Does anyone have a recommendation on a PADI Dive shop for single day excursions? There are 4 or us and all PADI certified. Need to rent equipment, I'm told the wetsuits can be problematic due to size.

Between this Cato news and a quite nice provocation (not in the bad way) I found in the NBA Draft sub (no reason to tag the guy here, since he's not a Mavs fan and I do not know him at all to start with), I started to think (or rather cope) with the loss of the draft pick and trading for a veteran. If this isn't a smokescreen, I believe we will be diving head first into the "build to win now" scenario. Considering this, I decided to play a little bit in Spotrac and see how far could we go in the roster build.
Disclosure, I'm following exclusively the Spotrac simulator, so any mistake cap-wise, send the e-mail to them, eh?
Disclosure #2: we will be hard capped if we use the BAE, so, yeah, no.
Scenario 1
a) DAL sends 10, 2027 FRP, Bertans to the Magic for WCJ
Honestly, WCJ is a secret in the open. He fits well a defense that switches a lot, considering how his feet is light, while he can anchor a defense to an extent. He can shoot from the perimeter, he is a legit amazing screener and a lob threat. He is a do-it-all C, on an amazing deal, that is just 24. Some might wrinkle the nose for trading 2 FRPs for him, but I think it is even kinda cheap. I'm not sure the Magic would do it, but who knows, maybe they want to package 6, 10 and 11. Three lottery picks has a lot of power, enough to either trade up hard if they want Scoot or even trade for an actual star. The deal, honestly, makes sense for both parties if we are to part ways with the pick.
A fun stat. Here's the shooting attempts that Embiid had in the last 3 games he faced WCJ: 9-18, 12-23, 11-33. If you want to say "Well, maybe the Magic has a good defense against Embiid". First, it's Embiid in Orlando, it's pretty much Luka against the Celtics. Second, WCJ did not play one game in that stretch: 18-23 and a 50pt party in 27 minutes.
b) We re-sign Kyrie for the max deal
Really, is there anything to say? If we are going this route, we are going with Kyrie.
c) Renounce the bird rights of Christian Wood
Bye bye, Wood, hope you learn how to play defense and set a screen somewhere else.
d) Sign Jalen McDaniels for the MLE
Now this starts to get interesting. Apparently, if we make those moves, at least according to Spotrac (again, I'm not a cookie smart enough to know the CBA that well to calculate the exceptions), we will have access to the full MLE. This open up the portfolio of players that we can acquire and I believe many will wander towards Dillon Brooks. However, I believe we may have a shot at signing McDaniels for the full MLE. Morey is emotional in his deals and McDaniels was an afterthought in their playoff run. Sure, Nurse is in the house, there may be a renewed interest into him, but there is a shot for him to come to Dallas for the full MLE, specially if we offer him a guaranteed starting role, which he would have. Also, if Philly re-signs Harden, they will probably be touching the 2nd apron, with Maxey's deal looming. Things could get rough.
e) Sign Pinson, Ntilikina and Powell to veteran minimum deals
Yes. They're more than decent depth, bring some locker room chemistry and have spot minutes usage in the court, specially Ntilikina. The whole "People forget about Frank" meme is a think, but Ntilikina playing spot minutes as a defensive specialist is a decent role and he could get more than the veteran minimum deal here.
Tax situation: we would be in the tax here (duh), but 6.3M over the tax. This would trigger the 1st apron, but we would be 10M +- clear of the 2nd apron, where things start to get really ugly.
Possible rotation: Luka/Kyrie/Green/McDaniels/WCJ, with Hardy, Bullock, Maxi and McGee playing an eventual playoff rotation. We can get bigger by rolling with a McDaniels/Maxi/WCJ rotation and bringing Green off the bench. There's some nice flexibility to get bigger or smaller here and WCJ is extremely versatile, enough to fit multiple defensive looks in a similar game.
Scenario 2
a) DAL sends 10, 2027 FRP, Green, Hardy and Bertans to the Raptors for OG Anunoby and Achiuwa
This is Masai we're talking about. If he is to trade Anunoby and take in Bertans' deal, he will demand Hardy. I'm not making judgements here on the trade itself (everyone here knows I want to draft, even trade down in the draft itself), but if you folks wish OG Anunoby, this deal could entice Masai, specially for Green. Yes, I know what Cato said and I know Nico almost sank the Kyrie deal because the Nets wanted Green, but if we are to make a splash, this is the way. We're getting a DPOY-caliber wing and Achiuwa, that can play more than enough spot minutes here. Maybe we could keep Hardy if we took in Boucher instead? I don't know, but we would probably need to send Timmy as salary filler and Masai hates salary fillers that are not on an expiring deal so...a rough price, in general.
b) We re-sign Kyrie for the max deal
Same.
c) Renounce the bird rights of Christian Wood
Same.
d) Sign Brook Lopez for the MLE
We already went through this. The Mavs are very likely to roll with a switchable C instead of a classic one. However, if there is a C that is a perfect fit here, is Brook Lopez. Now, I believe he has a market for more than just the MLE. Since we are trying to take a, uh, positive approach here, let's presume he is lured by just the MLE and decides he had enough of Wisconsin and wants to roll in the Luka ride. I do not need to sell anyone on Lopez, I believe. For the MLE, it is a steal.
e) Sign Pinson, Ntilikina and Powell to veteran minimum deals
Same.
f) Sign Dragic for the veteran minimum
For once, we need another guard to come off the bench. Ljubljana Ultras, rejoice for the Dragon finally arrived in Dallas.
Tax situation: 11.8M deep in the tax, with a potential high OG deal in sight and the need to find a replacement for Timmy in 2 seasons...quite grim. If you guys want a win-or-bust scenario, here it is, because we are touching that 2nd apron soon.
Possible rotation: Luka/Kyrie/OG/Maxi/Brook, with Dragic, Timmy, Bullock and Achiuwa off the bench. A lot of firepower here, not gonna lie. We would need to see more Ntilikina than people are used to, considering the lack of backcourt defense with Green gone, but this would be peak firepower. Luka would actually feel the heat of the obligation to win instead of getting media support due to "lack of teammates". Do I think we have enough to win here? Honestly? No.
I tried to think about other scenarios, but it is way too difficult to evaluate 10 in a vacuum. Feels like too much to trade for Capela, too little to trade for Myles Turner. Guys like Claxton are way overrated and THJ and Bertans, although together combine for a max-level contract, does not warrant the player worthy of one (unless we are receiving Ben Simmons and 21 and 22 without giving up 10, but that's a different deal). Do not think Ayton will be for sale under Vogel, I believe Vogel will make Ayton a focal point of their offense. Too much for Bojan, too little for Keldon Johnson and a laughable joke for Jaylen Brown.
I'm curious to see folks rationale here, because as one (tired) person, I'm sure I missed more than a few scenarios here.

