I Think Himeko's Kit is great but the numbers are low and are really low for a conditional DPS. I love this game so far as I am a sucker for turn based games and I already love how most starter 5*s are usable...except Himeko, but usable I am saying in a competitive usage standpoint. Here's What I would suggest if they reworked Himeko (I don't have Himeko BTW and wouldn't want her unless she is stronger than she is):
Basic Attack:
- Nothing, Keep the Same or Maybe Some Trace Effect like Asta

Talent/Follow-Up (Might Be a Bad Suggestion as this Would Indicate Her as Nihility but Other Characters Like Asta Has This Trace, So Maybe Make it a Trace Instead?):
- 30% More Damage than What it Currently Does
- Adds a Burn Stack that Can Be Stacked up to 4 Times. Each Stack of Burn Does 40% Fire DMG scaled on Himeko's ATK.

Skill (Again, Might be a Bad Idea):
- 15%-25% More Damage than What it Currently Does
- Adds Burn to Selected Target, Not Adjacents, but Extra Damage to Any Units Hit Under Burn Effect Stack and Can Scale on Stacks Maybe? (That Part Sounds OP, so maybe not...)

Ultimate:
- 40%-50% More Damage than What it Currently Does
- Reduce the Current Toughness by 50% on All Targets No Matter the Weakness, Cannot Break but Lowers the Toughness for Others.

Traces (Throwing A Few Out There):
- 1st/3rd Trace: Follow Up Attack Reduce Current Toughness by 20%.
- 2nd Trace: (Already Good).
- 1st Trace: Increase Burn Stack DMG or Increase Stack Amount.
- ? Trace: Killing an Enemy Increases Energy by 10. If Elite is Killed Energy Increases by 35.

Light Cone:
- (More Mobs, More Damage Effect is Good Even if it is ATK Scaling and Not DMG Scale)
- (Weakness Break Boosts DMG Effect is Good Too, but Make it 2 Turns...I Hate 1 Turn Effects, but whatever is Better)
- Increase Toughness Break Efficiency by 12% (Scales by 2% Per Superimpose)
- (Optional) Weakness Break 20% Increase (Scales by 5% Per Superimpose)

Hey guys!
Just stated playing with my kiddoes... was just doing some practice (for us both!!) battle one on one my son and a couple things I wasn't clear on.
In the starter kit monster guide, looking at Goblin, it says Hit Points 7 (2d6). First part is obvious, but what is the d6 reference? With a scimitar, Goblin says +4 to hit -- why would it not be just + STR or DEX? It goes on to say Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage. I get the damage, but what is the 5? Is a hit with a scimitar not just d8 + finesse (DEX or STR) modifier?
I had a scenario where he comes across a sleeping bad guy. How is this normally tackled? I had him roll with advantage to hit... is that fair, or is there a more common tactic?
Finally, I managed to kill him (ha ha) and we ran through the death saving throws. He was successful... the manual says this puts you stable at 0 HP. Are you not already at 0 HP when doing the the death saving throws?

I’ll try to keep this short even though there was nothing short about it. A week ago my wife said my JD Z425 mower wouldn’t start. I thought no big deal, I rarely get a year out of those batteries. I replaced the battery but the starter just made a whining noise. Sometimes it would engage and start and sometimes it wouldn’t. As I was waiting for the starter to come in my wife said the mower was backfiring.
I bought the prepackaged tuneup kit from John Deere. It has everything for oil changes, air and fuel filter and new plugs. I installed the new starter, changed oil, filers and plugs (I did check the plug gap). The new starter is fine but it was still backfiring. After trying a bunch of things I removed the fuel and put fresh fuel in and eureka it worked.
The issue I had is it now starts very hard, 20-30 cranks. After 4 hours of checking everything I am smart enough to do (that’s not much)I put in the old plugs and everything works like new.
Is there such a thing as bad plugs from the factory?

