- I plan to game/stream as well as use it for work. I would like to run at 4K pretty well for both gaming and editing work, while also being able to run games at lower qualities and higher frame rates for competitive teams I am a part of, including: COD, Fortnite, iRacing. Would still like to max out settings for casual play for more fun games. For editing/work, I use Adobe products like After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom Classic, to name a few.

Goal - finish as high as possible in the most reacent season's premier league table.
Rules There are 38 matchweeks in the game of my life (roughly 9 months)
In order to win a "game" for a given match week I need to go 7 days no PMO (W = 3PTS)
I can draw if I slip up once in 7 days as long as I do my daily meditation 5 out of 7 days (D = 1 PT)
If I slip up more than once in the space of 7 days or I slip up once and fail to hit 5 days out of 7 meditating It counts as a loss (L = 0 pts)
Each day without PMO counts as a goal scored (GS)
Each slip up day counts as a goal against (GA)
Goal difference is based on goals scored vs goals conceded (GD +/-)
If I get more points than the title winners of the previous season I've won the league.
If we're level on points just like in the league goal difference is the decider.
So on match week 37 (may 2023) man city W = 28 D = 5 L= 4 Pts = 89 GS = 94 GA = 32 GD = +62
Can be easily tweeked to suit your needs...maybe you can even improve upon it but the main point is to create optimal challange with achievable short term goals(7 days) but with a view towards the long term (9 months) it's always about the next 7 days...theres always a reason to bounce back after a set back, every day counts, and it encourages small steps to a bigger goal. It also gives you an appreciation of the consistency and discipline you have to have as an athlete competing at the highest level. If I can beat man city...im better at nofap than guardiola is at winning games of football. If I make top 4 even...I'm a champions league level nofapper(lol its a bit of fun...nothing serious). You can make tweaks to this or probably even adapt this concept to your competitive sport or game of interest...I saw someone over here do it with chess.

So on match week 37 (may 2023) man city W = 28 D = 5 L= 4 Pts = 89 GS = 94 GA = 32 GD = +62
Can be easily tweeked to suit your needs...maybe you can even improve upon it but the main point is to create optimal challange with achievable short term goals(7 days) but with a view towards the long term (9 months) it's always about the next 7 days...theres always a reason to bounce back after a set back, every day counts, and it encourages small steps to a bigger goal. It also gives you an appreciation of the consistency and discipline you have to have as an athlete competing at the highest level. If I can beat man city...im better at nofap than guardiola is at winning games of football. If I make top 4 even...I'm a champions league level nofapper(lol its a bit of fun...nothing serious). You can make tweaks to this or probably even adapt this concept to your competitive sport or game of interest...I saw someone over here do it with chess.

The issue was the disconnect. Going to your computer (17 years ago. Finding a match. Going to console. Playing. Reporting outcome). We pivoted because the system needed to be in the Xbox or ps3. Just seemed like it was in their court.

I would think I would easily be able to see what the action is in the competitive space. But.. donāt hear muchā¦ it sucks because games just turned into sharks crushing new player. Butā¦ hard to say. Gambling is basically minimal workaround legal everywhere.
Large title creators have to be talking and trying deliver similar or compatible systemsā¦ or work within guidelines of āweb3ā¦ā I donāt get it. You can take tutorials through Adobe that tell you how to make clothing that will drape over characters in a variety of gamesā¦. But where are these marketplaces? Why are we still cool with paying stupid amounts of money to get worthless cyber outfits? Fortnite really depleted souls and expectations.

Now that it seems like the initial wave of blind hate towards the new ranked mode is mostly gone, I'm here to share my opinion on the internet (illegal) solely for the purpose of seeing differing opinions because it's interesting to me. You are completely entitled to your own opinions.
Personally, I don't think the new ranked mode is bad, but I also don't think that it's great either. I think that removing siphon and moving to a single loot pool inherently has a negative effect when it comes to balance. The heavy shotgun that one shots builds is absolutely nuts, and the fact that lightsabers were in even for a short bit was just hot ass. However, I do not think it's the "end of competitive Fortnite" as some people make it out to be.
I will admit the early ranks (basically up to diamond) were annoying and filled with what I like to call "the pub effect" where once a fight starts, every single person just feels the desire to join in and often results in 3rd parties galore (at least with my experience. I could just be bad at rotating and aggro. I'm interested to see if I'm alone with this one).
However, after that initial climb past the early ranks, it started to feel like comp again. It felt different, but not entirely worse. The removal of siphon made me change my playstyle a lot, where now I have to focus way more on playing my angles. It actually had a positive impact on me because I had to learn to adapt, and it sort of showed me what I was doing wrong. Not saying I think that siphon being removed was a good thing, but I guess it sort of made me play smarter? I'm not completely sure. I've also noticed that other people play a bit differently now, some good, some really weird. I'm not sure why, but it feels like people are way less predictable now, and just do strange things like pushing really far into zone after someone they don't even know is still there, which is very counterintuitive now that siphon is gone.
I do like the new ranking system. The only thing I felt was wrong with the arena ranks was how matchmaking worked. I'm glad that was cleared up. I sort of prefer the new system more, but it does have its flaws. The first one is point gaining and how lasting to endgame/pseudo endgame is basically the only way to get anywhere. Don't get me wrong, players should be rewarded for making it far into the game, but the fact you could get like a 8 kill game but die early and get less points than someone that gets like 3 endgame kills is crazy.
By far the most annoying thing with the new ranked is the long queue times. I literally had to wait 12 minutes to get into a game, and from what I've seen, that might be considered fast. Hoping this gets fixed asap.
For anyone wondering (or if it's relevant to the discussion), I'm Diamond I (getting close to II and rising fast) and have been playing since C1S4. I've consistently been getting to champs (or close) towards the last 3-4 weeks of the season ever since I started playing arena seriously. I'm def not the best player ever, but I'd still consider myself very good.
What are your thoughts?
