2023.06.03 19:00 Sabio02 Weekly Review - The Start of a Breakout or Deja Vu

Weekly Review - The Start of a Breakout or Deja Vu
Last week we were up 18.79% and this week we closed up 36.47% at $0.94.
Hopefully, this week doesn’t become a case of Deja Vu:
4/27 close $0.78
4/28 close $0.82
5/1 close $0.96
5/2 close $0.96 (high $1.03)
5/3 close $0.95
5/4 close $0.84
Fortunately, since then Amryis signed the Croda squalene adjuvant agreement on May 19. We also have several potential upcoming catalysts that will help propel us to higher levels:
1- June 23 deadline to extend the DSM and Doerr short-term loans
2- JV for BB 2
3- Earn-Outs full forward
4- Additional unexpected molecule deal
I’m looking forward to next week and confirmation of this breakout.

2023.06.03 18:55 turner-lake13 Binge watching AoT

The weekend that the last episode of AoT came out early March, my brother was watching a random episode in which I kind of got spoiled the part that it was going to end up being a human vs human conflict at the end. I decided to watch the show, and ended up binge watching all the episodes till the last episode of season 4 part 2 in a week and some days. To the point that I was able to only name the characters that were alive and I wasn’t able to form a emotional connection with any of them till the last few episodes of season 3 (to the point that the first time I cried while watching the show was when I thought Armin was not coming back) and everything was a blur. Incredibly enough, I was still shocked when I learned the real truth that it was humans and not titans the real threat to Paradis. Then don’t get me started on the whole season 4 plot because it was hard watch. 😢 After a month of no news of the English dubbed version I just decided to watch it subbed. Then I got manga spoiled in Twitter and decided to read the manga against my better judgement and liked it and still cried buckets. 😭

2023.06.03 18:54 Pomme-M NYU Langone Health researchers publish study revealing discovery of what drives Psoriasis severity, offering clues to how it spreads across body

“Led by researchers at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the study mapped hidden features of inflammation and how they compared in cases of increasing severity of psoriatic disease. The team's findings may help explain how small areas of skin inflammation can have wide-ranging effects in other parts of the body. Up to one-fifth of those with the skin disease, the researchers note, go on to develop inflammation in the joints, or psoriatic arthritis. The study results, they say, may also offer clues as to why psoriasis can trigger this and other conditions, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Publishing in the journal Science Immunology online June 2, the new analyses revealed that the location of clusters of cells called fibroblasts, key regulators of inflammation, along with macrophages, a type of white blood cell, varied and were more common in upper layers of the skin in more severe cases of psoriasis.
Further, the research team found that in skin samples from patients with moderate-to-severe psoriatic disease, gene activity increased in more than three dozen molecular pathways tied to metabolism and control of lipid levels, factors known to go awry in diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. This increased gene activity even occurred in clear skin far away from any lesions.
"Our initial goal was to find measurable molecular signals that could tell us who is more likely to develop severe psoriasis, as well as who is at higher risk of developing related disorders that often accompany psoriasis, such as arthritis and cardiovascular disease," said study co-senior investigator Jose Scher, MD.
"Having found signals with potential systemic consequences, we are now working to understand how skin inflammation can lead to widespread disease affecting other organs," said Scher, the Steere Abramson Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at NYU Langone Health, where he also serves as director of its Psoriatic Arthritis Center, and the Judith and Stewart Colton Center for Autoimmunity.
"Our study serves as a valuable resource for the scientific community, offering the most comprehensive archive of cellular and molecular features involved in both diseased and healthy skin," added study co-senior investigator Shruti Naik, PhD. Naik is an assistant professor in the departments of Pathology, Medicine, and the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Langone.
More than 8 million Americans, and 125 million people worldwide, are estimated to have psoriatic disease. The condition affects men and women equally.
Scher notes that the new study was designed to go beyond current diagnostic tools that focus heavily on visible signs of skin lesions instead of looking at their invisible systemic and molecular effects. While many available therapies, including steroids and immunosuppressive drugs, reduce inflammation and symptoms, they do not address the underlying causes of the disease.
The new study relied on spatial transcriptomics, a technique that carefully charts the molecular and cellular interactions occurring in a specific tissue. Researchers analyzed intact skin samples from 11 men and women with mild to severe cases of psoriatic disease, plus three healthy adults without psoriasis. Spatial transcriptomics, they say, is more powerful than other commonly used techniques that track single cells because it creates a broad image-based map of where cells are located in tissues and what other cells with which they are communicating.
Naik says the team next plans to use their latest analysis to identify the biological mechanisms involved in skin inflammation in one area and how it affects skin or other organs in another part of the body. Further research is also planned in larger groups of patients and in lesioned and nonlesioned skin from the same patients to determine how disease clears on its own in some and why patients respond differently to the same anti-inflammatory medications.”
For the benefit of researchers worldwide, study co-lead investigator and bioinformatician Ikjot Sidhu has archived its spatial transcriptomics analysis online at https://zenodo.org/record/7813973 and https://zenodo/org/record/7562864 .

