This was really something. I've never seen a person have this much difficulty with something so simple.
To start, my mom ordered us some stuff from Mal-wart. They ended up having to substitute half the items on the order for other things, and there were three things that were out of stock (but hilariously, the website said if we did an in-store pickup then it'd be there for us. I think that's code for "We are trying to force you to come into the store"). On top of that, the delivery was supposed to be at 10:30am, then was delayed until 12:15pm, then it was moved to 1:00pm.
The delivery guy calls my mom to tell her he can't find our apartment building. Apparently, every building on our street, according to his GPS all have the same number as the one listed in our address. Yeah, the 7 buildings on this intersection are all #44, sure, that makes sense. Guy is seeing 4's everywhere!
My mom tells him that there's only ONE #44. He continues to insist that all the buildings are #44. I think he's probably not zooming in on the map or something, but regardless, there's a gigantic #44 right on the front entrance to our building, and the other buildings have clearly displayed DIFFERENT numbers on them.
My mom looks out the window and sees him pull over within the intersection and get out of the car. She can even see the Mal-wart packages in his hand. She tells him he is parked directly across from our building, and that if he crosses the street, he'll be right at our building. The guy seriously turns completely around and goes around the corner.
I tell her I'll go down there to meet him and get the package.
She tells him to turn around and come back to his car, and that I'm on my way to meet him. I go downstairs (we are on the 8th floor and our elevators are slow so it takes two or three minutes, depending), go outside and the guy is completely gone.
When I got back upstairs she told me that she stayed on the phone with him and he kept trying to go up the cross street, go the opposite direction of our building, and she kept telling him to come back to his car and wait for me there. He wouldn't listen to her. Then he hopped back in his car and drove off.
It just amazes me that he couldn't stay put and wait a couple minutes.
My mom called and complained, was able to get her money back, and the person she spoke to said they've had lots of issues with this delivery person (who actually works for a different company, think "Floorsmash"), and he frequently picks up deliveries at their location and is rarely successful at completing deliveries. And nobody on Mal-wart's end, or Floorsmash's end, does anything about it.
We ordered the stuff we wanted from a different store, got it same day but they also had a few items out of stock. For our next grocery delivery attempt, we went with a different store, again, this time paying less money and a smaller delivery fee to get EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED, and we got it same day too.

I felt like this game was a good game on my part, and was another good game for analysis. We won first round, got second one close, and got flawlessed on third. What could I have done better? How could i more effectively and efficiently peeled for my team, without just peeling the whole game. (at that point another tank is just better). 2023.06.11 02:55 PomegranateMarsRocks 350z not starting - cranks over - gradually been getting worse now won’t start at all
My buddies dad works on z’s as a side hobby and has for many years, i trust him to do decent work and not intentionally screw me or anyone for that matter. I bought an 06 convertible off him about 10 months ago. At first no issues and then month or two later a couple times of cranking and starter going but no ignition. Waited and then would start a few minutes later. Happened a handful of times over 6 months. Suddenly issue got increasingly worse and every 3-4 times driving it would have same thing, cranking and no start, few minutes later it’d start up. Few weeks later and now I haven’t driven it in a month because it won’t start at all. Changed cam sensors, can’t get to crank without a tow. It’s sitting fairly low on fuel (1/4) so maybe a fuel pump? But didn’t have any issues driving. It has an aftermarket key, could the chip be having issues? It has no codes and no driving issues. Possible fuel injectors would be that dirty? I bought a new fuel pump as well but haven’t put it in yet, plan to put some into engine and try to start. I’m not an expert by any stretch but fairly handy. Any help is greatly appreciated, I miss driving my baby and trying to avoid tow to mechanic

So, something I experience chronic pain without a clear cause, but it's controlled as well as can be hoped for without specialist input well, but what isn't managed well is the fact that I frequently injure myself as a result of balance problems that are presumably linked to the pain.
I have mobility aids and various other things to reduce fall risk, but it still happens and I have had so many acute injuries that, when combined with my acute pain, is crippling. What I am struggling with is the morale harm though, of having nothing to help with the acute pain. I'm already on cocodamol and naproxen for the ambient level pain, but I don't know what I'm meant to do for acute injuries. I'm aware of the concept of breakthrough pain, but that word doesn't seem to fit this scenario because the acute pain isn't really related to the chronic, because anyone can injure themselves while on regular pain medication.
I'm just a bit confused at how it's meant to feel, whether my experience is normal. Like, I know that experiencing chronic pain changes your relative sense of pain and what's an okay day to me would probably be a "I'm hurting so much I can't think" level (which I'd call an 8). If I had no chronic pain at all and injured myself acutely, I'd probably take painkillers for this pain and it would help. If my chronic pain was at an 8/10 and I hadn't been injured, it would take a couple points off that. But is an injury that occurs while I'm on the painkillers meant to hurt less than if it happened and I hadn't taken them? I'm just confused.
It's especially upsetting when I have to get checked out at A&E if I've got a suspected broken bone or a concussion, there have been multiple times where I've been sobbing from pain and nurses have been concerned and offered me painkillers, but what they offer is paracetamol and/or ibuprofen, and that's stuff I'm literally not allowed to take when I've already had my usual stuff, because the stuff I have for the ambient pain is stronger than that already. Sometimes that's listed in my file as having refused pain medication, which can make my injuries seem less severe to the doctors reading the file. But also, I don't know what I could expect differently from them. Is there a protocol to deal with people like me? I'm not sure what I should say in those scenarios.
Because I still get stress headaches, or flu aches, or period pains and I feel so helpless not being able to respond to them because I've already had medication. It feels like I'm not allowed to have "normal people" pains, even though the normal aches and ouches of life hit me harder because I'm so weary from the chronic stuff. I guess my question is mostly one of hope - is this the kind of things that effective pain management plans account for, because I can't really imagine how we could deal with the ambient pain I experience while also having tools left in the box for when headbutt the floor. I'm hoping the pain specialist will be able to help with the overall pain management stuff, but is this acute stuff likely to have a solution? Obviously pain management is individual, I'd just be curious to hear if anyone else has managed with this problem

