2023.06.03 19:47 Round-Toe228 Neck pain and headache on right side
Hi. 32F, 135lbs, 5’5. I take Adderall most weekdays, 20mg. A couple years ago I had my postauricular lymph node biopsied on the right side as well as some moles around my scalp. The node was hard and fixed and didn’t go down with antibiotics. Moles were dysplastic, benign. What I understood about the node was whatever they saw under the microscope might have indicated “in situ follicular neoplasia” but my ENT did not seem to concerned about it and there was no evidence of lymphoma present.
About three days ago I had pain in my neck on the right side, thought I slept weird. And then two days ago in the late afternoon I suddenly got a really weird headache. It hurt(s) pretty bad and is different than any headache I’ve ever had. It was near the top on the right side above my ear but like in the middle. And then yesterday the pain continued, it was hard for me to move and especially hard for me to turn my head to the right. If I press on the right side of my neck in a certain spot at the base of my skull it creates kind of a shooting pain. But the pain in general is fairly constant.
Anyone know what this might be/if I need to go see a doc soon? I’m moving tomorrow and I’m really annoyed lol.

2023.06.03 19:47 m_sxn Am I wrong if I'm turning left and someone going 3x the speed limit hits me?
Fortunately, no accident happened, but the other day I was turning left through a median on a major street. These left turns are legal and common here. I had about a half mile space on my right side and about a quarter mile space on my left, so the turn was very clear. As I'm moving towards the median, this car comes by on my left at easily 120MPH (3 times the speed limit). I feel fairly confident in my ability to judge speed as I attend a lot of racing events and participate myself. It took from me pulling out to getting across a 3 lane road for them to go a quarter mile. I told my parents and my mom seems to believe that if we collided I would be at fault. I don't believe so, as I had more than enough safe space and they were going an absurd speed and it was impossible to see them from the distance they were originally at.

2023.06.03 19:47 aurora_records Some fun garage sale finds this morning
| Out again this weekend hunting for records, stereos, etc. found some pretty cool stuff. My favorite 2 are •Dave Brubeck - Time Out 1959 Mono Columbia 6 eye 1st press. Not perfect but solid jacket besides the red spine/seam tape, and the vinyl looks high end VG •The Thelonious Monk Quartet - Monk’s Dream 1987 Remastered reissue which was sealed, until about 5 minutes ago and is now playing perfectly on my dual I paid $20 each so $40 for these and I feel good about it. Both are great records and in nice shape. The second picture is the rest of the haul featuring some classics that will either be upgrads in my collection or some that will end up on my discogs store. I paid $2 a piece for each in the second photo. It always fun digging but yard/garage/estate sales to me are the best. You truly never know what you will find. Happy spinning yall🍻 submitted by aurora_records to vinyl [link] [comments] |
2023.06.03 19:47 zenaku2299 Newer tuba
Hey guys ! So this isn't really a question or something but I just wanted to talk about my experience with a tuba so far. I switched to tuba around veterans day bc our other tuba can't celebrate anything due to his religion. I played euphonium before , so I caught on quickly.
I thought I was gonna quit after the Christmas concert but something about the tuba just made me wanna stay. I continued and I made 3rd chair in honor band ! There were 8 tubas , so i was really happy with the outcome.
Then came our spring concert and now I'm using a newer tuba gifted to our school by the state instead of our old , broken down rotary. I had to use the rotary during our LGPE performance but that's okay. I just couldn't play any notes that were above high C. I played in our spring concert and even got a soli (2 tubas and 1 Bari sax part. It was in Cantina Band from Star Wars).
For those of you who aren't sure about switching to tuba , I suggest doing it. Its really fun and you'll find a talent you didn't even know you had. Take it from me , someone who's only been playing for nearly 9 months or more. Have fun with it !

I've had a NatWest bank account for 2 years now and I've just found out that they are selling my information to Equifax without my permission. I've called NatWest and they've told me that I need to contact Equifax.
I sent Equifax a letter saying that I don't consent and that I need them to stop selling my data and they have sent me a letter back saying to contact NatWest. I'm just going in circles!
How do I inform them to stop? It's my data under GDPR.