Is there a way to measure how much pounds I'm pulling with the current setup, but without using any special tools?
I know there are tools that you hook on the string and pull back, and then it shows how much # it is. I don't know anyone who has one, the closest archery shop is a pretty long drive away, and it's not like I am a teacher or something that warrants buying one. I just want to know what my current # is, because I absolutely have no clue (over the years it got more, but the people at the club I went to, also didn't have a tool to measure. They did adjust the poundage though, because they knew how to even the settings on both limbs. It then was like
Them: "how does this feel?" Me: "Still extremely easy" They tweak it "And now?" Me: "bit too much" Tweak again, but as stated, nobody knew/knows what # I'm on now, and I'd like to know just for future reference, you know?

My Bachelor’s is in Film Studies, so this is my thing! I’d love to read all of your recommendations! I’m still catching up on my Rated R media.
My Film Recs:

• Schindler’s List (1993) is a MUST-SEE. If you haven’t watched it, watch it ASAP. I consider it one of the most essential visual educational tools about the Holocaust. The film is based on a true story and one of the best portrayals of life during the Nazi “Final Solution.” The film won 7 Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director (Steven Spielberg), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score (John Williams), Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Art Direction. I think teenagers should watch this film at around ~16 years old (depending on maturity) for educational purposes.

Side Note/Soap Box: I believe that watching realistic and accurate Rated-R war films is not immoral or "sinful" in any way (which I love to tell TBM's, because they immediately clutch their pearls). In fact, I would even go as far as to argue that war films that sugarcoat the violence and horror of war do a disservice to those who fought and lost their lives in those conflicts. A PG-13 historical war movie with battle scenes? Not realistic. By sugarcoating violence, especially when it comes to genocides and war, we're basically downplaying how serious those events were, and honestly, I think that's kind of sketchy from an ethical standpoint. I managed to convince a TBM friend of mine through this argument to join me in watching "Schindler's List." Before we watched it, she said, "Why not? I've already read like 40 World War II historical fiction novels." I consider that a win.

• 1917 (2019) is a World War I film that won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography with its strategy of presenting the film in one continuous shot. As I watched this film, I seemed to be running with the two characters as they traveled across enemy lines to deliver a timely message to save almost 2,000 British soldiers. It’s one of the more tame war films, but still intense.
• All Quiet on the Western Front (2022). HOLY FUCK. It’s based on the 1929 novel written by a World War I German veteran. However, this anti-war film is the first (out of 3) adaptations to ACTUALLY be produced by the Germans (the other two were made by Americans and then by Americans & Brits), seeing how this story follows the German characters in World War I.

Another Soap Box: This film is a big deal because, in film theory classes, we discussed the accuracy of media portrayals of different characters and backgrounds versus the creators' identities. Does German filmmakers’ portrayal of Germans in World War I make the story more authentic than if American filmmakers made the same film? My vote is yes. However, you don’t necessarily want to make this argument into an extreme absolute of black and white, or else you can go to extremes and say, “Only LGBTQ+ filmmakers can create stories about LGBTQ+ characters and plotlines,” or “Only white actresses can portray a mermaid, because the fairytale is Danish,” (side-eyeing majorly on that one). Then that pigeonholes filmmakers/creatives into boxes and genres, and we can miss out on some fantastic stories that otherwise wouldn’t be told.

• Back to All Quiet on the Western Front (2022). The film is tied for the most-awarded foreign film in Oscars’ history with Parasite (2019) and three other films I’m too lazy to list. NOT GONNA LIE: I got halfway through this film and couldn’t finish it. I was about to have a panic attack, even though while I watched it, I tried to calm myself down by admiring the special effects, production design, cinematography, etc., but it didn’t last long. I already know the film deserves all of the awards it won. If you can stomach it, I highly recommend watching it. Its extremely graphic depiction of violence is what makes it so staunchly anti-war. I’ll probably be able to watch the second half soon.
• Call Me By Your Name (2017). ANOTHER HOLY FUCK. This film changed my brain chemistry, and it’s one of the first and only films that made me feel like a changed person after seeing it. I used to sit in my film classes wondering what people meant about films being “life-changing,” I finally understood what they meant when the end credits started to roll on this film. It’s a coming-of-age romantic drama that put Timothee Chalamet on the map. He is phenomenal in the movie (as he is in everything he is in), and Chalamet is the youngest man (21 years old at the time) to be nominated for the Oscar’s Best Actor award since 1939. Don’t let the film being “coming-of-age” deter you. It has one of the most beautiful romantic love messages I have ever seen.

My TV recs:

• The Boys on Amazon Prime. If the Marvel/DC formula of superheroes disinterests you or starts getting on your nerves, you must watch The Boys. It’s a new gritty take on what life would actually look like with a corrupt corporation of superheroes. It’s raunchy and surprises you in the craziest ways. I think my jaw was permanently dropped watching the show. They just finished filming Season 4. It’s dark, violent, and satirical, and the show wittily comments on today’s social and political climate. Not to mention the main villain scares the FUCK out of me. The humor is top-notch, and sometimes I feel it should be illegal for me to laugh at their jokes. I highly recommend the show.
• Euphoria on HBO Max (or just Max now?). I started watching it because Zendaya won her first Emmy for portraying Euphoria’s main character, Rue, making her the youngest winner for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. (She won this Emmy Award again for Euphoria’s second season, making her the youngest two-time winner). I started the show for Zendaya, and I was drawn in by the writing and (gorgeous!) cinematography. The show’s portrayal of drug use, sex, mental health, and teenage life is deeply emotional, occasionally disturbing, but draws you into the character’s experiences. When I watched it, I was like, “So THIS is what being a teenager is like for non-Mormons!” (Though, I’m sure not all teenagers’ lives are like the dramatization in Euphoria.) I plan to rewatch the show soon now that I’m officially exmo just to see how different I perceive the show vs when I watched it as a still-believing but PIMO member.
• Fleabag. HOLY FUCK. It is a beautifully written comedy-drama with hilarious fourth wall breaks. There are only 2 seasons, but MAN they are so worth watching! It's such a realistic deep dive in heartbreak, loss, and finding yourself following the woman "Fleabag" who is so chaotic and rough around the edges, but you can't help but root for her. The show was nominated for 11 Emmy awards, and won 6. It's pacing is so refreshing. I need to rewatch it now.
• Edited to add: Narcos. Love that show. It's fast-paced, and NGL I watched it because Pedro Pascal took off his Mandalorian helmet in The Mandalorian, and I thought he was cute so I watched the show. It's based on the true story of the DEA assisting the Columbian government in trying to catch Pablo Escobar. The international politics of it all was SO interesting to me. Very violent (as you'd expect), and another show I highly recommend.

