I'm trying to test a bunch of creatives for my ads for my landscaping business. I spend 10$ a day. I my campaign has 2 ad sets and the same 5 creatives each. But Facebook only spends money on 2 of the ads and nothing on the other ones. I want it to spend money on all my ads equally so that I can rule some out. Me (m45), wife (f45) married almost 20 years. My story is very similar to many other ones on here: got married young, with little experience in relationships, communication, sex. Libido mismatch was always a problem, me high, she low to non-existent. If I did not initiate, we could go months with no sex. At the beginning we could hardly talk about it, different times, had no clue how to even look for information on what could be wrong. When I did bring it up, I was not even sure what to say, I was thinking there is also probably something wrong with me. After talks things would change a bit and the slowly go back to the way they were before. As time went on, from the wife side talks shifted from: “I also have needs and want sex as much as you do, but … reasons reasons reasons” to “ I am fine if we do it once or twice a week, that’s all I need”. So right now we are doing it once a week, maybe 2 times if the stars align. And most of the time it feels like it happens just to check it off.
So my question is: is there a way to make this work? Any tricks we can try to increase her libido? Try setting goals to having sex/masturbating every day for a few weeks to see if it will become more natural?

2023.06.05 01:18 Americanprospecting Gear. What to get and where to get it.
In the city, there are only 2 shops I know of that sell gear for the setups most of us use. Those would be Gus’s in the outer Richmond, and liberal fishing tackle in Civic CenteSoma. Stephanie at Gus’s is super helpful and can get you started with a pole and some gear for about $100. Liberal Fishing Tackle is a smaller outfit. They often have a lot of the little things like weights and hooks at 1960’s era price points. It’s in a bit of a rough area, and oddly connected to a pawn shop…and takes cash only, but easily my closest store and a quick trip if you need some gear. If you have your own personal favorites, or if you own a shop yourself, feel free to mention it or even self promote in this thread.
Personally, I usually go out with 2 10’ poles I bought from Gus’s, which are just fine for what I do. Certainly better poles can be had and places like HI’s Tackle in South SF can set you up with something a little nicer. I like to use one of the poles to catch bait and the other to use the bait. If I catch enough bait fish, I’ll use both to fish for bigger game. This usually requires a sabiki or bait rig on a bobber for bait, and a 3 way or surf rig for deeper water bigger fish. Sabiki rigs are cheap and at every store, but please remember, there are only 3 hooks permitted at one time inside the bay. You will absolutely see folks using 6-10 hook sabikis, and honestly, it’s very unlikely they will ever be reprimanded for it. Stick to the rules so we can keep enjoying fishing is my standpoint. If live bait is too much of a hassle, swim baits like paddle tails can be effective. Many halibut and striper have been taken by a person with a pole and a lure. This allows you to travel super light with the prospect of hooking up with a monster. The downsides really make it a conundrum. First, the currents can get really strong at certain piers, effectively making your lure useless. The wind and current also can drag your lure out so fast, you may find yourself crossing lines with all the heavy weighted bait rigs. When it’s tight like that, some piers are so packed with bait poles that retrieving a swim bat is like threading a needle. Even at calm times, certain piers can be challenging.
Crab gear is pretty straightforward. Hoop nets are your best bet. The closer to open water, the better. Reminder, if you are crabbing, ALWAYS carry a measuring tool, and NEVER take dungeness from the bay, unless you want a $900 per crab fine. This is their spawning grounds, let them be. Bodega Bay has a legal dungeness pier, as does Pacifica. Crab snares work well in areas of open water outside the golden gate. Inside the bay, I find snares ineffective, especially the further you go in. Folding traps are great if you want to keep gear light and still bring crab home. Be mindful of the tides when hanging hoop nets or folding traps, a current change can easily sweep them under the pier. As far as bait, use oily fish if there are no seals around, or junk chicken parts if there are seals around.
So that’s a bit to unpack there, but we are just scratching the surface. Tell me your favorite shops for gear or bait! Share your rigs and setups or methods. If you own a store, self promote here in this thread!

Ok so rant/vent/in need of advice and some perspective.