2023.06.03 19:47 Happy_Shock_3050 A rat stole a tiny coffee mug.
I don’t know if I would believe this story if someone else was telling it, but here we go…
We’re having a garage sale. My parents moved out of their house and sold it to my husband and I. They left a LOT of stuff behind.
Yesterday, my mom messaged me asking me to pull out these tiny coffee mugs we got on vacation some years ago. By tiny, I mean they’re like 1 centimeter in height. Maybe not even. But, they have our names on them.
So, I found them and put them in the plastic bin I keep with our table that has all kinds of random things on it: price stickers, tape, and SNACKS.
Last night, I totally forgot to bring the bin in and even left it on the ground.
When I came out in the morning, I found scattered snacks. Yay. My mind went immediately to the tiny mugs, hoping none were broken in the process.
In the crumbs, I found four of the five.
Somehow, my dad’s was missing. I know with 100% certainty that I had all five yesterday and that they were all in that bin together.
More than likely, it was rats that got into the bin since we have them living under the porch. I scoured the whole area from where the bin was to their hole.
It’s gone.
So, at this point I just keep imagining a rat that happens to have the same name as my dad sipping his coffee from his new mug that he can’t believe he found… but also wondering why it was actually taken in the first place…

2023.06.03 19:46 Alone-Personality-57 Need help with a hit and run
I clean a house for a Doctor and two days ago I had used my daughters 2022 Toyota to go clean his home.. When I got back home my daughter noticed a dent ( pretty large)and a scrape on the passenger front bumper. I went straight there and back home except once to get gas so it was nothing I did.... Usually the dr isn't home so I pull up under the carport but this particular time he was so I had to pull over into the grass but the passenger side was still a little on the driveway...I truly do believe that when he pulled out he hit her car but never said anything.. We drove to his office to look at his suv but he has dents all over it.. I'm in louisiana.. This dr is a very cheap man and I wouldn't put it passed him to lie about it.. I'm just not sure if I should call the cops are what needs to be done.. My daughter has extremely good auto insurance but we're just thinking that if she files a claim on her insurance that she will just have to psy her big $500 deductible. Whst should we do? Thanks.

