They must be the one driving for the solution. They have to want it more than you do. They have to be more engaged in the process than they are face to face. When you sell virtually the more you talk, the worse your close rates will be. When you are sitting with a prospect together, it’s easy to have the momentum of the meeting and the relationship you’ve developed together carry the sale to the finish line. This does not happen virtually. There is a distance, a void between you and the prospect that is easy for them to take your information and disappear, taking it to another advisor they know better. Presuppositional Selling does two important things. First, it structures the sales interaction in such a way that the prospect discovers intrisically the problems, pains, gains, and desire for a solution. The Crucial 1st Appointment The first appointment in the leverage point that determines the success or failure of your entire sales process. - How to create authority in the first 30 seconds of a first appointment, by doing the EXACT opposite of what your prospect expects…and what every other salesperson does.
- The Credibility Transfer: How to use “borrowed credibility” to get your prospects to trust you—even if they don’t know who you are.

- RAPID SUCCESS IN JUST 20 MINUTES: Learn how to do a first appointment in just 20 minutes over the phone, no technology needed.
- The Decision Matrix: This is the most critical part of the entire sale…and it’s made right here. (Most producers hit only 1 out of the 4 keys to the decision matrix and it costs them sales constantly.)
- STOP THE HATERS: How to ensure competitors, incumbents, and other ‘characters’ don’t blow up your sales with bad advice to your clients. (PLEASE, if you do nothing else, learn this critical component to stop losing deals needlessly!)
- The “golden thread of motivation”: This is the thread that holds the entire sale together. When a prospect forgets why they called, why they are meeting with you, or why they are buying, you will fail in closing the sale.
- The “Fried Chicken Rule”that ensures your prospect is engaged and selling themselves, not tuning out.
- How to set ROCK SOLID second appointments to ensure you never get a ‘no show’ on your next appointment.

2023.06.11 01:48 bukusnoot Calcium question/recipe critique
I have a 65-pound American Bully and give her five cups per day - half at breakfast/half at dinner and I add a Herbsmith Microflora Plus Probiotic capsule, a teaspoon of fish oil, and 1.5 Calcifood wafers to each serving. I would love any feedback on the recipe itself but am also specifically looking to find ways to ensure my girl is getting enough calcium without having to use the Calcifood wafers (they cost about $40/month). Per day from the wafers, she currently gets 580 mg of calcium and 160 mg of phosphorus.
My girl also has skin allergies and I've done elimination diets for poultry and beef with no luck, so any advice on what to add that may help the allergies or what to replace to try another elimination diet (perhaps the rice?) would be appreciated as well!
- 3 pounds ground meat (usually chicken, sometimes turkey; I use a pound of ground beef here and there for variety)
- 3 pounds veggies - 1.5 pounds fresh zucchini and 0.5 pounds fresh carrots chopped, a little over 1 pound of two other frozen veggies (green beans, peas, broccoli, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, brussel sprouts)
- 0.33 - 0.5 pounds chopped organ meat (beef kidney or heart)
- 1.5 cups of two types of fruit (blueberries, apples, pears or banana)
- 0.75 cups of white rice
- 2 cups decaf green tea
- 1 cup water
- 6 tablespoons of coconut oil
This lasts me 3.5 days giving her five cups per day and she has maintained a healthy weight being on this diet for about 1.5 years now. It's amazing the difference I see in her coat and energy levels since switching from commerical food to this and I would love to make it even better for her. Thanks in advance!