My husband and I recently moved onto a farm. It’s our dream to seed a cooperative/mutualistic business with friends and family and to be as helpful as possible to the community. We are extremely lucky and blessed to be able to do this, but we’re also in the midst of an extremely stressful protracted move. (We ended up having to load up moving trucks and then unload them a week later—it was a whole thing and we have a lot of stuff). It’s been a few weeks since we got the keys to the front door, and in that time we started to unpack and took a plane trip to another city for an important family graduation.
All that to say my AuDHD is simultaneously very happy and unhappy. It’s beautiful, amazing, and refreshing being close to nature and this is such an incredible opportunity. But the inside of the house is a chaos zone where it’s extremely difficult to functionally do anything because there’s like 18 steps involved in doing anything simple because our stuff is all over the place.
On the graduation trip I got overstimulated to the point that my skin was hurting and I had to walk around outside until I felt like I could go back inside without having a meltdown.
So here’s where I need to vent/need some advice: my friend (an old Army buddy) is visiting. It’s not a great time for a visit but he was visiting other friends in another city close by and we were happy to see each other. The kicker however, is that he is also AuDHD. It’s one of the reasons we sometimes get along so well. It’s also why he’s annoying the crap outta me.
I’ve had to explicitly tell him I cannot handle him going off on a tangent about random unrelated shit while I’m trying to do something practical that the house needs. I need my focus to go on that task, not like his theories about Dune or something. He understands intellectually as I explained before he came what it was going to be like (crazy chaotic and we would be mainly doing work to start running a farm) but he still goes on these tangents about stuff I have no idea what he’s talking about and prompts me with demands that I find irritating (“choose your dice set for our tabletop sesh!”) as we’re coming inside for 10 minutes in the middle of a project outside. Walking away from a project that I “assigned” him that’s 2/3 of the way done. Offering to help with something when I’m already irritated at him! Just leave me alone man!
I have conflicting feelings. Why can’t I just be fun and humor him? Why am I so serious? At the same time all the AuDHD shit is really irritating me. I don’t just want to be an ableist asshole who’s mad at him for acting ADHD and autistic. Part of me is like man maybe I should really be more worried about him because he seems to be really struggling with his ADHD lately.
Maybe I’m projecting some of the ways the Army traumatized me every time I did an AuDHD thing. I had to really change my behaviors a lot to survive the Army. I very much don’t want to turn that toxicity on to my friend, I love him very much. But I’m also annoyed and maybe feeling a little resentful too for how the world has treated me because of my AuDHD as a woman and how I’ve had to compensate. And in general I find myself becoming irritated with my male AuDHD friends (I have a lot of AuDHD friends, lmao) when they unmask around me sometimes because they just act “too much.” I don’t want my friends to feel like they’re “too much” but I want them to talk at a lower volume and stop dominating the conversation! And pay attention to what’s going on and not just their own tangent! Where is the balance here? It’s not fair for me to expect my friends to not act AuDHD but the AuDHD behaviors legit ARE irritating sometimes! How can I be a good accepting friend but also get the shit done that I need to? And some of that being the shit I will never not have to do—I’m a woman??? And not lose my mind???
EDIT: additional context. My friend wants to move out here and be a business partner. I’d love for him to be a business partner but if he’s serious wer’re going to need to resolve the issue of him annoying me 😭😭😭😭

I'm just now getting used to Sai 2 after using Sai since...well middle school, and I'm unsure of how to go about adjusting to the new feel of it. I just had some questions that maybe someone could help me out with?

I'm just now getting used to Sai 2 after using Sai since...well middle school, and I'm unsure of how to go about adjusting to the new feel of it. I just had some questions that maybe someone could help me out with?
- When using the Bucket tool none of the options seem to mirror Sai 1 properly. In Sai 1 for example if I draw two circles, select the insides, and fill with the bucket set to Transparency Strict and Working Layer, it will fill only what I've clicked on. However in Sai 2 doing the same will fill both circles and anything else that's been selected. Is there a way to work around that?
- Sometimes my pen seems to drag at the end of certain default tools such as the Pen or Eraser, but not with anything else. It's like the sensitivity is set super high but it isn't. Feels really weird.
- When using the box select tool everything feels fine, but when using the Lasso select tool suddenly it becomes molasses. Moving my selection and dropping it where I want will always result in the selection moving slightly as I move away from it. Is it a sensitivity issue?