I have a vacation coming up next month that involves me going to two concerts. In the past I have always purchased new clothes for trips and especially new outfits for concerts.
It’s a family trip, so it’s really not necessary to look my absolute best or have new expensive clothes. Especially now that I’m $10,000 in credit card debt due to my shopping addiction, something my family is extremely aware of and unhappy about.
I’m trying to get my mind off of this. I know that if I continue to say yes to my addiction there will only be worse to come. What are some coping mechanisms you’ve found helpful when feeling particularly triggered?

August 26, 2010. The reconstruction

For the Court, “decisive and definitive proof of the correctness of [this] reconstruction” of the relationship between Sabrina and Ivano and between the former and the victim, comes from a “datum of extraordinary genuineness” – Sarah’s last diary entry:

• August 26: “Today had the sweet awakening with the drill, last night then I went out for a while with Sabrina and her friend Mariangela, we went to the brewery for a quick red bull, then we came home and Sabrina as usual got mad because she says that when Ivano is there I’m always with him, and I believe you at least he cuddles me unlike her, I could have 1 boyfriend like that! But whatever, I’m used to it anyway.....By Buffy Rock 95”

According to all the testimonial evidence, on both the morning and afternoon of August 26, Sarah (once she’d returned from San Pancrazio) went to Sabrina’s house; but why would she do so if the relationship had broken down? The Court considers this issue, advanced by the defense, and replies that

once her brother had left, hanging out with Sabrina represented, for young Sarah, hungry for life and leisure, the only opportunity to get out, to escape from a family environment that appeared to her to be rigid and, at that time, with her grandfather dying and her mother busy caring for him, certainly bleak and oppressive.

Anna Pisanò’s testimony sheds light on the underlying conflict between the cousins, although her account of the morning – as well as the other portions of her testimony – has been rejected by the defense, who argued that Pisanò’s role as a “super-witness” (more on this later) was the by-product of her resentment towards Sabrina, of “her willingness to create misunderstandings” and of the shared religious beliefs with Concetta. The Court rejected this argument reporting that Pisanò and Sabrina were quite intimate friends before the disappearance and the religious practices Pisanò participated to still don’t explain why she would have falsely accused Sabrina. In any case, Pisanò was a client of Sabrina; she said she was close with her, although the latter contradicted her in court.
7:55-9:30 am: Pisanò said to the investigators and later to the judges that, on the morning of August 26, she went to Sabrina’s for a session (she worked as a beautician off the books); after like an hour, Sarah arrived. Pisanò noticed that she looked unhappy and that she didn’t greet her as usual. The prosecution used this episode to argue the confrontation of the night before continued on August 26, but the defense replied that either a) Pisanò was disliked by Sarah because two years before she had said to Sarah that her father was a womanizer or b) the story narrated by Pisanò was false since the other witnesses who saw Sarah that morning don’t report anything unusual about her. Make of that what you will.
12-12:30 pm: Once she had returned to her own home, coming from the Misseris, Sarah informed her mother that she was “probably” going to the beach with Sabrina and that, in any case, she would have to wait for confirmation by her cousin. Immediately thereafter, Sarah had asked to accompany her father, who was headed for meat and fruit shopping.1:45-2 pm: Sarah left her house and headed for Sabrina’s without having received the confirmation message from Sabrina. This is corroborated by

• testimonial evidence (Sarah’s housekeeper Pantir, since the first time she was heard by the investigators, on September 1, 2010, but also later, on December 14, has always maintained that Sarah left the house to go to her cousin’s approximately shortly before 2 pm, after having quickly eaten a chicken cutlet; Antonio Petarra, an Avetrana resident and neighbor of Sarah, saw her walking down the street around 1:45 pm; likewise, a young couple;
• forensic-pathological evidence (medical examiner Strada calculated the ToD considering that Sarah had eaten precooked and homogenized food around 1:30 pm; this was contested by the defense for two reasons: a) the first, methodological, is based on the failure of the state’s forensic pathologist to analyze separately gastric content and b) the scientific questionability of the consequences of stress on the digestive phenomenon);
• cell tower evidence (the first worrying contact someone had with Sarah’s phone was Sabrina’s call at 2:42 pm – the call went to voicemail, apparently making Sabrina go in hyperventilation – and from the analysis of cell towers we know that, during this call, Sarah’s terminal pinged off the tower 40067-60241-TA-AVETRANA-Via Ludovico Ariosto-Sett.1, serving Michele’s garage, while, in the previous contacts from her schoolmate and Sabrina, the tower used was the one serving the Scazzis and the Misseris. This tells us that either Sarah was killed shortly before 2:42 pm by Michele in the garage or that Sarah’s corpse was moved in the garage by someone after she had been killed inside the house. If we hold forensic pathologist Strada’s conclusion that Sarah was strangled with a belt as true, the second hypothesis seems the more likely narration. If we additionally take into account that Sarah didn’t reply to her schoolmate messages and rings – and she was used to respond instantly according to the latter – we can conclude that Sarah was already dead at 2:25 pm and that moves the clock back also for Sarah’s departure from her house).

The Court stated that the reconstruction advanced by the defense – according to which Sarah waited for the 2:25 pm confirmation message in order to go to Sabrina’s – can’t be accepted also because it didn’t make sense for Sarah not to reply to her schoolmate Francesca’s messages if she was really waiting for the confirmation message and wasn’t engaged in any housework. The most plausible reasons why she left before receiving the message are to be identified with the fact that Sarah didn’t want to participate in the house renovations and was anxious to go to the beach.
The defense also attacked the testimony of Pantir indirectly arguing that the “young couple” – that’s the name media used to describe Giuseppina Nardelli and Fedele Giangrande – since a week after the disappearance have always said that they’d seen Sarah walking down the street after 2 pm. The Court countered that Sabrina had tried to influence the memories of the people involved in the case and that’s the distal cause of the young couple’s testimony:

[I]t is well understood how the imprimatur of a certain time indication that placed Sarah’s disappearance around 2:30 pm and, in any case, before 2:42 pm, the time when the search for her began, was provided precisely by Sabrina Misseri in the course of the interviews she gave, with the effect of conditioning not only, as already seen, the memories of Sarah’s family members, but also the information disseminated by the media.

