I am in an interesting situation where I have a save just after dealing with a Tsunami. The warning is still on screen when I load up and the disaster shows in my City info about a minute in to the save.
Following this, without fail, a Tornado (9.7) appears every time. I'm just wondering if I keep reloading and running this tornado, will there be a chance it would be a Chirpnado? Or has the game likely already decided it's a normal one despite the Tsunami not technically being finished when I load in?
I just want to know if it's worth reloading over and over again for this Tornado because I'm going to probably have to do it about 700 times.

Writer's block
The drama in Hollywood is heating up just as there appeared to be a breakthrough for the creative industry. On Sunday, the Directors Guild of America inked a tentative three-year contract with major studios and streamers, though the Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild are still holding out. In fact, the former has been on strike for six weeks, while the latter just authorized a potential strike if an agreement cannot be reached by June 30.
What are the fights about? At issue are wages and benefits, as well as royalty payments like global streaming residuals. Artificial intelligence is also at play, with the unions fighting for protections so that AI won't replace its members. Writers additionally say that tech companies like Netflix (NFLX) are hiring for shorter stints and lower wages, which is hindering the creative process. It comes as many studios absorb heavy losses associated with streaming, making them think twice about their bottom line during the negotiations.
A walkout by the Writers Guild of America has already shut down the final season of Netflix's Stranger Things, an HBO (WBD) prequel of Game of Thrones, and paused production on Disney's (DIS) Thunderbolts and Blade. A strike by actors would trigger a broader shutdown across Hollywood, while ramping up pressure on companies that need to support their streaming services and TV programming schedules. Other studios involved include Amazon (AMZN), Apple (AAPL), NBCUniversal (CMCSA), Paramount (PARA) and Sony (SONY) - under the umbrella of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
What's next? "For now, the studios/streamers aren't in a rush to be flexible because the strike could eventually allow them to shed unprofitable long-term deals," writes SA analyst The Entertainment Oracle, "but that's also a dangerous long-term game." If prolonged, studios could turn to reality or unscripted shows, and internationally produced content, but the financial impacts will eventually catch up. Moody's has warned that an extended strike could hurt the credit ratings of "weakly positioned" media companies, while Paramount CEO Bob Bakish has said that the situation will "ultimately depend on the duration of the strike." The SEC has sued cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its CEO Changpeng Zhao for allegedly violating U.S. securities regulations. The news pushed cryptocurrency prices lower, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) down 3.8% at $25.78K today and ether (ETH-USD) 2.7% lower at $1.82K. Thirteen charges were filed against Binance and CZ, as he is known, including deceiving investors about the sufficiency of its systems to detect and control manipulative trading. The SEC also accused the platform of taking insufficient steps to prohibit U.S. investors from accessing its unregulated exchange. Binance is disputing the allegations, saying it is "disappointed" with the SEC suit and "will vigorously defend" its business. (45 comments)
Manufacturing boost
New plans from General Motors (GM) will see it invest more than $1B in two of its manufacturing sites in Flint Michigan. The investment will bolster the Detroit automaker's U.S. manufacturing operations, which include more than 50 assembly, stamping, propulsion and component plants and parts distribution centers nationwide. It will also highlight the company’s commitment to continue providing customers a strong portfolio of ICE vehicles for years to come. We open with a recap of last week's main event featuring The Jordans (Shelton and Deron "Ron") taking on the Soldiers of Misfortune (General Wade and Guerrilla God). The match was a complete brawl as both teams fought ringside. The match ended with Guerrilla God hitting Guerrilla in the Mist on Shelton, leading to General Wade pinning Shelton. After the match, the Soldiers of Misfortune, along with Ivan Markov assaulted Shelton some more, followed by putting him triple power bombed him through a table as "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones and Brother Julius look on in approval.
The recap ends and we open with a 30-second intro highlighting all of the stars of CPWA as The Roots' "BOOM" plays in the background. The intro ends with Shelton Jordan holding the CPWA Heavyweight Championship belt over his head. Pyro goes off in the arena for a few seconds, followed by cheering from the crowd.

Brian Kinsley: Priscilla Pierce got roughed up last week on Octane and she was none too pleased.