2023.06.03 19:46 AutoModerator Here's To Watch The Little Mermaid Online For Free REDDiT
‘The Little Mermaid’ is finally here. Find out how to watch Disney's latest live-action adaptation animated film The Little Mermaid online for free.
Link: https://4kflim.online/en/movie/447277/the-little-mermaid Animated Film! Here are options for downloading or watching The Little Mermaid streaming the full movie online for free on 123movies & Reddit, including where to watch Disney's latest live-action adaptation movies at home. Is The Little Mermaid 2023 available to stream? Is watching The Little Mermaid on Peacock, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Netflix or Amazon Prime? Yes, we have found an authentic streaming option/service.
The new live-action 'The Little Mermaid' movie stars Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy. Make sure to keep on reading to learn where you can watch and stream it.
Folks, it's time to dive under the sea once again. Over the last few years, Disney has recreated their top animated musical films into live-action movies. The Little Mermaid is no different, and viewers can't wait to swim into theaters to catch a glimpse of how the movie will stand up against the original version.
Walt Disney Studios has established a remarkable trend of making live-action remakes of its classic stories. One after the other, all the fairytales of the past era are being brought to life by the studio in an attempt to tell the magical stories in a new light of living characters. With the live-action Peter Pan & Wendy due out in April, Disney will continue their string of live-action remakes a month later with The Little Mermaid.
Get ready to go "under the sea!" The latest of Disney's hugely successful line of live-action remakes, Ariel (Halle Bailey) is set to return to theaters for the first time in almost thirty-five years with The Little Mermaid (2023). The Walt Disney Company once again invites audiences to travel under the sea to see Princess Ariel's story unfold like never before. Featuring direction from veteran musical filmmaker Rob Marshall and other roles inhabited by major Hollywood stars like Melissa McCarthy as Ursula the Sea Witch and Javier Bardem as King Triton, the film is bound to be a bona fide hit at the box office.
Though the upcoming and highly anticipated film will have stiff competition against two stand-up comedians on the weekend it releases, The Little Mermaid is destined to show that life is better down where it's wetter under the sea this Summer movie season. To find showtimes and streaming information on Disney's latest big-budget reimagining of an animated classic, here is where you can watch The Little Mermaid.
Actress Halle Bailey as Ariel, the iconic mermaid princess who longs to be part of the the mysteriously world housed above the ocean floor. When she saves the handsome Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) from a shipwreck, she makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula (Melissa McCarthy) in order to gain human legs and go on land to impress him. But there's one catch to the transaction: Ariel must trade her voice in order for her to try and see the things she's after. But as fans of the original 1989 film know, this comes with a series of consequences that threaten both her existence and the lives of those she loves.
Before we ask if you're interested in seeing this, we know you are. But like us, you're probably wondering how to watch and stream The Little Mermaid online. Luckily, we have some clues and it's likely to land on a major streaming site very soon. So climb aboard, because here's where to watch and stream The Little Mermaid online.
What Is the Release Date for The Little Mermaid?
Ariel's quest to go from a mermaid into a human begins anew when The Little Mermaid premieres this Memorial Day Weekend on Friday, May 26th, 2023. The film will be going up against not one, but two stand-up comedians and their films that weekend, with Sebastian Maniscalco's About My Father and Bert Kreischer's The Machine premiering on the same day. That said, The Little Mermaid will almost certainly be the choice for younger audiences and families.
While some Disney films are heading straight to Disney+, The Little Mermaid will first be shown exclusively in theaters.
Where To Watch The Little Mermaid Online:
As of now, the only way to watch Fast X is to head out to a movie theater when it premieres on May 26, 2023. You can find a local showing on Fandango.
Watch Now: The Little Mermaid (2023) Movie Online Free
Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple, or become available to stream on Disney+.
How to Watch The Little Mermaid
At the moment, you can watch The Little Mermaid at your local theater. But like most movies these days, it should hit a streaming website in the near future.
Like its predecessor, The Little Mermaid is a flick produced by multimedia conglomerate Disney. What's more, the production studio owns a number of other famous franchises, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars. Titles made under these umbrellas have both hit Disney+ sometime after arriving at the box office. Fans may also know the original Little Mermaid is currently available to stream on the site as well. So, if the 2023 version follows the same pattern, folks will likely get to see The Little Mermaid on Disney+ later this year too.
As for an exact release date for The Little Mermaid, that's more complicated. Most movies produced by Disney often go to its streamer site within three months after debuting in theaters, like the most recent Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. If this is the case for The Little Mermaid, it will probably drop in late August 2023 or sometime near Labor Day in early September.
When the time comes for The Little Mermaid to splash onto Disney+ though, make sure you're all prepared to watch it. If you don't have access yet, you can opt into a 30-day free trial before choosing a plan that start at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. After your account is all set, click on the title page on Disney+'s official website or the Disney+ app.
As you wait for The Little Mermaid to hit the streamer, why don't you watch the animated version and its sequel The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea? Or if you want to immerse yourself in another live-action version, click on the 2019 ABC TV special The Little Mermaid Live!. Enjoy!
Will The Little Mermaid Be in Theaters or on Streaming?
Unlike several of Disney's other live-action remakes such as Pinocchio and Peter Pan & Wendy, The Little Mermaid will be exclusively in movie theaters first with tickets available for pre-sale now.
After The Little Mermaid has completed its exclusive theatrical run, the film will be released on the Disney+ streaming service. Based on Disney's past release models, the film won't be made available to stream before 45 to 90 days after its theatrical release.
When will The Little Mermaid be streaming on Disney+?
The Little Mermaid Disney+ premiere date is tentatively estimated to be August 30, 2023.
While no official Little Mermaid streaming date has been confirmed by Disney, most of its major movie releases drop on Disney+ following a minimum 90-day period, and typically premiere on the platform on Wednesdays, making Wednesday, August 30 the most likely date for Disney’s The Little Mermaid live-action streaming release.
Will The Little Mermaid Be Streaming On Disney+?
The 2023 version of The Little Mermaid will only be in theaters initially. After The Little Mermaid has completed its exclusive theatrical run, it is likely to stream on Disney Plus. You can also watch the animated version of Hans Christian Andersen's 1837 fairy tale of Ariel on Disney Plus now.
While you will only be able to catch the new "The Little Mermaid" in theaters starting next Friday, you can still sign up for Disney+ now to refresh yourself on the characters, song, plot and magical fun from the highly anticipated film. The 1989 version of the movie was a catalyst for Disney's animation renaissance throughout the '90s and it still holds up today.
An ad-supported Disney+ subscription starts at $8 per month, but you can get an ad-free access to the service for $11 monthly or bundle the Disney streaming service with Hulu and ESPN+ starting at $13 per month. Disney+ boasts a huge collection of movies and television series, including Marvel and Star Wars content. If you add in Hulu and ESPN, you have nearly unlimited entertainment at your fingertips.
Is The Little Mermaid streaming on Netflix?
No, The Little Mermaid will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available to stream on Disney+.
Will The Little Mermaid Be On HBO Max?
No, The Little Mermaid will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Is The Little Mermaid Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie The Little Mermaid on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.
How to Watch The Little Mermaid Online For Free?'
Most Viewed, Most Favorite, Top Rating, Top IMDb movies online. Here we can download and watch 123movies movies offline. 123Movies website is the best alternative to The Little Mermaid (2023) free online. We will recommend 123Movies is the best Solarmovie alternatives.
There are a few ways to watch The Little Mermaid online in the U.S. You can use a streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play. You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.
The Little Mermaid Cast and Characters
The Little Mermaid was written by David Magee and directed by Rob Marshall. It stars the following actors:
- Halle Bailey as Ariel
- Melissa McCarthy as Ursula
- Javier Bardem as King Triton
- Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina
- Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric
- Daveed Diggs as Sebastian
- Awkwafina as Scuttle
- Jacob Tremblay as Flounder
- Art Malik as Sir Grimsby
What is The Little Mermaid About?
The official synopsis for The Little Mermaid by Walt Disney Studios read:
“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.
There is not much mystery in The Little Mermaid's plot. As seen in Disney's many other live-action remakes, it is anticipated that the film's plot will largely stick to the original. With the well-known song "Part of Your World," in which Ariel sings about her wish to be a part of the world beyond the water, i.e., the human realm, the teaser already alluded to Ariel's fascination with the human world. Fans will get to see Ariel and Prince Eric's romance as they deal with the challenges posed by their differences.

