This different video game story idea is something I've worked on and posted on a different sub but now am posting here. I call it "Nanohazard", (inspired by The Future War in Terminator, Metro, The Last of Us, A Plague Tale, Halo, and Dying Light 2), it is a First Person shooter science fiction survival horror is set within the year 2096 in a post-apocalyptic United Kingdom (primarily Scotland and England), after a cataclysmic event many decades prior involving research with nanotechnology and AI gone wrong. Civilians find themselves engaged in a long battle for survival against self-aware and hostile machines, nanobot-infected humans dubbed "Cyborgs", corrupt military soldiers, and predatory survivors. The player controls frequent vagabonds/mercenaries: Artemus Kirk (for most of the game) and his estranged, adopted younger sister, Morgan Navarro, as they travel and fight for their survival through the harsh, fallen remains of the United Kingdom to search for remaining, long-lost loved ones of Morgan's whilst repairing, or at least attempt to repair their own strained relationship. I'm planning prequel called "Nanohazard: Combat Among the Skies", detailing five years before the events of the first game.

For a long time I have believed dreams were alternate reality’s, I rarely have a crazy dream leading me to believe such things, but this dream I just had has lead me to firmly believe it. I was in somebody’s house and my family was there as well, I looked at my hands and was throughly confused because I could feel the wind blowing on my hand. I looked up and my mother was there, I walk up to her and say “it’s nice to see you mom.” She looks at me and says “what do you mean?” “Well you live Ohio and it’s nice to have you back in texas.” She looks at me confused and I can physically feel my face scrunch from confusion. I walk around the house for a bit and realize we are at my great grandfathers house and he has unfortunately passed and my aunts and uncles are all there deciding who gets what, it doesn’t take long before a fight breaks out and I get tired of being there, so I grab my phone and it’s passcode locked and I stare at it for a second and punch in the passcode on my phone and it unlocks. Funny even in a parallel universe I still use the same passcode. I go to my contacts to call any of my friends and see if they want to hang out but I notice a contact named “babygirl❤️” So I call it and my ex picks up.(let’s call her emily) I am genuinely so confused at this point. “Hi baby what’s up?” “Uh hey what are you doing?” “Im just with my sister right now,but she said she wants to see you, do you want me to come get you?” “Uh yeah sure.” “Okay be there in five.” “Okay I’ll see you then.” “Love you.” “Love you?” For five more minutes I sit and listen to my family argue and get a text saying I’m here. I walk outside and there enough it’s her and her car her and her daddy where building that he said would be done soon. The door swings open and I immediately notice its her sister, but instead of giving me a rude look she gives me a hug and tell me it’s nice to see me, I crawl into the backseat of the car and look around she ask how my day has gone and I pause for a second “I don’t really know it didn’t start when you would have expected it to.” She looks at me funny and starts to drive off asking if I was hungry, I say yes and we get sonic (disgusting I know) and we sit and talk for a while her sister says she needs to go so we drive back to her house and drop her sister off and finally she asks me the question that made me realize I’m probably not dreaming. “(My full name) Whats wrong?” It makes me turn my neck so quickly I pop it For context I never told her my middle name “I don’t know who you are we haven’t seen eachother in months emily and now suddenly your in my phone saved as babygirl I’m very confused right now.” She looks at me confused as well and ask me to tell her what I mean. “Well first of all you cheated on me with your ex (call him mike) mike and got pregnant with him and it was a huge deal for nine months wether it was my or his.” She looks at me with shock “D me and you had a baby together she’s almost 6 months old mike hasn’t talked to me in almost a year, do you mean to tell me you don’t know what our daughter looks like?” “No, because it’s not my daughter.” At this point I don’t know how to explain I think I feel into a different universe so I simply tell her “I think I’m not from here emily I haven’t lived the life the man you know has I believe I’m asleep right now- She immediately pinches me and I feel the pain in my arm which confuses me to no extent “Did that hurt?” “Yes.” “Then you aren’t dreaming.” I build up my chest to tell her “Emily, I’m sure I love you but I don’t love you, I may love you on this world but where I’m “from” we haven’t spoken in months.” She looks heart broken I can’t handle it “I think I’m understanding now you are you but you aren’t you. You a copy of yourself in a different world?” “Correct.” “One where we aren’t together?” “Correct.” “What a shitty world.” “Semi-correct.” She looks at me with big sad puppy dog eyes and ask what’ll happen when I leave “I don’t know but I’ve theorized that when a event like this happens it’s almost like also being asleep so your version of D should just feel like he’s was asleep.” “Neat.” We have a little pause for a second “Do you want to see your daughter?” Another pause “No, because if I wake up it’ll drive me insane.” We look at each other and try to cherish what could be our last moments together and she tells me she has a idea and pulls me in and kisses me on my cheek “Not on the lips i dont know how to explain to you that I kissed you, haha” we sit in the car for a bit more in silence and I nod off and suddenly hear my name be called loudly and I open my eyes and I’m back in my room on my bed I look around. Back to my life. I check my phone there is no “babygirl❤️” nobody in my family had died and my mom is still in Ohio. The only logical explanation I have i I somehow traveled the multiverse and ended up in the one where me and my ex did work out and had our baby together. Or I could have just had a dream were I could feel things on my skin and feel the pain of a pinch and distinctly remember conversations but hey who knows?