2023.06.11 01:28 fox-equinox I watched Dominion with my partner
As most in the vegan community have, I heard about the animal agriculture documentary Dominion. I've avoided watching it, knowing what the subject of the film is, and already being aware of the atrocities committed against the innumerable number of animals behind the walls of these places. I didn't think I could stomach that kind of visceral, brutally honest and analytically observant inside look into the lives of these animals that we demand live under these conditions. We both decided to stop at the 38 minute mark, after the segment featuring standard practices regarding pigs and halfway through the segment about chickens.
I've been at odds with my partner, loving him with an intensity only matched by the stark awareness I have of the knife wielding, electro-shock/gun bolt to the head violence that he was partaking in. He is the most genuine and intellectually honest person I've ever met. Ironically, I was vegetarian when I met him, and seeing how steadfast he was in his morals and loyalty to others was what finally pushed me to be vegan two years ago. He was consistent in his treatment of friends, family, and his resolution to uphold the values that he holds so close regarding personal integrity.
I love this man very dearly. He's supported me during family cookouts and the occasional remarks about what I'm choosing to put on my plate. But until we watched this documentary he wasn't able to contextualize what we do to animals. One of the scenes that affected him the most were the sows in their farrowing crates, unable to move, and crushing their young to death beneath their immobile bodies. That and of the young girl tossing a tray of baby chicks into a pen full of other chickens.
It was the worst horror movie I've ever seen in my entire life, and I've seen some fucked up horror movies. He was a film major in college, trying to look at it initially through a film makers lens. He mentioned how cold and analytical it was. No pandering to emotions, apolitical. The film shows you what's happening, and requires nothing other than statistics and footage to instill on the viewer a sense of dread, horror, and sadness.
Seeing pigs in a rotating gas chamber... Shot in the head, stunned with prods, throats cut, tails docked without medication, forcibly impregnanted with semen, using male pigs to "excite" sows and kicking them out of the way to insert semen specimens into them. Throwing baby piglets across a room by the ankles. Fuck, the list goes on. He couldn't even watch it anymore.
So uh... He threw out all of the animal products he had in the fridge and we're making vegan enchiladas tomorrow with a modified recipe from his abuela 🥹

2023.06.11 01:12 BizzMarquee I don’t think I can do it anymore
I went vegan about 9 months ago for ethical reasons. It was great at first, but I’ve been really struggling the last month and feel guilty about stopping. My gut has never adjusted. I’m so bloated/gassy all the time and have gained a little weight. Even when I count calories, my weight doesn’t go down.
I am also under a great deal of stress between grief over losing my mom, job searching and potentially having to find new housing. My mental health is wrecked and veganism isn’t helping things. I hate having to analyze every ingredient and all the prep work involved and having to turn down food. I hate having to spend $5+ for mayonnaise and cream cheese. “Just make your own. It’s so easy,” they say. “You don’t need that stuff. Rice and beans are cheap,” they say. I am exhausted and hungry. I love tofu, but I don’t know how much more of it I can eat. I miss egg sandwiches. I miss yogurt. And turkey sandwiches. And chicken caesar salad. And aged extra sharp cheddar cheese. I want a damn pizza with cheese that doesn’t taste like glue. I miss having a normal life.

2023.06.11 00:53 SiSiSartre 36 [M4F] Canada / international - Do you have a 'thing' for white guys?
Yes! I know this is totally a problematic question to ask - but here we are on reddit and i'm asking it anyways! And besides - I know these types of girls exist, and, even more so - you opened this post!
So even if it's not something you'll admit openly, I still think it's positive to get to talk about it out in the open in a place like this!
And it's one thing to type it out but maybe it turns out i'm just your type!
As for myself i'm your fairly typical Canadian living right smack in the middle of a metropolitan city. My biggest hobbies are making music with my friends and heading out to local shows and concerts, soaking up the culture and meeting people. I'm also really into museums and galleries and vibing on that city experience.
but let's be real I haven't been doing a lot of that these days! These days i've been spending a lot more time in the kitchen exploring new recipes and love learning new ones! this yes I took a crack at Bahn Mi, Mapo Tofu and Jollof rice - and i've been ordering a lot of jerk chicken :D
TL:DR
I like meeting people with different lived experiences and think it's positive to connect over difference - whether you're one block over or half way around the world!
I am a 6 foot tall lanky urban white dude. Broad shoulders, blue eyes.
Looking for a girl for Online chats and flirts with possible lowkey hangouts, coffee and beer dates and occasional gallery visits.
My likes: Performing, music, weird movies, Blanket forts, exotic food, looking at bugs and birds and other pretty animals.
My skills: Cooking, canoodling, bikes with no hand, excellent smoocher. Cartoon voices. Silly jokes