That would explain why the missing person report compiled by Concetta mentioned 2:30 pm as the time of disappearance – Sarah’s mother had simply taken at face value Sabrina’s indication that she’d sent the confirmation message around that time. Moreover, in at least another occasion, Sabrina tried to influence directly a person informed about the facts surrounding the disappearance, namely Mariangela. This is an excerpt from an intercepted conversation between two on September 30, 2010 in the Carabinieri headquarters:

• S: “If… I was sitting under the porch, you know”
• M: “No, Sabri”
• S: “Look, you’re misremembering…”
• M: “No, Sabri”
• S: “That… that if I was sitting…”
• M: “No… you were sitting, last time you were sitting, when I came you were… And you had even closed the gate and I said, ‘what about Sarah?’”

It’s also a fact that the after-2-pm version was initially accredited because everyone thought the last movements of Sarah’s cell phone were genuine and not the result of post-mortem manipulation (more on this later), so it’s not illogical to think that the young couple could have “aligned” their memories with what they deemed to be true. Still, I think the defense raises a good point; ultimately, it’s likely that Giangrande and Nardelli misremembered or made a bad estimation because their original memory (in the later versions they admit it could have been also 2 pm) simply doesn’t fit with all the other evidence, especially Pantir’s testimony, who talked about 2 pm as the time of Sarah leaving the house when everyone else thought the correct time was another.
1:50-2:05 pm: Sarah arrived at Sabrina’s. Testifying to this there are Cosima’s intercepted words: “it would have been better if lightning had fallen on the house, electrocuting us all that day… electrocuting us all before the girl came”. It’s unlikely that she went to the garage as hypothesized by the defense since, even according to Sabrina, she wasn’t used to hang out alone there at all. Moreover,

It is utterly implausible that Sarah Scazzi – if previously molested, as the Defenses assume – could have decided, for no plausible reason, to voluntarily descend into the dark garage, into the clutches of her molesting uncle (as will be said shortly, just as the latter, enraged by the failure to start the tractor, was shouting and “swearing” like a possessed).

Sabrina testified in court that around this time (when, for example, she received her cousin Adamaria’s call and didn’t respond to it) she was resting in the double bed of her parents, though this is contradicted by Michele even when the latter was offering a completely self-accusatory version: he said that he’d talked to Sabrina in the house before Sarah arrived. On the other hand, Cosima – who according to Sabrina was lying next to her in the double bed – never mentioned the numerous calls, messages and rings her daughter had received in those minutes. Why would she lie about this, in any case?

There was, in fact, a need to defer the moment of her exit to the porch, in order to exclude the possibility of a meeting with Sarah at the moment when the latter – according to the defense version, which saw her leaving the house after receiving confirmation text messages from her cousin – was arriving at the Misseri house.

It’s difficult to understand, moreover, why Sabrina would send the message, “I’m trying [to poo] in the bathroom :)”, to Mariangela if, as she testified in court, the “attempt” lasted only a few seconds. But there are lots of contradictions in Sabrina’s accounts of the events. The shower that, according to previous statements, she had taken once she got out of bed, in the trial statements became a “rinse” of her private parts; regarding the message of 2:39:27 pm to Mariangela (“Ready”), Sabrina, in her statements of October 15, said she’d typed it when she was on the porch, but – faced with the contestation that she had stated that, 55 seconds earlier, when she had received the message from Angela Cimino, she was with certainty in the bathroom – she argued at trial that this message had been sent when she “was going out on the porch”. Concerning these details, the defense tried to deflect holding that Sabrina was in a state of “mental confusion” caused by her cousin’s – to whom she was very close – disappearance. The Court replied that

The detectable contradictions cannot be the result of mnemonic deficits, especially since, most of the time, this is not the explanation that was given by the defendant to justify the narrative inconsistencies.

At this point, though, we have to introduce a crucial witness who showed up quite late but was deemed genuine (at least in his first deposition) by the prosecution and then by the Court; his name is Giovanni Buccolieri and he was a florist in Avetrana.

The kidnapping: the dream of the florist and Cosima’s motive

The finding of kidnapping, contested in complicity to Cosima Serrano and Sabrina Misseri, in the reconstruction of the criminal facts constitutes the logical and factual antecedent of the murder of Sarah Scazzi: the young girl, shortly after entering the house, hastily left [Sabrina’s house], heading on foot toward her home; however, she was chased and immediately tracked down by Cosima Serrano who, together with Sabrina Misseri, forced her to board the Opel Astra car and, placing herself in the driver’s seat again, drove her back to her home in Via Deledda, where she was strangled.

The path by which the information about the kidnapping reached investigators was tortuous. On April 5, 2011, super-witness Anna Pisanò talked with the investigators to report that, in September 2010, she’d heard by her daughter Vanessa Cerra that “someone” she knew had seen Cosima grab Sarah by the hair, snatch her and throw her in the Misseri car on the afternoon of August 26, 2010. Pisanò had asked many times to Cerra who was this mysterious individual, but she decided to make his name only when she left for a job in Germany (saying that, if questioned, he would have said that it was only a dream). When Pisanò discovered the identity of the witness, she went to the investigators.
April 9, 2011 is the day Buccolieri appeared before prosecutors to offer information about Sarah’s disappearance. Only two days later, however, he requested another interview to retract what he’d already told, justifying himself by saying that he wasn’t sure it was real – it could have been a very vivid dream. The prosecutors immediately charged him with perjury, since either the first or the second interview contained false information. Then, in court, Buccolieri used his right to remain silent, although the content of the first interview was mentioned in the motivation report that sentenced Cosima (and Sabrina) to life in prison.
The florist’s dream is one of the most contested points of the sentence. The Supreme Court observed that Buccolieri retracting his testimony about having seen the kidnapping has to be explained in terms of an “attempt to evade the judicial responsibilities incumbent on him”. On the contrary, Cosima’s and especially Sabrina’s defenses argued that only Anna Pisanò reported the incident by talking about a real fact and not a dream, and that she cannot be trusted for the reasons described above.
Concerning the validity of the testimony, the Court considered firstly the discrepancy between Buccolieri’s preoccupation with the incident and it supposedly being just a vivid dream:

that Buccolieri continued, in the days and months that followed, to talk about the affair, albeit representing it as a “dream”, to relatives, relatives-in-law and friends while showing agitation and disturbance, however, makes it quite clear that he – aware of the seriousness of the episode and its significance as an essential junction in the reconstruction of the murder – could not help but think about it and, therefore, talk about it.

