 | Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at creating my own build (I’ve played Frost Blades, Summon Raging Spirits, and Holy Relic in the past). I was hoping to get some feedback about any mistakes/blind spots on how to improve this build. submitted by Triniculo to PathOfExileBuilds [link] [comments] I used a random number generator to pick a skill plus 2 support gems (Blade Vortex + Added Chaos Damage + Void Manipulation), and built around that. Before I had Empower, I was running Increased Duration. I don’t miss it as much as I thought I would. The amulet looks like it can be anointed, but it’s actually corrupted and mirrored, so it can’t. Also, there must be a way for me to get rid of that mana potion, but I can’t figure it out. I am currently running expedition, beasts and abyss on my tree. Pros: The double obliteration is a blast in maps, especially doing expedition. I can run logbooks pretty well, except for the bosses. A lot of red beasts summon adds, which is great obliteration fodder. Cons: Bosses can be pretty rough. Doing 10 way Maven is not fun. I do have 2x Divinariuses now that should help to swap in. The Chaos golem dies pretty often, it might just be useless? Speaking of gems, I feel like my selection is pretty sub-par, but I have no idea how to improve them. I misunderstood how difficult it would be to get a decent tree on a unique item. On the plus side there is only one unique imbued wand, so my plan is to get a good imbued wand tree and start the Chance orb madness. That small cluster jewel is the only way I could figure out how to run both Grace and zealotry. I’m guessing there’s a smarter way to do it though, that costs less passive points. |

So I was just rewatching this episode. And I think I have a rather Novel , and clever solution to this problem.
We know we have a collision issue … and as the crew keeps repeating the time loop they have more and more information to go on.
So we want to “play” with variables. Problem is we dont know if “making a decision leads to A or B” so lets not make it a human decision… lets exploit math.
But what is crucial is regardless, we know that in the original time line , we wouldnt be having these experiences.
Therefore , in each subsequent repeat our very conversations and movements throughout the ship … are slightly different.
These motions and movements would displace air…. And would be different as each new iteration takes different actions, however slight.. How can we take advantage of this??
Well by exploiting chaos theory and creating a random number generator, that operates off an initial seed number based on very sensitive measurements of atmospheric pressure waves AT that time …. If your flow / pressure sensor is sensitive enough, a person …dealing cards and NOT dealing cards …. Could be detected .. and the difference would be a new seed number from which the random number generator provides a different output than before..
And use that random generated number, to offset the ships initial vector AND its “position” upon approach to the anomaly.
You only need to play around with a few meters to avoid the collision ….
Eventually , as the repeat loops keep changing how people act and move … and the pressure sensor gives different initial seed values each time…
You will end up using the randomization itself to eventually NOT encounter the collision. Regardless of how many loops it takes …
It will eventually happen. And there is no need for ridiculous “i saw the number three”
Which “is” one way to do it.
I say this because we already use this. Our best random number generators, start with a seed number. That attempts to randomize off an algorithim but the initial seed number is generated off the atmospheric fluctuations at the time of the request ….
Its as close to random as possible… because nothing programmed can be totally random. Its always predictable.

My father died at the age of 72. I had just turned 30 - my parents were in their mid-forties when I was born, no small feat for the late sixties.
Dad was healthy and active, and had the blood pressure and cholesterol of a 25-year-old. He was a WWII vet who enlisted in the Navy illegally at sixteen, retiring from the service at 39 as a Chief Boatswain's Mate. He only went to the 8th grade (though my mom helped him get his GED back in the fifties), but he was the wisest, smartest man I knew.
He was killed in a freak car accident. He was leaving his home one summer morning in 1999, and he had to turn left onto the highway. Looking to the east towards the sunrise, the highway has several bumps and dips, which is probably why he didn't see the massive Ford F-350 bearing down on his '92 Chevy S-10.
The best we can figure, Dad spotted the Ford and gunned his engine to get across the highway, and the driver of the Ford tried to go in front of him, crossing the highway into the opposing lane. He ended up t-boning my dad's rig at at least 50 MPH directly in the driver's side door. His little truck was knocked close to 100 yards into a field.
The tough old SOB had his aorta literally severed among other catastrophic injuries, but still managed to live another six hours before finally giving up the ghost after he surgery.
My first words when my brother told me how he'd died were "that's impossible. Superman can't die on a car wreck." But he did.
See, Dad and I would typically talk about once a week. After the death of my mother, he remarried and moved across the country to where he'd grown up, and I later moved to another state myself. It would typically be Sunday mornings, and we'd chat for twenty minutes or a half hour about whatever was going on in the world - movies we'd seen, how his beloved Dodgers were doing, that sort of thing.
However, the week before he died, he called me three different times, all at distinctly odd hours. I was on the west coast and he was in the eastern time zone, meaning there was a three -hour time difference, yet these calls from him came after 8PM my time - well past the bedtime of a septuagenarian, active and healthy or not.
In each call, he only spoke for a couple minutes, dispensing with the regular pleasantries to deliver the same message:
Son, I just want to you know I love you, I miss you and I'm proud of you.
That was it. The same message, three times. I love you, I miss you, and I'm proud of you.
He was not one of those men who was reticent about sharing his feelings, and he'd often told me and my brothers the same thing, but the timing and nature was so out of character. These talks, unlike our typical ones, lasted just a couple of minutes. And of course there was the late hour of the calls.

