daughter regardless and of course that turned into a gaslighting and shouting match. He was telling me he didn’t say things that he had just text to me a few minutes prior. He says he’ll run if I put him on child support and there’s nothing I can do to make sure he sees his daughter except FaceTime him and I don’t want to do that anymore. I really wanted my child to have a dad and I don’t want to do this alone but I do feel like having no father is better than what she has now.

2023.05.28 09:10 SnakesRDY HDD not being detected in BIOS after motherboard and PSU upgrade.

Hello there, I recently just upgraded from my evga 600 watt PSU to a 1000 watt corsair psu. I also upgraded my motherboard from a 11th gen to a 13th gen. Before you say anything, my evga psu was not modular and came with ketchup and mustards cables still attached so no, I did not mix any cables at all and I am not using an m.2 slot as I'm only using ssd drives and hard drives in my build. The problem is, it was working completely fine with no issues the day before I took it out. All my other drives are working fine with no issues. I've tried switching cables, trying different ports and nothing at all. I'm hoping and praying this drive isn't dead. Is there anything I can do to fix whatever this issue is if possible?

2023.05.28 09:09 imaginarylocalhost Should I replace all my old circuit breakers?

I posted this thread a couple of days ago, and thinks to all your help, I got a replacement GE breaker which fixed my problem. I've been poking around the old breaker with my multimeter trying to figure out what went wrong, and the only thing I can see is that on one of the poles, the stationary contact has become loose, and it's making a bad connection to the moving contact. On this pole, the meter is reading 60 ohms of resistance between the contact and the terminal, while the other pole is reading 5 ohms. 60 ohms is way too high, and would explain why the breaker got so hot and failed, right?
The thing is, it doesn't seem like anything catastrophic happened here, it looks like the breaker just failed with age. This breaker was probably put in when the house was built, about 40 years ago. Same as all the other breakers in the panel. Does that mean, that the other breakers could also be breaking down? Should I just replace all of them? If another one of them fail the same way, and I'm not around to catch the hot breaker like this time, it could burn the whole house down.

2023.05.28 09:09 basicb1tchsyndrome How can several late rent payments be explained (no evictions) when applying for a new place?

I have paid rent late at my current apartment several times since moving in in 2020. During that time I’ve went through illness, being a full time student, all while covering all of the rent due to my partner not being able to work unexpectedly, which is why I have not always paid rent on time.
I am now employed full time and healthy, which means I make more and typically don’t have a problem paying rent on time any longer. My partner is also starting a new job before we plan to move, meaning extra security.
We are planning to apply to rent a home within the next two months as we’ve outgrown our current place, and are very worried how the landlord will react if she ends up contacting our current apartment complex. We are also wondering if most landlords even contact previous landlords or if they just check your record for evictions???
Lastly, I’m wondering how we can explain these late payments, if the landlord obtains this info, so we won’t be automatically denied for this place. We really need a fresh start. Any tips on how we can increase our chances of getting approved would be appreciated. Thank you ❤️

2023.05.28 09:08 QuantumScutter Taking my former employer to an employment tribunal - What do I have to lose?