- When using the Text tool is there a way to condense multiple text layers easily? Because currently I'm doing it one by one because they can't be merged onto themselves.
- Finally, with certain text, is there any way to have the text be aliased rather than anti-aliased? I do pixel work sometimes and I have a font I use, but when using it in Sai 2 it's automatically anti-aliased and therefore blurry.

My boyfriend (39M) and I have been speaking/getting to know each othedating for about 5-6 months. He has never been diagnosed with BPD, but has refused to see any mental health professional.
Things moved incredibly quickly. He confessed his feelings and poured out ideas and dreams about our future together almost immediately, also saying he felt like he found his “other half”. He’s older, so I assumed relationships move faster when you’re more experienced. We went on a road trip the first month of dating.
I’m not sure if he fits the symptoms of BPD. He is introverted, but a friendly person when one-on-one. He is very intelligent, professional in his work environment, super responsible, and all of his friends think he’s a great guy and have known him for years and years. He finds it important to nurture his friendships, which is something I really liked about him, too.
However, he has confessed that his past relationships have been incredibly messy (on and off, dating multiple people, cheating, etc.) and he carries a ton of guilt from hurting a lot of people. He has admitted he has a hard time letting go of people, too.
He has been a heavy drinker for the past 15+ years. He used to go out and party heavily with alcohol at bars/clubs almost every night up until about 2 years ago, when he began to start making his life more organized. He now drinks heavily only on the weekends and at home while playing video games and this was his routine when I met him. Immediately off the bat, he shared this with me and asked if that would be an issue. I didn’t see it as an issue and I appreciated his honesty so we continued to move forward happily.
During the weekends, he tends to be emotional in his drunken state, daydreams about things he would like to do, and gets nostalgic.
More about him: He has an immense fear of public speaking. So much that in college he switched majors to avoid a speech core credit class. These daydreams and ideas he comes up with on weekends in emotional states of mind, almost never get done, or he changes his mind as soon as the weekend ends.
From the beginning of our relationship he has said that I’m going to end up leaving him because I’m trying to get into school. This has lead to arguments because I love him and would always try to make things work, but he disagrees and this makes planning a future difficult for me, too. It doesn’t feel like we’re on the same page. Him expressing this makes me feel unstable because it feels like his vision of our future is me getting into school and that’s it. (Please advise me about whether or not I’m overreacting about this, too. I tend to be very anxious.)
This weekend he called and said he wanted Saturday for himself, which is completely fine. But then he told me he was having dark thoughts about how I’m going to school to start my career and he fears im going to leave him and he’s embarrassed to be with a young pretty girl because he feels old (10 yr age difference). So this led me to feel like something was wrong and I wanted to see him at least to give him a hug, if he doesn’t feel like talking. I felt a lot of anxiety and just wanted some comfort while also reassuring him that we would be okay and I wouldn’t leave him. Everything I would try to reassure over the phone, he would argue against. This led to me becoming an anxious mess, emotional, and almost irrational. I now understand it is pointless to argue with someone who has been drinking. But at the time, I kept asking and begged to at least let me have that little piece of comfort in a hug and seeing him and accused him of not treating me like a human being by just telling me his dark thoughts over the phone and telling me I’m not allowed to see him. He also told me he was going to double lock his doors to make sure I don’t go inside his home (which I would never do forcefully). So it hurt that he thought I would do that. I went as far as to call him manipulative for using “bs reasoning” for not letting me see him. Like telling me he was too drunk and smelled (I’ve been with him every weekend while he is drunk). I was wrong in calling him manipulative. I do not have the right to act like I own him and like he has to let me see him whenever I please.
He ended the phone call and I was extremely emotional but gave him about 7-9 hours until I called back to ask how he was doing. During this time I tried to reflect on my reaction and calm down. He hasn’t answered any of my phone calls or text messages since then.
I must note that he said he would try to talk to me after the weekend, but in that moment of anxiety I could not wait and wanted to see him at least for a couple of minutes that same Saturday.
It’s very difficult for me to go from seeing this man daily for 5+ months and daily 4-10 hr phone calls without fail to suddenly being ignored for a full weekend. I know people with BPD tend to self-isolate, but is it normal to self-isolate when in a loving relationship with someone who is trying to show you they will not leave you and want to be with you always?