It's especially upsetting when I have to get checked out at A&E if I've got a suspected broken bone or a concussion, there have been multiple times where I've been sobbing from pain and nurses have been concerned and offered me painkillers, but what they offer is paracetamol and/or ibuprofen, and that's stuff I'm literally not allowed to take when I've already had my usual stuff, because the stuff I have for the ambient pain is stronger than that already. Sometimes that's listed in my file as having refused pain medication, which can make my injuries seem less severe to the doctors reading the file. But also, I don't know what I could expect differently from them. Is there a protocol to deal with people like me? I'm not sure what I should say in those scenarios.
Because I still get stress headaches, or flu aches, or period pains and I feel so helpless not being able to respond to them because I've already had medication. It feels like I'm not allowed to have "normal people" pains, even though the normal aches and ouches of life hit me harder because I'm so weary from the chronic stuff. I guess my question is mostly one of hope - is this the kind of things that effective pain management plans account for, because I can't really imagine how we could deal with the ambient pain I experience while also having tools left in the box for when headbutt the floor. I'm hoping the pain specialist will be able to help with the overall pain management stuff, but is this acute stuff likely to have a solution? Obviously pain management is individual, I'd just be curious to hear if anyone else has managed with this problem

Tl;wr: Download high-res assets, turn off crossplay (needs to be done in character selection), run the game at either default or medium first before thinkering with graphics.
P.S: The problem in question might be different for users from other regions and really be something server side, I play from South America, I reckon that the servers around here must be pretty empty since I rarely see players around (Even after making new character 2 times), world bosses are often fought with only 5~6 people (compared to 10+ during server slam). In any case, if you're having those stutters that only affects the frames and not the actions of your character, it's worth giving it a try.
P.S2: After downloading high-res assets, check your emotion wheels to see if they were reset, in case you use them for escape scrolls and death elixir.

So, since D4 was openned for everyone, I have started facing some serious stuttering, with the game skipping frames even though my FPS was always high (80~90) and temperatures under controll (under 75ºC), it was really strange because during early access and open tests, my Laptop was doing just fine with no stutters....so obviously, the problem was on the "peasants" that started playing on June 6th...right?
Well, today I got tired of it after getting my lvl 67 barbarian killed in hardcore and tried doing every possible fix in the book, I scoured everywhere in the web, from posts with negative karma to indian gamers on youtube (Not trying to make fun here, you guys are the best when it comes to videos with fixes for games), I even tried to check overclocking, something that I am scared of doing, I did everything that was within reach but always to no avail, I used Cerrigan as my testing zone because it often rains and it was my "base of operations", in all tests I always had FPS drops + stutter...I started panicking because it was only happening to me, I had done a Legion event with 3 other people in the morning and they all said that the game was running perfectly fine and smooth for them, which makes sense since SA servers are probably very empty.
Well, here comes a random comment I saw in Blizzard's D4 forum..."Try downloading High-Res assets, it fixed for me"...boy...I almost replied how stupid this idea was along with other 5 people that did so but the 6th guy replied saying that it worked for him...how does downloading High-res assets could fix the problem? I don't know, but in any case I downloaded it to try and...it FU****** WORKED, immediately after getting a massive bone spear I recalled that, here in this reddit, I read someone saying that High-res textures are useless if you're not playing with 4k monitor and should be uninstalled because it would increase performance and so I did on the 5th of June in preparation for the flood of new players...well...seems really strange that as soon as I deleted the High-res assets, that I've always downloaded for both server slams and early start, the problems started happening but I just forgot about it and blamed on the servers.
So there you have it, after finishing the download, I set the graphics to default then changed back to medium, didn't even need to mess around with NVIDIA reflex, latency or renders, I even got more FPS (from 83~90 to stable 100)...I literally downloaded High-res assets, that were supposed to reduce FPS with the increase of graphic resources and ended up receiving more frames.
Is there a possibility that it was just a coincidence and that the servers "freed up" or Blizzard fixed the problem on their end? Sure, there is always a possibility...but let me tell you something, the time between my last stutter session and me finishing the download of the High-res assets were 15 minutes, and the test was done exactly at the busiest time in my country (17:30) and I've played since then until 21:00 stutter-free, not to mention that all those problems started literally as soon as I deleted High-res assets, odds are that the High-res assets were the solution for my problem all along.
So there you have it, now it's time for me to level up a new character because the event to lvl 100 continues and I didn't hear no bell.

Long story short, my best friend was driving and hit a pedestrian at reasonably high speeds (40-50 mph), breaking a few bones, and ended up admitting to drinking and got 5 charges, one of which is a felony for serious injury while drinking. BAC was around .09-.10 at the time of testing. She lawyered up instantly and is currently doing everything right pre trial wise, has gone sober, etc, but what should I expect for possible sentencing? She has no priors of any kind, but I know it’s still quite serious and Colorado doesn’t mess around with DUI cases from what I’ve heard. Is actual jail time/work release possible? Already figured her license will be revoked and at a minimum a very hefty fine. If anyone else has gone through this please let me know. Thanks.
