Unexpected
We kissed today. Completely unexpected. It was like coming home. The easy banter that lead up to it, absent for the time we spent apart, roared back to life as we talked.

But pulling away put my face inches from yours, and I could feel the pull of your lips. I can’t deny I wanted you. That I missed you. Your face reflected the little light left from the day, contrasting with your dark hair. Oh, how familiar that is.
After all the light conversation, the attempts to pretend the deeper things in life aren’t happening, and the magic of touching you, I decided what I wanted. What I wanted was to kiss you. I grabbed your face quickly, perhaps in fear that you’d pull away. I pressed my lips against yours, and I felt you kiss me back. Ah, the feeling of home. I missed that. I missed you. What a constant, this beautiful act is. Kissing is so standard and even overlooked in society about the beautiful and intimate language that it is with your lover. Being without your kisses reminds me of how precious they are.
Eventually, I do have to leave. Darkness has settled upon us and we cannot avoid it anymore. The weight of life comes back to us, but perhaps a little lighter with this special joy we just shared. We disentangle, my hands running across your shoulders, down your arms, and to your hands, holding them as I soak up your presence. We smile to each other as I get in the car and we kiss passionately one more time through my open car window, with me pinned to the drivers seat. I feel your hand move from my face to my chest and back to my face again. I desperately wish I could allow more to happen. But for now, memories will have to do.
I drive away touching my lips and thinking about you, wondering if this was a one time thing or if I’ll get to kiss you again.

Home built in 2005, only put Ethernet in a few areas, not in all rooms. I did put coax in all the rooms. So, fast forward to Covid, I needed a good internet connection for work, so I posted here you guys saved me by recommending moca and using the coax line. The connection was every bit as good as Ethernet. Until this week. As of Wednesday I had 20 internet disconnects. Thursday I used Ethernet (ran a wire across the hallway) to check the connection and it had zero disconnects. So Thursday I checked every connection, tightened them all and plugged them back replacing the patch cable on both ends. The whole setup is indoors so none of it is exposed to the elements. Today I had 15 disconnects. Is there any way to test for a failure or dying moca device? 2 years ago I got the Action tec version. It worked perfect until this week. Any ideas?

Just happy I got my first paycheque from CB. I only made $120 but I’m happy considering I only have $12 in my bank account and I needed money just for groceries. Yeah, I know we're all tired of talking this out to death, but I legitimately think this is a good compromise to make Warlock less reliant on short rests, therefore having less variance in their effectiveness from table to table while staying true to the spirit of the 5e Warlock, whose niche was trading versatility for power. You casted less spells overall but you generally cast more high level spells than anyone else and blah blah blah you get it, here we go

As you can see, this is inspired by the idea of "full caster progression but with half caster slots" and that lines up, we start with 2 and end with 15 just like any half caster just with more weight towards the higher end. All in all, this is mechanically better than 5e Warlock in some ways but weaker in others and I think it balances out and since none of this is short rest based, it's more consistent and works no matter what table you're at and the general concept of how Warlocks work mechanically is mostly maintained

Some background I gave up a job in my favourite province to stay and take care of my grandpa. I’ve had access to his bank account for 2 years as he always needed help logging in (I have never used any of his money for personal use and don’t even know how much he has as I’ve never checked).
My aunt (whom I’ll refer to as W) has all my grandpas passwords and took his book with his passwords in them. She then changed his bank account password and when I went to help him log in this morning we realized it had been changed so he called W to get his book back. My aunt whom I thought I was very close with and started to view as a mother figure since I don’t really have a relationship with mine came over this afternoon. She went on to lecture me and say I had no business having anything to do with his finances. That I had no right having access to anything and for some reason brought up that I’m a private person and she has no idea how much money is in my bank account. Then implied I was mooching off of my grandfather because I’m staying here rent free despite me doing all the cooking, cleaning, driving, and any errands that need to be done. And I don’t even want to be here I want to be doing a job I enjoy spending time with people my own age. The entire time she just was saying how I have no right or no business helping my grandpa log into his bank account because she’s not comfortable with me having his passwords. And when I asked for clarification why because it sounded like she was implying I would steal his money she just kept repeating how I have no right.
Now I’m not really upset about not having his passwords. It’s definitely annoying that she is keeping everything so he needs to contact her if he can’t remember his password instead of just having it in a book by his computer. But I just feel so unappreciated, like an outsider, and insulted that after all the time I’ve put into cultivating what I thought were good relationships with my family members and making sacrifices to make their lives easier that she thinks so little of me and had no problem berating me.
I told her that I respect her thoughts and opinions and will go along with it but that I think our relationship moving forward should be centred around my grandpa and that I need more boundaries now that I know what she thinks of me
The more time that passes the angrier I get thinking about the way she talked to me and I don’t know if I should just completely ignore her unless it involves something with my grandma or let her know that I’m no longer comfortable being around her

