“I’m going, I’m going! Gojids aren’t— khh-aah! — exactly limber in their older years, Sasha! Right, I don’t see anyone in this hallway either, you can come in.”
Sasha clambered through the window after her talkative gray-quilled friend, slipping through with significantly less effort despite her larger frame. The Rising Star was laughably unsecure; windows were unlocked and at chest height, with no alarm system to speak of. The hotel was in some sort of lockdown due to the exterminator presence, all residents and staff hiding behind locked doors. It would be an issue if their target was stowed in a room, but at least the halls were empty. All that left for security was the exterminators gathered at the entrance, and—

“Get back!”
An extended claw stopped her from tripping straight into an intersection, as Burai forced her back into the hallway. “There’s cameras here, they’ll spot you!”
“Haven’t they already seen you? You’re standing right in their view.”
“No, they… I mean, yes, but nobody’ll care about a Gojid in the halls. To a surveillance AI scanning a spaceport hotel, that’s business as usual. But as soon as a human steps out here, security will be notified about a ‘potential predation incident’. Just stay there, and let me… let… w-what?”
“Burai? What’s going on?”
Burai was staring down the hall, eyes rapidly flitting to focus on something which she couldn’t see from her view in the adjacent hall. His jaw was entirely slack for several seconds before he managed to collect himself.
“The, uh… cameras. The cameras are shut down. All of them, they’re staring at the ground and their lights are out. I think you can come out now.”
They had little time to spare, and hesitation would only hurt their chances. She paced out into the corridor alongside Burai, casting a glance down both ways. It was as he’d said; every camera was unlit and staring loosely at the floor. Likely Trish’s doing. No way to tell if (or when) they’d reactivate, so they had to get moving. Burai apparently thought the same, though his relatively stubby legs meant his sprint was about level with her stride.
As they moved through the hall at slightly less than record pace, Sasha began taking in her surroundings. It could be useful to memorize if they had to leave the way they came, so she absorbed every detail she could as they ran like hell/jogged with mild exertion. Orange walls, painted in a stepped gradient from burnt orange to a light cream. A fascinating choice for a world where the native species had orange-colored blood, but apparently they couldn’t be bothered to pretend that prey should be scared of anything bearing the color of their blood anymore. She had to admit, it was a welcome change.
Lining the walls were an assortment of mounted displays. Arranged in a pattern which looked random but was carefully considered for visual balance, they showed an assortment of artwork from every species. She even thought she recognized a few human paintings, mixed alongside the rest of the dizzying collage.
Maybe she had, but it was hard to say for sure. She didn’t have time to get a good look before every panel suddenly went dark at once, with nothing in the way of warning or fanfare. For a brief instant, the hall was filled with rows of ominous black rectangles, before two white lines of text appeared on each and every one:

The panels switched back to their previous display of artwork almost too quickly to read the message. Sasha was left briefly wondering if she was simply hallucinating from the stress, but Burai’s once-again slack jaw dispelled that notion. He looked up at her, trying to say something but failing for lack of breath.
They were on floor zero. The elevators were disabled due to the lockdown, and the stairs were arranged in such a way that one needed to cross around half the building to get to the next one up (whoever was in charge of planning apparently didn’t consider fire a real issue). If they were to make it upstairs before the exterminators caught up with them, they couldn’t be constrained by Burai’s sluggish pace.
In one beautiful fluid motion, she tore off her jacket, wrapped it around Burai, and picked him up. The thick flame-resistant plastic fiber made for an excellent barrier against his spikes, shielding her from a moderately painful and very embarrassing impalement. Burai squeaked in shock, but didn’t protest; they both knew that he couldn’t keep up with an endurance hunter’s jog. Without even the bare imitation of caution, she tore off towards the stairs with Burai in tow. They couldn’t afford to lose time playing at caution when their target was three floors above them through a bizarrely labyrinthian series of stairs.

They’d hardly made it halfway through the second floor when their progress was rather rudely interrupted. A small contingent of exterminators milled about the entrance to the stairwell, too engrossed in conversation to notice the couple of interlopers rapidly skid to a stop and duck behind an archway.
In the reflection of an unpowered screen near the door, Sasha and Burai watched the exterminators from a ‘safe’ distance. The majority of them broke away to rush down another corridor, leaving only two at the stairs: a Venlil and Harchen, judging by their frames. Snippets of their conversation drifted down the empty hall, intermittently cut out by the screeching sound of a broken automatic door repeatedly trying and failing to close.
“—on the first floor, either. You sure they—”
“—way. It has to be here somewhere. ‘Course, Yawi—”
“—d never! You know, that human can’t tell the di—”
On the next screech, Burai made his move. With the noise of the door covering the sound of his approach, he managed to get within meters of the exterminators undetected. At the last second before they noticed his presence, he moved around to make it look like he’d come from another hallway. Then, he drew a breath.
“H-Help! Help me!”
The two wheeled around, flamethrowers already primed before they spotted their assailant. Gojid were generally less than respected owing to their nature as cured predators, but an old man screaming for help didn’t exactly spark fear. Their weapons lowered, and the Venlil flicked a tail in friendly greeting. The Harchen seemed less amused.
“What are you doing outside of your room, Gojid? The hotel’s on lockdown. We’ve gotten notice of a bio—”
“No, no, please don’t make me g-go back there! There’s a… a h-h…”
“A human in your room? Mind telling us what you were doing staying with one?”
“I heard… I heard crying on the outside of the door, so I let him in… I didn’t realize it was…”
The Venlil put a gentle paw over the shaking Gojid. “I understand. Don’t worry, its deception dies with us. You’re safe. Can you tell us what room it’s in now?”
“F-four.. nineteen.”
“I see. Kyura, go check out room 419. I’ll stay here and—”
“Wait! It’s got a… a…”
Burai didn’t finish, choosing to let himself devolve into another bout of feigned fear. In the absence of details, the two would imagine the human to be armed with whatever scared them most. His bet paid off; the Venlil rose to her feet and rushed after the Harchen with her weapon aimed slightly upward at what would be a human’s center mass.
He let his act continue for a few more seconds, apparently waiting until he was certain they wouldn’t double back before scrambling for the stairs. By the time he made his way up to the third floor, she was already beside him and panting slightly.
“What… was that?”
“Improv. You should try it sometime! Anyway, I don’t think we have much time before those idiots realize there’s no room 419 on this floor, so we’re really on the clock. You see what we’re looking for anywhere?”
Sasha kept breathing hard as she scanned the room, before wordlessly rushing off next to a window overlooking a side alley which connected to the one the rest of their their group was perched on. Underneath, a backpack emblazoned with the UN’s logo was stuffed haphazardly next to a vending machine. Apparently, it had been tossed there in a rush as the building was put under lockdown, rather than carefully hidden. She picked it up, looked it over, and nodded at Burai.
“Great. Although…” He looked around the room a few times before returning his attention back to her.
“...unless there’s a parachute in there, I’m not sure it matters much. The lower floors are crawling with exterminators. I don’t see any obvious exits, and I really don’t favor our odds for a 3-story fall. Sasha?”
“Burai, get over here.”
Burai sauntered over as fast as his legs would carry him. She gestured at the window with her head.
“...You can’t be serious.”
“I am. There’s a dumpster below us, we passed it earlier. Filled with fabric, probably a load of blankets they threw out. You’ll be fine. Just cover your head and land feetfirst.”
“Sasha, I think I’d rather burn— AHCK!—”
With Burai in one arm and the backpack in the other, Sasha kicked out the window screen and jumped before she could stop to regret the decision.

