2023.03.30 13:11 lmyslinski How to consume k8s events in a distributed fashion?

The Kubernetes docs have some documentation on how events work and how to work with them, but I find that approach to be far from ideal:
https://kubernetes.io/docs/reference/using-api/api-concepts/#efficient-detection-of-changes
The problem I want to solve:
Detecting changes to k8s objects in a distributed fashion and taking action upon certain events.
With the watch mechanism, it seems pretty cumbersome to achieve. The data I collect is bound to a single instance for resource version modification, so I can't really have multiple containers collecting the data for redundancy.
I didn't find a good solution online for this, but I can't believe this hasn't been addressed yet.
My current ideas circulate around having multiple clients consume events for the resources I'm interested in, calculating the hash of each event, and pushing unique events onto some queue. Then I can reliably consume the events from the queue without worrying about missing some data.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this

2023.03.30 13:10 Temporary_Antelope58 I think most people are self centered

I realized that most people are self centered, i dont think theres really anytjing wrong with that. But it tends to make people view there life expeirences harder or worse than others to give them a reason. Life is only formed through hardship, its those experinces and how u deal with them that mold you. I dont believe anyone who says they have it harder than others could have really lived a terrible life. People ive met with the sadest stories tend to be the most understanding unself centered people ive ever met exceptions, thats why i know that it all depends on how you take it. You can let it control how you think, how you react, Or you can think without that need to validate your troubles in the past and try to understand and validate others. Ans example of this is a kid saying they have had it hard because of there race, or gender, or life experinces. That because of those things, everyone else has it better than them and you should feel bad amd confort them. This is wrong, you should feel emotion towards these things yes, do t forget them, but dont let them make you. You shouldnt have to say things like, "i think i would know im insert race or gender..." or "i was * insert trauma* so...". I think in life everything is about maturity, experince builds that, you can be mature in different things. But many people forget this, that you can learn more, be a better person, learn from the past and not use it as a weapom against people u care or dont care about just to havr any advantage or validation.

2023.03.30 13:10 swethaapriyaaa Why might it be fitting for you to examine this Arsis Green Hills Review KR Puram?

The improvement regions in Bangalore are creating with such an overabundance of speed that every so often you see new developers watching out, building one or various activities of condos, domains, or selling private plots, etc.
The market is exorbitantly full to the point that it is challenging to drop by the ideal producer and right land adventure an open door. Countless these developers are not endorsed or permitted by the public power experts to start improvement. Anyway they get it done, they sell properties, gain from them, and a short time later evaporate, leaving the buyers destroyed which they scarcely rise up out of.

I had some awareness of these things as I am a news buff and I keep eyes on the close by and public business news. I have been working for quite a while and toward the beginning of this current year, I bought a loft in one of the known ventures in the city. This adventure is named Arsis Green Hills and it is made by Arsis Developers. I'm happy with respect to the purchase and I am one of those lucky people who put assets into the ideal land, a potential open door at the best time.
I'm forming this Arsis Green Hills Bangalore Review to help numerous people who might get found out inland. This Arsis Green Hills Review is to take the chance of buyers or land buffs through my purchase trip and help them with perceiving how it ordinarily works.
Along these lines, last year in the middle of September, I started looking for a loft accessible to be bought in and around Bangalore. As I work in the city in an assumed association, I wished to get settled here.

I told my close associates, neighbors, and office people about my objectives and referenced them to share their understanding with regards to this issue. In the meantime, I was searching for trustworthy tasks on the web too. During my request, I ran over various Arsis Green Hills Reviews KR Puram, yet I wouldn't settle down on one project out of the blue early. I truly take a gander at many projects, I talked with various makers, I visited numerous regions, yet nothing had all the earmarks of being great for myself as well as my lifestyle. During a comparative time, I stumbled on one Green Hills Review talking about the incredible errand section entryway, open lofts, rich vegetation in the including, sports workplaces, and that is just a hint of something larger.
This was adequate for me to make the essential choice and plan a course of action. The following week, I spoke with the project manager, and the associates. They helped me with tending to all of my inquiries, requests, and questions. They informed me about the purchasing cycle, finance support from known banks, smooth movement of reports, and how straightforwardness is stayed aware of through the collaboration. I was astonished and ensured to the point of planning a site visit, which I did.
Likewise, clearly, the subsequent I entered the project I understood that all of the Arsis Green Hills Reviews on the web are legitimate and the project is adequate. It is an ideal fit on the off chance that you are looking for a spot as a home around here.