First, I would like to thank Professor Skardi for inviting me to speak to you. I trust you have all been enjoying “Forms of the Formative.”
I have three purposes in my lecture: to explain the differences between Narhetsikobon and Boturomenji, to trouble the tripartite division of Tritonean pottery which I’m sure Prof Skardi has instilled in you, and to demonstrate how that by reading objects as texts we can learn much and more about those who came before us.
As you can see before me, I have brought three ceramic pieces to show you. The first is a fine example of the Middle Pottery Complex.
This was likely manufactured in Konuthomu, and was recovered there. It probably dates to the early 700s AD. It is of course celadon, this creamy white interior indicates that it was a wine bowl. It is generally believed that the white interior was favoured for wine because it better shows the colour. A white bottomed bowl keeps cranberry wine, for example, looking bright and red. A celadon interior would leave the contents looking muddy, maybe purplish.
The celadon is covered with hundreds of small cracks in the glaze which cast a naturalistic and spontaneous air to the pot. Similarly, the landscape sprouting from the foot of the pot would have been painted on over a port which has already been painted with celadon. A feldspar heavy glaze, it’s unclear which one, was used in order to create this tarnished brass effect. If one looks closely, you might also notice that the drawings are slightly raised. That is because the two glazes form a shared structure in firing.
The pot was built using pinch and coil methods, but the potter had a delightful eye for symmetry. We know that the pot was manufactured both by and for the Duck Clan. There is a pictograph on the bottom of the foot marking the clan of origin, and the flock of ducks in flight over paddies and willows would only be appropriate on a wine bowl of Duck Clan. Otherwise it would be like wearing a monographed shirt with the wrong initials!
A brief excursion on the site. Konuthomu of course was dominated by two clans, Duck and Kingfisher, and the city reflects this. They both possessed large palace complexes, in the Arhadan style, divided by a main avenue which stretched from temple to marketplace.
Beneath their respective palaces, dense networks of houses, workshops, and kilns developed. These were the cores of pottery production. The vast majority of pottery artefacts from Konuthomu are marked with duck or kingfisher: even those clearly for elite use by the other clans.
All in all, this is what you’d expect from the object. It is clearly Middle School Kemiithātsan.
Any questions on object one?
We now come to object two.
This pot is clearly a representative of the Northern Pottery Complex.
The first difference is in the form. This exemplar of the Northern Complex has higher, vertical walls and two handles. Compare this to the shallower, more continuously sloped walls of object one.
Object two also, is unfortunately chipped around its lip. Thankfully, these chips do not interfere with the design. And what a design it is.
I hope that even those of you in the back can see it, but this red-brown, almost mahogany glaze has the most beautiful colour. It’s not as flashy as celadon, but it captures the light most marvellously and looks like nothing as much as blood.
This pot is also, of course, far more elaborately decorated. It was likely manufactured in Narhetsikobon, again sometime in the 700s.
I’ll first describe the details before expounding on what this can reach us about life in Narhetsikobon.
In lustrous black, a highly stylized man is depicted jumping or vaulting over a bucking bull’s horns. It forms a delightful crescent shape, presumably intended to evoke the moon. On the obverse, the icon instead fill a circle: the man slaughters or sacrifices the bull in a surprisingly tender and evocative fashion. One side evokes the first crescent, the beginning of the Kemithātsan month and time for feasts to Progenitor Spirits—assuming you accept Dr Kandaro’s claim that key elements of the Kemithātsan calendar date back to this early in the Formstive. The other side evokes the full moon, when the Kemithātsan Moon or Sky Father was celebrated.
Between these principle icons we find twin falcon sigils grasping spears. This pot was almost certainly for elite use, perhaps dedicated to a successful young prince in bullfighting.
This pot tells us much about the broader social structure of Narhetsikobon. While many clans were present in the city, only Falcon Clan held political power. It’s in the name: the place where the falcon roosts, kobon comes from kobu for falcon. This is partly why Narhetsikobon is occasionally, and largely erroneously, called Tritonea’s first monarchy. It is true that one, the most famous, Falcon Clan bloodline made up the entirety of the Council of Matriarchs: with the positions granted to married women of the family. It is also true that only the husbands of these matriarchs were appointed Inner and Outer Chiefs. However, they were still appointed. There would typically be between 5-8 husbands suitable for these positions, and they would rotate between them depending on who the Council decided to appoint.
The pictographic marker on the foot is no longer eligible, but it is clear that it is not that of Falcon Clan. This thus makes us think that it is likely that craftsmen of a prince’s birth-clan produced this pot as part of his wedding gifts into Falcon Clan. Of course, this is speculation, but it seems likely.
Such an inference has implications as well: while Falcon Clan held a monopoly on political authority in Narhetsikobon, many clans possessed economic strength and in turn competed to produce suitable marriage partners for Falcon Clan.
It’s also worth noting how the glaze is relatively flat. It appears as though the glazes were both painted on separately: the pictorial decoration was core part of the design from the beginning, rather than being added to an elsewise finished product.
The bullfighting motifs are also noteworthy. Narhetsikobon holds the earlier formal bullrings in Tritonea, and by the 700s a large, stone and earth ampitheatre was in use, dug out of the side of the ridge which hosted Narhetsikobon’s Themilanan.
The spear in turn reflects to militarization of this period. The commoners of Falcon Clan functioned primarily as soldiers, extracting taxes and tribute and participating in the near constant conflict with Boturomenji, to whom we turn with the next object.
Before moving on, let’s summarize object two as a perfect and instructive example of the Northern School. Figurative art, handles, and red glazes are the core features.
We come now to object three. By show of hands, who here thinks this is a Middle School wine bowl? Who here thinks this is a Northern School wine bowl?
Those of you who said Middle, why?