Mention has already been made of Pisanò’s credibility, which again becomes an important point here. The woman reported to investigators that her daughter had told her about the incident in terms of a real fact, while the daughter claimed that Buccolieri had only ever told her about a very vivid dream that made it difficult to understand whether it was real or not. Cerra said in court that, when she had asked again Buccolieri to go talk with the investigators, he replied, “If they call me, I deny everything”.
This is probably the strangest piece of evidence pertaining to this case, the only one directly implicating Cosima and it’s quite difficult to assess its validity. The Court considered the issue and tried to justify its reasoning in more than 100 pages. There are reasons both to believe and not to believe that it was a vivid dream.
Firstly, we know for a fact that Buccolieri did have a flower delivery to do on that day. Interestingly, his description of the abduction temporally preceded the discovery of Sarah’s body; this suggests that he may have been truthful insofar as he would have anticipated other evidence emerging from the trial. Another reasoning in favor of the theory that the kidnapping was real is that Cerra wouldn’t have asked Buccolieri to talk with the Carabinieri if his narrative had been really told in the terms of a dream; at the same time, Cerra wouldn’t have refused to tell her mother the name of the dreamer. It would also have been strange for Pisanò – if she had falsely said that the kidnapping was real – to have been able to predict that Buccolieri would speak in the terms of a real fact in his first interview. Finally, the Court considered that the fact Buccolieri said to Cerra that only she knew how things went proved that what he said to his wife and mother-in-law (namely, that it was all a dream) was false – in other words, only Cerra was able to listen to the “true” account of the events; Pisanò then managed to discover it and told about it to the investigators.
On the other hand, it would be dishonest not to acknowledge that Buccolieri to this day maintains that the prosecutors somehow convinced him that the episode was factual, when in reality, according to him, it was only a dream. Other bits of intercepted conversation suggest either that Buccolieri was truthful when he accredited the dream version or that he was trying to impose it to Cerra: “The two of us, when we talked, we talked about a dream and that’s all… we didn’t talk about anything else”. Others again seem to imply that there was a common preoccupation, between Buccolieri and Cerra, with not being involved in the case: “You have to say that… the right things, Va”, “But I said the right things”. In court, Buccolieri’s wife Giuseppina Scredo testified that her husband seemed worried about the “dream” because at the same time he told her about it circumstantial items against Cosima had emerged – but prosecutors replied that, in reality, Cosima became a suspect only in 2011, so it’d have been exaggerated for Buccolieri to be worried about the dream:

[Buccolieri], however, would have had no reason to feel such dismay if it was merely a dream going back in time or if he was in doubt between dream and reality, and even less so if [the story about the kidnapping] was the result of popular suggestion or a “collective dream” of the Avetranese who disliked Serrano. […] Unless we want to attribute to Buccolieri premonitory powers and divinatory abilities, it is not possible that, immediately after Michele Misseri’s arrest, he could have already had suspicions – based, it should be assumed, solely on the unjustifiable dislike he felt for a fellow citizen with a “strong” character whom he saw appearing on television – about Cosima Serrano, so much so that he became convinced of her guilt and “dreamed” of her involvement in the victim’s kidnapping.

It’s also important to ask what would be Cosima’s motive. The Court considered that

The attention that the entire family paid to the aspect of public consideration is further evidenced by Valentina Misseri’s statement at trial about the reasons underlying the reproaches that she and her sister Sabrina used to address to the young Sarah because of the young girl’s affectionate attitudes – which they considered excessive and out of place – to people of the opposite sex, or the makeup that was too “heavy” for her age, which could have, in the older cousins’ view, aroused the gossip of the Avetranese community (“people who talk and are gossipy”) by having the minor girl ‘labeled’ as a ‘no-good’.

Cosima was therefore greatly concerned about what might be said about her daughter if her failed intercourse and on-and-off relationship with Ivano were discovered and especially held Sarah responsible for the humiliation her daughter suffered. As for why she decided to follow Sarah back to her house like the florist had described, the Court considers that the news of the argument was not supposed to reach the Scazzi home – if it had happened, Sarah’s parents would’ve been outraged at Cosima and Sabrina for everything “improper” for a 15-year-old Sarah had discovered or participated to (especially in a rural, tight-knit community as Avetrana is): from knowing about the intercourse to being photographed in pajamas with Sabrina by a shirtless Ivano late one night in May 2010.

It is also shown that the defendant [Cosima] Serrano paid extreme attention to the profile of family respectability, opposing conduct of her daughter that appeared to her, in terms of mentality, age, and culture, to be excessively uninhibited – so much so that she regularly called Sabrina insulting epithets alluding to her sexual mores (“bitch”, “whore”). […] The affront suffered at the hands of the little girl, her rebellion against the authority of her aunt and the fear that she would reveal facts that would compromise the honorability of the Misseri family, generated a strong emotional reaction in the woman that induced her to commit the kidnapping and, once the little girl was brought back home, to commit the crime of murder.

The murder and the weapon

According to the Court that convicted the defendants, Sarah entered the Misseri’s house and stayed there for only a few minutes before leaving abruptly. The fight that broke out that afternoon had to be different from the typical altercations between the two girls, having required the intervention of Cosima.

Sarah, who was attacked and reprimanded, did not suffer supinely this time: she must have experienced those reprimands, those accusations as so undeserved, disproportionate and unjust that she reacted harshly toward her aunt in harsh tones, and with accusations, certainly serious and unexpected, that affected not only her cousin, but also her aunt because of the seriousness of them. […] The questioning of the authority of the two women, Serrano’s outrage at what must have seemed to her to be intolerable accusations made by Sarah and an inadmissible act of rebellion, as well as a show of ingratitude on the part of the little girl who had been welcomed and raised “like a daughter” in that home, the realization that Sarah had grown up and was no longer the shy and submissive child who could be “managed”, but a person capable of reacting, responding in kind, questioning the authority of the two “parental” figures, even rivaling her older cousin and revealing her habits and secrets, shaming her before her mother’s eyes, all these things triggered the reaction of Sabrina Misseri and Cosima Serrano.