2023.06.03 18:51 astralrocker2001 Welcome to the Prison Planet

(The OP of this material is gone, but this analysis deserves to be seen again):
I can see that, like myself, many on this subreddit are beginning to realize the truth of what is taking place here on Earth. The question is: how do we know what is true? How do we discern the truth from the lies? Well, let's analyze our lives here on Earth for a moment: we are born on this planet, and by the time we grow up, we have no memory of the first few years of our life. We also have no memory of ourselves prior to life on this planet, we're not sure what we are doing here, or how we got here. There are so many of those "big questions" about life that are seemingly unanswered, and at the same time, we are presented with a plethora of these "belief systems" that offer the answers to these questions. We have all these different religions, seemingly just there, waiting for us to believe in them. We have non-religious belief systems as well; one can choose to be an atheist, or one can choose to believe in "modern scientism" or humanism. With all these different religions and belief systems to believe in, how can they possibly all be right?
What if they were all the right choice, because it doesn't matter what belief system you choose to believe, the only thing that matters is that you choose something. After all, life is all about making choices - right?
The Corrupt Demiurge and The Duality Trap
This planet is overcome with a sickness; there is an oppressive force manifesting this system, that is so cleverly designed that a person could live their entire life never once realizing that everything is designed to work against us. What is causing this to happen? The false light/dark duality simulation which controls the planet - and in doing so controls each and every one of us. The Hermetic Principle of Polarity, which is discussed in the esoteric work The Kybalion explains that all of the opposites that make up our world are in fact two extremes of one spectrum. Light and dark, hot and cold, love and hate - all just the two extreme ends of the same thing, making up the duality of this world we experience. This begs the question: what are the single spectrums that these opposites are representing?
This is a problem, indeed, as many of these spectrums being described by polarity are things that we seemingly do not have any words for, and therefore no thoughts or ideas as to what many of them even are! This is a paradox that can be troublesome to reconcile in our minds; it seems that these "spectrums" of duality are often just outside the limits of our comprehension. We can attempt to try: black and white must be the extreme ends of gray, hot and cold could be the extreme ends of warm... ok, were getting somewhere - but inevitably you run into pairs of opposites that are too difficult to reconcile into one spectrum. For example, the opposite of freedom seems to be slavery - what could that be a spectrum of - movement? Light and dark is another pair of opposites that is too rigid to find a middle ground for what it could be describing. What gives? Well, Hermeticism is one of the many belief systems set up to deceive and trap us into the false light/dark paradigm, or as it is called in ancient Gnostic texts The Corrupt Demiurge.
The Corrupt Demiurge is a horrible construct that has been holding the Earth hostage for thousands of years, and they are responsible for all the devastation done to our planet, including orchestrating some of the most horrendous events in human history. They inflict suffering upon Humanity relentlessly, because our suffering and negative energy is what feeds them and sustains them and keeps them alive. Using the duality of light/dark good/evil they convince each and every one of us to choose a side, to believe in something, and then when we "die" (which is just an illusion, we are eternal beings and we never actually die) they exploit our beliefs that our soul picked up during its life on Earth, and they trick us into reincarnating back on Earth again, to live another life of unneeded suffering and hardship, in the painful, unforgiving material world.
How do they do this? The Corrupt Demiurge is made up of beings that Gnostic texts refer to as archons, which we can think of as demons, jinns, Lucifer etc. Anyone who read my post yesterday probably knows that I call these archons "Soul-sucking fucks". I was angry, and you should be also, but you need to not just believe, but know that this is what is taking place here on our planet. The greatest trick of the archons is that they are not only the demons, but they are also the angels. By playing both the light and dark teams, they are able to convince us to keep falling into their trap of reincarnation, so they may continue to feed off of our energy, as they have been for many, many, incarnations here on Earth. Our memories remain perpetually wiped with each new incarnation, which explains why we don't remember anything when we get here. The archons have tricked all of us into making lots of agreements with them, which entail things such as not committing the same sins we were guilty of in our prior life, in our next life, if one were Christian for example. As we can see in our current situation on this planet the archons love making us feel bad about ourselves. The archons are violating our free will in a massive way because no being should have authority over another being. Look at all the authority we are subjected to here on Earth - it is suffocating. Every human being needs to realize that they are not a bad person, systems set in place by the archons such as Christianity make it impossible to live the life required to get into the "kingdom of heaven" (barf). Luckily - they are going to give you one more chance to get it right - again, and again, and again, and again... and again, and again, and again, and again... Are you starting to get angry yet? Because it's ok to get angry.
As Above, So Below.
When the Demiurge first took hold on planet Earth thousands of years ago, Human beings were already aware of the true source of all creation, the true God that runs through each one of us, we have become so detached from this truth over thousands of years of abuse from the archons that the great majority of us are not aware of this. Because of the awareness of God by many of the people on the planet, the Demiurge had to initially create almost every single one of the world's religions today. Of course, the abrahamic religions have the most powerful stronghold over us. Just about every belief system is a trap set up by them, however. The only exceptions to this that I know of are, of course Gnosticism and perhaps Buddhism. Why trust Gnosticism? Well, it was declared heresy by the catholic church in the third century, as catholicism was asserting its world domination and killing any non-believers. Most of the Gnostic scrolls we have today were discovered in Egypt in 1945, and they are known as The Nag Hammadi, named for the town they were discovered in. They had been buried in a jar for centuries, placed there by someone who was looking out for the future of Humanity, no doubt.
The Corrupt Demiurge have a hierarchy of henchmen, here on Earth, that carry out their reign of destruction throughout Human history. I believe the actual reason for the founding fathers coming to America was to kill all the Native Americans, just as white settlers did to many tribal communities in South America, because these people knew about their connection to the one true God. They have higher ups that take the light path, such as the pope, as well as the dark path, such as many thirty-third degree masons. These people within the Demiurge hierarchy systems are rewarded by feeding off of our suffering as well as the energy of our worship and adoration - look at the energy given to people like the pope, and trump, and hollywood celebrities in the form of idolatry and worship. This, of course, is nothing compared to the false-idol leader of the Demiurge, the god of the bible himself: Yahweh aka Lucifer. The king of the false light/dark duality trap himself. (As a side note, I do believe the moon is a big part of how they create the duality paradigm. I never did like the moon...)
As above, so below refers to the Demiurge's system of patriarchal hierarchies in the abrahamic religions (above), and the patriarchal hierarchies of our governments (below). Notice arch(on) in the words patri(arch)al hier(arch)ies? As well as the (arch)angels. It's about time for some an(arch)y to take place.
What are we supposed to believe in?
We need to believe in ourselves. We need to believe that we are sovereign beings, and nobody has authority over us. We need to believe that we are more powerful than them, because we have the true source of creation within us, and they do not because they worship a false idol (Yahweh). We need to believe that the religious figures so many believe are real, but they are all the archons, and they will trick us into reincarnating here yet again. We need to not fear the government, as they try to scare us into submission with the covid pandemic. The last thing they want us to know is that we are more powerful than they are. We need to stop being distracted with the material world, as well as technology that is just more of the Demiurgic illusion.
We need to all start waking up to our true power, and cut off this parasitic group of evil beings feeding supply. Stop choosing good or evil. The church has perverted the trinity of creation. Creation is a trinity: positive, negative and NEUTRAL. Reject the notion that you are a bad or good person. If you do this you will begin to see the archons in your life, waking and sleeping. They will come to you in dreams, and many people on this planet are them in disguise. They will do anything to get you back into their trap, using angels, demons, or any other of their tricks. They will make your life miserable, but they cannot hurt you - the real you - your soul. The elite are getting ready to roll out their Saturn Black Cube religion, which I believe is hardline materialism, as it is the easiest way to trap us. That is why they have been pushing to put an end to spirituality and beliefs in a God. If enough people wake up to this, things will get REAL.
tl;dr: try reading the Nag Hammadi if you think this is long.
If you want to know more about this, please read these articles that go into much greater detail than I could ever hope to. These articles are very helpful in learning more about THE TRUTH:

2023.06.03 18:49 QuothTheRaven713 Viv claims "Helluva's more male-focused, while Hazbin's more female focused" to explain why Mille and Loona aren't developed much yet. That would be reasonable if it weren't for the fact Hazbin's pilot has very strong characterization for everyone in the cast.

Yes, I think we can reasonably assume Millie and Loona will get more development as time goes on, since we aren't even halfway through the show's run yet.
However, I can understand Viv claiming that the reason there's less development on their part because Helluva's more male-focused while Hazbin is more female-focused rings a little hollow for some—especially when Hazbin's character cast was rather balanced in terms of what we got from the pilot alone. Everyone got plenty of characterization in what little we've gotten so far.
And before anyone says "oh, it's because Angel and Alastor have a lot of stuff revealed on the wiki and the comics"—let's ignore the Wiki. Ignore the prequel comics. Ignore Addict. Ignore merch. Ignore Q&As.
Ignore everything except Hazbin's pilot.
What do we know about the major characters from the pilot alone?
Considering Viv claims Hazbin is more female-focused, let's focus on the males. If she insists Millie and Loona aren't developed because Helluva is male-focused, then surely the male characters in Hazbin's pilot are similarly underdeveloped, right?
We know Alastor is a powerful dealmaker who's toppled overlords. He's charismatic. He's a charmer. He practices voodoo. He lived around the 1930's and was likely a radio host (yes I know he's been confirmed to be outside the pilot, but again, we get a sense of that within the pilot even though it's not explicitly stated). He doesn't believe people can attain redemption and is involved in the hotel for his own entertainment. He's manipulative, and knows how to influence others for his own ends, fixating on coercing Charlie who's more innocent, while dismissing Vaggie who's more strong-willed. The video being distorted by static when he says "I would have done so" indicates he might be able to reach beyond the 4th wall in a way a la Bill Cipher—or at the very least, indicate that he's extremely powerful in ways that make the other characters be at his mercy.
We know Angel is a flamboyant, sassy porn actor, deflecting insults with crass talk. He hits on guys with sexual comments and seems to get a kick out of their reactions. He likes causing chaos with his friend Cherri. He wants a chance at redemption but all too easily slips back into his vices, though him starting to reach out to Charlie shows he wants to change.
We know Husk has connections with Alastor, indicating they interacted at some point in the past, whether when Husk was alive or in Hell. Not only that, he's well-aware of just how powerful Alastor is, as he's the only one who looks completely deadpan at Alastor blowing up Sir Pentious's ship. He's grumpy and gruff. He's a gambler, shown in both his introduction and implied through his design. He has a weakness to drinking, even cheap booze will do. He's put off by Angel's sexual comments. He doesn't expect to find love because he feels he lost the ability to love years ago.
We know Sir Pentious wants to be taken seriously as a threat but is too goofy to be seen as such, essentially being a more steampunk-infused Dr. Doofenshmirtz. He's a skilled inventor as shown by him creating the weaponized blimp. He somehow has enough draw to have the Egg Bois follow him. He prides himself with his style. He's also familiar with Alastor, and when Alastor claims he doesn't know him, Sir Pentious tries to display his power to show just how powerful he is with his machines, even though he's clearly outclassed.
And even with Alastor and Angel being the breakout characters in the fandom, the female main characters are certainly no slouch in the character development department either. We know a lot about Charlie and Vaggie too, and some about Niffty.
Charlie is enthusiastic, bubbly, an optimist to the core. She adores expressing herself through song. She loves her girlfriend. She seeks approval from her parents but feels they're distant at best and see her as a failure at worse. She's dismayed by the injustice in her kingdom and wants to help redeem others, indicating her selflessness. She sees the good in everyone to the point she's willing to give Alastor a chance, but also is genre-savvy enough to know making a deal with someone like Al is a very bad idea.
Vaggie we know a bit less of in the pilot, but even still we know quite a lot about her. She's headstrong. Puts on a very fierce side when she feels there's a threat. Unafraid to brandish a weapon toward those she dislikes. Adores Charlie and doesn't want to see her get hurt but sometimes gets frustrated at Charlie's insistence a song can fix things. She's Latina and slips into swearing in Spanish when she gets upset. She doesn't trust men, and isn't afraid to really threaten Alastor when she feels others might get hurt.
There's a bit less to work with regarding Niffty, but even then we still get some strong characterization. She can switch between being an adorable sweetheart and a scary psychopath at the drop of a hat. She's very intent on making things look nice and orderly. She's very set in gender roles and norms to the point she thinks Ange's a woman. She has some past with Alastor and she seems to enjoy what he does, given her excited look during his reprise. Even for a character who's only on screen for about 30 seconds, we can gleam quite a bit.
We know equally about all the characters, male and female, in Hazbin's pilot alone.
Hazbin isn't even released yet, and already from the pilot alone we know more about everyone, including the male major characters of the "female focused" show, than we have for the female characters of Helluva in 11 episodes (12 if you count the pilot). Viv claims Hazbin is "female focused" and Helluva is "male focused", but in Hazbin everyone, male and female alike, has proper characterization and plenty of aspects of their personality that shine through.