2023.06.11 00:43 J7xi8kk Chickpeas Stew with meat (Spain)
Chickpeas are a legume that need to be soaked before cooking, so they must be in water for at least 12 hours before making the recipe. We recommend that they be left the night before. You can also use canned chickpeas, so you would save this previous step. After that time, we drain them and put them in an express pot together with the potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces, and the carrots prepared in the same way. On top we will put the meat, the bacon and the chicken and cover everything with water. We put the uncovered pot to boil and we are removing the foam that will come out on top. Then we add the chorizo and the black pudding, cover the pot and cook for 45 minutes from the moment the valve starts to turn. When the steam is finished, we open the pot, add salt to taste and serve. To eat! We would already have prepared our chickpea stew recipe, a typical dish of our land full of flavor and textures. In addition, the whole family likes it and it is ideal for winter days.

2023.06.11 00:36 olesilk what happened to chinese food chicken nuggets???
this is pretty specific but if you have never had chicken nuggets from chinese takeout, they are the most succulent yet perfectly crunchy and seasoned chicken nuggets i've ever had. my bf introduced me to them and they have ruined my standards for all other chicken nuggets forever. until around like 2020. it's like the recipe completely changed and now they taste like soggy cardboard. maybe it's just my area, but anyone else notice this? where can i find nuggets like this again :(

2023.06.10 23:55 Fearless_Ad_6447 [TOMT] [YouTube video] Documentary about restaurant in Asia serving steamed chicken
Hello. Hope you're having a great day. I'm not good with Reddit but here I go...
I'm looking for a YOUTUBE video filmed like a documentary (Inside, Great Big story and the likes). About a "fast food" chain restaurant in an Asian country that serves steamed Chicken. Or something very close. (Hainanese chicken, etc...) The chicken was a chicken breast, white, skin on top, cut into strips, not crispy, looked soft and not grilled at all. Light soy sauce or something on it. Could have been duck but really I think chicken.
The video was about how two families where "fighting" about being the best chain for this type of chicken (maybe duck) in the country. I maybe remember something like "even the king/emperopresident loves this chicken !).
It showed the families and how their shops are VERY OLD, they make their traditional recipe since a long time. And how "who will take the business now that the parent is old"...
One of their shops was in a big food court, and people ate the chicken with rice, mostly.
There were also experts on asian food (again don't remember which country) talking about how they were the best dish and why, etc. Perhaps a... 20 minutes videos ? Not too long.
Very good quality video, amazing shots, good commentary audio. The channel made other food related documentaries maybe.
Thank you so much ! ❤️❤️❤️

2023.06.10 22:49 InfernalSaviour I wish the show writers had given Julia her revenge
Honestly, I feel that it would only have been fair to allow Julia to kill Reynard. His son (Gaines) even sacrificed himself to give her a weapon (the magic bullet) to give her the chance to end his pitiful life. But the show writers chickened out for some reason. It made no sense whatsoever to me.
To have violated Julia in such a way and allowed Reynard to continue to live was a huge slap in the face. They sacrificed the chance to take Martin down with the Leo blade. They also killed Reynard’s son for nothing. For him to just get whisked away by Persephone and what, be punished?
I believe in giving victims the power to carry out the justice they deserve. And Julia definitely deserved it. She had to remove her own shade to keep herself from ending her own life. She had to abort and it took a lot out of her. For Reynard to walk away free in a sense?
Absolutely frustrating and disappointing, as well as disgusting. Zero reason for him not to end up with a bullet in the head.

2023.06.10 22:36 bananafrisbee Budget friendly wet/dry cat food
Hello! I am going to college soon and I am very lucky to be able to bring my kitty along. After her spay she started to gain some weight around and she has definitely had some problems with gas. Not to mention she’s extremely picky about food and switching her to different foods has always been a fight which she will go on hunger strikes over. She also recently developed skin issues that I believe is over grooming and stress related since my husband is prior military so we have moved quite a few times and she has even had to live separate from us due to housing issues. I’m so lucky that we are about to be stable with housing but we won’t have nearly as much income as we used to so now my dilemma is what would be a good cat food for heshould i change her food at all? Currently she is eating Fussie Cat Market Fresh dry food and sometimes Stella and Chewy Raw Coated dry food. With wet food she mostly hates anything I give her but will occasionally eat Cat Person shreds but only in the fish flavors. She definitely has preference for chicken and fish but mostly fish. Should I switch her food? Are there cheaper options that are still good quality?