After they had returned to the Misseri’s house on the Opel Astra, Sabrina and Cosima strangled Sarah with a belt, one holding her down and the other tightening her grip around the neck. This is also corroborated by the forensic-pathological evidence: according to prof. Strada’s autopsy, “a flat, ribbon-like furrow in the front of the neck is clearly visible [on Sarah’s neck], even to the layman”, while “excluding the mode of strangulation hypothesized by the defense [i.e. a kind of complete hanging] is the absence of signs of fracture of the hyoid bone and cricothyroid cartilages”. Strada concluded therefore that the murder weapon was a belt, the seams of which produced the furrow present on Sarah’s neck.
Against the objections of Sabrina's and Cosima’s defense – which argued that the indication of the murder weapon was intended to shift the blame towards the two defendants – there is the fact that the autopsy was filed on November 11, 2010, when Michele was still the only suspect: Strada could not have known that Sabrina and Cosima would be investigated shortly thereafter.

It is therefore clear that the indication of a belt, not a rope, as the murder weapon preceded the reconstruction that, only later, by virtue of an unambiguous circumstantial framework, came to identify the Misseri family home as the scene of the murder.

The Court noted that “the defense counsel ultimately failed to provide a plausible alternative explanation for the presence of the whitish furrow ‘averaging 2.6 cm wide’ found on the front of the victim’s neck, nor did he effectively explain the origin and nature of the repetitive segmented, in-line impressions present at the edges of said furrow”. In response to the argument that the weapon may have been a rope (such as the one indicated by Michele), the Court underlined that Strada argued extensively that the furrow couldn’t have been produced by such a constraining means.
In addition to that, the Court holds that – since on Sarah’s neck “a sharp, smudge-free pattern was detected” and “the victim did not put up any resistance, especially since it was found that there was no further injury to the ‘structures’ of the neck” – the perpetrators of the vicious attack must have been two, namely Sabrina and Cosima. It was also argued that, if Cosima should be held responsible for kidnapping Sarah and make her go back to the Misseri house, then it becomes quite hard to explain how she didn’t also participate to the actual murder. If the florist’s story is not a dream, Cosima is responsible for killing her niece.

I am a 26yof who is 5'7" and 153lbs. I have no history of using illicit substances (including weed), I drink occasionally - I would say an average total consumption of alcohol would come to about a glass or two of wine per week. I do not smoke. I am a volunteer firefighter and my paid job is software testing, so mainly sedentary with sudden bursts of activity + exposure to the nasty things that make up burning structures.
I take 75mcg levothyroxine and 30mg of Cymbalta.
Currently diagnosed with Hashimoto's and Fibromyalgia. Hypermobile type of Ehler's Danlos was in my chart and my doctor removed it today as it was apparently in there just to justify genetic testing.
My current complaint is fatigue and I generally just want other sets of eyes to look at my info and see if anything stands out as being a possibility.
I have included a list of landmark issues I have had with my health over the past few years.
2011-Heart Palpitations which felt like skipped beats
Age 17: Palpitations treated with beta blockers. Medication induced sickness. Stopped medication.
Age 20: Went back to GP for palpitations. 3 week Heart monitor was employed. PVCs and one run of SVT. Normal CBC & CMP at time. Hashimoto Thyroiditis discovered on thyroid panel for antibodies.
Age 20: Developed knee pain. Bilateral knee x-ray, no significant findings noted. Ortho noted hypermobility in shoulders, Ehler's Danlos was suspected.
Age 20: Single vehicle car accident > CT w/o contrast of head and c-spine. Only SF was arthritis of the neck.
Age 21: Saw genetic counselor and ruled out Ehler's Danlos. Saw physiatrist and she assessed for Ehler's Danlos, Marfan and Loeys-Dietz. She found no evidence to confirm any of those and the Beighton scale was inconclusive. Physiatrist suggested further genetic testing and an echo.
Age 22: Diagnosed with fibromyalgia and prescribed gabapentin. No longer had knee pain as it had moved to bilateral shins. Echocardiogram revealed normal cardiac function and no valvular abnormalities, ruling out Marfan and Loeys Dietz.
Age 23: Elective bilateral salpingectomy.
Age 23: Home sleep study with no significant findings.
Age 25: Genetic testing rules out all forms of Ehler’s Danlos except hypermobile type.
Age 25: Facial numbness, loss of balance, and difficulty forming sentences (difficulty finding words). New extreme fatigue noted to the point of falling asleep during work duties. Cymbalta dosage was elevated to 60mg from 30mg in an attempt to combat fatigue. Was still tired but could not sleep at all. Dose lowered to 30mg.
Age 25: MRI of head to assess for MS. Bloodwork for Myasthenia Gravis. Both were ruled out.
Age 25: Gabapentin discontinued due to excessive sleepiness.
Age 26: Continued facial numbness and extreme fatigue. Often falling asleep at work.
Age 26: Elevated ALT seen on blood draw today, lower TSH than usual for me but within range. No other items in the CBC, lipid panel or metabolic panel were out of range. 6/6/2023.
TL;DR: My body feels like a really old person and I want to know what in tarnation is going wrong and if there is anything I can do about it or testing to find more answers.

Truck: 2014 F150 XLT, 90k miles, very good service record, breaks done and tires replaced recently (by the same place in question), V8 Automatic.
I recently brought my 2014 F150 XLT in on a Saturday to get oil changed and tires rotated (I do not currently have any space to perform the work myself, and I have been enjoying this dealership.) It's at about 90k miles, and gets pretty well taken care of however, the dealership suggest flushing the fluids as they looked quite bad - I said 'fair' and went with it.
The dealership called back later asking if I knew where the key to my spare was, because they had 'damaged one of the wheels' and did not have a replacement. The replacement was already on order and was supposed to come on Monday.
I call back Monday, and the replacement has not come in - the new guy I am talking to today informs me that the technician did not put the wheel back on correctly and it fell off while they were test driving it!!
I processed this for the next day, and all my coworkers are telling me there is no way the truck isn't seriously damaged after something like that. I called back to get another follow up and ask more detailed questions - This time I learned it was the Right Rear that fell off while driving.
The guy informed me that there was no damage, only to the aluminum wheel, but I would like all of your opinions:
Do you think this truck has sustained considerable/severe/total damage? I am not extremely vehicle fluent so I wouldnt really know how to inspect the vehicle for damages, but I will be taking it to another shop for a second opinion on what might be going on. I am also worried that this 'wheel' hasn't come in yet, because it is really just waiting on the insurance agent to come out. I can't fathom an extremely popular FORD dealership to not have a replacement for an F150.

Edit: I confirmed with the guy on the phone, that the wheel fell OFF of the vehicle while driving.

