Okay so my question is How to get to English language countries ? I'm Iranian and lately turned 20 I have no back ground of work and in result no money to spend. my family is quite poor and we hardly get to live . so I can't ask for anything from my parents . I have a diploma and currently studying in a low level university in iran. (computer science) but it's quite clear that the level of teaching and access here will result of no useful skill to be earned so I stopped trying hard for nothing . My parents said that they only can pay for my plane ticket . so What can i do ? to get out of this place that I like to call it hell . I've tried to hurt myself twice as well . bc I don't see myself to get any better in life so I thought it's better to end .

Hello-- We applied for my child's passport on March 1, and has been in process since then. We get a congressman to inquire for us, but now, we are traveling on Friday (6/9 at 1 pm). Nothing has changed. No appointment has been made by the representative office. I remember reading here that we can show up at Locator 57 between 6-8 am. Does anyone have any success doing that?

Over the last few months whenever I fall to sleep a symphony of pianos, harps, guitars, tubas / trombones, pianos, clarinettes, saxophones and even sometimes drums all start to gradually play whenever I try to sleep (to be fair they don't really sound that bad and it's not even loud, more café type loud)
What's confusing me about this is that there's literally nothing in my room that makes any noise, let alone a rhythmic noise / pattern that could prompt this behaviour, and I've never listened to music or watched anything to get me to sleep in the past before (until the music thingy starter obviously) and I've never listened to classical music before this started happening and whenever I do it just makes me sort of happy now.
Anybody know why?

My nMom was the usual abusive witch toward her five children. Our childhood was heavily-shaped by the torment and torture she inflicted upon us growing up.
She is what could be called a communal narc. Very busy out there doing "good works" before heading back home to mistreat us.
When my siblings and I were in our teens and becoming more difficult to dominate, she and my dad decided to become foster parents. nMom had strict rules about which placements they would accept:

• only infants less than a year old (she loved babies because they can't talk back and they are for the most part not walking yet)
  
• only infants whose parent(s) didn't have visitation rights (so she wouldn't have to deal with taking the foster kids to family visitation)
  
• only infants who were considered special needs (so she would get more money for them)
  
• only infants who qualified for government-subsidized day care (she was a SAHM and didn't technically need to use it but of course she outsourced them there 50 hours a week for FREE)
  

Anyway, she took in a lot of kids over a decade, most of them fairly short-term. But there was one who actually ended up staying with them until she was 8 years old before finally being adopted out.
Fast-forward to that little girl who grew up and got on Facebook. I will never forget the day I learned that she was blasting my nMom publicly for being a shitty foster parent.

So I'm not from the US and have only read bits of this online. But from what I've read it suggests that the US military has billions of dollars that are unaccounted for, and as far as I am aware this is a relatively recent revelation (as in a couple of years)?
Could these lost billions be money that they are paying to company's like Lockheed Martin to help reverse engineer UAP's?
As well as funds to try and keep a lid on all of this and this is why it's unaccounted for?

From my experience of being alive, I have come to the realization that guys are only respected for as long as we keep providing be it with our parents or in relationship with our spouses.
No one gives a fuck about how I am feeling, or anything. It is really difficult to make friends despite me being a chill person.

Long story short, I had an ultrasound yesterday to check out my gallbladder / bile duct / liver / pancreas.
I rang the Drs maybe 20 minutes ago to book in a followup telehealth appt for Friday. Just a phone call to reassure me that I'm fine.
Anyway maybe 5 minutes ago I got a phone call asking for an in-person appointment ASAP this afternoon.
I can only assume that it wasn't a good ultrasound.
Just needed to tell someone.

Mine is a hot shower. Sure, I like playing roleplaying games and watching stuff on streaming as much as the next guy, but hot water on my skin? That's where it's at. Sometimes you have to appreciate the simple things in life.
There are other things I like, of course. Aside from the aforementioned roleplaying games (see the second half of my username to find out which ones), I'm a big fan of technology, hockey, and animals. I have 2 cats and a bearded dragon, and am happy to share pics of any of them!
I haven't talked about myself professionally yet, and that's because there isn't much to say. I'm still in college, because I took a looong break from it and worked retail for a while because of mental health issues and later the pandemic. I'm in an engineering field and am hoping that'll go well. So no, my shit is not yet together, but when it is together, it'll be REALLY together.
So... politics and religion. Touchy subject which I'm approaching with all the grace of a bull in a china shop, but suffice it to say, I'm an atheist and I'm pretty far to the left. I staunchly refuse to date a conservative (not that they'd be particularly interested in my "child murder" supporting ass anyway), but I honestly don't care if you believe in a higher power, the universe, reincarnation, the flying spaghetti monster, whichever you like. Just keep in mind that I won't believe in them.
Oh, and one other important thing I won't do - reproduce. My bloodline dies with me, as a friend once told me. I don't hate children, though I do feel a certain discomfort around them (was the youngest growing up, never really had to change a diaper or whatever), like I don't know what to say or how to behave. But that's not the main reason I don't want kids. Mostly it's because I have mental health issues that I've been struggling with throughout my life and I think that even if I did want to have kids, it would be selfish of me to pass that on.
Physically, I'm 135 lb, five foot five inches, I have brown hair, blue eyes and I'm white. Picture will be available upon request. I prefer women who are average or slender like me. Oh, and you can be any height, I don't care, I only mention it because you likely do and I don't want an awkward situation where you start talking to me and find out I'm too short for your liking.