2023.06.03 19:46 Separate-Mind-7852 Pharmacy Medication: Controlled
I'm a 40 year old, I live in South Florida (generally good health) and I maybe get 2-4 prescriptions a year. I was in a car accident two weeks ago in which I broke my back and tore every ligament known in my knee. I'm scheduled for surgery next month yet everyday is a struggle 10/10 in pain. My surgeon called in a script to Walgreens for Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10-325mg Tb. When my sister went that night to pick it up, the pharmacy tech said it wasn't ready as they were out of stock but will have it back in within 4 days. 4 days had passed and I called to see if it was filled and the pharmacy once again said it was out of stock and now they don't know when they will get more. They advised me to call another Walgreens location and see if they have it. That my doctor would have to cancel the one with them and call it into a new location. I ended up calling 4 more Walgreens within the vicinity of my home and all 4 said they were out of stock as well. After calling around and feeling irritated at this point I called my surgeon and he said he will call it into Publix. Now this morning I get a call from Publix stating they are not taking on any new patients with controlled meds as the DEA monitors them and they have their max number of patients. Looking for advice on what I should do at this point. I've never in my life experienced this kind of hassle to get a medication filled. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I or my surgeon should do?

2023.06.03 19:46 watak459 Carbon Tax question
Can someone explain to me the way carbon tax benefits me financially? so every business that relies on gas will inevitably need to raise prices on goods and services making it more expensive for me, the money I receive back in 3 quarterly payments comes out of my tax dollars. I need my car to get to work, I can't afford an electric vehicle, none of my coworkers live near me to carpool. Apparently this puts money back in my pocket instead of costing me? can someone break down in what way? lol. I'm just genuinely curious.

2023.06.03 19:46 Forsaken_Storm_4651 I'm (26M) struggling with long-term friend (23F) who broke up with me after one week of dating, unsure where to go from here?
I have been really good friends with this girl I knew in college for several years and we would constantly be texting each throughout the week keeping each other updated on our lives. Whenever we were in each others towns we would make a point to see each other and hang out which was wonderful. We wouldn't call super often, but would send lots of voice memos to each other telling about our days, funny stories, etc. I grew to really like her and we had so much in common and similar views on life that I wanted to let her know how I felt the next time I saw her. I was passing through her town a few weeks ago and we planned to get ice cream after she got off work. The night before, she texted me asking if I was open to making it a date. I was absolutely thrilled that she also felt something and called her to officially ask her and make it a date.
That evening having ice cream was amazing with both of us being open about our feelings that we both liked each other, both committed (though it would be long distance which she was a bit weary about but we talked it through that we would still see each other when we could but we also have our own lives so can balance both), but also open to seeing what happens either good or bad. She was saying how she feels so comfortable around me and really enjoys spending time with me (and same for me with her). I brought her flowers to the date and then when walking to her car in the empty parking lot, a romantic song was playing on the mall speaker so we danced in the parking lot together which was amazing. The next week I would be passing by again so we decided to go on a second date which we were both very excited for. That week in-between we were continually texting each other and things were going great.
On the second date, I picked her up from her house and we went to a nearby park and we had so much fun hiking, kayaking, I brought a picnic which we ate at the park, danced, and then we made it official to be in a relationship. We were both ecstatic and both saying how we see something together and want to see where it goes. We have many mutual friends in common and were looking forward to telling them that we were dating. We planned to see each other the weekend after and meet halfway where we lived. The week that followed went great with us texting throughout the day and then calling at night or on our drives home catching up on our days.
When we saw each other on the weekend, I could tell something was off since she seemed like an entirely different person than the previous two dates being very withdrawn and not as affectionate. This worried me since I thought something was wrong so after eating lunch in the park I asked her how the past week went and if there was anything we wanted to talk about since we both promised to be open and honest with each other. She said nothing was wrong and she had enjoyed it and after that she started warming up a bit more, though I wasn't fully convinced. After dinner we said goodbye and on my way home she called me saying she always wandered what would have happened if we dated, but didn't feel it anymore and wanted to be done. She was saying she values our friendship but lost feelings and then said she wanted to wait for a bit before we started talking to each other again.
I was (and still am) just absolutely blindsided, shocked, confused, feeling like a fool, and taken advantage of. She was saying all of these amazing things about me, saying she sees something with me, and then a week later feels nothing and cuts it all off. I said ok but was confused why she didn't want to bring it up in person since it felt like an in-person conversation and how I asked her about it during the day. She was apologizing since she knew she hurt me, but I was saying thank you for being honest and not stringing me along more than needed. I have received mixed signals from her and she has mentioned she is extremely indecisive which I don't think helped her thought process of overthinking. Though I feel like she didn't give me a chance and barely counts as dating (for a week!?!) and only went on 3 dates. I don't understand and am confused how she initiated and must have felt something, was saying she was very committed, and then took it all back and seems to want nothing to do with me. Neither of us have went on a date since our last relationships ended 3-4.5 years ago so it is definitely new territory both in the dating world and being friends for so long, but I don't know what went wrong. If it was something I said in the the first week (though we knew each other so well already I don't think it could have been anything), she realized she didn't want to do long distance, isn't ready to date yet, or just really doesn't like me romantically. I really want to reach out and talk to her and be friends again (I know it is too early), but it pains me how we had something so great and now it is all over. I don't know where to go from here and any advice, stories, guidance helps, thanks.
TLDR: Have been friends with a girl for several years and both liked each other. We finally went on a few dates and started dating but then a week later wants nothing to do with me. What should I do?