I do understand that his self-isolation could be for others reasons not related to any BPD like for example my emotional reaction could have been seen as clingy or annoying or dumb or overbearing or controlling. I reflected on this and texted him admitting I was irrational and too emotional and that I understand that he needs his space.

While i have dabled myself in a multitude of formats, I've been always pulled back to Pauper due to it’s unique qualities and characteristics. I’ve also played a lot of Archetypes but I've had modestly successful results in the competitive scene with the infamous Red Deck Wins (https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/300634#paper). While a great many players see themselves above the simplicity of playing Red Aggro, choosing more complex and colorful options; I've always respected the core idea behind it: finding the faster and most efficient way to kill your opponent. “A harmony of mathematical precision” - The Architect expressing his thoughts about the efficiency of Red Deck Wins. That being said, i think it was about time for me to immerse into what is the most dominant Red Aggro Archetype that has ever been seen in the Format; so I hope you enjoy the reading as much as I've enjoyed the writing. A bit of history first... https://preview.redd.it/yqjlp8z1234b1.png?width=306&format=png&auto=webp&s=a7ab53a48760f5b2937c4cc28fb34d6895a08a33 A long time ago, when extra Mana in the Pool burned you and Combat Damage used the Stack, a man made history and revolutionized the whole idea of Deckbuilding in Magic forever. That man was called Paul Sligh, who made 2nd Place in the Atlanta PTQ in 1996 with a deck that by all standards (old and new) seems lackluster and not suited for competitive play. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/3858668#paper The deck itself wasn’t fancy at all and it didn’t play the best cards of his time (it even broke the Golden rule in Magic, to not play more than 60 cards), but it did 1 thing particulary well: It curved with Creatures and Spells from Turn 1, which allowed it to maintain the Tempo advantage with early board presence and pressure. This game plan was helped by Red damage spells that served both as Removals to control the board and Burn to damage directly the opponent’s life totals. The results obtained by Paul in the tournament were so impactful in the Magic competitive scene that from that point on the new decks that followed the same game plan were named “Sligh” in honour of the man that started a new era of building and playing Aggro strategies (even if the original deck idea was designed by another famous player, Jay Schneider). While we have come a long road from that 1996 Atlanta PTQ, the core concepts of that first Mono Red Archetype sticked trough almost all formats: efficient and cheap creatures, combined with Burn spells that focused on closing the game as fast as possible, was a perfectly sound plan to achieve victory in the game of Magic. The Red Menace https://preview.redd.it/l8ab9ma9234b1.png?width=292&format=png&auto=webp&s=3f08c5509b657256786bcf14c936a048d42b38d7 Since the beginning of the Pauper format, the Red Aggro Archetype has existed because the best Burn spells in the game are commons (Fireblast, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and all the subsequent and weaker iterations). Despite that, Red Aggro in Pauper historically lacked cheap and efficient creatures to complement their game plan, which meant that it existed as a 2nd Tier deck at most that could only achieve good results sporadically. But that is the past brother, because in the year 2022 Wizards released Double Masters; an expansion focused on reprints that made the fatal mistake of downgrading to common one of the best Red creatures ever printed: She’s beautiful, isn’t she? The moment Monastery was legal on Pauper the entire metagame warped around it, classic Burn decks started playing very similarly to their Legacy counterpart thanks to now having an efficient and hard-to-answer creature. In a few weeks, the format gave birth to a new iteration of Red Aggro called Hot Dogs; which used Monastery, Kiln Fiend and Festival Crasher; paired with various cheap and “free” spells, to deliver One Turn Kills before Turn 4. - Hot Dogs: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5058490#paper When the meta adapted and started efficiently countering the fragile game plan of deploying few early creatures and going all-in for the OTK, Red Mages commited themselves to explore other nefarious ways to abuse their new Prowess girlfriend until someone hit the jackpot when he realized that a combination of Red/Colorless Artifacts allowed you to play Kuldotha Rebirth in a Red Aggro shell with few concessions thanks to cards like Great Furnace, Chromatic Star, Implement of Combustion and Experimental Synthetizer. The most important of those Artifact cards was Synthethizer because it provided something that was unkown to most Burn players until then: Card Advantage. Since that first Sligh deck, Monored has caracterized itself for being all about the Tempo advantage, trading at