The brunt of the pain stabbed her side, as a couple of Burai’s spines slipped past her unzipped jacket to jab themselves in her torso. Aside from that minor embarrassing oversight, she was unharmed. Her complete lack of training was handily circumvented by sheer dumb luck and the merciful softness of discarded hotel bedding. By the time she reoriented herself, Burai was already dragging her out of the dumpster. Bedsheets clung to his spikes, but aside from his pride, he too seemed unharmed.
Another hand, or rather bandaged paw, pulled her to her feet. Tressa encircled her like a short fluffy snake, apparently checking for injuries. Satisfied after two coils, he switched to watching their flank as the rest of them regrouped and recuperated. James was helping Burai pick fabric from his spines. Trish eyed the backpack, before turning her attention to the spot of red at her side.
“Sasha, can you move?”
“Yes. It’s just a skin wound, I’ll be fine. Is Beast all set to go?”
James’ muffled voice rang out from behind her. “Practically raring, last I checked! And a good thing too, because we’re skipping town immediately. Don’t have any time for the usual runaround, not with all this unwanted attention.”
As they closed in on the main street, Sasha zipped up her jacket to cover the wound and slung the backpack over a shoulder. She tried to act normal and casual, though the most she could realistically manage in that regard was to cover any limp from the pain in her torso. The rest of them slipped into their rehearsed roles, immediately cutting any discussion about the situation in favor of meaningless small talk which nobody could take notice of. Hopefully, their acting would be enough to cover for her lack thereof.
The street was awash with people, a viscous fluid of bodies pulling every which way. The lively roar of activity would be enough to cover their tracks as they made their way back to Beast, even if the exterminators realized they had a runaway. Still, time worked against them. The sooner they could get going, the better.

Kelsen watched through the screen of a digital scope as the ragtag group of predators and predator diseased piled into their little barely-functional van, practically crushing each other for lack of space. Once they were packed in shoulder-to-shoulder like cattle, the pathetic thing sputtered to life and limped out into the street.
They must’ve assumed the van was untraceable owing to its advanced age. It was true that automated systems wouldn’t cooperate, but a tracker planted on the underside would have no issues. Their retreat would lead the law straight back to their den.
Well... OK, so maybe the law could wait a moment. Official practice dictated that anything “contaminated” by predators be burned without delay, but he just couldn’t have that. Since the idiotic Federation-wide ban on near-sentient surveillance AI a couple years ago, their leads on predator subversives were running thinner by the day. A raid could gather invaluable intel.
He already had a squad lined up, with body armor instead of hazard suits and kinetic weapons instead of flamethrowers. He’d even rallied up an investigator, a successfully reeducated human who hunted information rather than helpless prey. It would be such a shame to let all that go to waste and simply burn their hideout to ash; that could always come later. Besides, he’d put far too much effort into tracking this group to simply pour some napalm and call it a day.
His little raid would have to operate outside the law to get results. That hadn’t been an issue to arrange, of course, but it meant that if things went south they wouldn’t get any backup. He couldn’t afford to be hasty about this.
But he couldn’t afford to be passive, either. The facial recognition software they’d used to ID and track the Gojid was already skirting the law; their raiding party was actively flaunting it. Kelsen couldn’t let his noble work fall victim to the chains of bureaucracy.
If he wanted to get away with this, he’d have to do it tonight.

I posted here a few weeks ago (this is a different account as I forgot the login details - I know the user name was something like Psychonautist420, but I couldn’t remember what email I’d used to register), and someone volunteered to help me but, the problem is, she’s in the US, we only communicate via WhatsApp and she doesn’t really grasp the immediacy or urgency of the situation (she also doesn’t really have much understanding of neurodiversity) and there’s also a 6 hour time difference.
To recap (and much of this doesn’t sound believable, but I can PROMISE you it’s all 100% true):
I am in a ’supported’ flat in Buckinghamshire. The manager here is a narcissistic gaslighting abuser. She will randomly appear in the flat and go through the fridge and remove stuff claiming that it’s “out of date and mouldy” (even though I know damned well that it’s not - or that it’s something I’ve taken out of the freezer).
She’s telling people (and by “people” I mean my GP, the police, paramedics, people from the council (adult safeguarding) my own mother (who will readily believe anything negative anyone tells her about me)) increasingly bizarre things:

• I like to eat rancid, raw meat
• I will take food from the bin and eat it (this is partly true - but what she doesn’t tell people, of course, is that I am taking food from the bin because she’s throwing out perfectly edible food and I’m on benefits)
• She tells me that people have been emailing me and I have to prove to her that I’ve never had any emails from these people by sending her screenshots of my inboxes
• Telling people that I refuse to wash or dress (without telling them the reason is that I am now too ill to do so and that, when I was in Stoke Mandeville some weeks ago she - or my social worker (I’ve yet to establish who) had the flat ‘cleaned’ - it wasn’t cleaned, they took EVERYTHING which wasn’t nailed down, basically, and I’ve lost everything, including my clothes. Manager got my mother to send me clothes but mother, rather than ask me what size I needed (all the stuff I had taken was a 6)) asked manager woman, who told her that I was “very large” (think she must’ve been confusing me with herself), so everything my mother sent me was between an 18 and a 26. Because I’m not able to eat properly, obviously, I am losing weight.