2023.06.03 18:44 CIAHerpes The Leatherman building has something strange in the basement

The building had a reputation for being haunted. Kids would dare each other to go inside, but unlike other places around town, they would actually see something- or at least claim that they did.
Little Jamie Curry, 9-years-old, went into the basement of the abandoned Leatherman’s complex on a dare and saw a zombie. He said he knew it wasn’t just some guy in an outfit because the zombie had a grapefruit-sized hole in its chest, and he could actually see right through the middle of the thing. He had run right past his group of friends who were patiently waiting outside, screaming and wetting himself as he went.
Another young kid from my town, Alicia DeSilva, 11-years-old, said it was all a bunch of garbage, that she wasn’t afraid of a run-down factory building, except for maybe the asbestos which her uncle told her “rots your lungs from the inside”. She had said she would even go inside it at night. Why not? After all, there were no such things as ghosts or boogeymen.
One of her friends told Alicia that if she went inside Leatherman’s main building at night, grabbed something from the basement and brought it back out for their mutual inspection, the friend would pay Alicia five dollars. Alicia had gasped. Five bucks was a good amount to someone like her. With five dollars, she could even get a kit so that she could finally fix her bike tire. They all met in front of the building, and Alicia disappeared into the dark fire doors on the side of the building, full of bravado and still laughing as she went inside.
Except unlike Jamie Curry, Alicia never came back out screaming and wetting herself, never had a chance to tell some unbelievable story about what she encountered in the fetid basement of that place. Her body was never found. The police were called after a few hours, and they searched the entire building from top to bottom. They were able to follow some fresh footprints in the dust that might have been Alicia’s, but when they got to the basement, the prints just disappeared- as if the person making them had simply gotten sucked up into the ceiling. And yet they did find one thing, the only real evidence left in the entire building that night. What they found still gives me nightmares sometimes.
One of her eyeballs was inside a snowglobe. The glass and foundation of the snowglobe were all intact, and there were no signs of foul play anywhere on the decoration. It was as if it had been manufactured that way- with that blue, staring eye floating lazily next to plastic mountains and white glitter snowflakes.
In my nightmares, I often see an old woman shaking that snowglobe, an old hag who cackles and whose split lips form into a dreadful smile as she stares directly at me. The eye and the glitter all hang suspended in the water for a moment, then begin to fall slowly, the eye spinning rapidly as it drifts down the front of the globe. And when it’s stopped, I see it is looking directly at me, and it still looks frightened.
OK, so that last paragraph was pretty dark. But what I’m trying to communicate is just how terrifying that place is. The kids in school know what’s going on, though, at least in a general way. After all, Alicia and Jamie came from among them, and they’re not the only ones. Others have gone into the building before. And Matt wants me to go with him tomorrow to look at it.
Maybe that’s why the dreams are getting worse. Maybe that’s why I’ve woken up screaming twice in the last few hours. Because there was something else, too, something else I saw in my nightmares. In that building, around the back walls, there were dozens of kids. Their skin was chalk-white, their hair and eyes all pure black. They were dead. And then thousands of “Missing” posters started to fly down, all of them of smiling children. I looked between the ones surrounding me and the posters and noticed that some of them showed these same kids. I turned to run but little rotted hands started pulling me down and then, I was sitting straight up in bed, yelling and pleading.
I really don’t want to go in that building tomorrow.
OK, so Matt and I went inside the doorway. No way was I going in the basement. But just the front doorway… well, that wasn’t too bad. I even stuck my head in and looked around inside.
Matt didn’t see it, but I did. There was something huge in the front hall. It wasn’t much more than a silhouette. It looked like a very tall, very thin man in a suit whose neck was all twisted and strange. It came off his chest like a snake’s, turning and curling back on itself, and at the end it had this reptilian face. Everything about the man was hairless and slimy. I could smell the strange stuff on his skin.
But by the time I had gotten Matt’s attention and pointed it out to him, the guy was gone. I don’t know how he disappeared so fast.
Matt was making fun of me as we walked home afterwards, pointing at random alleyways and asking, “Do you see him there, too?” and then laughing. It wasn’t that funny. I’ll prove to him there was someone in there.
I convinced Matt to come back with me. I need to see what’s in there. He wasn’t thrilled about it, but I told him an older kid offered to pay $10 for a souvenir from the place, and that I’d split it with him if he went with me. All of this was total crap, of course. But I want to see what was in there, and I definitely want these dreams to stop.
“You know, you’re lucky you have a friend as brave and manly as me,” Matt said, puffing up his little bird-chest. “After what happened to those other schmucks, everyone has been avoiding this place like the plague.”
“Yeah, but unlike all of them, you know it’s just a building,” I said. He gave me a funny look then.
“It’s just a building, but you know something actually happened,” he said. “I was talking to my dad about it, and he said maybe a homeless guy was living there, totally deranged, and maybe he cut out Alicia’s eye and kidnapped her.” He stated this was the seriousness of a news anchor recounting bits of total bullshit for the audience. I smiled at his grave expression, repressing an urge to laugh. He looked over at me disapprovingly. “It could have happened, you know. Homeless people are homeless because they’re crazy. My dad says so. Maybe one of them just went really crazy and started taking souvenirs off of people’s bodies.”
“I guess,” I said. We were most of the way through the old industrial part of town now. Shuttered factories and condemned buildings stretched out on both sides of the street. A fat, limping raccoon walked lazily out of a nearby alleyway. He gave us a sideways glance, stopping for a moment, then kept on maneuvering his round frame forward. Something that Matt had said had given me pause.
“You know,” I said, “it’s kinda weird that we don’t have homeless people out here. We have all these empty buildings, yet most of them camp out on the sidewalks on Main Street. I’ve never seen a single homeless person sleeping in one of these buildings, and I’ve never seen one even close to the Leatherman building. It’s like they have some sort of sixth sense to avoid the place.”
“Clearly they’re smarter than you and me,” Matt muttered. We were walking past the rusty metal chain link fence around the property. He looked pale and his eyes were wide. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Right then, my instincts screamed at me to run.