most 1 for 1 while abusing the early game pressure to nullify the extra cards that your opponent would have in hand until you managed to kill them. With the adition of Synthetizer players started searching other Red cards that provided some sort of Card Advantage when they realized that effects like Reckless Impulse were essentially “Draw 2 cards” when you have that many cheap spells that can be easily deployed during the course of 2 Turns. And thus, the abomination was given birth: - Kuldotha Red: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5094195#paper When the deck was in its apogee, Wizards decided it was a good idea to print another Reckless Impulse; this time named Wrenn’s Resolve. This meant that while Kuldotha continued as a perfectly consistent game plan, Red Decks now had enough card advantage to not even need to play the board with small creatures and focus on more Burn Spells and “Ping” creatures that, if left unanswered, will usually mean a swift and violent death. - Mono Red Burn: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5626897#online The Primer itself Okay, this storytelling until now has been nice and fun, but i promised you a Primer (which usually means an explanation in depth of the Archetype itself) and so i shall deliver: - The Rations https://preview.redd.it/v6u6islg234b1.png?width=576&format=png&auto=webp&s=b1c7bdab8de4144d9a4c64e441f9ea02fae1f540 Yeah you guessed it, we will be playing the best lands a Red Aggro deck can wish for: untapped Basic Mountains. While the most important thing about that beautiful Red mana generator is that it comes Untapped, the Mountain Type is extremely important whenever you are playing cards like Fireblast or Lava Dart. In adittion to those, we also have some more interesting options at our disposal for different purposes:

- The Ammo https://preview.redd.it/543ymqgq234b1.png?width=576&format=png&auto=webp&s=bae5401eaef1bdba7f21cd988bb362ed3908a34b While for classic Burn players the adittion of non-land cards that don’t efficiently deal direct damage or inmediatly increase the board presence may seem strange, they are the sole reason why Burn stopped being a Tier 2/3 deck and become the undisputed master of the format.
- The Garrison https://preview.redd.it/0tv0hldt234b1.png?width=576&format=png&auto=webp&s=4c4448c2a93da17b3f04d439941c84898d47e05f Sometimes people don’t like being burned to death, so they will try to employ strategies to prevent us from doing that; and while when choosing between only Red card our Sideboaes options may seem limited, we have more than enough tools against most decks in the format.
- The Battle Plan Von Moltke after he casted 3 Lightning Bolts to the face and the opponent responded with a Weather the Storm. “A game plan for Burn? Isn’t as easy as just targeting all our spells to the opponent’s face while we swing with our creatures?” Oh my sweet summer child, you couldn’t be more wrong. While Aggro decks in general (specially Red ones) have a straightforward strategy of killing the opponent as fast as possible, and sometimes you will encounter yourself with “automatic” hands were the road to victory is extremely clear; this also means that the slightest mistake can put you in a position where you lack the resources needed to close the game. Countless games of Magic have been lost because the opponent stayed at 1 life away of lethal only for you to realize that you missed that 1 point of damage in a seemingly unimportant missplay some turns before. So the central point is: you will probably have to take a lot less decisions when playing Red Aggro than other more “complicated” Archetypes, so you better think things through really well because having few decisions means that the smallest innacuracy will often have dire consequences. … “Okay, okay, Got it. Just don’t fuck up and point everything to the face then?” Wrong again, probably the worst play Monored can do today is Turn 1: Mountain, Bolt to the face. While more classic iterations of the Archetype focus on incinerating the opponent’s life total as fast as possible, we have learnt better. While Red Aggro’s goal is to maximize the damage dealt to the opponent, usually the most efficient way to do this is by sticking a few good Threats into the board and using our damage spells to control it and consistently deal damage over time; a plan that is helped by our newfound access to Card Advantage that will keep Creatures and Burn spells flowing turn after turn. Thus, we will only point our Bolts directly to the face when they will allow us to close the game in the immeadiate future. I’m, more or less, all of the above. Everyone, since childhood, thinks of me as above average in terms of intelligence. People think I’m smart, I’m clever and quick and I always did well in school without trying. I come off as impressive because I know a lot about a lot of unrelated and mostly useless things. So on the surface, I seem really bright and maybe I am bright. But I am not good at putting any of it to use and I’m sick of people close to me assuming I’m capable of whatever I put my mind to because of said brightness.