Manager is now taking stuff from the fridge, freezer and cupboards and put it in the bin of the woman downstairs (who has severe cerebral palsy and is completely nonverbal) so I can’t retrieve it. I struggle to verbalise how I feel at the best of times, but it’s impossible when I’m ill and in a situation where I don’t feel there’s anyone I can trust (I mean there isn’t). I feel scared and isolated - and she’s making the world think I’m insane. Because of this stupid DoLS (and I don’t know if I’m still under the MCA, I’ve never been able to establish that) it’s her word against mine - and obviously who are people going to believe (because there’s going to be a reason I’m being held under Acts for people who are mentally disordered, right…?)…?
My health has deteriorated markedly over recent weeks - largely from the stress of simply trying to survive. I spend a large part of my time flat on my back in a semi-comatose state (this is the first hour or so I’ve felt ‘not bad’ in about a fortnight). I am unable to do anything to even attempt help myself because I am simply not ‘alive’ 98% percent of the time.
I can’t find the words to express how toxic this situation is; how I can’t get help (not that there’s any to be had, but if there was S (manager) would poison them against me).
I can’t eat (properly - at the moment I’m not eating at all) because it causes me severe pain (I have constant moderately severe lower abdominal pain which extends round to my back). Eating will start my gut cramping and I am either sick or I need to poo - or both. Eating also causes me to feel extremely weak and sleepy, but yet I also feel constantly hungry (which I just have to try to ignore)). Typing this is hard due to neuropathy in my arms and hands. I also have a fan which is on almost constantly to prevent me ‘overheating’. Right now is the first time in at least a week I’ve not had a severe headache (oh and just as I type that here it comes…).
I am frightened. I have no access to legal recourse as the Court of Protection appointed a solicitor who will not take instruction from me (I am told) - and nobody will tell me anything about them.
Right now I feel very sick, I am in some considerable pain, and I’m scared (it might be the weekend, but that doesn’t stop the manager from turning up).
The bottom line is that I CANNOT remain here: for the sake of my health, my sanity and my continued existence I need to get away - URGENTLY. I need help and support and I need it NOW. Please.
There seem to be only two ways out of this situation:

• I either stop being autistic
• I escape

Ever since, I was young now grown into a teen. I had a great bond with my sister. We did everything together, we got along very well. But sometimes, she can get tiring. This morning, I wanted to borrow her charger to charge my phone and she said no. Despite having a phone on 100%. When mines was 2%. She claimed the phone would drain battery, it would only drain 2-3%.
Then she would do things such as telling me to get up and go open the door for someone, when she was clearly closer. She claims it is because she is in her comfy spot, when I’m in mines to and I’m the one that has to get up. She constantly tells me to go to her and get her things, because she doesn’t wanna get up herself to come to me and show me something. She asks me to cook for her, because she doesn’t know how to cook and every time I encouraged her to try cooking, she would refuse. She eats the same kids TV dinner every time.
When she’s hungry, I’ll ask her what she wants to eat and she’ll say “food”, my parents snapped yesterday finally at her and defended me because she kept bothering me saying “I’m hungry, I’m hungry” My parents offered her food that we have in the house and she says “No thank you”. My parents get pissed and she goes to her room and cries. I feel sorry for her, but at the same time relieved. She hits me in my sleep as well, because I’m constantly breathing “too loud”, it is something I can’t control.
I sacrifice things for her, just so she can be happy. But, sometimes, she can be so overwhelming I have to text my boyfriend on how horrible she is at times. She’s made plenty of great achievements, but I hope they find out who she really is under her disguise. I love her and all, but I’m tired of her doing all of this. She’s the younger one and I’m the older one. Why can’t she listen to me instead of me listening to her. These are just one of the few many things she’s done to me, but this one is a constant repeat.

Heya! I'm Teddy, an avid fan of TTRPGs for over the last 5 and a half years of playing them. I'm trying to develop my skills in running games, but I also have been wanting to be a player for quite a long time. With that in mind, I'm going to do a Duet Campaign to try and better my GM skills along with being a player in them.
If you're unfamiliar with what a Duet means, it is a game/roleplay format where there are only 2 players involved in the game/roleplay. In most games, this means it is 1 GM and 1 Player. However, other games employ the method of discarding the GM role altogether to make it so that both players that are a part of the Duet have the ability to dictate the story together.
The format for my Duet Campaigns always use the latter since I tend to try and use it as a means of helping other people be familiar with what it means to be a GM in a game/roleplay. Basically, it's an exchange of knowledge based on my experiences and yours!

Cartel (or alternatively as “Cartel: Palm City” or "Cartel: Miami" ) would be an open world title based on the Mafia Games, the GTA games and the Saints Row games, with elements of Battlefield: Hardline thrown in with an array of weapons and vehicles based on their real life counterparts.
Gameplay wise the driving would be like Need for Speed titles, and on foot and shooting mechanics like BF: Hardline and Saints Row. Plus you can customize your cars and weapons to the same extent in BF: 2042 and some cars would allow for mounted weapons,on foot you can execute people with your equipped weapon like in The Godfather games. On foot would be an FPS view (you can change to a third person view as well) same with having an FPS view in your car.
There would an single player experience point system (like in BF Hardline single player) you gain XP from killing gangsters, and cops blowing up or capturing enemy vehicles and completing main missions, side missions and activities also there will be 15 levels to achieve with each level up unlocking new weapons, vehicles and customization for your weapons and vehicles. As well as a New Game Plus (NG+) where everything you unlocked is carried over and you can also play on the higher difficulties through NG+.
Also there would be five wanted levels for police and five vendetta levels for the gangs should you reach level five gang vendetta you start a Gang War there are three ways to stop a Gang War either bribe the feds, blow up a gang stronghold, or hide out in a safe house. Police wanted levels one and two local units would come after the player, at police wanted level two or three the state police would come after the player. At wanted level four and five the feds would come after the player. The military will only come after the player if they trespass in Fort Rockport or the Palmount Naval Shipyard
The Storyline
In Cartel: Palm City; in a different universe and timeline where there's a total prohibition of all narcotics in the United States in 2010; tells the story of Jack Rourke (the player character) a hardworking rideshare driver at day and a street racer at night who's scraping by in Palm City circa 2019. One fateful night, Jack Rourke has an inadvertent brush with the Blackwell Syndicate (mainly Carl Stoddard and that showcases a life of reward too big to ignore. As he joins the Blackwell Syndicate who are fighting for control of Palm City against five other criminal groups and take the city for the Blackwell Syndicate including recovering evidence that could not only convict the Blackwell Syndicate, as well as a network of crime lords in many countries, (including the other gang’s backers) including the Blackwell Syndicate's backers the Mob and it would also directly implicate the CIA in Palm City’s drug trade with Jack Rourke earning the nickname “El Sicario” for his efforts in driving the other gangs out of Palm City. When he learns how much the drugs were hurting the people of Palm City and all over the country as well as learning that the Blackwell Syndicate had gotten into the drug trade themselves, he contacts FBI agent Chase Linh who relays the story to her and offers the evidence and his testimony in exchange for full immunity for him and his associates, and the evidence on the computer was enough to convict everyone form all the five gangs, but also their crime lord backers from at least half a dozen countries, as well implicating the CIA in this as well as lobbying efforts to keep all narcotics prohibited, leading to a new administration repealing the Narcotics Prohibition law and legalizing low level cannabis. However six months later after the repeal of the Narcotics Prohibition Jack Rourke would be gunned down by Russian Mafia hitmen, Dimitri "Dima '' Mayakovsky and Henry "Black" Blackburn.