I've participated in the Set 7 Jade Cup and the recent Mecha cup, and although I'm not the best player in NA by any stretch of the imagination, i've been playing a good amount of pbe and have what I think is a good read on the meta, so I decided to take a crack on a comps guide/list to show players the basics if they are getting lost trying to figure out the new set. This will cover most of the relatively standard/basic comps that you will encounter game to game, so if i miss a comp here its because it's not consistently played, or in some cases i just simply don't have enough info to give a good read on how to play it. Last two units are open slots, can be whatever you need/hit. 4 Deadeye is fine but not required, you can even just run 3 deadeye and duo urgot with one other good unit like sion or ahri or something. 4 Freljord goes REALLY hard here. Tank items on Sej/Shen, whichever you can hit first generally, although i think sejuani use them a bit better if you have to pick because her ability scales with being alive the most. You want actual tank items in this comp, items like spark or sunfire don't really do anything, you can just put morello on lissandra for anti heal. AZIR FLEX https://preview.redd.it/c8i99y9av24b1.png?width=1013&format=png&auto=webp&s=d20dc162f6fcd20e022c54e5a7000cac25d43511 Azir is in my opinion the most flexible and dizzying carry to play around this set, and frankly can be a good end game even with none of his traits activated! If i were to list all of the potential azir variants i'd be writing a picture book, but if you want to look for the most "mid-roll, nothing special, no plus 1, no items, final destination only" azir core, the closest i can think of is this. Your shurima plus 1 can be way too many units depending on what you hit/ what is on your board currently, though i think unless you hit ksante/nasus 2 with items you never want to try for 5 shurima (and even then i think it's a bait in most games). Guinsoos is almost required on azir, although unlike aphelios who i think just straight up requires the item, azir can get away with not having it as much, especially if you have zekes and kewkone, which is ABSURDLY good in this comp because of how well azir uses both stats. Tank items go on jarvan generally, although really your frontline is what you hit. 7 SHURIMA AZIR https://preview.redd.it/938m5bdnc34b1.png?width=987&format=png&auto=webp&s=054247e2856343708b0228956114316704725181 Not really playable without plus 1, very strong with. Can shurima spat aatrox or jarvan. You want to prio0 good items for Nasus more than normal in this version because he is actually your main secondary carry. Blue buff is really op on ksante, you want to focus on positioning him to kick the target you want before every round. Unsure how good 9 Shurima is, probably worth if you can hit. SHADOW ISLES SLAYERS GWEN https://preview.redd.it/14xlb9whx24b1.png?width=1018&format=png&auto=webp&s=6869ace5a4e93eccf0328ab2d78da2ccd068500a Gwen is also actually pretty flexible like azir, and can even be used as a secondary carry with no traits (although she very much appreciates shadow isles being active). Again, the amount of variants here would make a picture book but this is i think the most "standard" level 8 you want to go for. Slayer plus 1 is VERY good and realistically, you want to play as many slayers as you can without griefing your frontline, as the jump from 3 to 4 is very good (in this variant im playing 3 for now but honestly you could easily argue to drop any number of units for 4 slayer, or another carry if you have items for them, as long as your frontltine is still decent). Gwen items are pretty flexible, though i think titans is her best stand-alone item. Generally i go for titans healing plus 1, but you can go for a lot of mixture of ap bruiser itemization, including qss, spark, or even warmogs if you have another source of damage (Shadow Isles hp shield scales off of max hp!). Spark Guardbreaker gunblade is another really good build i for a decent amount. Can cap with full 5 cost board quite easily, and in fact the main strategy i think you should employ is to abuse the mid game spike of vertical slayer to go 9 and play legendaries. This board above is just a good level 8 end if you can't get there. VOID KAISA https://preview.redd.it/0qiqfqsyz24b1.png?width=1010&format=png&auto=webp&s=c111f70651cb7c3e5a312a81782905ed34958a6c Caps pretty low unless you get void plus 1, so ideally without 8 void you use this to go 9 and play legendaries rather than end this. 8 void is 100% a correct end unless you can hit basically every 2 star 5 cost in the game (the baron hurts man). Kaisa items can be almost anything frankly, this is just my personal faviorite build. Guinsoos is pretty mediocre on her, don't get baited into thinking you need it. I personally like playing for the old school "i win the fight off of second cast" kaisa build. THIS BOARD IS SO UNBELIEVABLY BROKEN WITH ALL NATURAL, HONESTLY MIGHT BE A HARDFORCE SEND IT AT 7 TO HIT ANGLE. DEMACIA LUX (NOTE: This is made with the assumption that Kayle 2 will not be a 4.5 cost going into live) Lux is also actually surprisingly flexible, and i've even sometimes just used her as a secondary carry with no traits when i've had random ap items and i can randomly fit in Demacia, she does a surprising amount of damage just flying solo. This is on average the core though, can play a bunch of different things in the other slots. Can also drop 4 demacia for better units if you can, although i think the radiant item on lux and jarven is generally very worth it. Lux items honestly don't matter (though i really like the utility of gunblade healing your frontline), just throw good items on her and it's probably fine, i actually would prioritize good tank items for jarven so the dude can just chain cast and end the enemy backlines whole career. Kewkone and zekes is also decent in this comp though it can be awkward with positioning, and lux does not use the zekes as well (although sona does, so there are some instances where you can actually just primary carry azir and use lux as a kewkone bot with a radiant item and just use demacia as a frontline for him). 