2023.03.30 13:10 theraig32 Political economy at kings vs business Management at either bristol, bath or Edinburgh?

Hi, I applied to a variety of courses because I was not certain on what I wanted to do just trying to narrow down my options.

I'm wondering about how the employment/internship opportunities compare from doing a (most likely BA) in political economy at KCL vs. Business management at either Bristol, Bath or Edinburgh. I'd like to get a variety of internships during university, possibly in consulting, banking and marketing Does the location and "prestige" of King's college supplement the fact that the course is not management-focused, and what opportunities exist for political economy graduates from kings?

Also, in terms of overall experience, culture, location and ranking, and quality of course, how would you rank bath vs bristol vs Edinburgh? would a political economy BA degree from kings stop me from doing things that a management degree would enable me to do?

2023.03.30 13:10 SarsaparillaCorona Looks like there's new 116710s coming out (CF, ARF), if I can afford to wait, should I?

I'm considering picking up a CF 116710 BLNR but from what I've heard it's just a Gen 2 CF with an updated movement, meaning the Crystal is still kinda garbo and the waterproofing isn't ideal. There's also the ARF announcement which has CF bezels and whatnot and that might be better depending on if the movement is a lemon or not.
I know Crystals and waterproofing can be fixed with Frankensteining but from what I hear the plan might be to sell through the V2 cases with the new movement then make adjustments to the case once those parts are all sold. I COULD buy a CF now and send it off, but quite frankly I'd prefer to wait, buy a better watch and simply get it serviced and waterproofed at a local rep friendly maker instead of spending a bunch of extra money on making a Frankenstein and having it be out of commission for potentially months, and in the same time something else could come out and be better.
Am I being silly? Should I just buy the damn watch or am I not alone in waiting to see what happens?
Also tiny question, I've noticed on a lot of the movements the balance wheel doesn't have weights. Does it just not need them? Is it too expensive to install them? Also how accurate can you get one of these movements with a proper service OTB?

2023.03.30 13:10 Boring-Move9003 Police complaints , should I just sue the officer ?

I'm not gonna name and shame as I'm sure I'll get karma butchered .
But I've file a lengthy complaint against an officer.
Do documentation has been brought forth . Since the irruption I'm my home and arrest for witch I have requested a copy of the warrant for over 8 months now and no reply.
The officer arrested and detained me on little to no ground and absolutely no facts .
I want to my ex's house as she was violating court order visitation with my children and banged at the door a bit . She claims I broke in and entered . I lived in that house for 2 years I'd know how to get in if I wanted to . I did not .
The officer in question has postponed interrogation on the 12 October 2022 and failed to schedule a further full availability was given from me to my solicitor to arrange.
Since then I've requested contact multiple times trough the police department/ solicito directly .
All have been ignored.
The officer however has kept in good contact with my ex and also her solicitor. I have proof via email and letters he has spread missinformation . At this point due to the lengthy contact with my ex to witch she has confirmed in a family court hearing.
Now I have reason to believe the officer deliberately refused to do his job properly to favour my ex in trial and the accusations not being addressed and the accusations from the officer that I refused contact have caused the court to be forced to make a unjust decision in regards to me and my children.
I suspected unprofessional behaviour and involvement with my ex. I suspect delirate sabotage . I suspect defamation.
Now the officers handling the complaint have failed to make contact . Address any of this . It's been 2 months and I've given a further email and request of update to both the professional standard department and the new assigned officer.
The have refused to give any info , timeframe or acknowledge the complaint in its entirety.
This arresting officer has a pubblic history and articles about his brutality and unprofessionality.
I'm so tired I want to be in court against this officer .
Should I file against him ? Should I wait a little longer for the professional standards department?

2023.03.30 13:09 GitLegit What self respecting duo runs from a solo?

Had this happen to me twice in a single game today.
How low does your confidence in your own abilities and those of your teammate have to be that you choose to high tail it from a single dude with a crossbow and a new army. A new army for Christ's sake. Like I get it when someone's hiding in a bush with a mosin sniper spitzer or whatever that you don't wanna push into that because that's just annoying.
But when a solo is the one chasing you, into the most disadvantageous positions, and you haven't lost any health or ammo, haven't used up your dark sight, you know you have better weapons, and you just choose to leg it?
What's a solo to do to get some proper games in?

