how do you remove the redirect virus?
2023.06.06 23:57 firespark84 how do you remove the redirect virus?
so I recently installed this browser and realized it was a redirect virus. I have purged all files relating to it from my pc manually, but the virus still remains. I may have to just do a full reset of my pc, which wouldnt be too bad since most of my stuff is cloud based, but does anyone here have a way to fix it? all files relating to it were purged and all chrome extentions removed.

2023.06.06 23:54 Senor_Confuzzled I'm getting pretty tired of Ghostrunner wrecking havoc with my graphics driver, any help appreciated
Have been trying to return to Ghostrunner again because I'm bored and I really like this game but the same issues it has given me in the past has not gone away.
I am able to run this game perfectly fine and play it around medium settings at 80-100fps. However, I am victim to the seemingly not so rare bl then both of my monitors go to sleep. The computer stays on, the music in the game keeps playing, my keyboard and mouse both stay on as well. I, as any frustrated gamer would, returned to google only to find that techsupportgeekquickie.com has told me to close programs running in the background and try updating my drivers for the 17th time. Any tips from websites like these have proven basically useless.
The only way to make my computer usable again after the monitors go black is to power off with the button on my case and power back on again. When I do so both of my monitors display the login screen and the display settings tell me that only my secondary monitor is being recognized despite the image displaying mirrored on both screens. A little poking around in device manager tells me that there is an issue with my gpu (no shit) and that the device has been disabled (code 22). When I go to manually turn it back on I am able to do so but the prompt then reads "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)" Still in device manager, when I go to update drivers through device properties windows tells me that the best driver is already installed. To fix it I simply reinstall the latest driver for my card and all is well again.I have gone through this cycle probably 5 or 6 times making different changes each time to try and solve the issue with no luck.
I have:
- ran the game with dx11 and dx12
- closed all background applications- disabled all game overlays (discord and steam)
- used DDU to do a clean install of drivers
- tried to alt-tab out and back into the game and alt-enter out and into the game upon black screen
It quite literally seems that the game corrupts my driver causing the card to disable and I have to manually fix it each time. I knew AMD drivers were a nightmare but good god.
I would simply like to play my silly little game without it crashing and do not want to accept that it just won't run because it works perfectly fine up until black screen.
Specs:
- B450 Tomahawk mobo
- AMD Ryzen 5 1600 cpu
- AMD Radeon RX 590 gpu- 16GB of 3200Mhz RAM
- 550W psu- 2TB 7200rpm HDD (drive game is stored on)
- 500GB NVMe SSD (boot drive)Any and all help is appreciated

2023.06.06 23:25 bluewaterbandit Door sensors
I had a complete service overhaul and a new Liftmaster 87504-267 installed last September. It was not cheap. Used a very reputable company, paid $2k. Today, randomly, my door sensors are throwing obstruction error codes. I checked the alignment, they are good. Tried to shade them because I've heard of glare issues before, still blinking error.
Then I thought to use the manual release and close the door. Sensors show fine now. Door manually down, sensors fine. Door back up, sensors blinking and throwing error codes. Not only is this repeatable, it's been two and a half hours since this started and it's still the same so it's not the lighting because of time of day.
What could cause this?

2023.06.06 23:24 spoonybends Program to auto-add and remove games from Steam with Art?
SO, looking everywhere to automate this process, I found Steam ROM manager, which does exactly what I want, but only for emulated games. It auto discovers (emulated) games, finds all the various arts for them (and prompts you when when it needs help), and then applies them all to steam, it even adds all the games from certain system into a "Collection" if you want it to. Very handy. However, it doesn't do that for installed games from Epic,Xbox,GoG,EA,Ubisoft,Etc.
I also found a program called steamsync, which is also incredibly handy, but it only adds games from Epic and MStore to steam, without the art. Games from other stores aren't detected at all.
Of course, there is also Bloop which semi-automatically adds art found on SteamGridDB to manually added games (and also regular steam games).
Is there a program which combines the capabilities of all three aforementioned ones? How do y'all do it? Surely there's a better way. Thanks!

2023.06.06 23:06 Strange-Air-6876 Microsoft should consider this about xbox.
I've been using xbox one for about 6 year now and downloading games has always been a pain in the ass because off poor internet connection in my area.
Recently bought game pass for xbox and had some games to download I've got the keep my games up to date so I won't need to manually update them each time but it has a flaw I was downloading forza horizon 5 and went away for 2 days I thought it would auto download but when I came back Microsoft store was on update (installation stopped) and while horizon 5 was on 2 percent download, this happened to me multiple times.
I thought I would be a good idea if the developers added a function to put the downloading games in custom select order that would download one by one without interfering of other games this would solve the need to check every 2 hours on my xbox as it would just waste my 1 month xbox game pass in downloading the games.
So what do you think about this idea and what would you recommend for this problem.

2023.06.06 22:57 BarnacleGoose16 GOGgames updates
Recently I've been using GOGgames to get games and it's been working great so far as its just the offline DRM-free installers provided by GOG themselves, I'm aware GOG also provides manual offline patches but it doesn't seem like GOGgames have these on their website, am I just stupid and are they on the website somewhere or do i need to just reinstall the game when an update comes out and if goggames don't have the patches on their site where could I find the patches?
Thanks in advance for any answers (also I'm talking about

2023.06.06 22:46 FoodMagnet Pump house of horrors - how can I improve it?
| 3rd year pool owner, Pacific NW, 20'x40'-L, vinyl. Only heat is eleven 12'x4' passive solar panels on the pump house roof. Most of the attached I inherited, but guilty for some shady work, pool is open and is wonderful. But it is time for a pump room overhaul, the current issues are: - Plumbing is all 1.5" (should be 2")
- Current multiport valve is cracked, probably 1 drip/hour, never accumulates.
- Very loud cavitation noise coming from the elbows after the multiport, it goes away with added head pressure from the solar. Very noisy when solar not on.
- Solar is manually controlled, prefer it - no need to automate.
- I want to install a 3-way to my vac line so I can use as a jet (or vac depending)
- Head pressure is ~18 with clean filter, I backwash around ~23.
- The manifold takes up valuable walkway (right of the gravel)
- The pump isn't securely fastened, a bunch of other shady plumbing.
The picture illustrates how it exists today. The rest of the pictures show what I am planning. I want to flip the manifold to be inline with the pump. I want to eliminate as many 90 elbows as possible to reduce friction and eliminate possible cavitation. The input pipe to the pump is > 10". The items not easily moved: a. Elect comes up from concrete near the rear wall (in red), hard to move. I will be moving the rest of the electrical and bringing it up to code (its bad right now). b. I do not want to move any of the returns or jets, will bolt pump directly to pad. What would you do different? Current - very noisy cavitation, all 1.5\" Planned 2\", Swap manifold, move sand filter for direct-connect to jet. Note the 3-way vac Waste through the wall. Red Elec box not easily moved. submitted by FoodMagnet to pools [link] [comments] |
2023.06.06 22:44 darkwing2k6 Android Companion App on PC?
Hey chooms.
I've been using the Companion App on my phone and now I want to put it on my PC to integrate in to my sessions but I am struggling to get it working.
I have tried Bluestacks X and Bluestacks 5 but it keeps defaulting on install to update to X. It then fails to start the included App Launcher. It will not install the APK manually.
I then read about the Windows 11 Android Subsystem application. Installed that via Microsoft Store. That installs Amazon Appstore to get the necessary Subsytem install. This then asks to install another Subsystem Android installer. All of these either cannot find the Companion App in the Stores or they fail to install the seperately downloaded APK file.
I'm running Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 32GB Ram, RTX 3080 GPU and "Virtualisation" enabled in BIOS so it should easily meet the hardware requirements.
Would be extremely grateful if anyone could shed some light or point me in the right direction to get this working.

2023.06.06 22:03 edamane12345 Midea U shaped AC goes far below set temperature
I recently installed the unit on my window and everything has been running well. One thing I'm annoyed is how AC gets too cold in the room. I'm using the master bedroom of the house and its quite large. I have the AC set to 79F AUTO but I constantly notice that it gets too cold. I check the thermostat in the room and its at 76F which is a bit too cold for me. I see manual stating that AUTO will switch between COOL and FAN but it looks like it's running COOL most of the time when it doesnt have to?
Has anyone seen this issue before? Is running COOL on low fan better to keep the temp around 79F?

2023.06.06 21:37 HappyPenguin27 Hi all, I'm in need of advice about my dashcam
So I just had a thinkware f200 pro installed in my '23 Chevy Bolt EUV. It worked great for about the first 10 minutes, but since then, nothing but issues.
First of all, after I drove away from the place that installed it and parked, the cam would not come back on. I kept trying to reconnect it the way the installer showed my (via wifi) and it just wouldn't connect. It was like the "my chevy app" kept booting the wifi for the cam. I tried the live view and still got nothing.
I drove back to the installer and he finally got it working. He said something about turning off my phone's bluetooth to get it to work. Is that normal??
On my way home, I was unable to use my handsfree calling and had to repair my phone when I got home.
Now, the dashcam won't connect to the wifi no matter what I try. I tried hitting the manual record button, it said it was recording, but it wasn't and I have no video files.
I'm at a loss and a bit disappointed.
Any suggestions?

2023.06.06 21:31 Emergency-Ad-9311 Removable Solar on Roof Top Tent ( without dual battery install )
So Im trying to figure out my options for potentially adding temporary solar to my rooftop tent.
I have a ICECO fridge that I power with an EcoFlow River 2 Max. It's been working well, I charge the EcoFlow via the 12v in the back of my jeep when the engine is running and the fridge switches over to the EcoFlow when I turn the engine off. I would love to have the option to charge it a little while Im out hiking or at camp and was thinking about adding a thin solar panel to my Roofnest rooftop tent. I leave the tent on my Jeep for about half of the year, but only really would be using the solar 3-4 weeks a year. I would prefer not to install a dual battery system.
From what I can gather it looks like the EcoFlow can handle 11-50V 13A, 220W Max solar input ( without a controller ) . Does this mean that can plug a 100w solar panel ( Im thinking one of the Renogy 100w flexible panels with the adapter ) directly into my EcoFlow without any issues?
If that works is it ok to manually disconnect the solar ( and leave it disconnected ) while Im traveling and the car is powering the EcoFlow + fridge? ( or when im at home and do not need the power ? ) Would it be a fire risk to have an unplugged solar panel on top of my tent / car in the direct sun?
Any thoughts / suggestions / recommendations are welcome. Thanks

2023.06.06 21:30 EFT-HotShot New PC New Problems, please help!
I need your help, my last 2 brain cells are unfortunately no longer enough for this. I put together a new system about 1 month ago: MB: Asus z790-i CPU: 13900KS <- CPU cooler taken over from the previous system. (Heatkiller IV Pro HWLUXX Edition). GPU: 4090 FE <- Heatkiller V Pro RAM: DDR5 2x16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 7600 36-46-46-82 (CMT32GX5M2X7600C36) PSU: Seasonic Prime Platinum 1300W ran perfectly over the weekend, tested some OC, everything worked as I wanted it to. Then I came back from work on Monday and wanted to start the computer, everything started as usual, fans rotate pump pumps everything flashes but I get no picture. What I then checked first: The Watercooling has no leak? Check All cables in, both in the power supply and in all connected devices? Check Both RAM slots checked if everything is seated correctly? Check Removed both RAM sticks and tested them individually? Check CMOS Clear done? Check GPU tested in the other system? Check CPU removed socket and CPU itself examined? Check BIOS updated via flashback? Check Everything with the same result as described above and still no picture... Good, so I sent the motherboard back and ordered an Asus Z790-Apex a little later. In the meantime the Supercoolcomputer Direct-Die cooler arrived, with which I replaced the heatkiller. Board arrived, cleaned everything again, installed, started. Everything starts, but still no picture... This time I have the nice error code display on the board and the 4 Q-LEDs that show me the "error source". Red(CPU) / Yellow(DRAM) / White(VGA) / Green(Boot device) When I start up, red lights up for 0.5 sec and then changes to yellow, permanently. Then the error code display shows me different codes. (00>12>28>4c>0d>Short Pause>0E>34>3E>3A>79>36>35>3C>6E>55>31>7F>00) i looked them up in the manual and none of them "sound" bad all just "initializations" or starting checks. When the last code is displayed "00" the system reboots and everything starts from the beginning. Boot Loop... I have both Corsair sticks also tested individually. If 1 stick is inserted it behaves exactly the same as if both are inserted. If none is in, the board shows reasonable "55" No memory installed. I ordered new RAM (DDR5 2x16GB G.Skill Trident Z5 7200 CL34-34-34-115) F5-7200J3445G16GX2-TZ5RS < this is in the QVL of the board and on the G.Skill website. The Corsair sticks from before did not, so I thought it was a simple compatibility issue from the RAM. Today the new RAM arrived, i installed it. Same scenario as before.... Pc starts > No picture > DRAM LED lights up > The codes from above are displayed > Boot Loop And now I'm sitting here, do not know what to do and ask you for help <3

2023.06.06 21:26 Chooseauniquename9 Did I fuck up? 0xc000225 code after formatting old SSD
So months ago I installed a new bigger SSD, used Macrium Reflect to clone. After installing I removed my old SSD to see if it would boot with just my new SSD, everything worked fine. Popped back the old SSD to eventually format it and use the space for back-ups, it wasn’t listed as a boot option.
So today I decided to format it, first I just deleted some files manually. But I wouldn’t let me delete certain Windows folders (this should have been my warning). So I formatted the SSD via PowerShell/diskpart by using ‘delete override’ for the partitions of the old SSD disk. Everything seemed okay, I ended up with 2 partitions. I was trying to get it to be 1 partition, but it just didn’t work. So I decided to restart my pc. But now I get the error 0xc0000225 for recovery. Only thing I can access is my bios.
How should I proceed? I obviously want te keep my data. How badly did I fuck up? Should my data still be safe on the drive (of most data I have back-ups).
Thanks!