Announcer: And her tag team partner, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she is "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez
Brian Kinsley: "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez also took part on a tour of Puerto Rico with Priscilla Pierce, where they won the Women's Tag Team Championships there.
Anthony Harris: Great news for them, but can they replicate that same success here tonight?
Match 1: Shiori Yoshimura and "The Orange Idol Princess" Aiko Yoshida vs. Priscilla Pierce and "The Dominican She-Devil" Ivy Fernandez
This was not a good opener and it really didn't help that Priscilla Pierce and Ivy Fernandez got the win, considering that Shiori and Aiko were the ones carrying them through the match. Shiori and Aiko had control of the match, but Priscilla and Ivy were off their game, most likely Priscilla, who was still feeling the effects of the Spinning Bison Bomb from last week. Regardless, this was still a bad match with a rushed finish as Priscilla hit Aiko with Beauty and Grace to seal the victory.

We go backstage and we see Kevin Meyers interviewing Rory Irvine. Rory says that he is one step closer to winning the Super Junior Carnival and knows that he has what it takes to one day win the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship. CPWA Cruiserweight Champion Kelly Lawton appears and tells Rory to keep dreaming and that he won't come as close as to winning the belt itself. Rory boasts that he has beaten Kelly and he will be the one to dethrone him for the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship.
In the green room, we see "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones talking with Brother Julius about their strategy for tonight's main event and how it will involve LeJuan's mystery tag team partner. LeJuan says that if everything goes to plan, then he will convince the GM to give him a chance at the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship.
We cut back to the arena.

Brian Kinsley: The last time we saw Miguel Sandoval Jr. was five months ago when he defeated Kenshiro Ishii. Since then, he took time off to train while being around his family.
Anthony Harris: His wife gave birth to their fourth child, so he has two boys and two girls. Hopefully, that will be the inspiration for him to improve tonight.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he is Jake Odenkirk.
Brian Kinsley: Big Jake Odenkirk has been chomping at the bit to try his hand at some singles competition and here he is looking to get a W for his family.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Big Jake looks like a million pounds tonight. That's pounds as in the currency of the United Kingdom.
Match 2: Miguel Sandoval Jr. vs. Jake Odenkirk A very excellent hoss match as both Miguel Sandoval Jr. and Jake Odenkirk tested their strengths against each other. Miguel looked much improved from the last time we saw him, taking time off to not only train, but to also bring another child into his family. That was all the motivation he needed in his match. The end of the match saw Miguel hit Jake with a Military Press Slam, followed by a spear, and a Fall from Grace (South of Heaven), which is named after his newborn daughter, to get the win.

Shelton Jordan says that he needs to speak to GM Ronny Sharpe about who will face him for the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship in the future. Shelton leaves as Elijah, Cedric, and Ron look on.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a quarterfinal match for the CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament.
The O'Reillys and Paddyhats' "Barrels of Whiskey" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Dublin, Ireland, he is Rory Irvine.
Brian Kinsley: Rory Irvine is one step closer to winning the Super Junior Carnival. He's been on quite a roll and doesn't plan on slowing down.
Sir Samuel Stewart: The Commonwealth plans to put a halt to this Cinderella story Rory's got going on, so he needs to watch out for that.

Brian Kinsley: Money Mark has also been on a big run of his own throughout this tournament as well. Last week, he pulled off another upset, this time beating Owen Benoit-Jericho.

Match 3: CPWA Super Junior Carnival Tournament: Semifinal: Rory Irvine vs. Money Mark
This match wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't good either. Both Rory and Money Mark looked like they were just happy to be in the ring. Money Mark had control of the match in the early going, but Rory soon took over the match with dropkicks, arm drags, wristlocks, and chinlocks. During the match, Owen Benoit-Jericho of The Commonwealth made his presence felt as he tried to interfere in the match. Thankfully, Money Mark prevented any problems to occur. Unfortunately, this led to Rory seizing the opportunity with a Celtic Cruificix Drop to get the win. Rory Irvine advances to the Super Junior Carnival Finals, where he will take on "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon or Devon Gatlin-Tyson.

