Tyler Lorraine Langley of Sherman Oaks is a racist. And I’ll keep saying it.
The post reads: Woke up to being bcc’d into this email by my coworker. I work for a virtual call center. Apparently, Tyler Lorraine Langley was skeptical after submitting their application and went off. My coworker attached the entire email thread and nowhere did they ask for any personal information. Two crazy points: the coworker Tyler is speaking to is actually white. Not sure why Tyler is trying to convince her into thinking otherwise based on hearing her voice. Also, Tyler is the close relative of Drakeo The Ruler’s girlfriend Noel Bianca Langley @noelbiancaa on instagram, worked for Karen Civil, and uses black slang. All while still being a racist.

2023.05.01 23:17 Christizzzle Finding pet friendly housing from out of state?

I’m been trying to find an apartment for a couple weeks now and I think I’m finally at the freaking out stage, so looking for advice here.
I will be working towards a masters degree at tufts vet school in North grafton. I think my issue is finding something pet friendly and I’ve come to realize you guys are not as pet friendly as ATL. I have two birds (parrots really but I think birds sound better as a renter) they are very chill and haven’t caused me any issues renting in ATL. No noise complaints, no damage, and I’m a clean freak. I also have a medium size dog. Also very well behaved as she did service dog training but I have since retired her because I did an experimental treatment that 100% resolved my issues and it’s more trouble than it’s worth bringing her everywhere. Since my treatment was experimental idk how long it will last so I’m keeping her. She is a registered therapy dog as well. So basically very well behaved and doesn’t even bark. Getting rid of them is not a option because: 1. No 2. I’ll be doing human-animal bond research and professionally it would look really bad 3. I plan on still volunteering with my therapy dog and might include her in research projects.
I’m willing to compromise on everything else but the pets. Coming from Atlanta I’m used to spending an hour driving so anything within an hour from campus will work. Safety wise- anything and everything in Massachusetts is safer than ATL so that is not a concern. Hopefully something under 1600 since I’ll be on a grad school budget but I’m fine working to make ends meet.
I’ve sent out 30+ emails and only got a couple no vacancy responses. I tried the Facebook groups and only got spam. Craigslist is scary. What would you guys recommend on securing a place? I’m trying to move beginning of July so maybe it’s too soon? Should I just go to Massachusetts in person and beg? Any insight would be much appreciated.

2023.04.27 03:10 ye_old_asking_person Are there any private sellers anymore?

Everyone on Marketplace and Craigslist is curbstoning. Or they've sold or are selling five cars at once.
I've always heard to buy from an individual. Idk why but I don't think there are any left anyway. Everyone is illegally selling or lying taking pictures of their cars in front of houses but are dealers. I don't trust any of them.
Edit: I'm in Atlanta GA. There's plenty of market. Looking at Civics and Accord. For around 5k. Popular cars, I know. My frustration centers a lot around the people that are pretending to sell "My car...". And you can see they have five other "My cars...". I hate having to search phone numbers so I can see them go to the dealers business. I just get sick of having to be a detective to buy a car. I'd buy from a bhph but then I'm researching them. Reviews are useless. Sorry for the rant and offending people trying to make ends meet. Just the way of the world.

2023.04.26 01:59 GeorgiaPeach2008 Where to find bisexual men for regular hookups - please read completely

*Asking on behalf of ex-boyfriend who does not have a reddit account.
He is a bisexual 56 year old male who "bisexual on only a physical level". He has no romantic emotional attraction to men. He used have a regular hookup but awhile between his mother passing and him having to put that on hold and tell his hook sorry I can't meet up and then his phone when to technology purgatory and wiped all his contacts (he didn't have his contacts set to back up) he lost the hookups number and he has never reached back out to him. Unfortunately he never knew his last name or any additional info about him or I might have been able to find him via avenues in my job (I work in the legal industry). He found this hookup and previous hookups via Craigslist.
Does anyone know of any good legitimate websites or apps for older adult bisexual males?
We don't live near any major cities. Closest major city is Atlanta which is about 2 hours north.
*He would only want 1 to 2 regular hookups and no more. Not a rotation stock.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask or direct message me.

2023.04.26 01:48 Kats117 4 Mo Lease Takeover (Midtown)

I am looking for someone to take over the remainder of my lease (through 9/7/2023) in an apartment community in Midtown Atlanta, near Piedmont Park. I have already moved out of the apartment, so need someone ready to move in ASAP.
• Approximately 4 months in length (Present – September 7, 2023)
• 1 bedroom /1 bathroom (720 sq ft)
• Pet-friendly
• WasheDryer & Microwave included
• Unfurnished
• Amenities: Workout center, business center, pool, courtyard with fountain, dry cleaning, gated/controlled access parking, pet park, elevators, locked mailroom, and more
• The apartment is facing away from the street and on the 2nd floor, with no neighboring unit on one side
• Rent is $1,960/mo. All utilities are paid through the landlord besides electricity and are not included in the rent. I usually ended up paying $2,100 in total for rent + amenities & utilities
• No security deposit is required, but we will both need to pay a takeover fee to transfer the lease. Total move-in cost for you would be a $500 takeover fee + $65 application fee. Rent is generally due on the 4th day of each month.
Please message me with any questions or if you are interested in the apartment and we can work on next steps, which include filling out an application with proof of income for the leasing office.