2023.03.30 13:09 iquack123 Newbie Questions

Have a couple of questions regarding game stuff hope some help;

1- In most games more equipment slots = more OP, imagine barb can carry 4 weapons vs other classes with less. Making barb getting more a lot more stuff (aspect and stats) from more ways that other normal classes do. (Necro can have use 2 hand scythe or use 2 weapons). How does one balence this? Because is like have more equipment = more stats then everybody else.

2- how do spells scale? i know more points more dmg. But the more dmg a weapon deal more dmg spell will also do? Lets say necromancer can use 2h scythe or 2 *instert weapon* and have still another slot for shield/his lantern stuff etc.
Is better to go 2h weapon because more base dmg = more spell dmg?

3- How do spell scale? Above i ask if they scale base of weapon type (usully 2h weapon have more base dmg than lets say dagger). If a spell have physical atribute (like bone/corpse explosion) getting an item that increase X% physical dmg that also boost the spell?

thx <3

2023.03.30 13:09 DenCooper89 Will cryptocurrencies affect everyday transactions in the future?

Cryptocurrencies have the potential to significantly impact everyday transactions in the future. Here are some ways in which cryptocurrencies could affect everyday transactions:
  1. Faster and cheaper transactions: Cryptocurrencies allow for fast and inexpensive transactions without the need for intermediaries like banks or payment processors. This could lead to quicker and cheaper transactions for everyday purchases, such as buying goods and services online or sending money to friends and family.
  2. Increased financial inclusion: Cryptocurrencies could potentially make it easier for people who are underbanked or unbanked to participate in the global economy. Cryptocurrencies can be accessed from anywhere in the world with an internet connection, making them an attractive option for those who don't have access to traditional financial services.
  3. More secure transactions: Cryptocurrencies use advanced encryption and security measures to protect transactions from fraud and hacking. This could help to reduce the risk of fraudulent transactions, which could make everyday transactions more secure and reliable.
  4. Greater control over personal finances: Cryptocurrencies allow users to have greater control over their personal finances, as they can manage their own wallets and control their own transactions without the need for intermediaries. This could help to empower individuals and give them more autonomy over their financial lives.
However, it's important to note that cryptocurrencies are still a relatively new and evolving technology, and there are many challenges and risks associated with their use. These include price volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and security concerns. As such, it remains to be seen how cryptocurrencies will ultimately impact everyday transactions in the future.

First time AW owner here - whenever I play podcast from my iPhone in the car or when using my AirPods the AW just shows Podcast view with play/pause control the whole time. It does not snap back to clock view.
How do I stop this happening or is it a feature?
I would have assumed since the phone is playing the podcast the controls are shown on the phone. I lose all functionality of the watch and have to back out to menu but it keeps going back to podcast view.

2023.03.30 13:09 Va3V1ctis Blueprint on how we will they implement CBDCs (be vigilant fellow crypto redditors)

This is the blueprint on how we will they implement CBDCs on us (as I can see it).

  1. In the beginning we will some articles that countries are exploring or testing in one way or another CBDCs (we are already seeing this btw).
  2. First CBDCs will offer some incentives (probably some bonus, maybe lower interest rate, an additional bonus, when you spend a certain amount, like cash back) for us to use, so regular Joe will get in the habit of using them.
  3. Media will start reporting increasing articles about cash, regular bank accounts and crypto being bad for economy, planet, ecology, and more and more people are using crypto only for illegal activities and then MSM will start producing more and more articles about benefits of CBDCs, some of the mentioned benefits will be, if everybody would be using CBDCs, there could be lower taxes, there will be no more funding of terrorism, foreign entities will not be able to interfere with our policies, there will be bigger transparency of government spending, there will be more social policies.
  4. There will probably be some event, where the benefits of CBDCs instead of cash or non-government crypto will be shown and benefits of using CBDCs will be exaggerated.
  5. Slowly cash and regular bank accounts will disappear, as more and more regular people will believe this lies, and be replaced with CBDCs, this wont happen overnight, but they will slowly stop printing new cash and cash will die out, all new accounts will be changed into government crypto accounts.
  6. Next phase will be introducing penalties for cash users, non-government approved crypto and old bank account users (some of the penalties will be probably be, higher costs for paying with cash, higher monthly cost of having a bank account, slower bank to bank transactions, less people working in banks, canceling cash payments for bills).
  7. Then slowly screws will tighten in: mandatory spending of user funds, social score funds, all benefits added in the first point will disappear, full control of your wallet (with blockade, removing coins from your wallet if you do not comply, etc.)!
We need to be vigilant and fight the implementation of this, most of all, we need to be educated and educate all people, so this scenario does not happen, ever!
Do you agree with this (somewhat simple) blueprint, would you add something that we should be watching like hawks, what are your fears with CBDCs, how do you think they will be implemented on all of us, comment bellow! ;)