So, the glazes are more reminiscent of the middle school: a beautiful celadon finish, creamy white interior.
Those of you who said Northern, why?

TALK ABOUT FIGURATIVE REPRESENTATION AS A TYPICAL FEATURE OF THE NORTHERN SCHOOL
So yes, the form is more similar to that of the northern school—particularly with the twin handles.
And also, the figurative aspects are extensive.
So, we have a beautiful celadon vessel shaped like that of the Northern School. I don’t know if it’s clear from where you’re sitting, but if you look at these black bands, they contain pictographs, telling Arhada Proverbs—this one here reads“Wine and proverbs - for each season in life, there is an appropriate one.” These bands are both raised off the main surface of the pot (painted on with slip likely), and were painted individually and without a celadon under-coat in black glaze.
If you look between the two proverb-bands—a common feature of Boturomenji pottery, where this was manufactured—you can see scenes of birds (heron and ibis principally) in zizania fields feasting on fish. Willows and fruit trees are scattered around as well, and the whole piece presents a shockingly complete picture when one looks closely. It really feels like it’s representing a pond or paddy as one walks around it.
This main-image is again painted on with slip first. Then, a deeper-green celadon was painted on the raised protrusions. This appears to mimic the effects of the double-glaze layering of the Middle School designs. It is also possible that the lighter celadon glaze of the body’s background was painted on first, and then a thin layer of a second glaze was painted for the raised image.
The highlight of this piece, however, is of course its handles. The handles at their base reflect the roots of a tree, most likely oaks, and they transform into trunks as they continue up and curve. As they curve in towards the body of the vessel, wings emerge from the handles. They are flat against the handle, but remain raised, clearly defined protuberances. The handle, now traveling horizontal, then concludes in the head and front hoofs of a bison. The forelegs are separated from the handle proper, and are shockingly detailed. The bison’s head, although partially obscured by the legs, is also fully fleshed. The main is full and intricately ruffled, while the eyes, brow, and mouth are all clearly defined. The nose front of the snout is then of course shoved against the vessel’s body and is where the handle is fastened. The horns of the bison, in turn, curl up and away from the head, although we are missing two of those horns and one leg from the vessel. These handles are of course in the shape of Kēhisenji, protector spirits who take the form of winged bison. This iconography is everywhere in Formative Tritonea. If any of you end up archeologists in Tritonea, fair warning, you’ll find a tonne of beautiful artifacts, but so many of them will end up being of Kēhisenji.
So as I’ve said before, this piece was manufactured in Boturomenji. The iconography, interestingly, does not evoke any specific clan. However, it was manufactured by Sparrow Clan, as indicated by the pictograph on its base. Boturomenji of course was governed by eight relatively equal clans. Although it is worth noting that there was a strong divide between the famous of these clans and the non-famous. This is aided by describing Boturomenji’s geography. I quote from Senisedjehonu’s seminal work, Ancient Tritonean Cities,

“Boturomenji was a sprawling city built around a lengthy, marshy bay covered by paddies. Six streams flow into the bay. Eight large, earthen mounds were present holding the clan-halls and palaces of the famous of the respective clans, with dense mazes of mudbrick houses, kilns, and workshops huddling around the mounds and climbing their slopes. Pseudo-causeways connected the mounds, and each mound had a marketplace at their base. On a small island in the middle of the, temples and shrines were located. Each of the six streams also had a navigable channel and a small docking area near their base.”