2023.06.03 19:46 Eldritch_Flame [PF2E][FoundryVTT][Wednesday][Saturday][CST-12:30PM][PAID] -- Experienced GM seeking both new and experienced players! Forming two groups for personalized homebrew setting/campaigns! -- [3-week trial period at (5$) per session. After that it's just (10$)!][2/10 slots open]
🌍✨Are you looking for a Collective Storytelling game using dice? What about a living semi-sandbox world that reacts to the choices and backgrounds of not only you but the group as a whole? Well than apply here:
https://forms.gle/DTQibvQMgbNa37NcA.✨🌍
Buuut...if you wanna be sold on it a bit more, keep reading.
Come join me in crafting an incredible adventure where possibilities are infinite with each roll of the dice. As Game Master, I'll personalize the world according to your group's preferences and decisions. Together, you will have to figure out how to move forward through difficult choices and potentially change the setting. There will also be plenty of fun opportunities - combat, puzzles, or just lighthearted banter. Don't worry if you're new - I'm happy to teach and guide you! Come with an adventurous spirit and open mind ready to explore a living world that will treat you like a part of it. So what are you waiting for? Let's go on an adventure!
🚩
((Basic questions and answers)) 🚩
~(what do you mean by personalized?)🎨 During session zero (and to a lesser extent throughout the whole game) I will be discussing with all the players in both groups what sort of campaign/setting that they want to play/explore in. As well as the sort of themes and goals they would enjoy personally as a player.
There will be a Google Form at the bottom of this thing (and at the top) that will have just under a dozen questions that will allow me to match players together that have compatible aspirations and expectations for the game.
~(5$ 3-week trial? Why charge at all?) 🤔 Fair question with two answers. One, people who are willing to jump over even a small monetary hurdle are way less likely to not show up to games regularly or be intentionally disruptive.
Two, it incentivizes me to be best I can be, as I can as well as enabling me to more easily afford things like
Dungeondraft or
Inkarnate to create custom maps or battles for you guys! Also I kinda need more food money lol.
~(What can I expect when we start?)👀 Well of course there is the aforementioned session zero will be the first order on the docket. Our starting point will be the Pathfinder 2E's
Beginner Box. I find the Beginner Box to be a genuinely good way to introduce players to both PF2E and
FoundryVTT so im gonna use it as a sorta jumping off point for the homebrew. (it also gives me time to work on the homebrew content since it will be customized to your group specifically)
🚩
((Basic requirements and social expectations)) 🚩
- Discord will be required for voice chat, and yes voice chat is required.💭
- FoundryVTT is the program we will be using as the games interface. Don't worry if your new to it, we'll figure it out together!🐉
- -Paypal is the payment method 💰.
- -Be kind to your fellow players and me! No bigotry, racism, ect, ect...😱
- -100% LGBT friendly!🏳🌈
- -Please remember your fellow players are people too. So don't be disruptive or intentionally mean to another player or I will drop you as a player. 💕
🚩
((Basic campaign/character info)) 🚩
- Milestone leveling system! (no need to worry about min-maxing exp. Allow for more freeform play where exploration and roleplay can be just as valuable to the group as combat.) ⚔
- We will be using standard Pathfinder gods/monsters/magic (aka Golarion). But my custom world will have minor tweaks to races/basic lore depending on what players are wanting from the campaign/themes of the setting.🌍
- Characters/backgrounds and the overall ideas and themes of the desired feel for the campaign/setting will be discussed as a group during session zero as well as some basic questions in the google form below! 👁
- Other addons like Free Archetype may be discussed at the end of the beginners box if players are interested!🐱🏍
🚩
((Google Application form!)) 🚩
The Form! This is basically half basic form and half personality quiz with pretty fantasy pictures. Please read anything in bold it's probably important!
Hope to start forming the groups as soon as this weekend and starting session zero next week!