2023.03.30 13:09 HedgeAppleJoe There is a lot to post today on Stocktwits and here from the final part of the pretrial. Stay Tuned and keep an eye on this underlying point as we discuss damages! The effect of SEP's(Standard Essential Patents) If you are have an SEP you have to follow JEDEC if not then you don't!!!!

This is point 1 from Jason Sheasby Motion in Limine
HINT: Jason wants these patents to not be SEP's
example from Jason: "Netlist’s experts will not prove infringement in this case by claiming that the patents are SEPs. Instead, they will prove infringement based on the technical operation of the products. This is consistent with Netlist’s final supplemental interrogatory response on the issue:
"Samsung has not contended that any of Netlist’s patents in this case are SEPs. To the contrary, Samsung has repeatedly and unequivocally stated that Netlist’s patents are not essential. Netlist served an interrogatory to Samsung seeking the following: β€œWith respect to each asserted claim of Netlist Patents-in-Suit, identify whether it is or is not an β€˜Essential Patent Claim’ as defined in JEDEC Manual of Organization and Procedure JM21T (September 2020) Β§ 8.2.1, and Set Forth Your Complete Basis for that conclusion.”

2023.03.30 13:09 1halfgrover Person Below Me Starting At The Same Salary As Me. What Do I Do?

The other day I interviewed a candidate with my boss for a position directly under me, as a Software Engineer.
Currently, I’m a one-man department that has been working at this company for just over 18 months. I develop and maintain 3 corporate websites, 2 client dashboards, an app, and various other systems.
This person seemed to have about the same experience as me when I first started out at the company (zero, but a good portfolio), which made me believe they’d be a perfect fit to nurture and support. So we offered them the job.
Well, today I found out that they will be on the same salary as me. It’s not an insanely high salary, but it’s something that I had to β€œprove myself” for over a year in order to get, and I’m very proud of it.
Now, I’m not one to try and push people down and I think it’s fantastic that they managed to get a good salary on their first gig in this industry, but now I feel a little bit undervalued. Not so much because they’re earning the same amount as me, but because the company is effectively equating me in worth to someone with far less experience.
Naturally, I’m feeling a little bit peeved about this, and I’m not sure how to go about it.
I’m on very good terms with my boss, and I want to say something, but I don’t want to put a strain on the relationship. Especially since me getting up and leaving isn’t a huge option (I’m very far away from the industry hotspot).

2023.03.30 13:08 New_Hawaialawan No 1099 Form

I worked several jobs during 2022. I am unsure how to report income for two of those jobs.
The first, I was hired for a short-term online gig and received $1,000.

The second, I worked for a new small business and received approximately $6,000.
Neither of those provided me any tax forms, like a Form 1099. However, for my own situation, I absolutely DO want to claim that extra income. How would I go about doing that if neither party provided any documentation on their end?

2023.03.30 13:08 modernro Switched from 48" to CX to 42" C2, need some input with equalizer settings, any help would be appreciated!

Hey so i recently switched from a 48" CX to a 42" C2 and the sound options are not great. I didn't think going down in size would make the TV speaker usage suffer like this. I'm thinking it's the TV size and how far off it's from the desk to bounce the sound off.
Any way to make this work I tried all the AI sound options and sound tuning but did not enjoy any of it. Then I found the manual equalizer settings which got me to a certain point of enjoyment.
I just wanted to see if anyone made some fine-tuned equalizer settings for this TV they could share with me. I am currently using this TV desk mounted with a monitor arm and I kept the sound setting to stand mounted.
Once again, any thoughts on this would be great!

2023.03.30 13:08 DenCooper89 How I will be able to earn from binance?

There are several ways to earn money on Binance, depending on your interests, skills, and risk tolerance. Here are some common ways to earn money on Binance:
