I don’t like practicing in front of people. However, people (family & friends) often come to my house and stay for a few days. I stop practicing completely during that time because I don’t want to practice in front of them, especially considering my piano is in the main room. I can’t move it for space reasons. I’m also scared I’ll look like a douche for practicing in front of people.
I'm not incredibly talented considering I only know a few songs. I need to practice to get better. The problem is I completely stop when we have any company. I'm scared to screw up in front of people for god knows what reason.

F27 been with m26 for 12 years. We have two beautiful girls but I often find myself questioning whether or not I'd want my girls inthe type of relationship I'm in. I feel like for all special occasions I put sooo much more effort in. It's not about the gifts, it's about the effort. He does so little around the house but is convinced otherwise and before anyone says to "talk to him", I've tried. Over and over again! I have a full on meltdown once a month and then he starts to help for like a week.
Tonight at MY birthday supper with my Dad and Sister - I asked my him to pass me something and he said " say please first. You forgot to say please" totally embarrassing me in front of everyone. (Like the only time I didnt use my manners right away all day) Then he plays victim so fucking well that when I finally approached him about it after the supper in the car - he turned it on me!
I just feel like I should be in a relationship where my girls see how they should be treated.. do other people question their relationships? Or am I on a sinking ship?

Have a plant health question? Help us help you by using the below guidelines:

Information, information, information! Try to keep your answers to the below concise and easy to read (bullet points are easier on the eyes than paragraphs).

• Description: A well lit photo and/or detailed description of the issue.
• Drainage: Is the plant in a container? What kind? Does it have a drainage hole?
• Potting medium: What kind of mix is the plant potted in?
• Water: How often do you water and how much?
• Sunlight: Where is the plant situated and what is its exposure to sun like? Direct/indirect sunlight? Hours per day?

Hi there! I'm looking for recommendations on a new vacuum for the upstairs of our house, which is mostly carpet with a small amount of hardwood in the bathrooms. The carpet is medium pile and we have a dog who sheds a ton. The vacuum we have now is an old upright bagged Hoover with a wand that's stopped working. I primarily use it to vacuum our carpet upstairs, and to clean above floor things like window sills, fans, etc.
Since I use the wand a lot in cleaning, that made me consider a canister vacuum, however based on the flow chart in this sub it seems like an upright is best for carpet. I'm willing to spend the money on a BIFL vacuum, and have been looking at the Sebo Felix as an upright and Miele C1 Cat & Dog as a canister. Does anyone have other recommendations, or insight into whether a canister or upright would be best for my needs?

My question is, is tinfoil the only thing that helps to block out these things? I know wearing a tinfoil hat is futile, however, is wearing more metal going to help make the programming less effective on me? is there any material you have found that talks on this, or any experience yourself? please help!
I am wondering if people are able to read thoughts for real. If any of you know lookoutfacharlie on youtube, he has tech that picks up automated voices who narrate things he does and picks up odd convos. I too am wondering if these convos are a form of forced programming? that are picked up in frequencies?
are there waves that get emitted to us as a form of prgramming? I sometimes experience this. I was cleared for tinnitus by doctor and sometimes I will step foot outside house and a loud ringing in ear happens for 5 seconds but then dies out. Ive been cleared for having any mental illness and im not taking any drugs or alcohol. I been hearing the ringing for 8 months now since ive become aware of this theory. I have heard computer beeps a couple times when laying awake in bed talking with my mom, asked my mom if she heard she said no. the ringing was heightened 2 months ago, when i was more certain we were being monitored closely. Now, it happens very oddly, like a malfunction, I will be in different areas, or move oddly then hear it for a few seconds. it is odd because before the ringing was staying constant, but now, I hear no constant ringing, but everyday i will hear a loud ringing for 2 or 3 seconds then it dies out. as well, the ringing has been (for 3 months) going in and out and switching from ear to ear.

I‘ve had my late childhood/youthbike (Trek 3700) more than a decade now even if it was never maintananced over its lifetime, it was/is a loyal bike which never let me down, even it‘s way to small (and i could imagine - i’m too heavy for it also) for me now and riding it is not the most comfortable anymore.
It was time to get a new „everyday“ (allround) Mountainbike for many years to come - and i wanted to look into beginner trails to ride.
So the birthday present for my 25th birthday is a Trek Roscoe 9. It was a coincidence that the bike i like was a Trek again. But after i was so satisfied with the quality etc. of the 3700 i find it cool, that i have a Trek again.
I hope i made the right desicion and its a good and reliable bike with which i can look into riding trails. (I‘m absolute beginner in the bike-hobby.)
I got it with the Bontrager Line Pro pedals. (Bought Shoes etc. also to have my first complete „mountainbike outfit“.)
And while shopping my girlfriend bought a Marlin 7 also…..because i got myself a new bike, she have to had one too ^.

I’m in a bit of a jam. I moved in with my girlfriend (dating for about a year now) a few months ago, but I fear that it may be time to break up. You might wonder how we got here or why I feel this way. I’ll do my best to explain. Her family (mom and dad) are staying with us right now. They’re from a different country, and it’s been a lot for me to handle. We’ve only been together a year and they’re trying to get us into a marriage. Not only that, but I think my girlfriend wants them to move in with us in the future, especially if we have children. That may sound like a blessing (who doesn’t want free childcare?), but it’s more of a curse. They have taken over my house, and I feel more like a prisoner than anything else.
It’s just too much for me. I’m pretty easy going, but I think I will go crazy if this continues throughout the rest of my life. I genuinely wanted to get along with her family and like them, but I think this experience is pushing me away. To make matters worse, I think her family hopes for me to come live in their country someday, which I’m not going to do.
My mom and dad really like her, but they also want to me to be happy. They think she’s great, but understand that a family can complicate everything. We’re both 28, so we’re both relatively young. Is this a sign that it’s time to get a fresh start?
Just another note: I have tried to talk to my girlfriend about this. She agrees that there needs to some separation from them, but it’s pretty clear that her family will be playing a big role in my life no matter what.
TLDR: now that my girlfriend’s (foreign) parents are staying with us, I’m completely overwhelmed and don’t feel like myself anymore. I feel like I’m being forced into commitments I’m not ready to make and it’s uncomfortable.