“Yes,” I said simply, walking in first, taking the flashlight out of my pocket. “I need to know. For sure. Either way, I’d like evidence. Either it is my imagination, or something supernatural actually exists within and around this building.” An old, musty smell permeated the huge hallway. I looked up and down it, wondering what was missing. Then I realized- it had no graffiti. It had to be the only abandoned building I’d ever been in without tons of graffiti scrawled on the inside.
In some places, the walls had begun to buckle, and whole sections were crumbling and coming down. Farther ahead, the ceiling had collapsed inwards, blocking half of the main hallway off. Downstairs, lights started turning on, and the entire building started to come to life. I looked at Matt, who was looking dazed.
“Bro, what the hell is that?” he asked. I had no idea.
“Someone’s in here with us,” I said. “Let’s go check it out.” He looked at me like I was insane.
“Are you mad? What if it’s cops? What if it’s tweakers pulling out all the metal?”
“We’ll be quiet, and just peek around the corner,” I said. “I think we’re meant to see this. Don’t you want to know what’s going on here?” He scowled.
“I’d much rather get home alive,” he said, but he followed me reluctantly. There was a rhythmic hum coming from the floors now, as if machinery were coming to life. A sign, dirty and covered in spiderwebs, pointed to a staircase on the right. I looked down it, seeing bright light flood into the stairwell corridor, despite the fact that there was no electricity running to this building. We started down the staircase to the basement level. There was a smell of ozone in the air, a cyclical rhythmic humming that popped and buzzed. I took a deep breath, wondering what I would see down here. Then I poked my head around the corner.
There were conveyor belts stretching against the basement, their legs embedded into the cracked concrete floors. Beams and pillars ran up from the floor to the ceiling every ten feet or so. And it looked like there were countless workers just sitting on each side of the conveyor belts, sitting in crooked wooden chairs with splintering legs and backs. But it was the workers who caught my attention most of all. They looked… strange.
“Does something look off to you?” I whispered to Matt, who had been standing behind me only a moment earlier. But I got no reply. I figured he was too engrossed in the bizarre nature of what we were seeing to respond.
The workers, if that’s what they were, looked blurred, as if in an overexposed picture with a long shutter speed. Their skin appeared to writhe and crackle, some of their heads constantly turned from side to side, and their limbs… all of them appeared to be missing limbs. I saw pale, white bodies without arms, without legs, even without heads, but they all still continued working in unison, moving in that jerky, blurred way.
“Jesus, Matt, do you see?” I asked suddenly, my eyes widening. “Do you see what they’re doing?” I looked forward in horror as I saw human bodies rolled down the conveyor belts. The people were still alive. They were naked, many of them crying and covered in blood. As they passed by the workers, the blurred hands quickly took pieces of their skin off. Glistening sheets of it were raised by other workers walking along between the lines, and they would give an admiring look at the large pieces of skin, smiling eerily as their heads writhed from side to side and blurred in my vision.
And I saw the kids from my dream, the kids from the missing persons posters, all in the corner. They were huddled, emaciated, with wide, staring eyes. They trembled and cowered as some of the workers came over to grab them and throw them on the belts.
I turned to get the hell out of there, and that was when I realized Matt was no longer behind me. I caught a glimpse of something dark and massive moving at the top of the stairs, disappearing around the corner. I was alone. I know I should have stayed and looked for Matt, but instead, I ran. I got out of that place and went home and hid under my blankets.
I thought 13 was old enough to deal with this, but it has gone way beyond what I thought.
Matt’s parents are calling. My parents stand at the bottom of the stairs, my mother holding the landline in her thin hand, my father looking disturbed. They tell me that Matt is missing, that he never came home last night. What should I tell them? Certainly not the truth. If I started talking about the things in that building, I would be forced into a psychiatric ward before the week was up.
The police stopped by and asked me a few questions. I told them all straight-up lies. “No sir, I haven’t seen him, and I have no idea what happened to him.” But what else could I say? That he was taken by something from a nightmare?
I have to go back. I have to try to rescue Matt. I shouldn’t have ran like I did, but seeing those things cutting up people like that… it scared the shit out of me. Tonight, once my parents go to sleep, I’m going to sneak out, and everyone will think I’m a hero if I bring him back. If I don’t, I’ll probably end up as just another stupid missing kid who ended up way over his head.
I went back. I made it out, but I think they’re coming for me. There was something in the basement.
All of the conveyor belts were gone, the lights were off, the rhythmic hum had disappeared. It was as if the other night was all a hallucination- except for, of course, Matt is still missing. His parents are freaking out, and I can’t even tell them I know what happened to him, kinda.
Going into the building alone was terrifying. My legs felt like wood, and I kept glancing behind me every second as if I were hearing imaginary pursuers. But I walked through to the staircase, and I saw nothing.
I went down to the basement, peeking my head around the corner. It was just a mostly empty basement, some broken furniture and old boxes stacked in one corner. I shone my light all over and saw no one. But there was a light coming from the far corner, a faint, glowing, orange light. A feeling of dread came over me.
I crept slowly forward, trying to find the source of that light. A faint smell of smoke and roasting meat seemed to creep through the air. Off past the last line of boxes, I saw what looked like a small crater on the floor. There was a hole there with glowing fire underneath. Cracks spiderwebbed out from it in all directions for a few feet. More curious than afraid now, I peered forward and looked down.
Beneath the abandoned building, there was another world. It had fire licking the walls and ground, and in the middle of this inferno, I saw Matt. His face was a map of blackish-purple bruises, his head was cocked at an unnatural angle, and I saw blood pouring out of his ears and nose. He looked up at me, and the bones in his neck grated together. I saw his spine was broken and his entire throat was crushed inwards.
“Help me,” he croaked. “You brought me here, now help me. You can’t leave me. They’ll come for you next…” All around him, I saw hands reaching up- the pale, jerky hands of those strange workers. They grabbed Matt and dragged him back down to the fire. I saw other horrid creatures in the flames, some laughing and insane, others shrieking in agony. Large, black insectile silhouettes moved through the smoke and flames. And then, like one, they started coming up towards the hole, coming up to the building where they would be free.
I ran then, and I never went back. I know now that Matt is dead. I can’t sleep. Every time I look out the window, I see shapes in the front yard- blurred humanoids with missing limbs, hiding in the bushes and trees, and constantly inching closer.