2023.04.14 19:02 Rumble-and-Roar "Fix and Flip" on ATL Craigslist - legit?

First time home buyer here. Husband and I are in the process of looking around OTP Atlanta. I'll browse through Craigslist and see a few homes for sale in our price range that are often labeled "Fix and Flip." We're not looking to flip, but we're not afraid of a home that needs some TLC if it means the initial cost is lower. Thoughts on the legitimacy of these postings? I know scammers love to get people with rentals, but what about purchasing? One example here: https://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/reo/d/marietta-cobb-county-marietta-wheeler-hs/7605307032.html

2023.04.10 05:05 Azsdude Bought a vehicle off Craigslist and got scammed; watch out folks!

I wanted to share with my fellow Knoxvilians a recent experience I had with a purchasing a car off Craigslist, in hopes that I can prevent someone else from getting scammed like I did. I posted in legalhelp and insurance but wanted to share with my local community as well.
My wife and I have been shopping for a minivan for our growing family, and I have saved searches on Facebook and Craigslist. Last month I got an alert for a base model 2022 Sienna in Atlanta for $26,000 which seemed like a great deal. The seller had an Atlanta phone number and we communicated by text, eventually deciding on a place and time to meet in Atlanta. I drove down with my brother-in-law and met the lady in a Publix parking lot. The van was a bit beat up and had been smoked in, the seller explaining that she had it rented out on Turo for a year and had decided to move on to an SUV. She had a legit-appearing Georgia title (with security thread, etc) in hand with no liens, and had a driver's license which matched the information on the title. After checking that the VIN on the title matched the car, I paid for a search on my phone (I had done a free search on it before taking the trip) which showed no accidents or theft report.
After negotiating, we completed a bill of sale, filled out and signed the back of the title, and exchanged keys and cash. I drove the van home and registered it the next day at the county clerk, paid the tax and got my tag.
About a week later while I was at work and the van was in our closed garage, my wife noticed a tow truck cruising around my subdivision, finally stopping in front of my house. The driver came to our door saying that he was there to pick up a minivan which had been stolen from Avis Rental. My wife alerted me and I rushed home, calling the police on the way. I arrived home to the tow truck and two police cars in front of our house. I showed the cops the paperwork that I had. They checked in their database and saw that the van was registered to me and not reported stolen, at which time the repo guy got on the phone with his boss saying that he was trying to get it reported stolen on the spot. The cops also checked the photo of the seller's driver's license which I had saved on my phone, and much to our dismay found that it didn't return any record. After standing around rechecking their stolen vehicle database every few minutes, the cops finally gave up and left, sending the repo man on his way.
About a week later a detective and several more officers showed up at our house saying that they finally got a stolen vehicle report and had to impound the van. The detective said that the van was stolen off Avis's rental lot in Atlanta in November 2022, and apparently Avis decided not to report it stolen until end of March 2023. He said that the seller's license was forged and that although the Georgia title we turned in to the county clerk appeared to be a real title, it did not reflect any official title record. He told me that apparently this has happened in TN as well. He is working with Atlanta PD to try to track down the person who sold me the van, but indicated that hopes of finding her are slim, and that she was probably just a hired front person anyways. He suggested I call my insurance and find an attorney to see if they could help in any way.
I immediately called Progressive insurance; it took them a while to grasp my situation because apparently the claims person had never heard of anything like this happening, but after a few days they called saying that they would not cover the vehicle since it was not stolen directly from me.
After contacting numerous lawyers both here and in Georgia, I found that I may have a decent case against Avis for the van, particularly given the fact that they waited almost five months to report it stolen, however no lawyer has yet stepped up to represent me and it does not seem that the odds of finding one are high given the time and effort involved with this kind of case.
Bottom line, we are out a ton of cash and back to square one in looking for a minivan. I have purchased at least 10 vehicles over the past few decades and have never encountered or even heard of a scam like this, and still not really sure what additional precaution I could have taken. I hate the idea of buying from a car dealer in this crazy market, but after this experience I'm thinking I just don't have a choice.

Tldr: Purchased a minivan from a person on craigslist; VIN and title both clear, with seller's ID matching title information. Van was later reported stolen by true owner and impounded from me. Turned out that both title and seller's license were fraudulent. Seller is in the wind and insurance won't cover.