Brian Kinsley: Listen to this ovation for these two young ladies. Crystal and Tracy Hart may not have the CPWA Women's Tag Team Championships, but best believe they will have the belts once again.
Sir Samuel Stewart: I think the roof just came off the building and my hearing is shot after hearing that ovation for the Harts.
Match 4: The Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy) vs. Las Corazones (Rosa and Regina)
The Harts and the Corazones are no strangers to each other in the ring, but on this night, it looks like they were strangers meeting each other for the first time. Aside from the huge pop for the Harts, this match did not get out of first gear. It was a back-and-forth match with some botches, leading to a scrambling finish. Regina Corazon went for a super kick that got countered into a sharpshooter from Crystal Hart. Regina submitted as the Harts won the match.

This one was a knockdown, drag-out brawl all throughout the ring and there were some quick and shocking eliminations: Owen-Benoit Jericho was the first elimination, followed by The Mortician (thanks to interference from Pretty Boy), and later "Marvelous" Marshall Anderson. Ten minutes later, Kahuna Maiavia was eliminated, leaving only Aka-Manto and "Florida Man" Gary Strange. Ultimately, "Florida Man" won the CPWA Television Championship in Canada of all places with a WTF (Welcome To Florida) to reclaim the CPWA Television Championship.

Another solid match to close out the semifinal portion of the Super Junior Carnival Tournament. DGT had control early on in the match, but "The Korean Idol" would make his presence felt with dropkicks, hurricanranas, and even a tornado DDT. As the match progressed, fellow Olympians Chip Day and Miles Orozco rushed down to the ring to help DGT, but "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans, along with StarrVice (Mark Starr and Ricky Vice) evened the odds. The distraction caused DGT to get flustered, allowing "The Korean Idol" to pull off a superkick, followed by a K-Pop Drop to get the win. "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon advances to the Finals of the Super Junior Carnival, where he will face the scrappy, plucky, and resilient Rory Irvine.

An excellent main event that brought the hype after the big reveal of Logan Lemming's return. Keith and Elijah started off the match hot, each one taking turns roughing up "The Number One Pick." When Logan got the tag, he was a house of fire as the crowd cheered uncontrollably. It became a battle of attrition for both teams as they continued trying to outdo each other. Logan hit Keith Yang with Logan's Run, only for Elijah Jordan to plop on him with a Big Ending, pinning him and LeJuan for the win and payback.

Keith and Elijah celebrate as Shelton joins them, but it is short-lived as GM Ronny Sharpe announced that at Deception, Shelton Jordan will defend the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship against Keith Yang, "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones, and Logan Lemming. The reveal leaves everyone shocked as Octane fades to black.

I've always been a bit of a prepper so Covid just ended up right in my wheelhouse but I always tell the story about the early days of the major lockdown. Like my phone blaring with the EAS warning type stuff. Michigan.
I was the only guy driving around in Metro Detroit looking for a gas station that was open one day. Found one and what follows is exactly what I saw at the pump:
Guy pulls up to the pump in a pick-up truck wearing his mask inside his own vehicle. Gets out of his truck and takes his mask off. Goes into the store and a couple minutes later walks out with a Coke. Gets back into his truck, puts his mask back on and drives away. Now just think about that for 2 seconds.
It was seriously stupid. Mix that with people walking their dogs down the middle of the street out in the open air wearing masks because apparently Covid was from what, "aliens from outer space? and well....you saw it, we all saw it.
It taught me so much. Namely that humans are super dumb.
I do consider myself lucky because I just hunkered down for a couple years no problem....even had all the toilet paper I needed. I mean that's sort of the entire point right? The day I went out after lockdowns I didn't "need" gas....I just went for a cruise. Even the cops weren't patrolling AT ALL. It was great. I was listening to NOFX at full blast. How many people can say they drove on the Lodge in the middle of a weekday with not a single other car? Me... that's who.

We got home last night after being on a two and a half week vacation and about an hour before we got home our daughters six month old holland lop suddenly died. The only thing we can think happened was there was two days of tornado warnings about 15 hours apart and my sister in law took all our pets into the interior bathroom as we told her to do. That and potentially thunder from a lot of close lightning might have been just too much stress for her. But we’re pretty wrecked, my daughter especially. We haven’t really made the decision yet about getting another one but I think the breeder may do something for her. Either way, give your buns some extra love tonight.