A little background about my dog. I adopted my dog “E” (not her actually name lol) about 1 year ago from the shelter and she is very traumatized from her past. The employee told me they found her on the streets and that she is very sweet. I sat with her in the waiting room and she immediately rested her head on my shoulder.. that’s the moment I knew she was mine. Since bringing her home I’ve noticed she has anxiety, trust issues and doesn’t like men. She’s okay with women and kids, but will still bark at new faces. She loves my younger brothers! My boyfriend has been the only male she’s opened up to the most and quickest. She now goes up to my mom begging for belly rubs! She did not like my dad or older brother at first because for one they both did not like her. They said she was “too big” and I should return her. I’m sure that hurt E a lot and why she would growl and keep her distance from them. A couple months later my older brother brought a puppy home. E tolerates her little cousin, but since she has a soul of a grandma, they rough play for 30 minutes and she doesn’t want anything else to do with him. Plus he still has puppy energy haha. I don’t take her out to public places because I am a home body and the places I go to do not allow dogs. So yes, it is my fault that I did not expose her to other people. When people come over she’s all bark but no bite and runs away when they approach her. A couple months ago I took her to go visit my best friend for the first time and E did great with her. We wanted to take E out on a walk when her dad’s full grown female Belgium Malnois came around the car and attacked E. After my best friend’s dad got his dog, E ran to the porch to go inside, SHAKING. She was shaking for a long time. Her personality changed a little after that attack. Now, my family is coming to visit and bringing their male Belgium Malnois. I don’t know what to do. Do I keep her away from their dog? How do I introduce them to each other? Help!

Clearly we underestimated him. Americans can hardly believe that Biden blew up Nord Stream 2, essentially attacking our colony "ally" Germany. Perhaps they're still reeling from Kabul falling faster than Hanoi.
Normally Russia endeavors to cooperate with the sitting US president. However, Russian state media has begun airing the Hunter Biden laptop images, of Hunter engaged in drugs and pedophilia with preteen girls. This is retaliation for Biden crossing Russia's red line by repeatedly trying to sabotage Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). That's why Russia is willing to assist in the impeachment of a sitting US president, which is obviously an extreme step to take between two countries with enough nukes to blot out the Sun.
Rumor has it that China has also turned on Biden, which would make sense: China's economic backing allows Russia to survive US sanctions. China wants Taiwan, and Russia wants East Ukraine. They would be stupid not to cooperate.