This divide with the palaces on the top of the mounds belonging to the famous, and those clustered around and on the slopes of the mounds belonging to the commoners, was reflected in marriage and governance. The famous of one clan would marry the famous of another.
But the lack of clan-specific iconography likely reflects a desire not to offend or boast when treating the famous of other clans. By instead evoking symbols of the Lake Spirit and other local spirits, a more general message of prosperity and fertility is expressed.
This cup also appears to be dedicated to the consumption only of zizania wine. The images on it reflect zizania, while other bowls show crabapple, cranberry, maple, and more. The proverbs also imply that wine should be segregated by type and season, and it follows that bowls would be.
The bowl tells a story, it paints a scene. The figures are central to the bowl. This directly mirrors object two: the figurative images tell a story and depict a message. This is central to Northern School pottery, to which this piece belongs. Meanwhile, the landscape we saw on object one was merely decorative, it framed the celadon.
Object three is classed as belonging to the Northern School, but it has strong resonances with Middle School pottery. This reminds us that these supposedly separate categories are in fact fluid. They exist along a continuum and influenced each other. Remember, the Middle School includes both Kemithātsan and Arhadan communities—existing along a continuum.
We like to construct binaries, or trinaries, as academics. But these dichotomies are always connected. Let me finish the first half of the lecture the way the formative Kemithātsan would, with a parable.
There was a perfect city: rich and gardened, but falcon grew too proud, he flew too high (the different versions of the parable elaborate on this in different ways). Eventually, the other birds either got jealous or had to put an end to his dangerous ways (again, depending on the version). Exiled, the falcon established his own city across the bay. The perfect city in turn floundered and had to go establish a new city—either for the injustice of exiling falcon, or because falcon stole something important from the city.
The two cities in turn express eternal enmity.
This is of course the myth detailing the split between Narhetsikobon and Boturomenji.
We have fragments of at least two versions of the myth, as well as some murals and mosaics which seem to further tell its tale. It also appears to be the base for a similar Kacätsan allegory in Scroll 11.
And the objects reflect their differences.
The vessel from Narhetsikobon evidences a city where bullfighting and martial prowess are central, and where falcon, or KobuThonu, Falcon Clan, dominates. Figurative depictions exalt individual prowess and the dominant clan.
The bowl from Boturomenji evidences a city where a delicate balance between clans is maintained through practices and manners. Mutual respect and ties between the famous of the eight clans was necessary in order to preserve stability.
While Narhetsikobon is notable for armed tax collectors, Boturomenji is notably for its organization of paddy construction.
The differences continue, yet they grow from the same soil. Just like how all Ancient Tritonean Pottery remains, fundamentally, Tritonean.
We’ll now take a five minute break. When we return, I’ll talk about what archeology from objects can teach us methodologically, and how you can apply it in your own research.