9 DEMACIA IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY GOOD, UNLESS RIOT SUPER BUTCHERS THIS IM VERY SURE ITS A THING YOU ALWAYS GO FOR IF YOU CAN. Demacia spat is super valuable regardless just because you get to have a radiant item and big stats on a strong primary carry you have items for. 4-6 CHALLENGER YASUO/KAISA https://preview.redd.it/ybr630sm334b1.png?width=1015&format=png&auto=webp&s=1a1d09f42387fbb2e2ddfb1507dff368930d3675 Can play 6 challenger for tempo, though unless you have plus 1 i wouldnt stick with it very long past level 7 unless you can go fast 9. With plus 1 6 challenger is VERY good unless you cap with legendaries, especially if you are going yasuo primary. Can play 6 ionia with plus 1, but ONLY with plus 1 including ahri, preferably ionia spat kaisa (even then its not that great and you should ditch it pretty fast at 9, maybe will change when live hits). Yasuo REALLY needs at least one of both DB/IE and QSS/EON to be a viable primary carry. Last item can be a ton of things, damage, healing, defensive etc. Tank items on shen. Don't be afraid to play a random soraka on this board, targon kind of goes hard, i've even had games where i just end 3 targon and it's correct, your yasuo can go infinite. Can drop irelia and ww for better units when you can (although yasuo likes 4 challenger a lot in my opinion, so be careful when you do so if you are carrying him). If its bad dont be afraid to go 3/4 gunner and play a good fronltine units, or if you hit sion, you can actually just play sion/sej/ekko fronltine, ekko actually uses the non backline chem mods quite well. 6 Piltover is a giga first. DO NOT SELL THE T-HEX UNLESS YOU ARE GOING FOR THE TUBER LEVELS OF RICH, THAT DINOSAUR IS KINDA GOOD AND THE WHOLE GOAL OF THIS BOARD IS TO MAKE YOUR DINO GIGA HUGE. The dark tech is going for triple self repair upgrades on heimer, that turret is infinite frontline. Board is insanely stable on 8 as it's own, going for urgot 3 instead of going 9 can be pretty worth with a good chem mod for him, as generally he won't be very contested. I think doing that on average is better than leveling for ryze 2 unless you also can easily drop jinx/ekko. Duo carry urgot is a goal late game game, tanks on sej, or sion 2/yolo ekko 3 with good chem mod. Doesnt need any op augments, doesnt need any specific item combos, doesnt really need any 3 stars other than viego (although maokai can be nice if you hit). Especially if the exp changes stay on live, going w/l is super punishing early game, so if you feel like your opener isnt going to generate a streak, its often better to look for boards like this to play rather than hope your econ won't get griefed for little gain. Can cap with gwen 2 items, and/or can roll at 7 for 3 star rogues if possible. 6 Shadow Isles is VERY STRONG, you want to play that as much as possible. Guinsoos is actually also good on jhin, though i dont think its a requirement by any means. Ie is arguably better than DB in Jhin, not sure if it's solved yet. I've seen some players go Guinsoo BT IE jhin and pop off, I'm pretty sure his items are surprisingly flexible. If going galio 3 version can replace sejuani for taric if you dont have shiv or spark. If going Soraka variant im like 99.9% sure you need archangels or it sucks. COMPS THAT I KNOW ARE AT LEAST DECENT BUT DONT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE WITH/INFORMATION TO MAKE A GUIDE ON THEM Samira Reroll is definately viable, i've seen it work quite a few times, i think you really need blue buff/ie though. Non viego rogue reroll is super first or eighth from what i've seen, you either hit your 3 stars, get great items, great augments and hit a giga first, or you don't and you are dead at stage 4. I don't think i've ever seen this comp just mid roll into a 4th, but i could be wrong, maybe someone figures out a way to make it consistent. Jugg emblem on kat is good, although i think she also really wants raw ap/burst as well. Players with zed 3 items seem to do well, think that might be the most consistent variant than kat but don't quote me on that. There is a kayle/yordles comp that is good but I don't know what Riot is going to do to kayle pre live so I'd hold me thoughts for then before commenting on it. Swain is REALLY op with his augment "Demonflare", but I'm not sure he's playable without it. I've seen 6 Juggernaut nasus primary carry work well before, pretty sure it's a tech, but not remotely enough info to comment on obviously. POTENTIAL DARK TECHS I've seen some taliyah reroll comps just randomly be utterly broken. I'm pretty sure this unit is hidden op. Similar with Sona 3 carry boards, though it's a bit less on the "dark" end. Darius 3 carry is actually not that bad, but you do have to high roll ungodly hard for it to be good. If/when riot buffs Noxus it might be a thing to look out for. Garen carry i think is actually good, it's just hard to play for when there are like 2-3 kayle 2 vertical demacia forcers every game, plus maybe a regular lux player. That's about all i have! Obviously this doesnt cover everything, or even every comp hopefully it's a useful starter guide to entering pbe for those who are out of the loop. Hello there :) first off let me say I hope that this finds you healthy and safe :)
Well a little about me you ask I assume, lets see what I can dream up. I am a currently working on my weight with some success, I am about 270 lbs, but clocking in at 6'1. I live in the Pacific north west so I am very much on the pale side :P