One of my first wood working projects, I'm sanding down 1/4" plywood after applying primer (i'm painting it) and i'm not noticing the swirl marks as they are happening, but when i put it directly under light at a downward angle I can see them. Smol Vent: Okay, so I’ve detailed my personal horrors of chemo on here before, and today was my first follow up with the oncologist since finishing. I already am not her biggest fan bc I had so many issues that she kept passing the buck on- I must’ve seen 3 other doctors just in the same clinic bc i could never reach her, and when I did, she did not give much support and she sure as shit did not warn me for common things that could’ve been avoided. For example: I saw another doc on my worst day, 9/10 GI pain, mouth sores so bad I couldn’t eat and white count on the floor, and THAT doctor said “holy shit, we’re gonna get you some morphine” meanwhile my onco had told me to take ibuprofen and to get some fluids in office if I needed it. Dear fucking god I was ready to punch my OG onco today. We go in to discuss hormone blockers for long term care after I finish rads, and she brings up this drug called Abemaciclib. It’s something that has been used for metastatic patients, and has just been approved for “curable” patients in conjunction with their hormone therapy. She says that there’s some pretty gnarly GI side effects and the thought of putting me on it has “kept her up at night”. But offers no other alternative and pretty much confirms this is what she will do. I’m on the verge of tears bc I CANNOT go through GI pain like I had and ESPECIALLY NOT for 2-3 years worth with little to no help from this shitty team. I asked her a question about my previous ovarian function and she blows it off saying an OBGYN might help, but it’s PROBABLY NOTHING (I’m 25 and my ovaries were about to close up shop BEFORE ANY TREATMENT, I’d say that’s something to look into🤷🏻‍♀️) ((not to mention that phrase “it’s probably nothing” was told to me by 3 docs who blew off my BREAST LUMP THAT WAS CANCER so it was extremely discouraging to hear it AGAIN)) I left so angry, but that anger gave me the courage to finally make an appointment with a different oncologist at a different hospital who is known for taking patient QOL into serious consideration!! I’m feeling so optimistic already! Anyways, rant over, thank you if you read, I hope no one has this kind of experience, but if you do, vent to me in the comments❤️

Hey everyone, long but maybe a helpful post incoming.
I wanted to share my experience in depth with getting ill very suddenly in October of 2022 (8 months in) so this will be a bit of a longer post. I’m posting this to see if there are some similarities out there, maybe if anyone had some advice for me or even just share some progress, treatments or approaches.
Also for anyone reading that’s having a hard time with symptoms & long covid, I am keeping positive and will keep this post positive too. I strongly believe we will find the mechanisms at work; there is already so much research, testing etc. going on so please try keep your head up there’s a lot of people in this and a lot are getting better too. I am 28, male, active and healthy before this and had little to no health problems prior.
What happened to me at the beginning:
Went on a weekend away with friends at a quiet Airbnb near a beach from Friday through to Monday. Stayed at the airbnb all weekend and had some alcoholic drinks, using the hot tub and just hanging out.
I woke up on Monday morning and immediately started to projectile vomit and could not keep even a sip of watefood down. Vomiting at all is a very rare occurrence for me even after drinking so this was immediately a red flag. After about 3 or 4 hours this eventually subsided during the trip home.
After feeling not the best (flu-like symptoms with upset stomach, hot & cold, sore lower back) for 2 days after arriving home; on Wednesday I felt a dissociation/spaced out feeling come on suddenly while working at home & had what I felt was similar to a panic attack (heart racing, cold hands and feet, lightheaded) and after lying down from this I was slammed with the worst headache I've ever had. And this is where all my symptoms started. I can’t remember exactly when I tested (maybe 2 or 3 antigen tests at home) for covid during this time but it may have been a few days or maybe even a week after this but it was a negative test so for a long time I did not suspect covid. I was leaning more towards a bacterial or virus from the hot tub initially.
What followed:
Below are the symptoms I’ve experienced since then, I also contracted covid at the end of February so I’m unsure if I had Covid twice, or a post viral syndrome from another virus or bacteria that was exacerbated by Covid. EBV, Cytomeglo and further virus testing has come back negative and reading symptoms I feel that there is a lot of similarity with long-covid symptoms mentioned by everyone here.

• Headache - almost constant (mild to severe) (severe sinus & tension type headaches, ice pick headaches & pain at back of head as well as front and temples).
• Neck & Shoulder Pain - almost always (sharp or dull)
• Back Pain - often - mostly lower with stomach pain & sometimes middle & upper back
• Fatigue - occasionally - this seems to be on the milder side, can get through days fine.
• Sinus Swelling - often - CT scan showing persistent sinusitis - post nasal drip often follows. this particularly sucks and is very uncomfortable.
• Brain Fog - often, slightly less - comes with sinus swelling at times.
• Heart Palpitations - less often than before, sometimes onset - throbbing feeling in head and all over - multiple ECGs & 24hr Holter Monitor showed nothing.
• IBS - often for the first few months, now more rarely - irregular stool (size, frequency), undigested, sore abdomen strikes suddenly and can cause intense abdominal pain and diarrhea.
• General feeling of Malaise - often
• Tinnitus - often - sharp noise occasionally, low level ringing often.
• Dry/allergic/irritated eyes - occasionally
• Hacking up phlegm - often, onset
• Dermographism - occasionally - only real visible symptom that I’m having
• Twitching - more often recently
• Chest tightness - occasionally - breathlessness, short of breath or dry cough
• Mouth Ulcers & Eye Styes - every month or so, much more common during illness

Newer Symptoms (After contracting Covid):

• Anxiety & Depression - occasionally - related to health condition, have had good mental health until this. very up and down in progression. feel waves of sadness throughout the day or week.
• Pain in testicles - sore for a period of time, has come back a bit - Epididymis on left testicle side swollen, scrotum tightening occasionally, testing showed nothing. This is quite limiting for exercise & running
• Paresthesia - rare - feeling of sunburned skin (stomach, forearms, top of hands, nose and back of neck) - itchy sensations around body. This has subsided since it happened first.
• Hands turning red occasionally - especially when walking.
• Pain in joints, spine, hands - often - arthritis like feeling