Do you see us? Do you read us? Can you hear us? RA is waiting. But you ignore him. Everything felt wrong. Of course, piloting a Pegasus made you feel that, but at this point Echo thought he would be used to it. “Dawn, Mech status?”
“Mechs structure is fine, but the hull is banged up a bit.”
“And the Ushabti?”
“It’s still stable… for the most part.”
“Well, we better check in.” Echo opened themselves to the omninet, they felt around only feeling the six mechs around him. “Dawn… I Can’t” they stutter.
“Me too Echo. I can only feel us and the others.”
“How are the idiots in shard doing?” they stutter
“The Sisyphus responded with the whole I know everything, and nothing deal. And the Osiris was still in storage. And Lono was still singing.”
“At least one of them is still stored. Weapon and system status?”
“The Fusion Rifle is at 78% power. The Autogun is at full functionality. The Mimic gun is angry. The smoke mines and grenades are fully used up”
Echo got up and started to pull out a choker and a thermal pistol. They climb out of the cockpit and update their hair from dark black to a lighter brown with a green fade. Flexing their metal right arm and cybernetic left leg. It’s clawed toes scraping at the metal floor. “Let’s get out of Fragment, dawn.”
“Cap! It’s on fire and we need to leave! We are under attack! Come on!” Righ bolts up. His head is pounding, he shakes his head. “God where am I?” He walks over to his cockpit. “Better run a system check.” He mutters to himself. “let’s see, Thermal rifle at full power, Laser Rifle at 45% functionality?” “The prototype is at 35% functionality?” “Apocalypse rail at 100%. Hull at 32% Structure at 75%! Shit shit shit!”
He springs up faster than a man at his weight should. He downs his heavy hardsuit. As his helmet locks into his main suit, he grabs his handheld printer ready to do basic repairs. As he climbs down to the modified storage room he sees the stored mech suit is banged up a little but not so much that Echo would kill him.
As he climbs out the storage hatch, he notices three things; one that is a hole the size of him in his mechs left side. Two the air is breathable. And third that the stars are not the same as the ones he last saw. “Well, where are we, and how do we get here?” he asked to no one in particular.
“Piper you can’t keep doing this!” “I have too!” “You don’t and you know this!” “See you later Pip.” Pip is in pain. He feels himself being pulled to sleep by the pain. He grabs around his cockpit until he feels his medicine bag. He feels through it until he feels one of his stims. Pulling it out,.
“Kick huh. That works.” He mumbles. He injects it feeling is body burn for a few moments as his body forces it’s self-wake. “Oh, that hurt. Oh, that always hurts.” He sits up leaning in his seat.
“let’s see. Vijaya rockets silo full. Charged blade at 36% power. Need to charge that. And the Variable sword as normal is at 100%. Fade cloak ready. Hunter logic online. Singularity contended ready to be exposed. EVA auto powered off. Planet side huh. Jump jet at 29%. Powering that off to prevent more damage. Flight system ready for action. Heat levels low. Reactor stress... high. Ok, need to get Echo to fix that. Oh, I am rambling to myself again.”
He sighs and pulls out a dagger and rifle. Pulling out an armored hardsuit he puts it on. Clicking his medicine bag to the outside sheathing his dagger and holstering his rifle. He climes out of his mechs cockpit and into the open air. The sky smells of ozone as he sees Echo get out the belly of their mech and Righ is using his handheld printer to repair his mech piece by piece. ‘Well Wind. Let’s deal with this” he whispers to himself.
-----{
Two hours later}-----
That looks unstable. Are you sure that is going to work? Oh, dear that’s gone all so wrong. “Righ your mechs internal systems are low. Your stabilizers are jammed, along with your Flak launcher targeting systems being offline.” Dawn’s ‘voice’ coming from his suits comms.
“We can work on that when I don’t have a hole in my mech. This is going to take a while to repair.” He grumbled “We only have my handheld printer right now so we can’t do much at the moment.”
There’s a crashing sound as the smell of burning plastic and flesh starts to drift downwind.
“Can Basher move or is the hole to much?” Pip called to Righ
“They can move but a bit slower.” Righ responded.
“I think we should check that out. There are people at crashes. Could tell us where we are.” Echo said.
“Everyone suit up and get ready. We are moving out. Prepare for potential hostiles. Echo, you go after me, Righ your last.” Pip called out. As everyone climes up into their mechs they start to see the smoke rise as unfamiliar screams sound in the distance. “Update hostiles almost confirmed. Prepare for combat.” Dawns ‘voice’ calls from the mech intercoms.
-----{
One hour later}-----
As the mechs come over a hill they see a crashed ship with human and strange bodies everywhere. “Those aren’t all human. But they got weapons.” Pip stated.