2023.06.06 01:23 GingoSan0367 I saw a related question, but I want to know something.... (The other answer doesnt answer my exact question, only part of it... anyway)

Basically my town are pretty incompetent with bringing local sirens up when a tornado occurs, it took them 2 hours and 15 minutes to sound sirens after a warning was issued.
My question is: Can I sound a siren of my own in this circumstance? I would keep the siren on hand just for warning people of impending danger.
3 total tornadoes hit me, 1st one isnt even known to NOAA and I clearly saw the funnel and the tornado formed right over my house, then touched down after getting across the street, no sirens..... 2 hours later, twins touched down just outside of town, and it took 15 MINUTES to sound the sirens.

Flying solo to attend e forest
I’m from so cal and usually attend events in la/sf.
I’m on the trans spectrum and like to dress up at raves pretty sexy/slutty but I think cute
I went to edco last year and it was an ok experience. Had a fair amount of people basically come out to me to talk to me about their kids being gay or they sharing a comment about how they were excited to see a person like me there, unshy. I have a friend in Michigan who is basically warning me about the way I dress and to butch it up while there but am thinking e forest is a safe space(?) I’m taking the shuttle there so won’t be like playing tourist in the area…
Do you guys think there is any like danger for solo trans people at e forest? Highly doubt it but thought I would ask..

I have a unique situation. A few years ago at the age of 30 I met my biological father. I moved across country from Michigan to Arizona to help him with his business and lived on the same property as him. Everything was going really good for about a year and a half until I started noticing someone was coming in my house and I started to put things together. I didn’t know anything about crafting or black magic or cults or anything like that before this but I came into my house one day and noticed the grate at the bottom of my fridge wasn’t on properly so when I went to put it on the right way and it fell off completely I noticed there was a thick layer of dust but there was very fresh drawings and markings written in the dust. I asked a friend if it was Mexican gang shit not knowing what was going on lol he immediately told me it was black magic and said someone was messing with my food. Its a really story to have to text but I’ll list some other things that happened and I’d like to know if anyone has any insight . I’ve done a lot of research since then and still can’t figure out what the intentions were. So for starters it was a little town about 30 minutes from the Mexican border south of Tucson . My “dad” had several people my age working for him and I believe now they were all in on whatever they were doing to me. At first I thought he wasn’t a part of it and his workers just wanted me gone but I’ll explain why I know he was definitely in on it. Some of the things I noticed are
-They used a wood burner tool or engraved symbols and faces and letters into basically everything wood in my house and around the property like on wood posts and stuff. The letters would be large and stand out by theirselves it would be L,B, and I think R. - would make a almost evil smiley face and I would take my pants off at night and lay them in my bed and noticed the face on my ass in gel pen. They were putting it on my chairs. - switched a black and white candle with one of their own. -the wiring under my fridge was in Arabic or reverse Arabic so I think -under my front porch I found a canoe made out of a large dead frog body. It looked like it was to resemble a boat at least -also under porch found a cutout or some type of homemade rabbit made out of plastic or paper and it had half of one of those plastic Easter eggs in its mouth like a rabbit eating it’s own child or egg or whatever . -dead cat in my car - dead cat in my house - I always slept on my couch but on my bed I noticed a very thin layer of candle wax had been poured on every crease in the mattress . If you look at a mattress you’ll know that had to take a lot of time and effort. -my dad insisted we didn’t need tack strips when we laid the carpet in the trailer and in the room I later found a blue steel razor blade and next to it the word MAD in pen or marker. -the only friend that kept assuring me I wasn’t crazy had a nice 2020 truck and text me one day and said there was blood all over his back seat . I doubt he did that to his nice truck . It looked like a murder scene and when I saw it I noticed the same markings and faces on the car seat and doors . Looked like it was with a pencil eraser . - there was a panel loose in my jeep by my left foot where a hood release is . I pulled it back a little and saw something . When I loosened the panel even more it was a Lego figure and his head rolled off . I know I didn’t put that there lol. - different color dirt than usual and pebbles under carpet in front of door and rubbed all over my jeep tire. Probably cemetery dirt I think .
There’s more but you get the picture. So also in my Jeep I had a tool box and in every drawer there was 6 small twigs in the shape of a U or 6 pieces of plants or flowers. On the outside the drew a few things but one was a stick figure being attacked by wolves . When I came back to Michigan I was attacked by two dogs and had to get 69 stitches . The wound and scar is in the shape of a weird smiley face.
I refused to drive the Jeep and had a rental car and some how fell asleep and was in a head on collision with a family of 5 . Everyone was okay some how. I was going 60 and didn’t have a seatbelt on . Woke up in the passenger seat and the door just opened up for me to get out. Not knowing anyone else I called father of the year to come get me. When we got in his truck he said oh if you were in your Jeep you would have died for sure.
We get back to the house and he wanted me to stay there instead of sleeping at my place next door. He had a 80 inch tv that was turned off so it was basically like a mirror. I’m watching him and his gf lay a mattress on the floor and putting sheets and blankets on it then I see his gf pull something out of a clothes hamper . I can’t even make this shit up . I saw a 2 foot doll wearing one of my shirts. And had strews all over the head . Attached to the screws was some type of string to resemble hair with ties or bows half way down the length . I know they were screws because he twisted a couple of them . Then he put it in a type of dresser thing with a glass door and rolled a rolling closet with clothes in front of it . I could have shit my pants . That was the last time I was there. I immediately told him I had to get my son something from Walmart and needed to go now so I can send it first thing in the morning. He took me to Walmart and I ordered a Uber . He was right next to me and wouldn’t leave my side so I made up the only thing I thought of and said I think his phone was making me sick , something about electronics and said give me 5 feet and walked outside. I get in the Uber and he almost didn’t see me but came up to the car hands cupped around his eyes looking in the windows and saw me. He told the driver I was mentally unstable, on drugs and if he left with me he’s calling the cops. I told the guy I just met this man that’s my dad,showed him my license and explained I ordered the ride I offered him more money and asked him to please go. He said he didn’t want any trouble and cancelled the ride. So now I’m outside of Walmart with the crazy person I call dad and he’s like wtf man you’re just gonna bail on me lol. So I just told him I saw the voodoo doll. He started going nuts denying it and making a huge scene. He never did admit it but he said whatever I think he was doing he was trying to help me. I called the kid Colton they had the blood in his truck and he came and got me.
After 4 years I still don’t know exactly what was going on. If anyone knows what might have been going on I’d like some opinions. Do you think they were trying to sacrifice me or initiate me or what?
One of his workers did drop hints or warnings when I would bing stuff up. He told me “your dad doesn’t work me alit around Christmas time” I was like uh ok and said yeah it’s orders from higher up . Then told me there was like 5 or 6 satanic cults right around there. I’ve came to find out he was telling the truth more than likely.