Spyderco Sage 5 Lightweight Titanium - Scales were made by Parsons Bladeworks. I bought this one on the swap and then modded it by flame anodizing the hardware and the scales. They use grade 5 titanium which has some impurities in it which lead to a less colorful entropic anodizing but a very cool “industrial” like finish. Very happy with the mods on this one so I would not be sad to see it not sell. However if the price is right I could dry my tears with money I suppose. At least second owner, great condition, I believe it is not cut or carried. SV 275
SOLD Modded Spyderco Lil Native - Grabbed this one on the swap as well. The previous owner told me it was acid washed. Well I am not sure who did it but they did an awesome job. Nice and dark. The really interesting mod done on this is the grind down the entire spine (including backspacer) which was ground down to resemble stone. The blade was resharpened after that work done to it (kind of has to be after acid washing as I understand it) but they did a good job on that too. Feels like a nice edge though I never cut with it to preserve its beauty. This is a backlock version of the Lil Native. SV 165 SOLD
Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Copper Shipwreck - very good centering, has a copper plug in place of the lanyard hole for those who are not into lanyards. Satin finish blade in very good condition. I am the second owner so I cannot say for sure there were no cuts but as you can see in the video I can’t find any signs of usage. Nice dark blue shipwreck with small bits of shiny copper coming through. Handsome knife no doubt. No box on this one. SV 235
Spyderco Smock Brass Shipwreck - I am the second owner and wanted to experiment with this one. These brass scales were laser engraved from DNALasering in a floral pattern. There was some type of ink highlighting the engraving but that came off when using ammonia to get this patina. The scroll-work, leaves, and vines still show through the corrosion. Makes me think of plants growing from an abandoned building. Second detent is removed and long gone RIP. From the person I bought it from: “This knife was carried quite a bit and shows some wear on the blade. It was resharpened on a workshop precision Elite, but I can't remember to what angle.” Well they did a fantastic job sharpening it because I was about to say “no cut” until I consulted my notes. They made it look like new on that Worksharp! I have a beat up Smock box I can send it in but it doesn’t have the papers sorry. SV 210
Spyderco Shaman Copper Shipwreck - Absolute tank of a knife. It was already big and heavy and the copper scales add another 3 ounces. Big knife that is great for people with big hands tired of feeling like they are holding a toothpick when they need to slice and dice. One of my first shipwrecks and I’d love to see it go to a good home. Solid centering. Never been carried or cut with. Has original box and original Spydie Shaman leaflet. SV 375 (or just shipwrecked copper scales SV 160)
Spyderco Native Chief St. Nick’s Exclusive - Picked this up on the swap, second owner. Deep crimson scales from St. Nick’s Knives compliment the black DLC coated blade, sweet color scheme. The long thin blade does not appear to have any scratches at all and the scales are very clean too. Pocket clip shows a little wear so I believe this was carried. Reminds me a bit of a stiletto in essence. No box, comes in a sweet black pouch though. Has not been disassembled by me (nor previous owner I don’t think). SV 195
Spyderco Shaman DLC - Shaman with black g10 scales and a blacked out DLC coated blade. I am the second owner. Very good condition, I have never cut or carried it and don’t think the person I bought it from did either. Comes with the box and the Shaman Spydie pamphlet. SV 225
Two CRKT Pilars Copper Shipwrecks - two knives beautifully designed by the brilliant Jesper Voxnaes. The left one has a more standard shipwreck style, right one was left in about 5 times as long and got a lot darker because of it. I want to note that both of them have Loctite on the 2 body screws. I was frustrated when taking them apart to do the shipwreck that they were Loctited in the first place from the factory, but when I put them back together I got why. Dunno why but they would not stay put otherwise. Left is nicely centered but the right blade very slightly leans to the show side, doesn’t seem to scrape the copper though (dark one also has a small amount of blade play or side-to-side wiggle). Neither carried or cut. Both have original CRKT boxes. SV 110 for the lighter color shipwreck and SV 85 for the darker one
TwoSun Titanium Sidewinder - I did not do the entropic anodizing on this one, I believe it came from the factory that way. Second owner. It was a bit stiff when I got it so I opened it up and cleaned it really well and lubed with KPL (all knives I have disassembled including shipwrecks are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and then lubed with KPL) Really cool knife! Centering leans very slightly to the show side. SV 80
WE Blitz in blue and black - Second owner and there are a few smudges on black cerakote part of the blade. From the person I bought it from, “Super slick, awesome knife for an EDC, with an overall length of 7.875”, blade length of 3.375”. The handle scales are textured G10 with a super grippy milling pattern and two tone finish, blade is VG10 with a cerakote finish on the main bevel and spine.” I’d call it a user in good shape. Drops shut with a little bit of wiggling. Comes in a Kizer zipper pouch (box was lost I guess, came to me this way) with the 2 WE stickers, WE cloth, and original WE leaflet. Has not been disassembled by me. SV 75
Kizer Mini Sheepdog Deadpool - Really crisp red color of the scales (which I think are anodized aluminum) work really well with the black coated blade of this “Deadpool” color schemed Mini Sheepdog. As you can see in the video it has a flipper tab and a linerlock, my personal favorite combo for Sheepdog styles (please note that this is the MINI Sheepdog, not regular or xl). Smooth action. SV 65
Vero Engineering Synapse Mini Walnut - This is the Synapse MINI (not regular or xl). Beautifully shaped walnut wood scales fit into this thing like a dream. Very clean little knife. Comes with pouch, Vero cloth, and certificate of authenticity. SV 250