2023.06.10 22:06 BudandTender The Rise of CBD as a Wellness Supplement
| Global Wellness Day 10th June https://preview.redd.it/gmo84qvsy85b1.jpg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3467adca27cb9bd0bacb8f419db0072347571a6 Introduction Cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD, has taken the wellness industry by storm in recent years. With its growing popularity, it's essential to understand how this natural compound can be used as a wellness supplement without discussing any medical uses. Derived from the hemp plant, CBD is a non-psychoactive component that doesn't produce the "high" associated with marijuana use. This article aims to explore the various ways people are incorporating CBD into their wellness routines and the potential benefits they may experience. 1. Stress and Anxiety Relief In today's fast-paced world, many individuals are constantly searching for ways to manage stress and anxiety. One popular method is through the use of CBD supplements. Although not medically prescribed for these conditions, anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD may help promote relaxation and a sense of calm. By supporting the body's natural ability to cope with stress, CBD can potentially improve overall mental well-being and contribute to a more balanced lifestyle. 2. Sleep Support A good night's sleep is crucial for maintaining optimal health and well-being. However, many people struggle with insomnia or poor sleep quality. Some individuals have turned to CBD as a natural sleep aid, claiming that it helps them fall asleep faster and enjoy a more restful slumber. While the exact mechanisms behind this effect are still being researched, preliminary findings suggest that CBD may interact with the body's endocannabinoid system to regulate sleep patterns. 3. Post-Workout Recovery Athletes and fitness enthusiasts are always on the lookout for effective ways to enhance post-workout recovery. CBD has emerged as a popular supplement for this purpose due to its potential anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation is a natural response to physical activity but can sometimes lead to discomfort and delayed recovery. By incorporating CBD into their wellness routine, some athletes believe it helps reduce inflammation and muscle soreness, allowing them to bounce back more quickly after intense workouts. 4. Skincare and Beauty The beauty industry has also embraced CBD as a key ingredient in various skincare products. Rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, CBD-infused creams, lotions, and balms are believed to help combat common skin issues such as acne, redness, and irritation. Additionally, CBD's potential moisturizing and soothing effects make it an attractive option for those seeking natural alternatives to traditional skincare products. https://preview.redd.it/q9lgr2cxy85b1.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e4cbf3093331ed6271bbad1e51e12cf1e9c8041 5. Mindfulness and Meditation Mindfulness and meditation practices have gained popularity as effective ways to promote mental well-being and relaxation. Some individuals incorporate CBD into their mindfulness routines, claiming that it helps enhance focus and concentration during meditation sessions. By potentially reducing distractions and promoting a sense of calm, CBD may serve as a valuable tool for those looking to deepen their meditation practice and achieve greater mental clarity. 6. Pet Wellness The use of CBD isn't limited to humans – many pet owners have also begun incorporating CBD supplements into their furry friends' wellness routines. Although not medically approved for pets, anecdotal reports suggest that CBD may help alleviate stress, anxiety, and discomfort in animals. Pet-specific CBD products, such as treats and tinctures, are formulated with appropriate dosages to ensure the safety and well-being of our four-legged companions. https://preview.redd.it/h4h8vuq0z85b1.jpg?width=1155&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e083ae1e3a47ee33adfdefde7a3e7d1601788036 7. Culinary Creations For those who enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, CBD can be a versatile and exciting ingredient to incorporate into various recipes. From smoothies and salad dressings to baked goods and gourmet dishes, the possibilities are endless. By adding CBD to their culinary creations, individuals can enjoy the potential benefits of this natural compound while indulging in delicious and nutritious meals. Safety and Quality Considerations With the growing demand for CBD products, it's crucial to prioritize safety and quality when selecting a supplement. Consumers should look for reputable brands that provide third-party lab test results to verify the purity and potency of their products. Additionally, it's essential to start with a low dosage and gradually increase as needed to determine the optimal amount for one's individual needs. Conclusion As the popularity of CBD continues to rise, more and more people are discovering the potential benefits of incorporating this natural compound into their wellness routines. From stress relief and sleep support to skincare and culinary adventures, CBD offers a versatile and exciting way to enhance overall well-being. By prioritizing safety and quality, individuals can confidently explore the world of CBD and discover how it may contribute to a happier, healthier lifestyle. submitted by BudandTender to u/BudandTender [link] [comments] |