These are summaries of what games/events happened in-between chapters 5 and 6. To explain the timeline and make sure you're all on the same page.
11 AS:

Sonic CD:
After freeing Stardust Speedway and defeating Metal Sonic 1.0, Sonic heads to Robotnik’s base, Metallic Madness, in order to grab the last Time Stone, defeat the mad doctor, and free Little Planet from it’s shackles. And despite putting up a good fight with his mech modeled after himself, Robotnik is unable to secure his future, and retreats.
Now possessing all the Time Stones, Sonic proceeds to use their power to restore Little Planet to normal, which also sends him and Amy Rose back to Neverlake on Earth. Together, the two watch the small planetoid disappear into the sky, while also leaving behind sparks that shape into Sonic’s face, as if the planet itself was thanking him for his efforts.
So, with a job well done, Sonic reluctantly goes on a date with Amy, which was pretty fun, but the blue blur still wasn’t interested in being her boyfriend. And after saying farewell to Ms. Rose for the time being, Sonic set off for another adventure…

12 AS:
Using his Tornado plane, Sonic arrives at Westside Island, where he meets Miles “Tails” Prower. The young fox greatly admires the blue blur, and the two become good pals in no time…

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (8-Bit):
While exploring Westside Island, Sonic comes back to the main village, and finds that many animals have been captured by Robotnik’s Badniks and machines. So, he jumps into action and saves as many of them as he can. However, Tails is nowhere to be seen, which worries the blue blur greatly. That’s when he sees a note left behind and written by Robotnik.
In the note, Robotnik states that after arriving here a few days ago and observing Sonic interacting with Tails, he decided to kidnap the two-tailed fox and use him as a hostage for his “new” plan. Force the blue blur to collect the Chaos Emeralds for him, or he’ll never see the young fox boy ever again.
Despite being angry about his best friend getting kidnapped, and worried for his safety, Sonic tries to calm down, and decides to do as Robotnik asks for now. So, he explores 5 zones on the island, before arriving at the doctor’s base, Scrambled Egg Zone. There, he fights against Silver Sonic, who’s much less advanced than Metal Sonic, due to having a lot less development time.
Regardless, Sonic destroys the flimsy robo knockoff, which had the last Chaos Emerald he needed. And with all 7 in his possession, the blue blur is able to get to Robotnik’s TRUE base, Crystal Egg Zone. Then, after a heated confrontation against the doctor, Sonic manages to save Tails, the Chaos Emeralds scatter, and Robotnik retreats for now…