A little bit about my work, thought I would save this for last since most people just want to see the listings and not read a novel. When doing a shipwreck I try to leave some spots of the metal exposed because I think it looks cool when there are flakes shining through all the beautiful chaotic patterns of forced patina. Each piece is sprayed twice with polyurethane clearcoat to preserve the patina and metal, it also gives the nice bonus of not making your hands smell like copper when you handle your knife (a lot of people seem to dislike the smell of copper). Should be a little something for everybody in here, lots of variations and each piece is one of a kind!

Who else would be down to see parallel versions of the standalone starter deck Investigators?
I think it'd be interesting to see a version of NaCho that moved away from Boxing Gloves/Spirit Events and played into his criminal backstory. Maybe focusing on Illicit, but with a damage vibe or, going the other way, encourage him as a gambling fighter, using Rogue gambling cards to power his events.
Regarding Harvey, I think having him maybe switch classes and have access to Spells, being a draw-based Mystic, would be very interesting. Particularly if they could find a way to restrict him from typical Seeker tools and maybe focus him on Spell events.
Regarding Winni, I think it'd be interesting to see a version that used Spirit or Ritual cards (possibly restricting Illicit cards?!?) and emphasized her indigenous heritage in flavor text, particularly after a discussion with a family member (Dakota) regarding their interpretation of her as a member of the First Nations. (The Rogue class, cigarette and alcohol references in cards included in her pack, and mentions of her troublemaking nature were construed as being insensitive.) I think having her be a better representation of The People, possibly showing how she follows the Rituals and shows the great Spirit of her people, would make for an interesting Parallel interpretation and open up new combinations.
Regarding Jacqueline, I think having a dash of Rogue tricks would be interesting, to possibly represent her being a "fraudulent" psychic in the Parallel Arkham. Another idea would be to have her switch classes, ala Harvey, and be a good detective (Seeker), posing as a psychic. You could think of her parallel as a Shawn Spencer (from Psych) type, using logic, rather than sorcery, to control the chaos bag.
Finally, regarding Stella Clark, I think a version emphasizing the Deep One connection, possibly with replacement cards for her OG kit would be cool. (Her flavor text leads me to believe someone (or thing) from Innsmouth wants her to pay a visit...Trait wise, Cursed comes to mind, though I think Parallel Wendy covers that. Maybe giving her access to 0-2 Guardian events (and/or skills) to represent the physical change she's undergoing? (they could change the art to make her look more fish like and like she's trying to hide her changes to Survive in society)
Those are my thoughts, what are yours?
(To be clear, I am super down for a Parallel Dunwich, before, simultaneously, or after this idea would be implemented, but these are some ideas I had after discussions with others to open up the single classes. Regarding Dunwich, I primarily want a Jim update! He's one of my favorites and I'm so sad I can't get him to work better...)
(EDIT: I realize that any class changes would nullify the mix and match nature of the Parallel series. One idea is that for this set, just as the OG Standalones are Single Class, the Parallels are all or nothing regarding the Investigator card sides. Another is that when a transitioned Gator mixes card sides, the Class on the card front is the Gator's class for card purposes.)

What am I supposed to do with this. I am just trying to change my graphics to fast and fix the Hud. >-< Please Help.

Hi, I posted a while ago about building and painting the starter kit . It went very well. It went so well I got adventurous well for me anyway :D and purchased the Hellblasters Primaris and I've started to build them using sub-assembly but there is one small part I am not sure about I am about to Prime the legs and chest piece read for the base coat but I am not sure what to do about the slot where the head goes. Do you know the opening at the top? Am I ok to prime and base coat everything inside even where I glue the head? I know it might sound daft but I am worried if I paint there, especially in the spot where the head goes that I wouldn't be able to place the head correctly anymore.