Prolog (2019)

1. The Birth of Art - After winning a big race, Jack Rourke collects the winnings at the Palm City Historical Museum
2. An Offer you Can't Refuse - Jack Rourke must evade Volk sicarios with Tyson Lachford and Carl Stoddard members of the Blackwell Syndicate
3. Race Day - After the events of the last mission, Jack Rourke partakes in a race day event and wins three events with his Porsche 911 Carrera S (991) '12
4. Running Man - Volk sicarios Niko and Dimitri crashes the race day and Jack must get to the Blackwell Garage

Chapter 1 (2019-2021)

1. M34 Party - Jack Rourke joins the Blackwell Syndicate and gets acquainted with everyone before going with Tyson in a Pontiac GTO '05 to burn the Volk's cars with M34 Incendiary Grenades as well as stealing GMAC's Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4
2. Standard Routine - Jack Rourke rolls with Tyson, Stoddard and Jonathan Cross to collect protection money but things go south when they collect from a hotel out of town and Jack Rourke chases after the hotel owner in Cross' car.
3. Fair Play - Jack Rourke is tasked with stealing Ryan Cooper's Nissan 240SX and sabotaging it on the eve of the biggest Speedhunter race of the year, the SpeedHunter Championship Finals and in a last minute swap Jack Rourke has to race in place of Tyler Morgan
4. Mia Townsend - Jack Rourke is tasked with taking Mia Townsend out for a night at the city... until a gang of Wraith street racers led by Caleb Reece hassles her and Jack Rourke takes them on in a fight
5. Get Used To It - After the events of the previous mission Jack Rourke and Tyson Latchford are sent to teach the Wraiths a lesson But Caleb Reece makes it serious and Caleb Reece is wound up being killed by Tyson after a chase around the city alongside Danny Shaw.
6. The Saint and The Sinner - It's revealed thtat Caleb Reece was Chief Norris' best friend, and Danny Shaw survives the crash however Stoddard would handle Shaw as Jack Rourke is tasked with infiltrating the Elmore Plaza Hotel and has to kill the manager, Nikki Morris and bomb the hotel before escaping to a funeral and confronts, Danny Shaw and Frank Mercer who are also in attendance. Jack Rourke kills Shaw and nearly kills Frank as well. But Frank tasers Rourke and escapes. It would be revealed that some of the Volk sicarios recognized Sotddard and had to deal with them, then the two escaped in a hearse.

Chapter 2 (2021)

1. A Trip to the Countryside - In order to get a large supply of cannabis from Mexico, Jack Rourke takes a team to retrieve the Mexican from Mexican smugglers only to be ambushed by Los Zetas L.S 16 and Volk sicarios, then it's revealed that Roman had paid off the FBI to go after Rourke and his teammates then they came off with the cannabis killing their pursuers in the process.
2. Code of Silence - The evidence that Tyson and Stoddard had ripped from the Volk had fallen in the hands of Hector Maio who cut a deal with the FBI, total immunity for the evidence and Jack Rouke is tasked with killing him and retrieving the evidence
3. Visiting Rich People - Jack Rourke is tasked with sabotaging a federal proscutor's case against The Mob, the Blackwell Syndicate's backers as well as killing the federal prosecutor in charge of the case.
4. Visiting Powerful People - Jack Rourke is tasked with meeting and protecting a powerful member of Palm City's elite, the owner of Prefered Outcomes Julian Daws... though he more than meets the eyes of Jack Rourke
5. Agent Dawes - Julian Daws is revealed to be a CIA agent who is tasked with keeping the flow of drugs to Jack's surprise and that he is backing the Blackwell Syndicate through Prefered Outcomes.
6. The Drug Trade - Julian Daws walks Jack Rourke through Palm City's drug trade and how the illicit street racing scene is used as a cover to smuggle drugs.
7. Great Deal - Tyson Lachford scores a major deal with a drug farm in Georgia who promises to supply them with large amounts of drugs in exchange for access to databases concerning highway patrol routes; however when the deal goes down at a parking garage, the Volk and L.S 16 ambush them.
8. Bon Appetit - Jack Rourke drives Eva Torrez, Marcus Blackwell and Julian Daws to the rebuilt Elmore Plaza Hotel for brunch only for Niko and Dimirti with a Volk hit squad to blast the entire lobby with gunfire and C4 explosives, Jack Rourke vaults over with Eva Torrez, Marcus Blackwell and Julian Daws, there Jack Rourke and Eva Torrez rush out through the side entrance and confronts the hit squad with Jack Rourke killing both Niko and Dimirti. However Blackwell wants Jack to confront Jonathan Cross at a doughnut store and reveals that the Volk threatened to turn him over to IAD and is chased throughout the city with Marcus Blackwell putting Cross on permanent retirement by killing him with a Lupara.

Chapter 3 (Finishing the other gangs and downfall of Jack Rourke) (late 2021)