I finally landed a date with someone and I'm nervous lol. I've only ever been on one date before and it was really awkward and we never spoke to each other again. We vibed well over text but in person it was just weird. Basically I went to pick her up, and I thought I should get out of my car and give her a brief hug or something. I mean, I thought it would be weird or disrespectful if I just stayed in the car. But when I went to get out she instead she bolted right into the car and didn't say much. We drove to a restaurant and she was really quiet and I was like scrambling trying to think of things to say. We went to a restaurant and she complained about the food and didn't eat anything. I even asked if we could hold hands, but she pulled away from my hand after like 15 seconds lol. And then later we went back to her place to watch some movies but she kept like a 30 foot distance on the couch between me and her. And then we never talked again I'm so scared of this shit happening again.
For this date we're going to a zoo, which is probably more interesting than sitting awkwardly at a restaurant or something. But I'm still nervous.
Nervous point #1 I'm also picking her up, and I'm wondering if I should just stay in the car when she comes out?
Nervous point #2, I literally just got a haircut a week ago and it's shorter than in my pictures. I tend to grow my hair out and then cut it short, and grow it out again..which I am doing now. I haven't had a chance to snap a picture of me with my new haircut and add it to my profile. I didn't even expect to meet anyone nearly this soon. However I do have one picture on my profile where my hair is shorter kind of like it is now. And, I feel like it would be weird randomly bringing it up after everything has been set already like "hey by the way, my hair is shorter than in my pictures, do you want to cancel the date 🥺 " and yeah it's just an awkward situation.
Nervous point #3, well in general I'm just nervous meeting people in person for the first time. I'm so scared of coming across as awkward and unsure of myself and her not liking me in person. I have this thing where I struggle to come up with things to say, and by the time I think of something, the other person starts talking and I interrupt them. Or I'll be desperately trying to fill the awkward gap with something random but it comes out weird and blah. I hate awkward moments and they're pretty much guaranteed whenever I meet someone new.