ZNPP as potential Chernobyl

In case of really bad "accident" Russia will forget about development of the newly accuired regions, lack of energy produced by NPP is significant, nearly 30-40%. Accident will affect south of Ukraine with russian majority. It will also be also disaster for ecology of the WHOLE Black Sea. The basic facts are documented by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Even while shut down, ZNPP needs external power grid or diesel to prevent its reactors from overheating.
Russia controls ZNPP. A nuclear "accident" would give NATO pretext to intervene, so Ukraine keeps trying to cause one.
How bad is this? Well, Chernobyl is in Ukraine. That was a 1k MW reactor. ZNPP has six. It is the 9th largest NPP in the world.
Hopefully the containment response would be much better than Chernobyl's, but that's hardly something to count on during WW3. Russia's nuclear doctrine includes pre-emptive strikes; who knows what they'd do. The USSR nearly launched twice during the Cold War.
Imagine if China assisted Texas in seceding from the USA to rejoin Mexico, and then caused a reactor meltdown at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant when the USA retook it. A lot of Southerners would want to lob a few nukes back at China. They might demand it.
It is foolish to assume WW3 will not happen because it hasn't happened yet. One should look instead at the historical record of continual warfare, and the difficulties in preventing WW3 so far:

Thus one cannot rule out a radiation release 6x as bad as Chernobyl. Not that Ukraine needs anything so dramatic. It merely seeks a pretext to justify direct NATO intervention to "protect" ZNPP. A small leak will suffice.
Even if there is a major radiation leak, it will occur in Russian-annexed separatist territory, and help Ukraine defend her new border. Scorched earth is a valid tactic, whether the fire is conventional or nuclear. Ukraine survived Chernobyl and knows it can survive ZNPP too.

Why is Ukraine so desperate?
Ukraine depends on NATO aid to fight Russia. NATO aid depends on Democrat willingness. Democrat willingness depends on US public support. Therefore the illusion must be maintained to the American public that Ukraine is winning. For this reason, Ukraine has committed its reserves to a costly failed counter-offensive. Bakhmut fell regardless.
James A. Donald summarizes the strategic picture:

The USA expected to break Russia economically; China's economic support prevented that. Despite PMC Wagner's heartfelt complaints, Russia is unlikely to run out of convicts anytime soon. Most Americans cannot find Ukraine on a map. (To be fair, it hasn't been on the map very long.) Some will bring up the US intelligence leaks by Jack Teixeira to support the idea that Russia rather than Ukraine is desperate. Unlike Snowden, Teixeiera was obviously a major security risk for patriotically-motivated leaking, with numerous red flags in his previous and ongoing behavior. Therefore Teixeira was probably a deliberate leak by US intelligence, using a patsy to generate the initial leak and then add whatever extra info they wanted released in the resulting confusion.

Teixeira's leaks served several purposes for the Biden administration:

• Allowed the mainstream media to walk back their false forecasts of Ukrainian victory.
• Provided a right-wing scapegoat for Ukraine's defeat.
• Justified increased social media monitoring and censorship.

Most importantly, it mitigated the potential political fallout from another catastrophe like Kabul, should Kiev fall.
The 4chan leaker BB/Inb4source asserts Teixeira was a patsy.

BRICS vs NATO

The foundation of the US empire is the petrodollar, which allows the USA to tax the world via digital debt seignorage. This is why the creation of BRICS as an independent financial and trading system rendered war between NATO and BRICS inevitable, as Kim Dotcom predicted. The US republic is a thalassocratic empire as arrogant as democratic Athens, and it is addicted to financial plunder. The Empire cannot afford to lose the USD's reserve currency status.
Reserve currencies and empires both have lifespans, and the USA has reached the end of both. It is at the stage where hubristic foreign misadventures prove fatal, and Ukraine and Taiwan will prove too much for the American eagle to handle. This is no longer WW2; the USA cannot win a two-front war against BRICS.

That is why Biden's NATO is desperate; the Empire is unravelling as the European Union and other allies such as Turkey and India lose their faith in NATO.
The fact that none of this is common knowledge speaks volumes about who controls public schools and owns mass media corporations.

ZNPP's weak point is diesel fuel

The situation at ZNPP is tenuous and grim, workers report:

The fact that the backup diesel reactors have not been maintained is particularly concerning, considering they have already been used 7 times.

Ukraine keeps trying to force a crisis at ZNPP to justify NATO intervention. In other words, Ukraine keeps shelling ZNPP to cut the one power line that still connects it to the grid.