Hi All,
[England]
I am taking my former employer to a tribunal - I was not going to but a few weeks after I left and started a new job I still felt that "bullied" feeling and I know I will regret not doing something about it if I don't.
Basically, my line manager made disgraceful comments about my conditions, ADHD and ASD. We all had to do a drug test and they found I was taking lisdexamfetamine, I declared it, but OH shared it with HR and my Line Manager. I never ask for reasonable adjustments as the adjustments I need usually come as part of the role as I work solo and can listen to music and concentrate on things. But they never even offered them.
I asked for a SAR a few months back which I received about 2 weeks ago. It has lots of evidence about how I was treated unfairly. But it's mainly the personal comments She made during zoom meetings that were not recorded which I obviously can't use as evidence, she said some stuff in front of the team but none of them are willing to testify, She called me a methhead in front of everyone. "He can do it fast, he is on speed". I kept telling her not to.
Now I find myself in a situation where I think I have enough evidence but I am not sure. I think it could easily go either way because I have heard that companies play things by process and will likely give another reason for events, I have seen emails between my line manager and HR asking them what reasons they could give me for extending my probation as she had no real reason and HR told her to be careful, She would have had to pass my probation otherwise as I had met all objectives she had set out for me and had plenty of priase from colleagues. Shortly into the extension I gave the required 2 weeks notice and left for a new job. I know if I do not do something I will hate myself.
I spoke to ACAS so much as gave them examples of everything, They said I should be in Vento middle band. I had a brief chat with a solicitor but I do not want this to drag on for months or years, Who said I definitely have a case as there were many mistakes made. I do not really care about the money, I just want an apology and for them to go away and get some neurodiversity training, but apparently, I need to claim for injury to feelings if I do not want my job back. Solicitor also said that as they already have a legal team if I lost I would likely only need to pay fees for their travel.
So I am thinking of representing myself, if I am honest, I do not really care if I win or lose so much as I have done something about it, and it will be quicker. I do not feel stressed about it at all, I have felt relief since the day I started proceedings. I know the "sensible" thing to do here would be to just forget it. but I still look back at moments I was bullied in other jobs and even school and feel sick thinking about it. I am in my 40's now.
What I want to know though, Is what is the worst outcome for me, would the public tribunal record damage me in any way, do reference agencies look at this, say if I started looking for a new job again? Could I end up paying damages if I lose? Is it worth paying for a solicitor?
I am not eligible for free legal, I have enough money to pay for a solicitor, I would rather just use it for a house deposit.
Thank's for any help.

So here are 3 ways to generate traffic for free: 1. Become a member of the community that your customers interact in In my last post, I explained how I built a community from scratch, but at this point, I'm assuming you don't have time to spend 3 months building a community if you haven't even proven that anyone wants to buy your products. NEVER! I'll give you a few examples of how to post product pics correctly: Example 1 niche: dog niche product: dog collar You take a dog to a beautiful place. Example 2 niche: food and beverage/electronics Product: digital thermometer Imagine... "Inlaws are over, got this thermometer to make sure everything was cooked perfectly, Now everyone thinks I actually know how to cook." Example 3 Niche: candles Product: candle "Midterms are around the corner, sparked my favorite scent to set the mood tonight" (caption for the post in studying group or collage group) + a picture of an opened textbook and candle in the background, but you can clearly still see the candle label. 2. Grow social media organically This is a lot easier if you can afford to order the product that you sell. (Fun fact this feud between platforms is so deep that if you make a video on Tiktok and you cross-post it on Instagram without removing the Tiktok watermark, the Instagram algorithm will suppress the reach of the video) You want to focus on making short videos with a focus on real-life use cases of your product. I'd break this down into 3 steps. A. Research B. Content Testing C. Doubling down on what gets traction It can take weeks or even months to get a good feel for how to create engaging content. 3. Elite cart protection If you do under 10k a month most email marketing is irrelevant.

2023.05.28 09:08 Frenettuple ScrollViewer automatically scroll to bottom?

Is it possible to make a ScrollViewer automatically scroll to the bottom by default when the view loads, strictly through the view xaml? Like if there are any properties I can set to the ScrollViewer for this. I see there are several properties for ScrollViewer in the Avalonia documentation, but with 0 helpful explanations. Not sure if any of those are what I'd need to set.
I looked into this through google searches and see that it was asked a few times, quite a few years ago, which all still depended on a custom definition, class modifying, etc. basically cs work. Wondering if that changed at all in more recent years.

2023.05.28 09:08 Amazing-Salary6558 This isn’t hate, political,it’s wrong to ignore ppl who are dangers to others. She is a danger. How dare she allow her mom call an ambulance. Her mom could be legally charged.Adrielle & her privilege will manipulate & lie more to get out of trouble. If questioned she’d say she was just so worried.

Adrielle is so selfish she doesn’t care. She doesn’t care ab animals she doesn’t help or care for animals. She’s the reason all of her pets had horrible lives and then died without having the love they deserve all while she used them for attention online. The issue isn’t the fact she’s a hairy toad. The issue is in the fact she lies so much and will throw anyone under the bus . Just like the cop. I’m not a fan of cops but the man neither cop was rude , creepy, flirty, etc .. infant she claims she was soooo afraid. She was a target. Yet , he didn’t even ticket her . If it was personal for him and he had the mindset she fabricated in her hairy small brain… he would of been the one to happily ticket her. She never wears a seatbelt and drives like she’s 15 and snuck out in the car. She uses her whiteness . She’s not oppressed. If she was she would be up every morning working her ass off and she hold of actually been treated poorly by the cops. She can lead innocent ppl to serious trouble. She is so truly removed and unaware of how the real world is outside of the realm of TikTok and Facebook. She’s not oppressed . She’s not struggling she goes to Whole Foods and buys gross overpriced stuff marketed to idiots like her . She’s unaware of how the law works . False ACCUSATIONS and claims have hundreds of thousands of people in prison and in the system- one lie ab a man ab sexual assault of any of the other lies … can ruin someone and she is truly truly just so absolutely stupid that she doesn’t understand that people every day call in with this revenge type mentality against somebody else and makes false police reports against them, and that person often is found guilty of something they did not do. She could post a video, someone else, or the police find it, she forget that her lies are exactly that ally… Uber, her phone, all have information of who took that ride and where they went. If she wanted to help so much, she could also have taken a photo of the house talk to a police officer and pointed it out but she’s a liar, and it’s absolutely sick that she claims she almost died because of domestic violence. She’s never been hospitalized because of domestic violence that man was eager for her to get the fuck out and be done with her weird ass. She was never abused by him, she’s the abuser, and if somebody broke and shoved her because she is a psychopath that’s not abuse, she’s an abuser. She abuses her own family and children her lies are an issue. All of her made up little stupid fucking stories about being bullied. Well, she’s a bully … and are also absolute bullshit. Sick freak ! Her being an obvious pedophile is also an issue somebody who goes online to go as far to post a question publicly… Means that there was some sort of exchange between her, and that child, where some sort of relationship developed for her to even say that. She felt enough for a minor that she asked that… You also noticed she’s so very often talked about her ex, and his relationship with a 16-year-old Sounds like they are both some weird sick people. One day she will see a consequence and I hope that it’s publicly posted as well as her mug shot with her hairy face now that would travel so great in her 40 mile radius of fame people would love it and laugh she would become a meme, the fact that she is so selfishly and openly humiliated her children with those vile unsexy sexual Videos that she posted of herself, licking sex toys… pedophile, much? Knowing her children’s friends see all of her posts and give her fake attention that she thinks is so flattering because some little boys are lying to her telling her that she’s so hot… She think she’s famous, and people are jealous of her so-called platform. She can’t really think she has the biggest platform in her entire area or that she ever did have that… This person is not normal it’s person as a threat to society, though she’s not so mentally sick that she has no idea what she’s doing… she certainly needs to be charged for all of these lies, and for the ambulance ride if they even went, I’m very curious. I’m surprised she even still has a job with Uber. She’s a threat to them as well as other people the writers and just people all around. She is a threat she’s a liability she’s a vial Gross beast . It’s cruel and weird to do all that she does She is a prime example of absolute white privilege and entitlement. Nothing about her is tan or dark skin. She can’t claim that nothing about her sexy like a beautiful woman with melanin or tan rich bronze skin she sits in a tanning bed and looks like leather. she cries online, begging for attention And comments she needs them about her body how beautiful she is… Oh, well, she’s ripping apart people because of their weight !! I really can’t believe the way she gets away with treating her children legally as well… They’re clearly neglected emotionally and physically because withholding food in forcing veganism is not OK not allowing them to have regular food in their house is fucking weird. She is an absolute American.

2023.05.28 09:08 Desperate-Hall1337 Publishing books anonymously

I'm publishing a book later this year, but I don't even know any proper publishers. The book is fiction and is not to long; my first properly edited work. Furthermore, I need to use a pen name, because there is no way in god, that I'm letting anyone know that I wrote this publicly. All I'd like to know are the best publishers in Tbilisi, who do pen names.

Thanks

2023.05.28 09:08 GutsAllOverThePlace To whomever stole our PS VR2

May a very special spot in hell be reserved for you!
Apologies for the rant, just need to vent. Just moved across the country to find that one of the movers seemed to have helped himself to a box of our gaming stuff, including the PSVR 2. I guess I’m the dumb one for writing video games on the box, but on the off chance whichever person took it reads this, you suck. Yes, I’m a grown man and certainly play it myself, one of the biggest reasons we got it is for my son, who is 20 and has autism. He has loved cars since he was 5, and as he got old enough to see his friends drive, it always bummed him out to not be able to drive a real one. That was until he was able to play Gran Turismo 7 in VR, even though he mostly sticks to the go karts, I haven’t seen him smile like he does when he gets to drive and experience what other people his age do. I don’t expect you to do the right thing and return it, and I don’t know on which end of the move it was taken, or I’d make sure your ass was sitting in a jail cell for taking this from him. We’ll get another one for him someday when we’re able but it sucks almost as much to have to explain to him that there are people in this world that rotten. Whichever one of you it was even had the balls to shake his hand when he came up to you to thank you for working so hard to help us move. You seriously suck. I hope you get motion sickness and try to push through, then completely ruin VR for yourself the rest of your life.
Thanks for letting me vent, Reddit. I’m sad, I’m mad and have nothing I can do with all of it.