1. Happy Anniversary - Jack Rourke is tasked with completing a contract hit against Frank Mercer at the fifth anniversary of the formation of the High-Speed Task Force by firing a sniper rifle stashed in a bathroom
2. You Lucky Bastard - After a failed attempt to kill Razor; Roman's personal driver and #2 of the Volk, Jack Rourke is given the contract to kill Razor, first by car bomb but ends up killing Deputy Chief Jack Keller. instead of Razor. Jack Rourke, Tyson and Stoddard would later find Razer at a Burger King. In this Rourke can choose to kill or spare Razor. Rourke would spare him after he tells him that the CIA is deeper in Palm City's drug trade than Jack Rourke is led to believe
3. Creme de la Creme - Marcus Blackwell plans to kill Roman, Niko, Demintri and Chan Wu in front of the city's Creme de la Creme, the mayor, the police chief, the FBI director and even the city's richest elite. However things go south and Jack Rourke chases Roman and Niko at the airport where they get to a private jet but is shot down and crash lands on the Cross Mermeroral Bridge Chan Wu is still alive and Jack Rourke executes him and leaves before the cops show up.
4. Plugging the Chief - After the events of Creme de la Creme; Chief Norris places to take on the Blackwell Syndicate and to dismantle them, and a contract hit is placed on him where Jack Rourke accepts the contract and kills Chief Norris.
5. Election Campaign - The State Governor had launched his reelection bid with the promise get tough on the cartels that had plagued Palm City and like Chief Norris has a contract hit out on him which Jack Rourke is tasked with taking, using a sniper rifle
6. Just for Relaxation - Marcus Blackwell tells Jack Rourke about a shipment of Cuban cigars as well as a hidden shipment of diamonds (hot ice) straight from Africa however and Jack Rourke takes a crew to retrieve the shipment from federal customs however it's revealed that instead of diamonds it's Cold Shot... the same drug being pushed by the other gangs.
7. The Truth - Jack Rourke and Kahi Minh Dao eavesdrop on Marcus Blackwell and Julain Daws and they learn the truth.
8. Moonlighting - Jack Rourke after knowing about the truth takes Tyson to rob the Palm CIty First National in order to retire from the sicario lifestyle and gets into a massive shootout with the PCPD Heat-style.
9. The Death of Art - After the heist of Palm City First National Jack Rourke finds Tyson dead and meets Stoddard at the museum only to find out that Stoddard knew about the heist, and used his share of the drug money and clout at Prefered Outcomes to buy out The7 as his personal hit squad, however Jack Rourke manages to kill every member of The7 but spares Stoddard (the player can also kill him but canonically Jack Rourke spares him)

Epilogue (2022)
After the trial and the repeal of the Jack Rurke is placed in the Witness Protection Program in Lakeshore City but six months later after the repeal of the Narcotics Prohibition Jack Rourke would be gunned down by members of the West Side Club, Dimitri "Dima" Mayakovsky and Henry "Black" Blackburn.
The Gangs of Palm City
L.S 16 (Los Salmos 16) - Also known as The Salmos. Backed by the most powerful Mexican drug lords and the most powerful arms traffickers in the world, L.S 16 once ruled all of Palm City In fear until The House stepped in. They’re also the strongest gang in the game with access to military grade weapons and vehicles and each gang kill from them awards 500-1,500 XP depending on the enemy type. They are led by Neil Roark.
The House - The House is a gambling gang with strong ties and backed by the Sicilian Mafia; they run the street scene and the casinos in Palm City. They’re pretty strong but weaker than L.S 16, and they have access to military grade weapons and vehicles each gang kills from them awards 250-800 XP depending on the enemy type. Headed by Lina Navarro.
The Volk - The Volk is a Chinese-Russian gang led by Roman Barkov with Niko Barkov as their enforcer backed by the Triads (Chan Wu), the Russian Mob (Dimitri Glebov), and GMAC's crew (Gregory "GMAC" MacDonald, Rose Largo) for cars who control the weapon smuggling and arms dealing in Palm City. With this backing and access to military grade weapons. They are a mid tier gang and each gang kill from them awards 200-600 XP depending on the enemy type. They are also the ones who go after the Blackwell Syndicate the most.
Palm Kings - The Palm Kings (PKs) is a Black gang made up of Black nationalists who controls Palm Harbor’s rackets and extorts store owners. Led by Benny King, they’re equipped with police-grade weaponry and has strong ties with the PCPD despite this, they are the second weakest gang in the game and each gang kill from them awards 150-500 XP depending if it's a regular to elite
Dixie Paladins - The Dixie Paladins are a white supremacy gang and a militarized version of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) who controls the Gold Coast Mountains in the mountainous regions of Palm City. they’re the weakest gang in the game and each gang kill from them awards 100-250 XP from regular to elite members. They are led by Tony Alpert
Blackwell Syndicate - The Blackwell Syndicate is a underground criminal organization based in Palm City and is led by Marcus Blackwell with Julian “Julius” Little as underboss, Hector Maio before "Code of Silence" and Zack Maio after "Code of Silence". Nick Mendoza. Khai Minh Dao and Carl Stoddard are caporegimes and Tyson Latchford, Tyler "Ty" Morgan, Sean "Mac" McAlister, Jessica "Jess" Miller as soldiers. Other members include Ravindra "Rav" Chaudhry as the gang's car expert Rachel Teller as the gang's customization expert, Marcus “Boomer” Boone as the gang's weapon experts. The Blackwell Syndicate would be the gang that the player would join. In Act 1, they're an outside and fast tracked to soldier, but in Act 2 the player would be a capo until the end of the game. They are secretly backed by both The Mob and the CIA through Agent Dawes. Jonathan Cross and Mia Townsend are also on the gang's payroll until "Bon Appetit" where Marcus Blackwell executes him with a 870P Magnum to the head. Also Mia would also go with Jack Rourke as well
The police/military force
PCPD - the police force of Palm City/Miami if the player does hostile acts (killing civilians, firing unsuppressed weapons in public, etc) will attract police attention and each kill from them awards 50 XP for regular members and 100 XP for armored members, However the player can bribe the PCPD to look the other way or will even help the player fight the other gangs but would be the target of higher level police forces. (Sort of like it was in The Godfather game) The player can also buy favors from them as well. Also they’ll deploy stronger units at higher heat level alongside the FBI. The cars PCPD drives are the Ford Crown Victoria, Dodge Challenger, Pontiac GTO, and the Chevy Grand Sport
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) - The state police force and Only appears in wanted levels 3 and above, Each kill from them awards 75 XP for regular state troopers and 150 XP for tactical state troopers. Regular state troopers drives Ford Mustang GTs tactical state troopers drives Nissan GT-R
FBI - Only appears in wanted level 5 the FBI will be called in if the player continues to retaliate against the PCPD. Each kill from them awards 125 XP for regular agents, 250 XP for FBI SWAT and 375 XP for FBI HRT, Like the PCPD the player can bribe the FBI to look the other way, or even help the player fight gangs, or the PCPD but at the second highest price. The FBI also has the second widest array of favors the player can buy. regular agents drives the Nissan 350Z or Porsche 911 GT3 RS, FBI SWAT drives the - Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster or Ford F-150 SVT Raptor L.E. and FBI HRT drives the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X or Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR
Military - Only goes after the player if they trespass in Fort Rockport or the Palmount Naval Shipyard. Each kill from them awards 200 XP for regs, 400 XP for experienced troops and 600 XP for elite troops. Like the PCPD, State Police and the FBI, the player can bribe the military to look the other way, or even help the player fight gangs, the PCPD, State Police or even the FBI but at the highest price and The military also has the widest array of favors the player can buy in large part due to Agent Dawes’ connections in Washington.
Multiplayer portion of the game would take place during the five cartels war where the Blackwell Syndicate, The Volk, Palm Kings, Dixie Paldines, Los Salmos 16, and The House (basically where Jack Rourke glosses over saying "It was non-stop chaos for weeks")
Also there would be a free ride mode where the player can explore the city at their leisure or pick a fight with either other cartels or the cops.