I’m 30 now and I’ve hobbled together a seemingly impressive-ish career by the skin of my teeth. Mostly through being extraordinarily gifted at masking and coming off as super easy going and likable (until the mask eventually cracks and my incompetence shines through). I’m also “cute” and frankly, that’s gotten me pretty far, especially since I’ve had almost exclusively male employers.
But I know myself and I know I’m actually NOT good at my job. I’m a decent writer naturally and I’ve made a career as a journalist and magazine editor. I always leave my jobs before my fraud is totally uncovered but I do always eventually get the reputation of not having a good work ethic and being constantly sick. There is always something going on with me and I have a billion excuses for everything. I let my team down all the time and always pin it on something out of my control when the truth is, I just struggle too much with every day things to excel at any career.
I’ve just been offered a rather prestigious position with a publication that is SO far out of my league and I’m terrified to accept it. But I need to accept it because I need to work. Especially now because my husband and I are expecting our first baby (which is a whole other panic inducing component of my life that I won’t touch on now).

A father and son, one of which sits on the House of Lords in the UK and the other has written a million books and is outrageously important. I was pissing myself internally but my combination of masking and faked charm won me the role (it was over Zoom which helps a lot). It’s a role I am just not qualified for and I am not just being hard on myself. But everyone around me thinks I’m just being hard on myself. Especially my husband.
My husband is partner at a really successful law firm in our city. He HATES his career and is constantly riddled with anxiety and stress. He wasn’t born to be a lawyer but didn’t have a set passion so he followed in his father’s footsteps. We share a lot of the same issues but when it comes to work, his anxiety fuels him to get the job done and done well. My anxiety crippled me, on the other hand. He’s so proud of me for getting this job and he keeps telling me how brilliant I am and how he knows that I’ll end up doing an amazing job.
But again, I KNOW that I won’t. I will eventually have a breakdown and will leave the job. The people I’ll be working with are too important and I’m too shy and easily intimidated. The stress will start to cripple me and my depression will become unmanageable. I know myself. And I hate that I’ve set myself up for failure by setting the bar too high.
I just need to vent. Vent to someone/somewhere where I won’t be told “you’re so smart, you got this!” I need people who understand that being smart has nothing to do with this. I can be smart and also totally incompetent. I’m sure I’ll soon prove that to anyone in my life who doubts it’s true.

Hey there Bay area people - Im currently looking for 1-2 additional players for a PF1e offline home game. The group is currently 3 of us; seasoned players who have finished a few APs together. This go around we're doing things a little differently, looking to make a character driven story loosely based off existing APs and modules set in the Garundi area, with the home city being Bloodport.

 | On my test channel, I did not verify my phone number to enable custom thumbnails or uploads over 15 minutes. I don't know how I uploaded this video then. I tried uploading another 13-hour video to the same channel and processing was abandoned since the "video was too long". I also then tried uploading a 13-hour video to a channel where I do have the verification to upload videos longer than 15 minutes but processing was abandoned on that upload too. The maximum video duration rules are so confusing. My copy of TEaTD is on its way, but after reading the excerpts and other threads, as well as re-reading the stuff in Mortis about Enuncia, I've got a random thought, and I'd throw it out there. Just a theory, that I'm sure lots of folks will poke holes in but what the hell.
1) The dark king has to be stopped.
The Big E knew it was coming. He did have foresight, and really he's doing all that he can.
Also Emps had plans, within plans, within plans, within plans. The whole great crusade to unify humanity before the big psychic awakening, etc was one part. While he was working on the webway project. While they also expected some sort of chaos-led interference (there are TONS of references to this, the one that always baked my noodle was that the Gorgon was supposed to hold the webway gate, even Eldrad makes this reference). So what if big E had another big backup plan to at least give the big finger to Chaos?
So, big E sets up a board game against Chaos to set the game as best as he can. Prometheus stealing the fire, getting the attention of Chaos, seeing their plans behind the scenes, etc.