This is extremely dangerous, external power is required for reliable cooling of the reactors and pools containing spent nuclear waste. Western media spent months last year pretending Kiev wasn’t shelling ZNPP.
Notice that the Russian side keeps ZNPP connected to the power grid, while the Ukrainian side pretends it cannot until the Russian invasion ends:

As you can see, Ukraine is not interested in being reasonable. Russia is happy to leave the NPP free of heavy military equipment, but Ukraine demands the removal of all troops and landmines from ZNPP as well. That would leave the plant undefended, which is obviously unacceptable.
(This is how perverse incentives work. A little ally with nothing to lose can start a world war. It's almost like dividing the world into two hostile nuclear alliances is a bad idea.)
When ZNPP loses external power, huge diesel generators automatically switch on to keep the reactors cool. How much diesel does this consume? Truckloads per day:

Nuclear power plants have tough shielding. Allegedly the diesel generators are hidden underground. However, the diesel fuel supply is still vulnerable.
Normally the diesel generators have enough fuel for 10 days. However, ZNPP's diesel stockpile recently dipped to 4 days, according to 4chan leaker Inb4source.

Ukrainian saboteurs caught by ZNPP

On May 27, Ukraine accused Russian of planning to cause a leak at ZNPP:

OSINTdefender The Main Directorate of Intelligence for Ukraine has announced that the Russian Military is preparing for Large-Scale Provocation in the coming hours at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Southern Ukraine that will reportedly Simulate an “Accident” at the Plant causing the Emergency Leak of Radioactive Substances which will be Blamed on Ukrainian Forces.

Then Russia announced it had caught saboteurs (presumably Ukrainian) in ZNPP's city:

Saboteurs who were preparing terrorist attacks on the NPP were detained in Energodar. They had with them maps and schematics of the nuclear power plant with marks for strikes that could lead to a nuclear catastrophe. The suspects are involved in collecting and transmitting information about the facilities of the Zaporozhye NPP on the instructions of the Ukrainian authorities. To communicate with the curators, they used foreign satellite systems, as well as foreign weapons for strikes and equipment for conducting reconnaissance and sabotage activities.

Some object that the footage is "staged". Of course it is staged. The primary consumer of the helmet-cam footage is Russian military intelligence. The evidence shot was staged for their benefit. The short edited video that was released to the public has distorted voices, and avoids showing any faces. Thus even if the footage is authentic, it is still "staged".
The ZNPP maps displayed in the video don't appear to match the announcement text. The maps could simply show where diesel fuel trucks need to go. Russia does not wish to advertise the specific nature of ZNPP's vulnerability.
The saboteurs appear to be 3-man team, equipped with 3 rifles and 3 NLAW missile launchers.
The saboteurs had 5 frag grenades. Normally soldiers carry 2 or 3 grenades, but heavy weapons soldiers don't have to. The three smooth grenades are RGD-5s, a cheap outdated Russian model. The Russian troops removed the fuses from the grenades on the evidence table to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Some object that Ukrainian saboteurs wouldn't be so careless as to have printouts of the reactor map. However, the saboteurs' presence in Enerhodar already makes their target obvious. Presumably multiple teams were sent to intercept Russian diesel shipments.
The Enerhodar saboteurs would've been notified when satellites spotted their target. Until then, they should hide in the safehouse behind blackout curtains to avoid detection. The fact that these saboteurs were caught napping suggests a degree of incompetence, compared to other teams who presumably either avoided detection or fought back. One can assume that Ukrainian specops have suffered extreme casualties.

Qanon has lost a tremendous amount of popularity, as patriots grew disillusioned with the slow pace of the promised Great Awakening. They did not understand that Q is subordinate to a higher power with an agenda that does not necessarily include their survival.
Q aimed to help Trump save the USA. Q was sent by "Burning Bush", whose agenda is judging humanity, on the eve of WW3 and runaway de-terraforming. BB's personas started posting to 4chan's pol by 2016, whereas Q started in October 2017. (4chan is like the wild west of the Web: The world's spooks congregate there to exchange intelligence.)