My boyfriend is under investigation from police because his ex-girlfriend lied and said he committed DV against her.
He has audio evidence of her admitting to hitting him and her verbally abusing him. Is he able to report her if she already has a case open against him? Would the audio be enough for a charge?
Should he wait until the case against him is closed? He been under investigation for over a year and a half now and no date of when it's going to finish.
He mainly just wants her to get arrested and experience what it's like to go through something like that.

Earlier while i was watching youtube in the dark on my pc. I see next to my monitor a spider using his net to get down like spiderman. I panic and get back from it to the best of my ability and I turn the lights on. I see the damn thing going down and I look around to find something to kill it with, I grab a hold of my slippers and just as it's about to get down for me to slam it, it gets under my table. And there's no way for me to get under it or get it out since there are cables down there and it's not practical to lift it to kill it and it might be gone by now who knows. But this incident made me think about something. Why the fuck was the spider getting down from up there in the middle of the fucking room. It's ok if a spider is glued to the wall and in his fucking corner, but why get down in the middle of the room you fucker. What if he went like 10cm in a different direction and got into my hair. I would never know and would've went to bed with that critter snooping around me. My sister had a spider fall on her face and once she killed it it left its disgusting goo all over her and I just hate them with everything I got. I can't go to bed now and I just now remember how much I hate these fuckers. Haven't seen them in a while since it was cold but now that it's warmer again they started appearing. This is the second one I saw in recent times and if they keep dropping down in the middle of my room while I'm chilling then we're gonna have to make new plans since that won't do. This just left me paranoid and constantly feel a tingly sensation over my body and I have to scratch my self and try to get it out even if there's nothing there. I remember before I moved and I had to go to the bathroom I would walk in like a valorant player checking all corner before I go in, quickly entering the room and looking to see if he wasnt up from the door waiting to kill me. Check under the toilet, under the seatbelt, and around the whole place. I can't even begin to explain to you how much I hate these little kretins. They always come when you least expect it, but when you're on your guard they just chill and hide somewhere so you cannot get to them. It's so frustrating, I cannot sleep knowing he's still out there. I need closure by killing it or something. Please if anybody has any solutions to stop spiders from being in my hoom I would be beyond grateful. Also I remember a time when a spider got under my keyboard keycaps, that was awful as hell. Is there any possible way to get rid of these little shitheads completely, or is there just the method of spraying random spots, if so it didn't work out really well from my experience. But these big black ones are nightmare fuel. If that got on top of me I don't even know how I would react. (EDIT) Ok so the story did have a good ending. I just went to brush my teeth, and I decided that maybe I can go look for it while I brush my teeth but I doubted it would even be there. But lucky me I found him walking on the wall trying to escape like a coward, he was slowly going away from the table but I took a box of tissues and destroyed his ass. What luck, in the meantime while I went to brush my teeht the motherfucker gets out of his hiding spot and decides not to camp anymore. I swear to god these spiders and omniscient. This is not the only time something like this happens where I leave the room after searching for a spider for ages but then I find him once I return to that place a few minutes later. Funny thing is I didn't even finish brushing my teeth, with the toothbrush still in my mouth I get my ass over to the room of the suspect and I see him meanwhile I'm trying my best not to spill the tooth paste and attempting to kill him. This spider was lucky as I got done with him pretty quickly. But who knows when they will send another one to kill me. It's only a matter of time before another one appears so I have to be on my guard constantly now. No room should be left unchecked once I'm done with it. Also another cool thing is that I never saw a cockroach in my entire life, and I'm glad for that because if I saw a flying one I would piss my pants and shit in them twice before it had a chance to land. So it might be lucky that the only organization that's after my head is the spider clan. Now I'm worried that I might have killed a different one than the one that almsot got on my head and ate my brains out by going inside my ear and making a nest inside, but who knows maybe there is already a spidernest in my ear bro that would be so bad I would probabbly kill myself if that happened. But anyways broskis I gotta bounce, it's way too late and I'm getting crazier by the minute so take care and kill those damn spiders.

Rukash was getting desperate.
It had been fifteen standard orbital cycles since the Udrani started the war, and his people, the Rukana, were on the losing side. It was a war of aggression that grew increasingly desperate, as the Udrani manifestations of their primal rage cut through the Rukani's defensive manifestations.
When the war had begun, the humans had offered to fight for them, for the right price, and they had told them no, they would not cooperate with mercenaries.
Until today.
The Human dropship easily slid into the Rukani perimeter, it was small, it was all they could afford, yet they came regardless. One Human stepped off the ship and walked toward Rukash, well before the other eleven stepped off.
"You made it." Rukash sighed with relief. "Gracious are your people, Human, to send even this much."
"Yeah, yeah." The Human sounded disinterested, like he had no reason to care about the situation. "You got the plans we sent, right? You got the thing built?"
"Yes. We do not understand how an underground burrow will help us, but we have done as requested."
The Human nodded. "Get inside. Tucker Squadron! Into positions!"
The Rukani retreated into the fortified burrow. As they descended deeper, Humans would create manifestations of small bipedal lizards that would quickly scamper into holes in the walls.
"What are these manifestations, Human?" Rukash asked.
"Tucker Kobolds." The Human replied. "Smartest fucking fictional creatures. My company specializes in deploying these little bastards. We don't even have to lift a goddamn finger."
The reached the central bunker, where the Human deployed machinery that granted them a view of the manifestations.
"Drop the shields, they're useless at this point."
The Udrani didn't spare a second thought at charging the burrow, didn't care that it was a bit of a squeeze to get in, didn't care that a Human ship had landed before flying off. They only cared about killing the Rukani.
On the display, the room watched in complete silence as the Tucker Kobolds got to work. All the Rukani had been asked to do was dig the tunnels, the Tucker Kobolds did the rest of the work, setting devious traps and stabbing the Udrani from inside the walls- preventing any retaliation, preventing any escape.
Before long, the Udrani had lost a fourth of their army, and had to make a tactical retreat.
"Seal the exits." The Human leader spoke.
What happened next horrified the Rukani, who watched as the Udrani went from bloodthirsty and vicious to panicked and screaming for someone to find the exit. They were lost in the tunnels, and their blind panic only served to make things even more difficult for themselves.
In less than one hour, the forward army of the Udrani were dead.
"Take their corpses outside, line them up, and send a message to the Udrani. Their finest warriors just got killed my little weak lizards, if they want vengeance, it's just in the hole."
"That can't possibly work!" Rukash exclaimed.
"Y'hear that, lads? Our employer thinks it's impossible!"
To Rukash's growing horror, the Humans laughed and began clearing the tunnels with their Tucker Kobolds.