2023.06.10 20:17 Western_Ad3581 Need help for disabled adult son regarding testosterone levels
I have a 26 year old son who was diagnosed with autism at age 2. He has lifelong communication difficulties. Because he looks “normal,” people/doctors expect him to communicate normally. He has problems communicating, processing language and information, and holding simple conversations. The best example I can give is that if he orders food at a fast food restaurant at the counter, and the employee taking his order asks him to clarify his choices, he will not be able to process the questions they ask consistently. He will sometimes and often reply yes or no inappropriately, or completely go silent. I will have to explain to him what is being asked and prompt him to answer correctly. He also hand flaps when excited, worried, upset, etc. He is over 6 feet tall and again, has no physical signs of disability. He has gained 50 lbs over an approximately 3 year period and is extremely fatigued daily. He has a very straggly beard and has never shaved. He has developed breasts and is extremely self conscious. His pcm did blood tests and his testosterone was 225. He was referred to a urologist and saw a PA at the practice.
Because he needs to be independent, we discussed his concerns and symptoms before his appointment and agreed he would speak for himself as much as possible He did pretty good explaining how he felt. I was proud of him.
The PA expressed at the initial appointment that testosterone therapy was not recommended for him because it would affect his fertility. (He has never had a gf and could not care for a child at this point in his life. He has never expressed to me that he would like to become a father.) He told the PA he was not worried about having kids. The PA ordered a bunch of tests and we made a follow up to discuss results in 3 weeks.
The follow up was a few days ago. His testosterone was measured at 205 while the other tests were all considered normal. The PA declared my son’s testosterone test was fine. I asked if it was considered low, and they replied that they had seen lower. The PA said my son was ok and no further tests were needed and he didn’t require testosterone replacement therapy.
The symptoms of weight gain, fatigue, and his development of breasts are extremely concerning to my son. The PA recommended a healthy diet and exercise. I agree that is necessary. He cannot cook and I do make all of our meals. He has food issues and only eats certain foods and his developmental doctors have said that is something that goes along with his diagnosis. He eats very plain food- chicken or burgers with no condiments. Plain white or brown rice or pasta with only salt. Toast with butter. Plain bagels. He doesn’t like cheese or sauces. He does eat chips, vanilla ice cream, and some other junk food, but he is extremely picky about even those kinds of food. He eats only cheese pizza. I completely understand his food choices/aversions are not optimal. He has a treadmill he walks on 3 times a week for 2 miles. He joined a gym a few months ago but couldn’t take the environment and people, so he decided he would walk on a treadmill at home. We have talked about him walking more. He agreed he has to and has decided to walk every day for 2 miles.
I have come to this sub for advice. I am his mom. His dad and I divorced and his dad moved out of state and has no contact with our son by his choice. That is upsetting to him. His dad cannot accept the behavioral and developmental issues our son has and basically deleted him from his life.
My question is this: how can I help my son? I’ve read medical literature that tells me his symptoms and test results indicate he could benefit from testosterone therapy. I know I need to help him eat healthier and try to keep him walking on his treadmill. At the follow up I asked the PA questions about the blood tests and they offered him an appointment with a urologist within the practice, which we scheduled, but they cautioned me the urologist would not prescribe my son testosterone therapy either. It is upsetting to me on another level because low testosterone can cause chronic health issues when he is older, never mind the symptoms he currently has.
Sorry for the long rambling post. Really any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