BB claims responsibility for the historical pendulum swinging rightward, via figures such as Elon Musk. His method of influence is the butterfly effect.
"Burning Bush" claims to be God. One can think of him as the God of the Old Testament, or as a pagan god like Zeus, or as merely a transcendent extraterrestrial. However, he also claims to inhabit a human-looking body, lives on a ranch in the USA, has children, caught COVID19, etc.
Whatever one's theology, the relevant portion of BB's message is that the USA did not sufficiently embrace the opportunity offered by Q. Anyone who has read the Old Testament knows what happens next: Ignore the prophet, reap the consequences. Thus Q's slogan "Nothing Can Stop What Is Coming" should be understood in the Biblical sense, like Noah's flood: The Ark is optional.

Paul Furber is the chief priest of BB. Before that, he was a major early proponent of Q. See Furber's book for many verifiable examples of fulfilled predictions and proven scoops.
BB normally identifies himself by the unique image hash of his burning bush picture. (Nobody can generate that hash unless they possess the original image.) However, BB also posts as an anon users nickname "Red Skull", for his signature images of red skulls. As Red Skull, BB avoids the extravagant Biblical claims of BB, but the style and modus operandi and interests are obviously the same – as are his implied godlike powers.
I recommend focusing on facts and trying to prevent nuclear WW3, rather than getting hung up on theology. BB is not asking anyone to worship him or sacrifice chickens. He does prescribe prayer and a life of action governed by virtue.
I certainly do not recommend taking everything anonymous spooks say at face value. If you are, like most people, unable to think in shades of gray between binary true and false, this essay is above your reading level.

BB warns Zaporizhia is pivotal

BB has repeatedly warned that keeping Zaporizhia intact is critical to the survival of NATO citizenry:

His scenario is plausible and severe enough to warrant investigation.

Sounds like a severe leak, to lose 2 days of fuel in under 24 hours.

Ukraine HVT: Nuclear tit for tat

On 28 May Red Skull asserted that:

• Ukraine just did an underground nuclear bomb test in a borehole, to contain the radiation.
• Russia may retaliate with a pre-emptive strike at any time, against 1-2 high-value targets.
• West Ukraine may be reduced to the stone-age.

Inb4source has posted on 4chan since 2016, but he doesn't always use an image hash identifier, making it impossible to verify the identity of all of his early posts. As his popularity grew, others began adopting his catchphrase ">inb4source".
18016 posts on pol contain ">inb4source".
The first page of results suggests Inb4source is a pro-Trump military intelligence officer. He began posting in Aug 2016, before Trump's inauguration.
Another early Inb4source catchphrase is "I AM The Source." This has a double meaning, both theological and journalistic.
The catchphrase doesn't appear in every Inb4source post. Searching for it yields 437 results, too many of which are irrelevant results.
Searching for both phrases together yields 50 results that look to be mostly legitimate. One could then search for additional posts by each unique ID from a session.
Searching for image hashes is a reliable method of ID verification, assuming no one else has the image. I know of two such images that Inb4source/BB uses: both are red skulls, giving him the nickname RS.

RS just announced that his devices (phone, computers) have been compromised, casting doubt on the legitimacy of future RS posts. This may be a response to my publication of his warnings regarding Zaporizhia onto Reddit and Gab; the timing is suspicious. I first mentioned Inb4source on Reddit 7 days ago, and Red Skull on Gab yesterday (as of morning June 3). I do not know of any other analysts writing about him or connecting him to his BB persona.
When evaluating his warnings and predictions, remember that publishing info about ongoing events can affect the outcome, and is often intended to do so. Unlike the concept of Biblical prophecy, the future is mostly probabilistic. However, he is certainly good at scooping the news.

I am 14 years old and my mom adopted a presumably abused dog in middle 2022. The dog has never really taken a liking to me, but has seemed to like my mom and sister much more than me. If you have any tips on how I can change this please share.

