2023.06.07 01:31 TheUplifted1 How do you deal with the thought of wasted materials?

I have been making a small metal part for a blade I've been working on for days now and being the stubborn type sometimes, I keep trying to fix it but it only makes it worse, so I try and redo it on new materials but it doesn't turn out as good so I keep working at it and it just repeats itself. Now I'm going to order another small sheet of metal and I'm really hoping this will be the attempt I'll be satisfied with. Does this happen with you all?

2023.06.07 01:31 Dry_Breed Healing from trauma is all about taking the path of most resistance

Its all about taking the path of the most resistance in order to resynchronise our body and mind.
When we were younger we couldn’t accept that what was happening was beyond our control because it would have made us crazy. So we told ourselves that we could change things if we just tried a little bit harder, were a little bit more caring, payed attention just a tiny bit more. It gave us back the control that we desperately desired, and with the control came hope. It helped us survive.
But now that path of least resistance is causing us more harm than good. Our bodies have moved on but our brains cannot. We need to accept what happened was not our fault, and we can’t control everything in our lives.
When I was younger I used to view my parents as either loving and normal or abusive monsters with little in between, because, again, this was the path of least resistance, and helped me survive. When I was in danger or was abandoned I needed to view them as monsters. Again, if I had understood their level of complexity, I would have gone crazy.
But now that splitting of people and things into all good and all bad is causing me more harm than good. It keeps me latched onto harmful things and often sprinting from healthy ones. It makes my self perception oscillate between high and mighty and a disgusting monster. Again, my body has moved on but my brain cannot. I need to accept that a gray area exists, and that people, including myself, are human.
In a similar way, I need to accept that I’m not alone, and that people are there to help me, even if in the past believing this was beneficial. I need to learn self love, even if self hatred fuelled me through so many years of abuse. I need to learn to not rely on anger, and to express sadness. All of these are paths of most resistance.
Instead of running from our triggers and traumas, taking the path of least resistance, we need to face them head on. Only through this painful path of most resistance can we heal and realign our body and brain.

2023.06.07 01:31 AdditionalToday9438 Spine injury - Scoliosis

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. My injuries occurred in 2011 when I was 24 years old. I didn't have insurance back then and did not get x-rays or an MRI till 2013. Not sure if that made things worse.
My first injury occurred while I was at home working out. I was doing dumbbell kick backs with my right arm. I got stupid and lazy towards my last reps, going out of proper form, then on the last kick back, pop! I fell to the ground in pain. Looking at a back muscle diagram, it feels like I injured my lower right trapezius next to my spine. I waited about 3 months. The day it felt better, I went back to train, stupid, I know. I should have given it more time as the muscle was probably still weak.
Now, the day I went back, I was training in jiu-jitsu class. I got stuck in my "partners" guard in a guillotine choke. I did not tap, I know stupid. I was not expecting my training "partner" to try to rip my head off my neck unexpectedly with sudden full force. There was a loud crack, so loud, everyone stopped training and started asking if I was okay. I left and have been stuck in this useless body ever since. Before this, I was an exceptional athlete. I trained people in kick boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling and was 2-0 in my MMA career.
Since that moment, my life has been lame. My lower cervical and upper thoracic spine are in constant pain and feel out of place. I'm constantly trying to pop my neck and shoulders. Turns out, there is a curve in my spine. I feel this was caused by the injury as my back feels completely different since that moment. I always feel like I'm trying to push it back into place. My right mid/lower trapezius is much larger than the left. It was never like this. I have numbness and tingling down my arms. My left arm feel weaker than it was before the injury.
My MRI revealed 4 bulging disc, degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my spine, sorry if those are the same thing, as well as the x-ray showing the curve. All of this at the age of 24 doesn't seem normal to me. I did physical therapy at three different places for two months each. It was not beneficial at all. The same pain remained. I went to the chiropractor, the first visit, he popped my neck and I was able to twist my head from left to right again without as much pain as before. I stopped going after 8 visits as there was no more progression. 2016 was my last attempt at getting this fixed due to money.
Fast forward to 2023. The pain is the same. I've done a lot of reading in this time. The doctor told me that my scoliosis couldn't have been caused by the trauma from the injury because there would have been broken bones, but everything I've read says otherwise. It's even called, traumatic scoliosis.
Even ChatGPT says it is possible(i know not a doctor, but not a gatekeeper either):
"Injuries to the spine, such as fractures or severe trauma, can disrupt the normal alignment and stability of the vertebrae. If the injury affects the growth plates or the surrounding muscles and ligaments, it may potentially lead to spinal deformities, including scoliosis. However, it's worth mentioning that such cases are relatively rare." - I know it says rare but it is possible, I could be a rare case. As the I did injure my mid/lower trapezius next to my spine before the more severe second injury.
So my questions:
1 - Is it possible that this curve in my spine was caused by my combined injuries? Can this be fixed? 2 - Does anyone know of any spine experts that may have dealt with something like this? I would travel anywhere in the USA if necessary.
3 - The doctor seems to be pushing for cortisone shots after my upcoming MRI, is this a good idea? Does anyone have experience receiving these shots and how much did it help and for how long?