One of my goals is using my culinary prowess to better educate myself on healthy choices that are also delicious.
I will one day become a chef in a good restaurant, a loving husband, and a fantastic father. What do I want? A sweet, open minded woman who can accept my flaws as I would accept hers. I am more attracted to personality than anything, but being pretty is always a plus.

This is a lot, but I just need to vent right now.
The first half of my life was rough for various reasons. I have trauma from my dad and step dad but my grandpa was the only man who never hurt me. He’s a fun guy and as I’ve gotten older and healed from therapy, we’ve become even closer. We’re flea market pals and he inspired my love of collecting antique glass. He knows so much and is always telling me little facts about random things. I love spending time with him. He’s an old school kind of guy, meaning he doesn’t share his emotions a lot but we’ve always connected through humor and I love being able to really make him laugh.
Two weeks ago he was sent to the ER by his doctor for persistent and severe abdominal pain that went up into his back and shoulders. He has diabetes and a history of blood clots, so when my mom called me at work, I didn’t assume the worst. I went up to the hospital after my shift and walked into the ER doctor telling him that he had cancer. I was so shocked and distraught that I didn’t get to ask a lot of questions. He’s been in the hospital since and they’ve done an endoscopy and biopsy for the lesion on his pancreas (and liver?).
He’s lost weight in the last year. He’s always been a bigger guy, stocky, but I attributed his weight loss and diminished appetite to aging. He’s 83 and the body starts to slow down. He’s complained of stomach pain every now and then but I’m 31 and this man has been telling me he’s “going to the boneyard” for as long as I can remember. It’s become like a joke and whenever I have an ache or pain, I say the same thing. I guess it’s not funny anymore. I don’t know, I feel so guilty.
We got the pathology results today and it’s not good. His tumor is 2cm by 3cm with non-defined borders and deemed inoperable. The doctors are talking about palliative care or hospice. My papa doesn’t want to do chemo or immunotherapy. He just wants to rest. I don’t like it, but that’s his decision.
I miss him already. I don’t want our remaining time together to be me choking back tears and him getting upset because I’m upset. I want him to be pain free. I want him to putz around in his big garden and watch the birds like he likes to do. I want him to tell me about the action movies he watches. I want to say goofy things just to see the look on his face. I don’t want him to suffer.
I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t know how to handle all of this and digest it. I feel awful for my mom. And my grandma; they’ll be married 55 years this month. I can’t imagine the heartbreak.
How do I put my emotions aside and just be there for him and my family? This isn’t about me, but I’m already devastated. I’m not ready to lose him.

The original Little Mermaid in 1989 the songs were written by a man by the name of Howard Ashman. Ashman was an openly gay man who was extremely talented in many of his works that he did in Disney, although he passed away in 1991 from the AIDS epidemic, his memory lives on in his songs. Part of that World has queer undertones of people not accepting you for being yourself, wondering what about being gay is bad, and self discovery. Although the little mermaid is a heterosexual story, the queer undertones of the story and the fact that it was written by a gay man people believe that a man who died 31 years ago is now fully responsible for grooming their children into being gay, such as Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida. That ideology made Disney have to switch the story or it wouldn’t be able to be in the movies everywhere because Disney is a company that only cares about the money and not what people want to see on the screen. Although they changed the story it was from one minority issue to an other that was queer issues to race issues which I have no problem with I just feel as though a queer story, written by a queer songwriter, released during pride month, should not be changed especially because all of the hardships that people part of the LGBTQ+ community are already facing due to homophobic and transphobic bills being passed everyday. It just feels as though Disney only cares about money and does not care about children of gay and lesbian couples seeing their people who are like their parents on a TV show or in a Movie. Disney has always been known for their complicated views on the LGBTQ community like how they canceled the Owl House and discouraged Gravity Falls while they keep cash grabbing in pride month by all of their rainbow capitalism Mickey Mice. I really enjoyed the live action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, I just wanted to share something that bothered me. What’s your opinion on this?

Hello folks, this is a mini DBS tournament. I wanted to have it at 16 characters, but 8 was the best, suitable placement.
I tried to pick characters who are, relatively speaking, close to one another. I excluded Jiren because he was too powerful for this tournament setting, and characters that are below the selected 8 are simply way too weak to matchup to these combatants. Having matches that are simply to easy to predict doesn't garner much discussion, and it would be a waste of time.
For this tournament, it's looking to see which character will be the victor when it's all said and done. For the characters listed, we're only looking at what power and abilities they have at the Tournament of Power arc.
These tournament matchups were randomly generated. Full tournament bracket here. Expect each match to last 1-2 days.
Winner will be decided by how many users state which character wins.
Toppo was able to secure the win over Gohan, and he moves on to the next round.

Rule of Thumb: If you have trouble which fighter wins, simply think about which fighter wins more often not.