I have a rat terrier mix. He is a rescue that I adopted when he was an (estimated) one year old.
He is now 12-ish. He has always been extremely energetic, cuddly, a bit anxious/neurotic ,chases the ball for hours , loves walks, etc.
He still chases the ball, but for shorter spurts of time. Still loves walks and his appetite seems fine. I have also taken him to the vet each year for the past 3 years for senior dog bloodwork and the vet said just 6 months ago “he has the bloodwork of a 2 year old dog”. His teeth are also in great shape for his age.
Overall, a very healthy boy.
However , within the last 6-8 months or so, he has been spending A LOT more time alone in a different room from us or wants to stay outside by himself (which is weird cus normally he always just wants to come back in and be with us)
The WORST part is he has stopped sleeping in the bed with me and now sleeps in his bed in another room. I hate it. He has slept in my bed nightly since I got him. About a year ago my new boyfriend moved in who snores and I honestly wonder if he just sleeps better alone now? Maybe he needs more restful sleep with age?
I can tell he’s slowing down a bit which I think is normal for 12. But I’m just worried about all the time he spends alone. I’m worried he’s depressed or I’m missing something. Also it makes me sad.

I felt like making some new sims today, who I also wanted to put into one of my newer saves (as townies) (yes, I'm using a lot of cc, but please keep reading). Everything was fine until I tried to move them from the library into the world: the game crashed immediately, but I wasn't worried because map view tends to give me that issue regardless of if I'm in live mode or edit world (not all the time, but it depends on the circumstances). So I rebooted the game, same thing happens. Then, same again.
So I decided to try in another save, since this save (Sunset Valley) was giving me some issues outside of this incident too. Tried in some other worlds, same result. I even downloaded Hylewood (which is beautiful btw!), a really small world that's fully empty just to test. Didn't make a difference.
So at this point, I gave up on this family, despite how proud I was of the main sim (it had 2 sims, 2 dogs. 1 sim human, 1 fairy). But I wanted to know what was causing it, so if it's a piece of bad cc I'd know what to remove, or if something happened to a feature I rarely used, I'd at least know about that. I created variatious 1 sim households, each with a different part of what the family had: cc clothes, custom sliders, fairy, the skin I was using etc. But there were 0 issues moving these sims in.
It was at this point that I started suspecting Sunset Valley. I created the family in a save that's in this world, but I have another save I played recently. This other save is also incredibly hard to play, though it hasn't gone on as long as my saves in other towns. From my experince over the years, it doesn't take long for me to experince mayor issues in this world; probably after 2-3 sim weeks my game starts slowing down, as well as often crashing. As it went on, it's gotten to the point where it crashes every 10-20 minutes (this is where I currently have 7 sim weeks). There seem to be some underlying glitch, because that's not long enough time for the town to overpopulate, though they do adopt more pets than any other town. Even as a child, I never had any long saves in this town because it became unplayable.
I just don't know why this is, I haven't seen that many horror stories about Sunset Valley in the community (though I know some updates exist for it). Why could this have happened to my family? Should I completely give up on placing them, or is there a way to fix this?

So we adopted our guy in December from a foster based rescue and were told he was very dog friendly and people friendly, which was great as I work with dogs and he could just come to work with me!
Within about 2 weeks, it became apparent that he’s actually very dog selective and keeping him away from other dogs is better for him and for us. We’ve really worked on him being neutral to dogs on walks since we live in a city, and muzzle trained him for situations where there was a chance a dog could run up to his face (and at some point in the future where we could safely socialise him with a few dogs we know he gets on well with as part of his training/behaviour modification). Yea it’s not something we really wanted to have to deal with, but we came to terms with it and really love him. It helps that he’s SO people friendly and docile and easy going. Even at the vet’s, he LOVES IT, no matter how many times they stick their finger up his butt (he’s had some reoccurring gland issues).
Literally loves every person he meets, is very sweet, super tolerant and has never shown any kind of warning signs or even signs of stress of uncomfortableness around people, strangers and me and my partner alike.
Today, he was in kind of a weird mood but it’s super hot and humid out so we were just doing short bathroom break walks and a lot of indoor ac time, and assumed it was the change in routine and struggle with the heat that had him seeming a little off.
At one point, we were sitting on the couch and he came over all goofy and so we invited him up on the couch because he isn’t usually allowed but he always tries. He curled up between us, super relaxed body language, and my partner bent down to kiss the side of his head and whisper good boy. At that he, again super relaxed, leaned in to it, so she repeated it to show me.
I had a hand on his back and felt him tense up super quick, give her the side eye, and then lunge snarling. Because I felt the tense up it gave me the split second to be able to grab him and chuck him off the couch but the whole thing maybe happened in about 3 seconds. Like zero warning and nothing about his past behaviour or body language hinted at it. As soon as the tension defused he was right back to his normal self, not sheepish or appeasing but super relaxed and sweet. Literally curled up at our feet for a nap.
It’s basically been how he’s been with other dogs, zero warning, zero trigger, and happens in seconds. Which is scary when he’s a 65lb dog because he really goes for it. Thankfully even with dogs he’s never gotten a bite as after the first incident we muzzle trained him and then after a few repeated occurrences we just kept him away from other dogs.
Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone has any idea what the heck happened. He’s honestly broke my trust completely and I’m trying not to catastrophise because I don’t want my partner to stress out about it too until I can figure it out.