Varro Trading Journal 6/3/2023
Hi All,
I am going to start turning these posts into more of a trading journal because there is a limited amount of new information to put out that I haven’t already covered in the past. In my personal life we just gave birth to a baby girl last week and I have a 20 month old son so time has become even more valuable than it was before. I have decided to take trading much more seriously. I am attempting to focus on both my career in tech sales and in trading. I am doing less of some of the things I enjoy but that are getting in the way such as video games, surfing Reddit, and watching the market. I will start keeping track of overall trading account balance, monthly performance, and log every trade. I believe I have all the tools needed to create true wealth - time to stop fucking around. Below is a collection of working notes that I am working with that some may fund useful:
Risk Management
  • Risk management is paramount and what separates the professionals from the amateurs. This has been a weakness of mine in that I have failed to reduce losses, protect profits, and take profits the last few years
  • Parameters (Work in Process)
    • Once up 20%, 10% trailing stop 1/4 of target profit. - experimenting with trailing stop. Sell 50-100% at target. Let 0-50% ride with trailing stop
    • Set time you want out by
    • Standard Equity Position 25%
    • Standard Options 1.2% (5 positions). Stop based on underlying. Real Option Player
    • Weeklies .5% (.005) 25% stop?
    • Write calls on STLD or NUE always on margin account
Trading Strategies
  1. Thetagang: Sell puts on stocks I wouldn't mind owning that are expensive vs Thetagang scraper. Sell puts every month with margin account.
  2. Steel: Buy at low valuation to mid, short at mid to high depending on fundamentals. 15% stop. Sell 50-100% at target. Trailing stop 25% of target move continuous. Own BRK.B/VOO otherwise? Or go into tech.
  3. 6% of book on options for the above
  4. Sir Jack style trading on up to 100% of book with standard risk management
  5. Weeklies: buy / sell on extreme moves and all boxes checked especially RSI and targets
  6. Buy leap calls / puts at extreme ends of ranges
  7. Buy / sell all extreme RSI events for short term tight stop trades. E.G. Buying back STLD short at 102 on sub 30 RSI and it bounced to 110
  8. Tech vs Cyclicals: They always seem to move in opposite directions. Play to my advantage.I will start watching/trading 5-10 tech stocks such as NVDA, TSLA, SNOW etc in much more depth
Trade Checklist
  1. KISS
  2. Do you know you will make money on a trade, even if you are closing another position to open this one? Worth diversification.
  3. Check charts Monthly, Weekly, Daily and go with the flow of the river if possible
    1. In: AI, Crypto, mega cap tech
    2. Out: cyclicals , energy, EV: Can cycle in when stocks are down 40-70%
  4. Fundamentals: SeekingAlpha/ Reddit / Investor Presentation / 10k / Analyst Reports / Earnings Call Transcript + Release + Presentation
  5. FeaGreed Index the opposite of what you are doing
  6. RSI (Below 35 / Above 70) / Finviz / Moving Averages / Channels / Pendants / Trends/ Elliott Wave (Fibonacci 38%, 62%) / MACD?
  7. Implied vol on options the opposite of what you are doing (High for buying calls, low for buying. puts)
  8. Social Media greed/love on things to sell, panic/hate on things to buy. More important than fundamentals
  9. Historical Trades. Did you buy a lot higher or sell a lot lower a long time ago and fundamentals improved?
  10. No more scaling into a position unless it is for a better price. I generally like being just in or just out at excellent times
  11. Last 3 months of options
  12. Options Book
  13. Buying Option = 20% chance of finishing profitable
  14. Selling Option = 90% chance of not finishing in the money
  15. Target + Stoploss + move stop up with profits. No more giving up profits. Most trades retrace. Options = 25% increments or move with underlying?
  16. Vol Trends VIX, Individual Ticker, IV for an option vs actual realized vol: https://www.reddit.com/options/comments/ulvsck/theta_without_delta_intro_to_vol_trading/
  17. ISM / Dodge manufacturing index
  18. Check upcoming earnings / guidance / news
  19. Institutional ownership
Broader Market Outlook: Bullish
  • We are like 17 months into the bear market if it keeps going it would be the longest of all time.
  • Debt ceiling: done
  • Bank crisis: done
  • Fed raising: prob done
  • On the steel side MT TX CMC X STLD all at buy areas. Commodities look like shit therefore time to buy. Though steel always had strong guides forward curve lowish. Prime scrap supportive tho and a better indicator IMO. Steel is ultimately going to follow the broader economy as a hyper cyclical industry.