So, big ass distractions to sow confusion to chaos to set the board, to keep everyone's attention away from each part. To confuse your enemy, you draw his attention to something else. Now, Chaos is doing the same thing to E.
But the Dark king is an eventuality that has to be dealt with, otherwise humanity is fucked. Ultimately, Big E loves humanity. We may be pawns and tools, but E is tied to us, and we to him.
2) Setting up the long game takes Millenia.
We have our wandering group without the mystery machine...but they're carrying something that Big E needs. A weapon against chaos. I have a personal nascent theory that the material world is being set up as a matteantimatter duality with Chaos in the wider lore (Gulliman's/E's comments during the Nurgle's garden bit, Dorn -willing- Chaos demons to fuck off a little on the Phalanx, The sisters using powers in that Necron null field place, among others). So essentially its more a matter of OrdeChaos, or MatteWarp duality. And what is the biggest tool that Big E can use against the warp other than the warp itself?.......enuncia. The language of -creation-, the song of the material universe.
And there's a walking lexicon coming onto the Vengeful Spirit in two persons: Oll and John. John learned it from Oll's mind in Paradise in Mortis, and we see him use it a few times. For big E, his plans always seem to get fucked up by meddling kids, but he keeps working on it. Hence allowing Oll to continue to survive (you think E couldn't have zotted Oll out of existence if he didn't want to?)
3) The Dark King needs to manifest into reality in order for it to be stopped.
Poor Horus. Paint a big ass target on him big E whydontcha. So, he's hollowed out by Chaos, so big E can have a shot. If it fails, the material universe is fucked. If it doesn't happen this way, it will eventually, and the material universe is fucked. So, big E sets the board. Remember, big E may have emotions but his goal is the survival of the species and the material universe, and sacrifices will have to be made. It also explains why E neglected to tell people things (like...oh.....CHAOS to his sons) to provide tools the choice of what to do.
4) Big E will enuncia the Dark King out of Existence.
This will only be correct or incorrect when book 2 comes out, and I'm ok to be wrong.
Chaos has hollowed out Horus, bringing all that comes with into the material universe....allowing big E to give them a really big punch in the face, worse than what he did when the material and warp merged.....otherwise Enuncia wouldn't work.
So big E takes the lexicon from John's mind, and goes "-". Unmaking the Dark king, and Horus, and who knows what else. I have a feeling Oll is gonna shank big E just for old times sake while he's weak.
5) this creates a stalemate.
Chaos plays the long game too, and will keep trying. Big E is stuck, his plans are sacrificed and he's stuck on the electric toilet. Big E doesn't win by doing this, he just forces Chaos to try something else (ripping the material universe in half works!), while E is trying to get over the universes biggest hangover.
I don't think big E on the throne is keeping the Dark King in check, I think Chaos set it up so that there's a broken man that cannot fuck up their plans again. Let alone start flinging Enuncia around like Oprah.

Whilst I'm healthy I'm not 'fit'. This ends now. 4 years ago I was a PhD student riding things that a local enthusiast used to put together (from old parts and sell for £50-150 on gumtree. They did the job but my latest one is well past it's use by date and I really want to get back on the saddle. The problem is that every list of 'best bike under X' gives different answers!
SO...I've wittled down my options to getting a hybrid for £650-750. Not sure I'm ready/confident enough for drop down bars, and from all the GCN videos I've watched I think I'd the comfort and control of a hybrid is more suited to me atm.
The main reason I'm asking here is because when I do the comparisons I don't know much about parts so I can't tell if components x is better

SO...I've wittled down my options to getting a hybrid for £650-750. Not sure I'm ready/confident enough for drop down bars, and from all the GCN videos I've watched I think I'd the comfort and control of a hybrid is more suited to me atm.
The main reason I'm asking here is because when I do the comparisons I don't know much about parts so I can't tell if components x is better
- I've sort of narrowed it down to the cannondale quick disc 2 and the Orbea Vector 20
- Cannondale has former has a carbon fork so I assume would be lighter, and I love the blue colour
- I hear Orbea is a worker owned co-op and that every bike is assembled in Spain. Seems like a nice company to support.
- Happy to hear other suggestions at this price point (could stretch up if required)