Newish cat mama
So to preface, the kitty in question was my moms cat, when my mom passed in October of this past year I took the cat. In the time that my mom had this cat (since she was a kitten as soon as she was old enough to leave her mama, but she’s just turned 5 in April) the cat was very skittish and not affectionate of anyone except for my mom. Since I’ve had her she has settled into life with myself and my fiancé and our dogs surprisingly well and quickly, is fairly affectionate but we respect her space when she is wanting to be left alone. This morning I woke up to her licking me, she did this for at least 5 minutes and proceeded to lay on my chest, she has done both of these things before but I have never woken up to her actually lying in our bed or displaying affection for as long as she did this morning. According to my fiancé, she was lying next to me when he woke up so she had been there for at least an hour if not longer. What does this mean? Is there our bond growing? It may be important to add that we adopted a younger kitty (1y3m) in march of this year to give her a companion that she could have things in common with compared to our dogs, she had never been around another cat before and they have established a sweet, close and cozy bond quickly.

I have 4F Chihuahua-poodle mix, Mia, that I adopted in October 2020. She's always been really shy, anxious, and timid. She'll eventually warm up to you but it takes awhile to gain her trust. I met my now ex boyfriend in December 2020. I introduced them to each other in January/February 2021, so shes known him practically as long as she's known me.
Eventually we moved in with each other and she got used to being around him and his dog. She actually became especially fond of him, always hanging out in her bed in his office or sitting on his lap while he gamed. Unfortunately things just weren't working out in our relationship so after a year I moved out and got my own apartment. Shes always loved her crate but ever since the move she stays in there 24/7. She just seems more sad these days. My ex and I are still on good terms and remain friends. He watched Mia while I was on a work trip and he comes by every now and then to drop off mail or things I've forgotten at his place. Everytime he comes over Mia gets so excited and has the zoomies. She whines the entire time he's there and then even more when he leaves. She eventually calms down but it breaks my heart to hear her in distress.
I'm wondering if I should just stop having my ex see her? We are planning for him to dog sit again while I'm out of town next month but I'm debating whether it's a good idea or if it's just going to confuse/upset her to stay with him for a few days and then come back home to me.

I'm sure we've all had this experience before, where you have an angry client either in person or over the phone that for whatever reason, you can't make them happy or come to an understanding. How do you handle this? What kind of tone or language do you use? Are there any specific resources that have helped calm down the situation.
I personally like to explain to them why we can't help so that they can better understand, and keep resources nearby to refer to, so I am not just declining them but also giving them other options as well.
I have had a couple of clients today though that I simply was unable to make happy. One wanted us to fix an infection in their cat for low cost/free (illegal for us as we have no doctor). Another wanted to surrender a dog to us (we are by appointment only, and they didn't want to bring the dog to their local animal control 'because they kill'). Another was upset they couldn't adopt a dog out, when their wife was not on board with it. In these cases, they either couldn't understand or didn't care to understand, and other options were not seen as viable to them. They end up leaving angry.
I know I can't make everyone happy, or even neutral, but there must be a trick I'm not getting because I get a lot of angry people daily.