“No shit Pip. What are those?” Echo says as one of their mechs four clawed talons reaches up and points to reptilic humanoids eating the bodies. The reptilic humanoids notice them and start to point weapons at them.
“Well shit. Time for combat.” Righ activates his stabilizers only for an error message to pop up. “Shit. Well, no rail today.” He climbs out of his mech as the things start to fire at him. Pulling out a scope he reads their distance at about 120 feet. He dashes back to the cockpit. “Out of range they are 120 feet out. Counting 60 hostiles” He calls out.
“Understood! firing Mimic Gun!” echo shouts over the intercoms as the flat rounded face of their mech pulls apart as an ever-changing weapon emerges from the split in the face. It fires a bolt that explodes on contact with the ground.
When the dust clears seven bodies lie on the ground. The mech runs 30 feet closer to the hostiles. The mechs back armor opens up revealing a spine like object with what looks like nerves coming off deeper into the mech and a blackhole appears over a disk shape at the back of the mech as it fires a bolt of something killing one of the hostiles. A different gun raises from the spine, fires and folds back in the spine as two more bodies fall. “Nine hostiles down 51 to go.”
“Loading Rail, Pip your up.” Righ broadcasts.
Wind runs 70 feet towards the hostiles as they start to flicker before disappearing appearing next to the hostiles instantly. They slice at the things with an impossibly thin blade that’s now covered in red blood. As two bodies fall over. They slash with a thick blade that was in its sheath a moment ago as six hostiles fall over sparking from the energy that just ran through them. Two rockets fire from its shoulder and two of them explode. The mech holds the thick blade in a guarding pose. “17 down.”
The hostiles move as one get slashed from the mech. They fire and Wind just takes it. They then charge 40 feet at Basher and Fragment. Wind looks scratched. “19 down.”
“Ejecting, mechs locked down.” Righ says before as they jump out with a mini gun and their heavy hardsuit, a large sword clamped on his back. They walk 20 feet closer to the hostiles. They start unloading the mini gun at the hostiles killing two before stopping and holding his ground.
Fragments runs 30 feet at the hostiles. The mimic gun fires killing four more in an explosion. And then a fourth gun unfolds from the belly of fragment shooting a bolt of lightning frying two of the hostiles. “27 hostiles down 33 to go. Opening the Eye of Horus. I SEE EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING SEES ME!” echo screams.
Wind flickers and reappears in the middle of the hostiles. Before slashing eight of them with the thin blade as they pick them apart with expert detail. They slash with the thick sword missing. As two rockets fire and hit two of them. “37 down.”
Righ moves 30 feet closer as he unloads his mini gun, killing six of them. He prepares to hold his ground. The hostiles charge the last 30 feet between them. As the hostiles start to slash at him, they can’t breach his armor. Two of them shoot him but it misses. He pulls out his sword and cuts through them. Killing three. “that’s forty!”
Fragment moves into the hostiles. The gun reemerges from Fragments spine as all four guns unload killing eight more. Fragment’s legs are coated with blood as Echo is cackling. Wind’s thin blade flicks as four more fall as three rockets fire killing three more. The last five of the things fall to Righs blade.
“That’s all of them. Let’s take ten and look at that ship.” Righ called. He turned around as the mech lifts it’s hand as he starts doing repairs on the armor. Pip climbs out of Wind and starts cleaning the blades of blood. Echo quiets his cackling as he climbs out and starts looking at the bodies.
“These things are alien, same with their tech. It’s all code me and Dawn can’t make sense of.” Echo starts fiddling with some of the weapons on the bodies. “Looks like their claws and teeth are their main weapons, the guns are an afterthought.”
“Can you not pick at the dead Echo?” Pip mumbles.
“Nope. By the way your blade is out of power.”
“Already knew that.” Pip grumbles as he starts climbing back into Wind. “let’s look at the ship and then we can deal with our mechs. Don’t want to get jumped by more of those things.”
“I agree. The faster we are the sooner we can find survivors.” Righ climbs back into Basher as the mech starts to turn to the ship.
“I still want to mess with the bodies.” Echo mumbled as he climbed back into Fragment. All the guns sunk back into Fragment as the back armor closes up, and the split in the face seals. The group starts to run to the crashed ship.
Wind appears next to the ship. Pip climbs out and starts to check the non-eaten bodies. Fragment arrives as Echo ejects out landing on the top of the ship. Basher arrives and picks up a small part of the wreak. There’s a creaking sound as the area where Echo is standing falls.
“Found survivors. Or more of I fell into survivors.” Echo’s voice rings over Pip’s and Righ’s comms.