New Mechanic: Exposed Exposed is a new status effect that can be inflicted upon enemy characters. It’s a neutral effect, treated as neither positive nor negative, like Charged. Exposed has no inherent effects, but characters like Super Skrull have abilities that will react with characters inflicted with it. Exposed can only be cleared by abilities that specifically mention Exposed. Two characters are currently planned to have abilities with Exposed, with Super Skrull being one of them and a second to be announced in the near future. Multiple characters can benefit from an enemy inflicted with Exposed.

It’s not been very nearly 2 months since my son got injured in a freak accident. And it’s still not over. It’s still dragging on.
This past week I was charged by the police under the child and young persons act because it has been deemed that my actions caused harm to my child.
Very soon we have to go to a meeting with social services where they will decide on our future. On wether or not my kids are placed on a child protection register.
I still cry multiple times a day, social work have made me so paranoid that even our 5 year old is getting nervous, and I don’t see how the damage caused to my family and myself will ever be repairable.
I have never know stress and worry like this, I don’t sleep well anymore, I hardly eat, I’ve lost a tonne of weight, I don’t smile or laugh, the joy I used to find in things has gone, and my self worth is in the toilet.
I guess I more needed to ramble to someone, anyone, who isn’t with me everyday.

I have multiple reasons for going on hiatus for the folklore series. It will only be for the month of June and part of that you can thank my landlord terminating my lease under false reasons for.
I have realized that it will be impossible for me to move everything out of my apartment, clean the apartment, modify the jeep, finish my cosplays (I kind of have a commitment from last year for one convention that I go to), go to my interviews for the new jobs I’ve applied to, and grieve my cat while also doing all of the work that goes into the folklore series.
I have not had the appropriate time to grieve the loss of my kitty Tigris. I have in large part been writing the folklore series since she passed to try to fill the void she left in my life.
I’m sure it’s shown in my writing but my heart just isn’t 100% in it right now. I need more time to properly process losing her. And thanks to my landlord that time has been made more difficult.
This does not mean the folklore series is done for good, or that I will not be posting two sentence horror. I will probably start posting non-folklore two sentence horror with the occasional folklore story, unrelated to a specific region in June.
But it does mean that the dedicated daily stories will be on pause until July.
The apartment situation has taken a massive toll on my physical and mental health as has the loss of my kitty. The other day, I found a massive colony of orange sponge mold of some type in my bathroom walls. This colony of mold likely predates my kitty and I living in the apartment. It is so big that it is growing from at least where my toilet is on one wall to the other wall connected to that one where my bathroom window is. It is fruiting out through my window seal and through the brick wall from the inner wall right next to my bathtub.
On top of that the ceiling of the unit is currently crumbling and cracking and showing signs of potential collapse. There is a gas leak that has not been resolved and apparently by tightening the valve the landlord just caused it to escape in a different way.
There is apparently black mold in the kitchen under a plastic sheeting, and likely more of it in the bathroom. There are holes randomly appearing in walls and places I could not reach. The place is filled with cracks, fractures, bubbles, you name it.
Asbestos in the ceiling and asbestos in the floor. Rot, mold, and decay is so bad that the place is a biohazard.
I am going to need to move all of my property from the apartment to a storage unit and this will include me building a shelving unit in my storage unit.
While I’m moving everything I have to leave a few items to show that I’m still living there. I’m going to need to convert my jeep. The jeep conversion will take at least five days. Thankfully I’m not planning anything too complicated.
If the people that have been contacted about this situation, cannot do anything by June 28th I am going to have to move the remaining items out of the property.
And while all of this is happening, I need to mourn my kitty. I also need to go to job interviews, which take a lot of time to prepare for.
The reason I continued the folklore series for May 2023 was I wanted to finish out the Indonesian and Malaysian section. It didn’t feel right leaving it unfinished. But now that the month of May is over, I can take a month off to grieve and to deal with all of this chaos that is happening in my life.
And before anybody mentions it yes, I will be figuring out a gofundme, Patreon, and all of that during the June hiatus. When I return in July, I will probably be living in my Jeep.
On the upside it’s going to be converted, so it won’t be absolutely horrible. But at least for the month of July and possibly August I will be living in my car. It will definitely make for interesting story inspiration material.
I just want to note that this was an incredibly difficult decision to make. The folklore series is very much a passion project for me.
And as much as I love the folklore series, and I love writing it, reality is since Tigris passed the quality level I used to have isn’t there. I have really been forcing myself to write. Hoping it would fill the void and make things easier.
And though I thought it was helping me grieve, in reality it was just helping me deny what I have lost and prolong the grieving process. Taking time off to deal with these very serious issues with my life and to grieve the loss of my Tigris properly is something I have to do.
And there is another reason that I have decided to take the hiatus in June. June 12, 2020 was the day that the family cat; that I raised and cared for for much of his life, Morris died. He also died of kidney disease. Morris was 26 to 27 years old. But he was also like a big brother to Tigris. Every year since he died, I have been hit with a severe depression around June 12th. Morris was a big living teddy bear of a cat. He was also there for almost the entirety of Tigris’s life. And like Tigris he died in my arms. So this year it will be extra difficult for me, because now Tigris is also gone.
The Folklore Series will return in July 2023 after I have processed my grief more and things in my life are hopefully less chaotic.

I am feeling super incompetent and I keep googling till I am just exhausted. Can someone explain like I’m five? I don’t want to blow a fuse in my car. I used to have an external battery backup similar to a jackery and it broke as soon as the warranty was up, so I’m improvising.
I’m driving a 2011 Gen 3 so it’s got a 12V outlet in the console and another one under the dash.
I’m looking to do as little swapping of plugs as possible, and run:
—a HotLogic travel slow cooker, most of the time that I’m driving, 45 watts, 12v, 3.75 amps —a Coleman thermoelectric cooleheater (model 5232, vintage and secondhand, have never used it before. Will probably run almost continuously, 12V, 4 amps, don’t know wattage and the manual doesn’t say)
—various USB rechargeable devices, off a 6-outlet USB charger. Bluetooth adapter for the car radio system, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, headset, portable personal fan, backup battery, flashlight etc. Most of them can just trickle charge while I drive but the Bluetooth and phone do run continuously.
I got a Yantu 3-port splitter for the 12V, turns one cigarette outlet into 3 and has two USB ports as well. It says input 12-24v, output 5v=1A/2.1A, max 150W. I suspect that the 1A/2.1A number is for those USBs and not the round ports.
The six-usb charger says input 12v-24v; output dc 5v=10a total,each USB 2.4a max.
So can anyone give me solid advice: can I plug the fridge and the HotLogic into the splitter and put it in the 12V under the dash?
And then plug the six-usb splitter into the console 12V and plug all the usb stuff into that?
Or am I going to melt everything including my car and my dog?
How hard is it to change the fuse? I know u/Caper-Aprons is going to say “you can learn anything, it’s not magic” but can I, a novice, change it at AutoZone tomorrow with no tools and still not be late to my cousin’s wedding?