Sonic Chaos:
Having managed to get his hands on the red Chaos Emerald, Robotnik uses it’s power to develop more powerful weapons and machines in his quest for world domination. Then, he decides to use them on Sonic and Tails, who are currently exploring the world together after leaving Westside Island.
Sonic and Tails are able to survive the doctor’s attack, along with saving many of the animals and people caught in the crossfire, but much of their surrounding environment was in ruin. So, determined to stop Robotnik from causing anymore destruction, the heroic duo set off to stop him, traversing 5 zones before arriving at the doctor’s Electric Egg base.
Despite the trouble, the two heroes are able to stop Robotnik, take the red Chaos Emerald, destroy all the weapons and machines powered by it, and set the base to self-destruct. So, with the day saved again, Sonic and Tails set off, while Robotnik takes his leave as well…

Sonic Spinball:
With the data he got from the red Chaos Emerald beforehand, Robotnik manages to create many duplicate blue emeralds that aren’t as powerful, but still possess tons of energy. And with these fake emeralds, the doctor takes over an unstable volcano that produces a lot of energy via it’s hot magma, making a base called the Veg-O-Fortress.
Using the power of the magma, and the fake Chaos Emeralds keeping the volcano stable, Robotnik is able to turn helpless animals into Badniks at a much faster rate. It doesn’t take long for Sonic and Tails to learn about the doctor’s new plan, and with the Tornado, the two mount an aerial assault.
However, the base’s defenses were much greater than they expected, and Sonic has to jump off of the Tornado, having to go into the fortress on his own and take the fake emeralds out in order to make the volcano erupt, which will destroy the fortress. But Robotnik has set up a “Pinball Defense Mechanism” to make sure the gems don’t go anywhere.
Hence, Sonic traverses the 3 areas of the fortress spinball-style, freeing all the animals and taking many of the fake Chaos Emeralds out. Which leads to Robotnik fleeing the crumbling fortress in a rocket ship with the last 5 fake emeralds, and the blue blur in hot pursuit. Then, after a tough showdown with the doctor, Sonic succeeds in taking out the last of the fake emeralds, destroying the rocket ship, and stopping Robotnik.
This leads to the two adversaries falling from the sky, but Tails swoops in with the Tornado to rescue Sonic, while Robotnik falls into the ocean with some floaties, angry at his defeat and having to call in his Egg Mobile to pick him up and retreat…

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (16-Bit):
Using the mechanization of Little Planet as a basis, Robotnik has finally finished his orbital space station, the Death Egg, and launches it into space. With it, the doctor has tons of resources for his different projects, and can produce tons of Badniks and machines at a fast rate. That way, he can take over Earth with not much issue.
However, Robotnik still wants to acquire the Chaos Emeralds, so that he can power up the Death Egg’s laser cannons, which are located on it’s eyes. That way, the doctor can wipe entire continents and any opposition off the face of the planet. So, he sets off to find the gemstones, which leads him back to Westside Island.
As for Sonic and Tails, the two return to the latter’s home island as well, only to find a bunch of Robotnik’s machines and Badniks taking over different regions. Hence, the heroic duo do their thing, and traverse many zones while clashing with the doctor many times, destroying his creations, and collecting the Chaos Emeralds again.
Eventually, the two heroes reach Robotnik’s new base, Metropolis Zone, and after fighting him again, he retreats to his Wing Fortress. This leads to Sonic and Tails taking the Tornado to chase after him in the sky. But once they get there, the Tornado is shot down, while the blue blur has to traverse the battleship on his own.
Then, after fighting again in the control room, Robotnik leaves the Wing Fortress in his spaceship, heading straight for the Death Egg, while Sonic hangs onto one of it’s wings for dear life. Once they arrive at the orbital space station, the doctor heads off, and the hedgehog chases after him again.
This leads to Sonic fighting against another robot based off of him: Robo Sonic. More advanced than Silver Sonic, but still nowhere near Metal Sonic 1.0’s level. Regardless, the machine is quite durable and powerful, but isn’t very quick or agile. So, the blue blur manages to destroy it without too much trouble.
But once Sonic’s able to reach Robotnik, he finds that the madman is piloting a giant mecha that resembles him. The Death Egg Robot. And after one last, tough battle, the hedgehog comes out on top. However, due to the damage from the confrontation, the Death Egg starts to malfunction and fall down to the planet, leading to Sonic escaping with the Chaos Emeralds.
As he falls from the sky, Sonic is saved by Tails in the fixed Tornado, leading to the two of them heading to Westside Island after a job well-done. Though, they don’t know where Robotnik is, and if the Death Egg has been destroyed for good…

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles (Sonic & Tails):
As the Death Egg falls down, it unexpectedly crashes into something. A floating island in the sky, known as Angel Island. The impact shakes the whole island, and pushes it down into the ocean below, creating a big tsunami. Once having gotten his bearings, Robotnik leaves the Death Egg and explores his surroundings.
That’s when the doctor picks up a strange, but powerful signal from a singular Chaos Emerald, which confuses him. But with this power source, Robotnik can re-launch the Death Egg, so he doesn’t pay it much mind, and gets started on building a base of operations for repairs, while also taking the local wildlife to power his Badniks.
Though, after some time passes, Robotnik is confronted by someone he didn’t expect to come across. A red Echidna named Knuckles, who is the sole protector of Angel Island and everything on it. Immediately, the guardian questions who the doctor is, and where that “giant dragon egg” came from.
Thinking this could be a great opportunity to learn more about the island’s secrets, and keep Sonic and Tails out of his mustache hair for a bit, Robotnik quickly comes up with a lie. That he’s a kind scientist who built the Death Egg to stop those two from misusing the Chaos Emeralds, but failed and almost lost his life to them.
Having not interacted with anyone in a long time, and being quite gullible, Knuckles believes Robotnik’s lies, and decides to help him stop Sonic and Tails, while also providing some resources to fix the Death Egg, and sharing a few of the island’s secrets. However, the Echidna makes it clear that he wants the doctor and his space station to leave once this ordeal is over, and to never come back.
Meanwhile, sometime after the tsunami, Sonic finds a strange stone ring drifting along the shore of a beach he was relaxing at, which had ancient text about the legend of Angel Island and it’s people. Curious, he brings it up to Tails, who has picked up a strong Chaos Emerald signal on his jewel radar.
Interested in learning what’s going on, Sonic and Tails set off on the Tornado towards Angel Island, with the Chaos Emeralds still in their possession. But once they step foot on the continent, Knuckles comes in and cheap-shots the hedgehog and fox, before taking the gemstones, warning them to get off his island, and leaves.
Surprised and angry at how this Echidna just stole the emeralds from them, Sonic and Tails explore a few regions of Angel Island, while running into Robotnik and Knuckles a few times along the way. And soon enough, the two heroes arrive at the Launch Base, where the nearly rebuilt Death Egg takes off.
Sonic manages to reach a platform attached to the bottom of the orbital space station, where he faces Robotnik in two different machines. During the battle, the many structures supporting the Death Egg start to break down from the damage, and once Sonic wins, the space station starts to fall back down onto Angel Island, with Robotnik fleeing.
After this, Sonic and Tails land in Mushroom Valley, and the Death Egg lands face-first into the island’s volcano. So, with their quest remaining unfinished, the two heroes continue to travel across the different regions of Angel Island, and continue to clash with Robotnik and Knuckles throughout.
Eventually, the heroic duo arrive at the Hidden Palace within the volcano, where the Death Egg is. However, Knuckles shows up again, and engages Sonic in a one-on-one fight, where the two prove to be evenly matched. But before either side can prove victorious, they’re interrupted by Robotnik stealing a massive green gemstone. The Master Emerald, which keeps the island in the sky, and possesses more power than the 7 Chaos Emeralds.
Angered at being tricked, and seeing the massive gemstone getting stolen, Knuckles attempts to stop Robotnik from taking it. Only to get electrocuted, and unable to fight at peak efficiency. Now realizing his mistake, and desperate for their help, the Echidna hands the Chaos Emeralds to Sonic and Tails, and leads them to Sky Sanctuary.
Once they arrive there, the three of them see the Death Egg successfully launching back into space. So, Sonic gives chase, while Tails takes Knuckles back to Angel Island, and gets the Tornado ready. And as the hedgehog traverses the sky-bound ruins, he faces many Egg Robo Badniks, and a new Sonic robot: Mecha Sonic.
This one is much more advanced and powerful, but still doesn’t compare to Metal Sonic 1.0, and after a few fights, Sonic defeats this mechanical imposter, while also successfully getting onboard the Death Egg. Eventually, after traversing through more of the orbital space station than last time, the blue blur faces Robotnik again.
Using a Giant Robotnik Robo powered by the Master Emerald, the doctor takes on Sonic in space, but is unsuccessful in defeating him. But before the hedgehog can take back the massive gemstone, the damage from the battle causes the Death Egg to start exploding, allowing Robotnik to escape with it.
With no way of escape, Sonic isn’t sure what to do. However, he then remembers a mural he saw back in Hidden Palace, showing a blue figure in a golden aura fighting a strange being with a mustache. While not certain about what it means, the blue blur thinks he could use the Chaos Emeralds power to give himself a boost.
So, focusing as hard as he can, and thinking about what’s at risk if he fails, Sonic is able to tap into the true power of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, making him transform into Super Sonic for the first time. Amazed at this power, the now yellow, sparkly blur chases after Robotnik in space, while the Death Egg explodes into a million pieces.
Traversing through an asteroid field in his Final Weapon, with the Master Emerald in his possession, Robotnik is shocked to see Super Sonic coming for him, and angered that this hedgehog just won’t leave him alone. But despite everything he does to stop him, the power of the Chaos Emeralds is too great for the doctor to overcome.
Hence, after destroying Robotnik’s machine and sending him down to the planet below, Super Sonic takes the Master Emerald back to Angel Island, where he meets up with Knuckles and Tails, who are amazed to see this power. Once he lands, the hedgehog returns to normal and the Chaos Emeralds scatter, leaving him a little worn out, but mostly fine.
Having gotten the Master Emerald back, Knuckles thanks Sonic and Tails for their help, and the three of them say their farewells for now. So, as the Echidna places the massive gemstone back into it’s altar in Hidden Palace, raising Angel Island into the sky once more, the hedgehog and fox take off on the Tornado, happy to have saved the day once again…

2023.06.04 18:38 Damaislay My XR died after 8.6 miles.

Took my XR to the coolest bike trails in my area. I haven’t been there in 2 years besides 1 time a week prior, and they added another loop, a “black diamond” loop. It’s 3 miles of cool semi chill single track to get from the parking lot to where you get in this loop, last time I skipped it because I didn’t know it how to get to it, there are confusing trail signs and 2 way sections that lead you to 1 way sections, anyways I rode the new loop, fucking sick, makes me want to buy a new mountain bike, it’s seriously the nicest loop in at least the tri city area I’m from, top notch legit MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to put this 5mile looo in. Anyway just as I finish the loop I hear my phone. It’s the 10%. Battery warning and I’m now almost 10 miles from the parking lot… I had to carry the 50lbs board for 8 miles up and down hills on a 90 degree Michigan day, in a bike park that is named Mosquito Creek! For a damn good reason, there’s a Billion mosquitos! Went from most fun ever to worst hell I could imagine, I didn’t take one break n walked as fast as I could and still was eaten alive… I get that I was on a more technical terrain, but should this take 9-10 miles off my normal battery life ???

2023.06.04 18:15 g0stsec Odd Request: Headset with little to NO noise cancelling?

I have the arctis 7 P+ and they are really great. My only problem is, the over the ear and noise cancellation basically makes it so I can't hear things going on in my house. The immersion is nice but I wish there were a way to not have the headphones actively block me from hearing anything else.
Example, we recently had a really bad storm that triggered tornado warnings (sirens) and quarter size hail that hit my roof and car so badly our insurance is paying for a new roof. I heard none of it... My wife and kid had to come let me know it was happening.
Are there ear bud options or less noise cancell'y over ear headsets that are still good enough to hear, for example, footsteps in FPS games when I need to?