My experience:
I wanted to add how things have been for me personally. I feel like I’ve been through my own hell so far. In the first few months I was doing fine as I assumed it would get better in a few weeks, maybe next month, definitely before Christmas etc. while managing symptoms and hanging on to the words of my favourite google search “does post viral syndrome go away” which always brought me the answer I wanted “it is temporary”. During February my mother was diagnosed with cancer and as an only child I think this is where my mental health began to suffer. In March when my testicular pain began I seen another doctor who mentioned central sensitization and my mind and ability to cope plummeted. I was scared out of my mind and I began to wonder if I would survive and had relegated myself to permanent disability for life. I would get a lot of awful feelings out of nowhere, an impending doom sense that was pretty engulfing. Thankfully I have an incredible partner who has been with me every step of the way and she has kept me from some very dark places, I am extremely lucky to have her. I worked for the initial 6 months after getting sick (work from home job) and told my work straight up that I needed support and to role back my responsibilities. Unfortunately as my mental health declined around March I had to step away from work (thankfully insured for now) but was unable to properly look at my work screen, do complex tasks or manage my work without feeling sluggish and needed to step away every 10 or 15 minutes.
The medical side:
I have seen a number of doctors, specialists including 2 A&E visits. Listed below are who I’ve seen and what I’ve done in chronological order. Thankfully have a close family friend who specializes in virology and took my case on to dive into deeper. After tons of testing for what feels like every variation of medical issue, the only thing that has shown up from all the testing done was a very recent positive test for Anti-CCP-AKS which points to polyarthritis as a symptom not a diagnosis. I have a gamma camera scheduled & a colonoscopy too for the summer. In terms of medication I did about 2 months on Amitriptyline, it probably helped some symptoms but I gained a lot of weight so stopped, I have found it hard overall to tell what helps and what doesn’t. One day I’ll try something I think “oh this helps” and then a few days later I’ll suffer symptoms while trying it out. I have tried my best to avoid taking medication and stick to supplements only.
Tests:

• Multiple Bloods - Initially B cells found, Anti-CCP-AKS (Positive at a low level)
• Urine - Normal
• Physical - Normal
• CT - Normal
• Chest X-ray - Normal
• Ultrasound of Abdomen, Scrotum, Thyroid, Bladder - Normal
• MRI of Brain - Normal

Here’s what I’ve been supplementing & doing to support.

• Magnesium (600mg daily)
• Probiotics (Align 1 capsule per day)
• Coconut water, multi-vitamin & electrolytes

Overall I feel a bit better but having plenty of attack/relapses/waves or whatever we want to call them. I find the biggest help is sleeping or resting as much as possible, hot showers and eating right. I’m happy to answer questions and see what compares. I would love some more advice on supplementation as I know its basic at the moment.

I was going to order some Halloween plush toys (I like to shop early) from oriental trading and I noticed it had the California prop warning for lead exposure. I’m not sure why stuffed toys would have lead on them. I’m thinking possibly lead dust but I do not want to expose children to this and was wondering if I put them in the washing machine is that enough to wash anything harmful off and make them safe?

I am currently writing from a hotel room in Marseille. tonight is my final evening here. I have about £5,000 in my savings. I am 25 years old and don't have a job or a place to stay. 1 year ago I was living in London working in restaurants. I quit my job at the time and started getting really introspective and doing a deep dive on myself. this began to effect my mental health quite strongly and I decided to move back home with my parents. Part of the reason I chose to do this was out of laziness, i.e. I didn't want to work.

After staying at home with my parents it became clear pretty quickly that addressing my relationship with them and the dysfunction in our relationship was impossible. It seemed they only wanted to direct and dictate what I should do and how (get a job), as if having one absolved them of any responsibility as individuals. I felt the pressure from them subconsciously which meant that I could never really relax and deal with the real mental health issues that I was also facing. Its like they would say they wanted to help me but their unconscious attitude was moreso, we want you to get a job and move on with your life so you can stop dredging up your experiences from the past. Eventually I picked up a job working again in a restaurant, but found I was going in circles and quit again after about 1 month. I noticed dramatically the shift in everyones attitude towards me when I had a job vs when I didn't. As soon as I quit it suddenly felt like everyone in my family turned on me, like I was wounded prey. the tension and presssure continued to build until XMAS where I snapped and 'lost it'. I completely flipped out and had a sort of breakdown calling everyone out on the way I was being treated. I told my family at the time I didn't want to be part of the family any more. the following day i seemed to have calmed down a bit and backtracked on my words, but I think it was moreso to make the days before my departure more palatable.
Following this I decided I needed to leave and I flew to Lyon, France. this is when things started to get really intense. My mental state was quickly disintegrating. I was having extreme paranoid, delusional and manic states of mind and I was at a loss of what to do. At the same time I felt extreme polarising emotions about my life back in the UK, my friends and family. Extreme feelings of guilt about leaving my family and friends behind and questioning and doubting my decisions all the time. It would then flip and I would recall so many moments of abuse, manipulation and mistreatment at the hands of my parents, my friends which gave me the incentive to never want to speak with them again. this sort of ping pong was excruciating and I could never settle on an attitude to hold in dealing with these relationships. During this period I communicated with my family through text and phone call on occasion for their peace of mind and found that even through these channels of communication it seemed they (mostly my father) were still trying to manipulate and control me into coming home. After 3 months I was ready to come home again and spoke to my family to arrange it. However once I had prepared myself to come home and everything set into motion, I would suddenly be seized by tremendous terror of the thought of putting myself back into a situation with theses individuals that had caused me and me them so much pain. I bailed on that and continued to float through Lyon for a couple months.

I ended up at my family home in the South of France and the same thing happened again. My brother and my dad came out to visit me and due to my long periods of not working the amount of memories and experiences from my childhood started to surface and it was extremely intense and dark. these experiences have caused me to see with more clarity the reality of my family life and the history behind it and it only seems to get worse the more I look into myself. After being at my family's home by myself for a while things started to change in my mind and something took over in me. For long periods of time I wouldn't have to think or 'act' / 'direct' my behaviour in any way things were just happening of their own accord. It was if I was being led by unconscious forces that would direct me to rooms, cupboards etc. with old toys / pics / that were triggering deeply embedded memories and revealing so much that I had ignored in the past. the gravity of these realisations became so intense that I decided that I needed to leave and never speak to my family again. I left the house and I didn't tell anyone and walked for about 25km to a little village in the hills. I stayed there for the night and the following morning found my way to Marseille. Since being here my parents have been trying to contact me and I don't know what to do. When I was at the house I was sure that I wanted to leave and never speak to them again, for my own safety and well being.

Since being in Marseille I have been under the impression that it has been me that has been in the wrong the whole time and that I have spurred every opportunity to be helped by outside forces and that I have treated my family extremely poorly. And now I am here in this hotel room again feeling indifferent to my family and questioning on what instinct to trust. I know this is a mouthful and is very hard to much perspective on but any help would be greatly appreciated because I am truly at a loss of what to do. Cheers x