I had a 2017 5Ah battery that worked well for two years and then went red light for everything, wouldn't run the mower, wouldn't charge no matter what I tried. Ego agreed and sent me a new style replacement under warranty.
Fast forward 3 years later and the new battery is frustrating me with false overheating errors. So just for fun I throw the old battery on the charger and it starts charging! And now I just mowed my whole lawn on a single charge with the old battery after it sat untouched for 3 years.
So I guess the moral is, you might want to try your old dead batteries again.

I know what you're thinking: I can fix her.
It's easy to love her; her biggest story arc depends on her being irresistible, and even after she gets exposed, almost everybody wants to know what she thought of them in her seemingly sincere spy journal. Even Olivia lamented that her Redverse counterpart was like a better version of herself, surrounded by friends and loved ones and with a much healthier work-life balance, and it's clear that F is just a lot more charming than O is. F loves her job, while O is mostly gritty determination; after some very early-episodes sexy times with Scott, O hardly ever seems like she's enjoying herself for quite a while, she's too busy slurping down that flatworm juice, getting shit done.
But of course F loves her job; almost all the Fringe folks over there are having a lot more light-on-their-feet fun than our Fringe folks, probably because in her words, "we're heroes". Another way to put that is that the Redverse is more of a police state, and it's a lot more fun to be the boot than the face, as long as they don't look to hard into the more classified shit their boss is up to, like what happened to their Broyles. Brushing off things like this happens a lot on this show, and nowhere so much as done by F. She may be quicker with a smile, but that's how she reacts to just about everything: fun smiles, flirty smiles, mocking smiles, nervous smiles. F rolls with it all. It's a different armour than O uses, but it's still armour. I can see her having the same lament about never having learned how to be vulnerable, if there was anyone around her worth confessing it to.
In the spirit of so many misdeeds on this show never really being answered for, at no point does F apologize for (or much reckon with at all) the pain she caused people on her deep-cover mission, even after the Rebootening when the damage is considerably less dramatic and there's a real necessity for her to work with these people directly. The closest thing to remorse she expresses is when she's caught and tries to appeal to Peter's romantic side; nobody's really buying it, and I don't think she expects him to. After this does she even interact with our side again until the new timeline, where patching things up with Walter and O was nice but a little too easy? The original F's more soul-crushing compromises make her harder to root for, but they also make her more compelling as a character. F has done some awful things, and while she never really has to answer for them directly - namely any honest reckoning with Peter and O - at least she eats some shit over it once the pregnancy comes out.
There's a lot of fallout from that, starting with how the man she seemed quite happy with, who had every intention of marrying her, fucks off without even asking for an explanation. Her co-workers, who she's otherwise relaxedly friendly with, start gossiping and speculating about it when they aren't satisfied with what little she's willing to tell them. They care, but we see a limitation to those friendly relationships: Lincoln and Charlie are just too much of a couple of bros for it to occur to them that there might be horrible shit behind this unexpected, unwanted pregnancy. Maybe she was raped? Maybe it's reality-bending interdimensional sci-fi shit? No wonder she's not telling you guys anything!
Then, just as she's weighing this pregnancy against her own sci-fi medical mortality, she gets abducted and abused (you could've asked, Walternate!) and made to give birth under some pretty awful circumstances, not the least of which is her belief that it's going to mean death for her and/or the baby. It all must've messed with her hard, if she's pleading with Lincoln to save the full-term baby she didn't even want yesterday. As brutally intense as this thrilling, messy little arc is on the show, I can see why some people would absolutely hate it. It's a thorny grab-bag of sexual and reproductive politics plotted with such bro-ey insensitivity I was shocked to find the “Bloodline” writing is credited to two women.
Ultimately she gets through it all fine, and oddly unscarred by her traumatic experience. F becomes a happy single mom through the most bizarre circumstances and doesn't seem to mind how she got there, implied to be "taken care of" by Walternate, though she still goes to extremely dangerous work at Fringe. If something happened to her at work, I bet he'd be fine with it. He might even be counting on it. Strange omission here: F went to our side on an existential wartime mission against amoral monsters who were conspiring to destroy her universe, and saw enough to know that's not true, but this didn't really change anything about her or Walternate's goals. He kept on with his war, she kept on with her job.
Then the Rebootening happens. Same Fauxlivia, same smiling, nothing-personal animosity, but minus the baby and the, uh, sex crime. There's a lot to get into there; we could argue whether this counts as rape, but at the very least, it's a little beyond your standard honeypot spy shit. If the sexes were reversed I think we'd see it pretty clearly, but here, I think the pregnancy does make it a little different, since that happens to her, and not to the man she's deceiving, and despite some nonsense storytelling teases about Peter having to choose his preferred Olivia (come on, show) the baby is never used to further manipulate him. I wanted justice for her, and for what she'd done, in the previous timeline and I think the thing that feels most “lost” about changing it is never seeing how that would work. But it's hard to miss that things just shake out better for her all around in the new one. Whatever other reservations I have about the s4 timeline, the "cleaning up" of F was the one thing it did that worked for pure palatability. Maybe s3 F couldn't be rehabilitated, but I dunno, Quark is much worse than this and Deep Space 9 fans love him as a rascally scamp.
Each version of F gets one season plus a bit to work out some approximation of an arc, but after the deep-cover mission they're all kinda B-stories. Perhaps they even came at an unfair cost, front-n-centre time that could've been used for Astrid (who hardly ever got any) or even O herself, who never seemed to me to lack for screen time but maybe Blair Brown's lament about this turning into a show about the men wasn't wrong; Peter's story was always about the same Peter and O is split between two, arguably four people which could make for character work that's more wide than deep.
But after watching s4 and settling on being mildly dissatisfied about what was becoming of O, I found myself feeling more weirdly haunted by what was going on with F. She went through (and did) so much shit in s3, you could make a whole show out of this person's crazy-ass life and I would watch that all day. In s4, she's a fun foil for either version of O, but there isn't a lot more there anymore. We can believe that Peter's estimation of her would be mostly positive – after all, she's mostly O, and without the previous F's moral compromises – but I don't think he would've said that in s3.