Steel Fundamentals
  1. I do not have better information than what is found on steel reports, earnings calls etc and have no true edge. I do NOT have a strong view specific to steel right now on if things are looking bullish or bearish on the fundamentals but I do believe we may be entering a new global bull market in equities.
  2. I am generally just buying things that get too cheap and selling when they get too expensive.
  3. I am not taking a view on what the Fed will do, and whether or not there will be a recession but will generally be bullish, bearish, or undecided on the overall market.
  4. Generally speaking we just went through a big restocking in North America which pushed up prices very nicely but has since subsided. We still have hot rolled mills ramping such as Gallatin 1.5M, Sinton 3M.
  5. All of the steel CEOs are bullish the market in 2023 and see a ton of strength in most of their end markets
  6. There are long term trends that are supportive of North American steel equities:
    1. Oligopoly in North America with NUE, STLD, X, CLF
    2. Mexican producer AHMSA bankrupt, may come back but could take years. 5 million tons of hot rolled offline
    3. China re-opening
    4. Europe restock, will we get one here? Would benefit MT, X
    5. Turkey Situation: exporting less crap, absorbing lots of rebar etc for rebuilding
    6. Onshoring, Chips Act, Inflation Reduction Act, Infrastructure spending are all supportive
  7. Here are risks to the downside:
    1. We actually get that recession everybody has been expecting for over a year now
    2. More imports
    3. Market meltdown
    4. Russia/China being fuckboys war wise
    5. Environmental regs come out of nowhere
Steel Valuations
Selected Steel Company Notes
  1. MT: I am bullish on MT. I believe this name has been shit on for too long and getting too cheap. The CFO said flat out on the earnings call that the stock is undervalued. New 85 million share repurchase program. Cheap. I moved up my multiples. They also said restocking needs to occur in Europe. 50% of FCF will be returned to shareholders.
  2. TX: Great company, I call it the “Nucor of the South”. Dirt cheap and low float due to a billionaire owning 80% of the company. Big beneficiary from AHSMA going bankrupt, Mexico onshoring very strong.
  3. CMC: Could be the best positioned at the moment, wall street loves CMC. Two new micro mills. CEO expecting 2-3 years of a bull market for them.
  4. X: Great company completing a turnaround. I believe they are 5-10 years ahead of CLF. INSANELY profitable the last few years. Wall street hates X. Nice tubular profits last Q, hot rolled rough as it is across the board. They will have low or negative FCF for awhile as they build Big River 2 and new NGO Electrical line. Producing some Pig iron for vertical integration. Blast furnaces + EAF combo.
  5. STLD: Best run steel company globally IMO. 92% run rate vs industry 78%. Some of the highest margins. Strong culture and pay for performance. 70% of steel / fabrication are value added. Going into the aluminum business as raw steel seems played out. There has not been a new aluminum mill in North America in 40 years. I beles.ieve they could do what NUE and STLD did to the steel industry which was come in as the new low cost producer and beat everybody’s ass
  6. NUE: The king of North America. Moving much deeper into downstream and steel products. With NUE and STLD moving away from raw steel production this might give a hint as to what companies SHOULD be doing. Of course they could be wrong. 200 Quarter Dividend Aristocrat. Aiming for $10.25 EBITDA through cycle run rate which should be over $10 per share in baseline EPS.
  7. CLF: I am returning to hating the company so everybody should take this as a buy signal. The bottom line is they have a nice business with auto, HBI, electrical steel. However most of their business is on assets that have almost never made money the last 50 years. They have the worst balance sheet and margins in North America. From a purely economic perspective North America needs to continue shutting down blast furnaces and CLF might be in a position to be FORCED to do it versus X who probably WANTS to get rid of blast furnaces + union labor. MT might come out ahead on their sale of their North American assets to CLF. I was briefly derailed from my bearish views by their seemingly high locked in auto contracts but they lost money the last 2 quarters. I was long at $17 with a $24 target that was never hit as the banking crisis took hold. As an example of shitty risk management I lost money on the trade instead of taking profits on a trailing stop. There is always a story for the future and disappointing profits now. I have significantly reduced my base through cycle EPS until theory prove me wrong.