Sorry for the post length, and thank you for any and all replies! Have a great day!!😁 x-ray and MRI photos are below.

2023.06.07 01:30 sucr0sis The Definitive Guide to Tirzepatide: History, Usage & Administration

There's been a lot of discussion stirred about folks coming into this sub and asking repeat questions. In my own experience, it's been very difficult to find the answers to the questions because a simple search often leads you to these threads where the responses are snarky comments noting to "use the search."
As such, I've decided to put together The Definitive Guide to Tirzepatide.
I am not a medical professional, chemist, pharmacist, or have any role in the production, sale, or prescription of this peptide. All of the research I will provide in this thread is curated through my own research and personal journey.

_________________________________________

Table of Contents

I. Background Information a. What is Tirzepatide? b. Original Use c. Embrace by the Weight Loss Community d. Potential Side Effects
II. Tirzepatide versus Semaglutide
III. Use & Application a. Recommended Dosing Schedule b. Understanding Reconstitution c. How to Measure Your Dose d. Administration

I. Background Information

a. What is Tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide is an investigational once-weekly injectable glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist developed by Eli Lilly and Company. It represents a new class of medications designed to manage blood sugar levels for people with type 2 diabetes. Unlike other GLP-1 receptor agonists, Tirzepatide is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, which essentially means it mimics the actions of both GIP and GLP-1 hormones. These hormones are involved in managing the body's insulin response after eating and contribute to feelings of fullness, among other functions.

b. Original Use
Tirzepatide was originally developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. This condition occurs when the body either resists the effects of insulin or doesn't produce enough insulin to maintain normal glucose levels. As a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, Tirzepatide stimulates the secretion of insulin, reduces the secretion of glucagon (a hormone that raises blood sugar levels), and slows gastric emptying. These combined effects help to control and lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.

c. Embrace by the Weight Loss Community
The weight loss community has taken interest in Tirzepatide due to one of its side effects: weight loss. This is a common side effect of GLP-1 receptor agonists. However, in clinical trials, Tirzepatide demonstrated superior weight loss results compared to other GLP-1 receptor agonists, catching the attention of the weight loss community.
In trials, patients with type 2 diabetes who were administered Tirzepatide experienced significant reductions in body weight. This effect is thought to be due to Tirzepatide's ability to slow gastric emptying and promote feelings of fullness, which can help to reduce caloric intake.
However, it's important to note that the use of Tirzepatide solely for weight loss has been considered off-label use until very recently. The safety and effectiveness of Tirzepatide for weight management in individuals without type 2 diabetes hasn't been sufficiently studied and should be pursued only under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

d. Potential Side Effects
As with all medications, Tirzepatide may cause side effects. In clinical trials, the most common side effects reported included:
  1. Gastrointestinal Issues: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain are commonly observed with the use of Tirzepatide. These side effects are usually mild to moderate in intensity and tend to decrease over time.
  2. Hypoglycemia: Low blood sugar levels can occur, especially when Tirzepatide is used in combination with other diabetes medications that can cause hypoglycemia, such as sulfonylureas or insulin.
  3. Decreased Appetite: This could contribute to weight loss, but could also lead to malnutrition if not managed properly.
  4. Injection Site Reactions: Redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site may occur.
  5. Pancreatitis: While rare, this serious and potentially life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas has been reported with the use of GLP-1 receptor agonists, including Tirzepatide.
Before starting any new medication, including Tirzepatide, it's important to discuss the potential risks and benefits with your healthcare provider. This is not a complete list of possible side effects, and others may occur. Report any unusual or severe side effects to your healthcare provider immediately.

II. Tirzepatide versus Semaglutide

Tirzepatide and Semaglutide are both glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, a class of medications used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. They work by mimicking the function of the GLP-1 hormone, which is involved in glucose metabolism.
Both drugs stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin, inhibit the release of glucagon (a hormone that increases blood glucose levels), and slow the rate of digestion, which together help to control blood sugar levels. They also have an impact on appetite and can promote weight loss.
However, there are a few key differences between these two drugs:
  1. Mechanism of Action: Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, meaning it acts primarily on the GLP-1 hormone receptors. Tirzepatide, on the other hand, is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist. This means it acts on both GLP-1 and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) hormone receptors. This dual action has the potential to offer more robust control of blood sugar levels and possibly superior effects on weight loss, although more research is needed to fully understand the benefits of this dual action.
  2. Efficacy and Side Effects: In head-to-head trials, Tirzepatide has shown superior efficacy in lowering blood sugar levels and promoting weight loss when compared to Semaglutide. However, both medications have side effects, which predominantly include gastrointestinal issues like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The side effect profiles of these medications are generally similar, but individual responses can vary.
  3. Cost: Prescription and Non-prescription access to Tirzepatide can be significantly greater than Semaglutide. As such, many that are looking to experiment with GLP-1 receptor agonists typically end up starting with semaglutide due to its affordability
As always, the choice between these medications would depend on various factors, including the specific needs of the patient, their overall health status, the medication's efficacy, side effect profile, and cost. Decisions about treatment should always be made in consultation with a qualified healthcare provider.

III. Use & Application

a. Recommended Dosing Schedule
The recommended dosing schedule for Tirzepatide is once weekly, at any time of day, with or without food.
The initial dose is typically 2.5 mg and the dose can be increased in 2.5 mg increments every 4 weeks, up to a maximum dose of 15 mg.
Tirzepatide should be injected subcutaneously (under the skin) in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. The injection site should be rotated with each dose.
If you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as possible within 4 days. If it has been more than 4 days, skip the missed dose and take your next dose on your regularly scheduled day.

b. Understanding Reconstitution
Peptide reconstitution is the process of dissolving a lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide in a solvent. This makes the peptide soluble and ready for use in a variety of applications, such as biochemical assays, immunoassays, and protein purification.
The process of reconstituting tirzepatide requires injecting BAC Water (bacteriostatic water) into a vial of tirzepatide. BAC Water is a sterile water solution that contains benzyl alcohol, a preservative that inhibits the growth of bacteria. It is used to dilute or dissolve medications that are administered by injection.
Here is a great video to review: https://youtu.be/iNnzIueOt_g

c. How to Measure Your Dose
If you are purchasing tirzepatide to reconstitute yourself (outside of a prescription), it is important to get your measurements correct.
Regardless of the size of the tirzepatide vial you get, you should only add 1ml of BAC water to it.
Once you've done so, you can use a Peptide Calculator (i.e. https://peptidecalc.com/) to get an exact measurement for how much you should be dosing.
For example:
-- You purchase a 10mg vial of your peptide-- Add 1ml of BAC water to the vial-- You want to do a 2.5mg dose (which equates to 2,500 mcg)-- You would use your syringe to extract to the 25
These values obviously change depending on your dosing, how much BAC water you add, the amount of your lyophilized peptide, etc. You should always use the calculator to get an exact measurement.

d. Administration
Tirzepatide is administered as a subcutaneous injection (under the skin).
Here is a video that shows the process.
Prior to administering the peptide, ensure that you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. I also like to use an alcohol wipe on the top of the vial before drawing the peptide.
I would also recommend that you take a deep breath and inject the needle quickly. The process should be painless, however you risk causing discomfort if you go slowly.
After you've completed your injection, remember to dispose of the syringe or pen responsibly.

______
I hope that does a good job explaining the basics of this incredible medication.
>> I reiterate that you should continue to do your own, thorough research before experimenting with Tirzepatide (or any peptide or research chemical) and talk to a medical professional before you begin. <<
I'm happy to continue adding to this post, if question arise or if folks find additional video content worth posting here.
I do not intend on posting links to any vendors who may sell tirzepatide - so you're on your own in that regard.

2023.06.07 01:30 BoliPC Reading Scripture through the lenses of the Holy Spirit

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
I did not give the Bible the time of day before believing in Jesus with my everything. I just don't recall ever sitting down to read it before, and if I did, I know I didn't do it with an open mind.
I merely believed what other people had told me about it, and many of those, not all, told me it was written by man to control the masses. Some told me they were good moral stories, as if it was wisdom from fiction. I likely read a page or two, and just took them at their word, not interested enough to find out on my own.
I know there are Christians that don't read the Gospel as much as people that don't believe Jesus is the Son of God. Satan Himself knows Scripture better than anyone, he was there through all of it. Take from that what you will.
It wasn't until I believed by faith and received the Holy Spirit that the Bible started reading clearly, as if someone nearly blind put on glasses for the first time.
If someone came to me, and asked for some verses to help introduce them to God, I'd pick the ones below to share with them. I'd pray for them out loud before sharing them, asking the Father, in the name of the Son, to open our eyes, ears and hearts to the Word. It wouldn't matter if they bowed their head, the fact that they are willing to listen is already a sign of respect that most won't offer Him.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” Genesis 2:17
The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4‭-‬5
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6
The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:12‭-‬13
By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:19
Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. Genesis 3:22‭-‬23
I and the Father are one.” John 10:30
Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Genesis 4:6‭-‬8
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; Romans 10:9
for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; John 14:16
In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. John 14:20
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 14:26
“Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:1‭-‬2
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36‭-‬40
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19‭-‬20
“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’] Matthew 6:9‭-‬13
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38‭-‬39

2023.06.07 01:30 yivx Being good looking means nothing when trying to get a woman to talk to you.

Background:
I’m a 35 year old straight male who has been a professional model most of my entire adult life. I’ve been part of big agencies (Elite, NY Model Managemebt, ect), and have what many consider to be “above average looks”.
That being said, I’m masculine and dress like a normal guy. I notice getting eyes from women, but little to no engagement and if I do, I have shit social skills and come off as very awkward.
More proof that if you’ve got a great personality, you’ll have much better luck with women. So far my looks haven’t done me any good.
Who else has experienced this?

First time with a cocktail
Been a perpetual Bad Mormon, and I’ve embraced it for years, but I’m from Moridor, so there’s not a lot of options to be anything else. However, I’m currently Sitting in a bar in Nashville, and the company pays for drinks (within reason). The bartender is super nice, and educated me on nice drinks. He recommended one called a “Last Word”, which reminded me about a post earlier about something that doesn’t taste too strong. I recommend this one if you late out for a drink, good exmo friend!! PS,..(outside of Moridor) the bar-scene is actually really fun, I can recommend whole heartedly. It’s not the Sleazy-crowd that they tell you it is..

2023.06.07 01:30 Baelishx Electrostatic vs UVC vs iWave-R

I just bought my first home and I bought a brand new furnace/AC. I'd like to add an additional upgrade. I have a 1" filter cabinet only and no space for more.
My main goals with the upgrade are less dust on surfaces (is that even possible?), mold prevention and odor reduction.
I've read bad things about ionizers regarding ozone production, but from what I read the iWave-R is very well liked and produces only minor ozone. The fact that there's low maintenance to the iWave-R is very attractive, and the benefits sound good on paper.
I'm looking at the "Air Ranger" as well. That requires media changes every 3-4 months, but that replaces my regular filter anyway so I'd be changing my filter that often anyway. The benefits don't sound as attractive as the iwave-r.
The UVC option looks interesting too, but my HVAC guy said it's a waste in my climate where it gets very hot in summer and super cold in winter. He said in all his years he's never seen mold on the HVAC units.
My other HVAC guy speaks highly of the "Dynamic UV" which is 120V.
So in other words... too many damn choices, everything sounds good, and I have no idea what to get. Any advice would be much appreciated.

2023.06.07 01:29 mrh_42 Need to get something off my chest

Need to vent / some advice
My partner and I recently had a child. We have only known each other one year. I am also recently divorced. Honestly, it's all been a bit crazy to be honest. I love my partner and I love our kid. I'm on paternity leave and I am stepping up as much as is possible. I'm cooking, cleaning, diaper changing, grocery shopping etc.
The issue is my income. I am in a tight position financially because I'm still paying off a mortgage with my ex wife. That on top of a limited income plus paying rent with my partner leaves me super limited financially.
This had caused friction with my partner on a few occasions already. She is remote worker for a large multi national and does very well for herself. Good for her, what's hers is hers. She is used to a very different lifestyle to the one I'm used to. I have gotten used to a very, very tight budget. She likes the nicer things in life. I try my best, but short of going further into debt, I simply cannot keep up.
Fast forward to today: its the beginning of the month, and I've only been paid half my salary. I am waiting for the local government to pay the rest. I live in a country with a very generous paternity leave system. This has meant I have been unable to pay rent this month. I told my partner in advance that this may be the case.
Today she blew up at me for not having paid this months rent. Some the things she said, fair enough, I guess I deserved to hear. But then she told me how my marriage had probably ended because of my financial shortcomings. This was a low blow. My marriage ended in a fairly rough manner and is still something of an open wound. My partner knows this.
Things have been frosty all day and she has now kicked me out of our bed.
So I'm on the couch, and I just needed to vent.
I love Daddit because all you gents are super supportive, and I guess I just needed an outside POV.

2023.06.07 01:29 sadmilkteaboba Worried.

Sorry for dramatic title but I just had a sleep study done last night but I’m worried because I was not able to sleep through it at all. I woke up 15+ times during the nighttime and kept moving. I was so uncomfortable and couldn’t get into a good position to fall asleep. I’m positive I have sleep apnea but I’m worried it won’t show on the study. I get my results tomorrow morning. I just want to get diagnosed already so I can get treatment. My sleep is terrible, my body hurts, and I’m just always so exhausted. It’s making it so difficult to live and I’m just over it.

2023.06.07 01:29 DryTechnician3364 I hate abortion, and seeing it defended makes me sick.

Delete if not allowed, just need to vent in a safely pro-life space for a minute.
I can't stand it anymore. I have a lot of controversial opinions, I understand not everyone will agree with my views, but nothing makes me sick quite like people arguing for their right to murder children. It literally churns my stomach, I can't get over it or let it go. It makes me so insanely upset. I'm a new mom, and while I was pregnant roe v. wade was overturned. I got blocked from the pregnancy subs I was in because I wasn't sad about it, and the fact that MOTHERS are demanding the right TO MURDER THEIR CHILDREN just makes me want to screech. I hate it, I hate abortion, I hate the world we live in saying that "it's not human" WHEN THEY ARE CARRYING THEIR BABY. It's disgusting, and my hope for humanity diminishes with every pro-choicer I see.
I'm at a point where I think pro-choicers need serious psychiatric help. The lengths they go to just to justify murder is unhinged. I can't just "be calm" and have conversations and try to sway minds, it's hard enough to not vomit. Abortion is the only social/political issue that makes me this way. I hate it, because it feels like I can't do any good because I can't even speak to "the other side" of the aisle.

2023.06.07 01:29 contextalways98 Midfield overbooking

So we got Aouar and we are looking to Tielemans too...even we rumors that he also trying to get Frattessi. Let's say he get all of them.
Matic will be a backup, but is Cristante gonna get benched too? He has having easily one the Best players. Pellegrini is totally gonna be in the starting 11, with Dybala and a striker with the spots safe too.
Are we still gonna play with a back 3?
Its a good thing to have a lot of options, but how the team is gonna play?

2023.06.07 01:29 CornSyrupMan CMV: I believe that bars are a sub-optimal place to meet women

CMV: I believe that bars are a poor place to meet women
Most bars contain more men than women. I have seen few if any bars with more women than men. Obviously this is not good. For the purposes of dating, we want a location with a maximum number of women and a minimum number of men. Men are competition, and women are the prize. We want a location that sets the preconditions for success, and this ratio is one of the most important if not the most important factors
Many alcoholics go to bars and for obvious reasons, alcoholics are a poor choice. People who you find in bars are more likely to drink with regularity. This is not a good thing for partner selection. Healthy, strong women are the preferred alternative.
While this is not a big deal, it is better to be able to meet women in a setting where there is not an expectation of financial transaction. Especially if we just met them, we do not want to be spending money on them just yet

For the reasons above, I believe that bars are not an optimal place to meet women. Feel free to change my mind or present me with new information. I am relatively inexperienced in bars and I would appreciate your perspective