2023.06.03 19:44 AutoModerator Here's Where To Watch The Little Mermaid Online For Free Streaming On REDDiT

2023.06.03 19:44 Zealousideal_Alps500 I think instacart finally died...
Thought I could make some extra weekend money. Shopper app shows stores near me that are busy, I post up in Costco parking lot which says 1-5 minutes to get batches. 30 minutes go by and I'm left only with the decision to leave because it's hot af outside and I can't leave my car running a whole hour. Yesterday I managed to make an ok amount but was dealing with the same crap. Hour wait for a mediocre batch! So glad I'm not relying on it full time anymore, but damn has this app gotten more and more trash the longer I have it.
Anyone having a good Saturday or is this same crap across the board right now?

2023.06.03 19:44 kim_jung_un-007 Seeking advice on car insurance in Switzerland
Hello everyone, I need some advice on choosing a car insurance.
I have a used car that is worth less than 7k and I want to get a basic car insurance (liability + partial casco). I used Comparis to compare the offers from different insurers such as ELVIA by Allianz, Baloise, TCS, Zurich etc.
However, when I checked their ratings on Trustpilot, I found that they all have many negative reviews. I don’t know who to trust.
Can anyone please recommend me a reliable car insurance and what coverages to look for? For example, do I need bonus protection or personal effects?
I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you very much.

2023.06.03 19:44 omkar73 Profile Evaluation for Masters in Chemistry
Hye everyone I am a student from India planning to apply for masters/phd chemistry programs abroad for fall '24.
Many top US colleges do not offer a direct masters in chemistry, instead offering a PHD. I know PHD is much more about my fit with my potential advisor and the lab I will work in, but I have also seen that prestige and other stuff matter too.
I wish to know if my profile is competitive enough to apply to the top universities for masters/phd in chemistry, I will be applying with a focus on theoretical chemistry and ML/AI.
Here is my profile:
BTech Chemical Science and Technology from IIT Guwahati. CGPA - 9.01/10
Department Rank 1
Branch Representative
Have taken around 15-20 Chem courses with 10/10 grades in all except 2.
Have taken electives like optimization, biotech electives, and CS courses.
Awards: Institute Merit Scholarship where the fee gets refunded to the department rank 1 of that branch.
Research:
2 months in National Chemical Laboratory - Could not get very fruitful work there much as I was still at the end of my 2nd year and had no experience.
6 months under a prof at UNSW. Got 1 ML paper (pending approval at a mid tier journal)
6 Months at Central Food Tech Institute, worked in Computational Biology/Chemistry - Will get 2 papers out in the next 2 months

Project in DFT/Molecular Mechanics - (Yet to start, will be my final year)
A collaborative project with a huge herbal product manufacturing company near my college. We proposed insights and testing for how to dispose their waste effectively.
2 projects in Optimization - 1 in scheduling algorithms, did not publish a paper, but did enough work for one, other one was in optimization for route delivery systems.
1 project in ML for text summarisation applications
1 project in Game Development where we made a 3D model of the entire campus for players to roam around in and play.
GRE: Havent given yet, but am confident that I will get 320+ (plan to give once before the pattern change)
LORs: 1 from prof at UNSW with whom I had 1 paper, 1 from University (Close professor, has helped me connect with professors too), 1 from intern.
I have some strong extracurriculars but they are not related to chem at all.
My main issue is that my profile does not look very chem focused. Please help me and let me know what schools I can aim for, and whether its worth applying to the ivies/any top schools.