Has anyone else encountered an issue with Stata 18 where ampersands in string values are converted to “ _” (space followed by a short underscore)?
I’ve only found one post about this online, and no answers on how to resolve it. I imported the data from Excel and then saved as a .dta file.

I am using my Artisan Hien since 2.5 years now. I was very interested to try out the Hayate Otsu and the „new“ Zero in gorgeous orange color so I ordered both and they arrived today. So after playing with them I realized that both of them feel faster than my Hien. So my question: Does Hien get slower over time and do Zero or Otsu break in and get slower? Right now I feel best on the Zero which I’m a bit surprised about. Oh and they feel sooo premium omg.

There is this girl and I don’t know what it is about her but I’m not myself. I go through these waves or phases where I NEED to have someone to fixate on. I’m 9 weeks and would like to wait as long as feasibly and professionally possible, because we dealt with a miscarriage so I am sensitive on announcing to anyone.
I’m in California, work hybrid and mainly a desk job. The only issue is we’ve had some turnover and everyone who hired me last year has since left the company, so I would have to tell HR since I don’t have a designated supervisor at the moment.

My husband splits chores with me really well and while I love that, it's not that impressive to me. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that my husband genuinely splits the household chores (and not just claim he is while doing less than his share). But as an able bodied adult, taking care of the house is just another responsibility.
What does make me fall for him is that he takes initiative with house work. He has regrouted the shower because he noticed it was cracking. He vacuums just because he notices messes on the floor. He takes ownership of the nights that he cooks, down to making sure we have the ingredients for it at the beginning of the week.
When we first moved in together, we agreed that he would do dishes and I would do laundry (He said I did dishes wrong and I said he did laundry wrong. Now we don't argue :)). I've never had to prompt him to do the dishes. He'll collect glasses through the house, wash everything, and wipe down the kitchen surfaces. I never have to remind him.
I know it's considered a bit silly to brag about guys who take on responsibilities that women usually need to take on ("the bar is in the floor" and all that). But I think it's reasonable to be excited about this aspect of my life. It's so relaxing to not have to manage my house by myself. I have a partner that genuinely takes that burden off of me and I love it and him so much.

My daughter is starting to compete, and I’m on the lookout for a decent dry-erase dressage test board. The ones I’ve seen seem to be pretty flimsy. Does anyone have one they recommend? Or even and alternate way for her to study her tests? I am not super well versed in the sport and she’s just starting out and joining IEA for this upcoming season. We’re getting her signed up for lots of shows this summer for practice, especially off the farm.

I recently got a new job through a connection at my last job. I essentially was headhunted by the CEO of a company and now I report directly to him. It’s a great job, good company and it was a vertical promotion. I have a good relationship with the CEO as well, we both have similar interests outside of work and came up through the similar track so we’re both used to long hours, pre-Covid workplace culture, etc. I’m excited to work under him because he’s one of the smartest guys I’ve ever met. Since starting, I now oversee the work of two analysts, guy and a gal, both in their early 20s. The girl, we’ll call her “Kate” is 21 and graduated college early and has been with the company for 1.5 which is actually a long time since they’re a new and growing company. Without stereotyping too much, she’s definitely a Gen-z, probably a bit entitled, thinks she’ll be VP in a year, a bit overly confident, comes across as a bit standoffish. Which is fine and I think to be expected. I probably was that way too when started my career. She doesn’t engage with me as much as the other analyst and I think that’s probably due a bit to her overconfidence. I’m 32 so have about a decade of working experience at this point. From what I can tell, she can definitely improve in areas but I think overall she’s a decent employee and I hopefully can help her improve.
Which brings me to the issue at hand. The CEO, does not like her at all. From the day I started, he’s told me how much he and others in the office can’t stand her, how she’s backstabbed the other analyst and even made several comments about her appearance. This has made me very uncomfortable. Being a small company, there’s not really an HR department and the woman who runs HR (among other jobs) doesn’t like Kate at all. I’m not even sure how she got hired if there’s so much disdain for her.
Every time Kate gets brought up, I usually give some kind of short, milquetoast response just to try and change the subject. What doesn’t help is that she is in a different regional office than myself and the CEO so he can talk about her freely without the risk of her finding out.
I’m really not sure how I should handle this situation. I’ve always had my employees backs when I was an equal to them, but I just started and really don’t have a lot of clout to stand up for this girl, or even know if it’s a hill worth dying on. But I don’t want her to quit or get fired because she definitely doesn’t deserve that. I’m hoping I can do my best to subtly improve her overall performance and make her a better team player so that perceptions may change about her but if the CEO doesn’t like her, it may be too late.
TLDR: new CEO doesn’t like young female analyst who is now my employee and says disparaging things about her. What to do?

Blighted corpse explosion ticks trigger the pre requisite skill reapers pursuit (you can see it on ur buff/cd bar, however those ticks dont seem to trigger crippling darkness it makes sense i guess since it would be perma stun, question in does it trigger crippling darkness (shadow damage amp)?
The skill says it's affected by darkness skills and i'm not sure if Blighted corpse explosion is considered that, i suppose it is since it trigers reapers pursuit.

I posted my shift on the pantry app for the first time and I’m not sure how I can be sure someone took it? I originally had a shift on 6/18 from 2-8 but I posted the shift because we’re supposed to go to my grandpas for Father’s Day. Is it no longer my shift if it’s gone from my schedule or does that just mean it’s been posted? I know that unless someone takes the shift it’s still my responsibility but idk how to know if I’m in the clear. It’s no longer showing up so I think someone took it but I don’t actually know. It’s my first time actually posting a shift so I have no clue, please let me know.