How will my advisor and I decide on courses when I still don’t know what AP credit I get? For example, I took the exams for AP Physics C Mechanics and E&M, but I have no idea whether I got a 5? (I’m predicting a 4 or 5 but I have no idea which of the two my score will be, and I need the 5 for credit.)
So how will my advisor know whether to register me for university physics or not?
Also, I plan on taking a proficiency exam before the start of the fall semester to test out of calc III, but those results won’t be known until august, but my registration is in June…so how am I supposed to know whether I register for calc III or not in June??

Previously on Questionable Content, we saw Roko come into Union Robotics for some work on her ankle while Hannelore took research nots as she sniffed tea during the work. We now return to find the work ending before Winlsow showing up to volunteer and being made to head a counseling session immediately.

I did this in my writing class. I've wrote fake love notes in other classes but it was done with students and had someone else's name on it that's not from them. I decided and had an idea to write one to the teacher. And the thing about this, my writing teacher is male and I'm signing another male classmates name on it. The note was saying he likes him and is asking him out to a restaurant. I wrote the note in a different class so I didn't get caught with it in class. I folded the note up with both their names signed on the front of it. I couldn't think of anyway to give it to the teacher, so I sat it on a random desk hoping someone would give it to the teacher as they saw the name. So it did happen, it was on my classmates desk and she gave it to the teacher.
He looked at it in a shocked way, but he didn't read it until 5 mintues later. When he picked it back up he read it. I sit in the front, I kept turning around looking at him. His eyes huge, he looked extremely uncomfortable. I could tell he read it multiple times. He set it aside and he still had that uncomfortable look. He later called him over to his desk and asked him if he wrote this. He crumbled it up and said he didn't. The teacher laughed. He said he wanted to take that up the the principal because that's inappropriate. The teacher told him it wasn't that serious. He blamed somebody else in the classroom for doing it.

I have fixed utility rates. My bills have basically doubled since getting this installation done (especially noticeable in shoulder season months; electrical consumption is 2-3x higher than pre installation).

I had the heat pump installed to save money on utility bills in the shoulder months. So far it's the opposite.

Has anyone tried playing her much in top lane? It's still too early in the patch to get a good idea of her strength (currently 55% win rate with a low pick rate) and she seems to have quite a few bad match-ups and would be perhaps utilized as a counter / pocket pick vs certain team comps.
I'd like to get a better feel for what her power spikes are, level-wise and item-wise, as well as any other advice for playing her in top lane that you wonderful voidlings might have. She would seem to be a lot of fun and her tunnels (I'm thinking a few hidden ones in side bushes and alcove) would make for some sneaky gank escapes! Any advice / tips / tricks you might have is greatly appreciated.

My dad took out whole life insurance policies for me when I was 3. I am now 27 and he wants to transfer them to me. The annual premium is $1,300, death benefit is $164,000, and cash value is $12,000. I have also been given an option to buy more without any additional underwriting.
I am graduating from law school now and will be doing biglaw, so will make a good salary ($215k the first year). I will probably have kids some day. Once I start earning, I will of course max out my Roth, 401k, do a backdoor Roth if my firm allows, and invest in an index fund. I keep reading that whole life insurance is a bad idea, but don't really understand why. If I'm saving/investing in these other ways, it seems like it could be a good way to diversify, and I would try to think of it as insurance, not an investment.
The wealth management advisor my dad uses said the value will never decrease, so it doesn't seem risky.