2023.05.28 09:08 SineFilter Ventures a couple years later...

I have completed all Ventures seasons. I and II were the worst. By the second season the mutiny had set in with a huge part of the original Save the World player base quitting. Notable stremaers bailed out left and right following the massive nerf to endurance and the game in general. (not that I blame them). Ventures was a ghost town. My friends list turned into a ghost town. I had Ventures groups only in the low, low level zones season II and III. Once you made it to Venture level 15 or so you had effectively outrun the crowd and were going to be solo for the rest of the run.
Over time I rebuilt my friends list and got to the point were I ran the last several seasons in under a week mostly on private.
This season I get hit with real life shenanigans and can't work on Ventures until basically a week ago. So we are about a month in? For giggles I decided not to hit up friends and just went public to see what was going on.
To my surprise there were groups everywhere across all power levels. A couple of those were three man parties but for the most part 4 showed up. A month late. Even in the low level content. I played NAE, NA, and EU depending on the time of day. Most notably NA groups were filling up at 9 a.m. even on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. (or Epic added bots to StW) The missions that did not fill were the very short ones that appear to have a time limit on joiners: Eliminate and Collect and Resupply, for example, on your own probably for those.
I had a freakin' blast. It felt like game release. Sure there were some flubs here and there, bad builds, bad starts, but I don't believe we lost a mission the entire time.
My one criticism would be the Power Level 94 wall. This is real. First time I have noticed in game. If you are low level in the regular game lack of leveled heroes is going to lead to a lack of health, and you pretty much get one or two shot somewhere around level 90+ depending on your progress in Save the World regular mode. I had a game in a 94 zone where I picked dead team mates up for literally the entire defense. Not their fault really so I wasn't holding it against them. I can't imagine that was fun to play however.
TL:DR - Came out of hiding to play Ventures public and went from zero to 50 this week. There are more people playing this game than there ever have been in the past. Don't be afraid to level up in Ventures mode, even this late in the season.

2023.05.28 09:08 Krookadile2879 I think I'm done

As soon as I get my ship date for the military I'm giving my 2 weeks, even if it's months in advance. I live with my parents who never worked retail. Every time I bring up me quitting soon they always say "You should keep it it's not like you'll get hired anywhere else if you tell them your only available for a month or two" But I don't want to work in these last few months. I would rather dedicate all my free time to training. The 5k i saved so far will be enough for any food or payments I need.
I hope I never need to work at any Walmart again. I'm gonna be sorry for my coworkers but I can't stay here.

2023.05.28 09:08 ConnivingOstentation Does anyone else find it easier to look at people's faces when they have accessories?

When I grew up, I had difficulty looking people in the eyes, either avoiding it or dissociating and my eyes become unfocused when making actual attempts. In a way I was "lucky" to talk to a guidance counselor that gave me the advice to look at their nose or in-between the eyes or eyebrows to trick them into thinking I was making eye contact. Not much "lucky" because I also have amnesia and assume what people interpret of me is the truth (ex: "you never have difficulty with [thing I actively struggle with]"), so I thought I didn't have this issue with eye contact.
With changing jobs and not having to rely on attempts on eye contact anymore, I noticed it started getting difficult looking at people's faces from not having to mask. I started just not turning to face people when talking to them or only glancing at their mouth or nose and then looking away or my eyes constantly dart away from them. However, like today, I noticed I kept dodging looking at people's faces or at their eyes as usual, but had an easier time looking at someone with glasses on when they were talking to me.
I'm not sure if it's the frame of the glasses itself giving an easier focus that works well with the advice I was given by that one guidance counselor or what, but does anyone else have something similar, or this type of experience? Do others here find it easier to look people in the face when they have an accessory near their eyes like glasses, or does the nose and in-between advice work for them more?