Daily Spurgeon Devotion Saturday, June 3rd 2023

Everyday Verse

Psalm 84:10
  • For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather stand [as a doorkeeper] at the threshold of the house of my God Than to live [at ease] in the tents of wickedness.
  • Better a day in your courts than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than live in the tents of wicked people.
  • For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
  • For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
  • A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.

Quote of the Day

Hudson Taylor
"Depend on it! God's work in God's way will never lack God's supply!"

Spurgeon's Daily Help

The most important part of human life is not its end, but its beginning. Our death day is the child of the past, but our opening years are the sires of the future. At the last hour men summon to their bed-side a solemnity of thought, which arrives too late for any practical result. The hush and awe and far-away look, so frequent in departing moments, should have come much sooner. Command us as an example of the Hebrew king, who fasted and wore sackcloth while the child was yet alive. Wisely did he foresee the uselessness of lamenting when the scene should close. "Can I bring him back again?" is one of the most serious questions.

The Spurgeon Birthday Book

Nothing is made in vain. Though no lip of man is moistened by the brooklet in the lone valley, yet other creatures need refreshing, and these slake their thirst at the stream. Is this nothing? Must everything exist for man, or else be wasted? God thinks not so. What but our pride and selfishness could have suggest such a notion? It is not true that flowers which blush unseen by human eye are wasting their sweetness, for the bee finds them out, and other winged wanders live off their luscious juices.

Daily Spurgeon Quote

Charles H. Spurgeon
"Nine times out of ten, spiritual declension from God begins in the neglect of private prayer."

Have a great day & God bless you.

International Gangsters !
Started this one a few weeks ago, normally I avoid playing any more mafia/gang type games since I already play Torn. But, this one Ive enjoyed, its not as social a Torn but the community is pretty tight and you don't need a lot of time to get thought the ranks. The part id say is the biggest turn off would be that the chat works through Telegram.
*I am not involved with the development of this game!*

2023.06.03 18:15 Moog_Latan (Part 9) Spoiler Theory Regarding A Certain Mangaka

So I just had an idea regarding Rohan from Part 9 that would not only be shocking, but make the entire JoJo's universe more cohesive, directly connect Part 8 to Part 9, and also explain the reason why Rohan was even written into Part 9 at all.
There are three parts to this theory. The first:

1. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Parts 1-6 is actually a manga within the universe of Parts 7-9 written by Part 9's Rohan.

In real life, the highly successful mangaka Hirohiko Araki wrote the manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. In Part 9, the highly successful mangaka Kishibe Rohan wrote... manga. To complete the parallel, wouldn't it make sense if Rohan also wrote the manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?
Many have called Rohan a self insert for Araki based on the two's myriad of similar traits. If Part 9 Rohan is a self insert for Araki, and Araki is the kind of person to write self inserts into his manga, it makes sense that Part 9 Rohan is also the kind of person to write self inserts into his manga. In other words, Araki writes Rohan into JJBA as a self insert, Rohan writes Rohan into JJBA as a self insert. Hence why Rohan appears in Part 4.
\"Not a self insert guys\"
Araki's favourite JoJo part is likely Part 4, considering for a while his two favourite characters were Josuke and Kira, it's the part where Araki puts his self insert into, and Part 4 is the most explicitly referenced part of the original universe in the new universe. So continuing with the self insert train, Part 9 Rohan's favourite JJBA part is likely also Part 4, hence why it's Part 4 that Part 9 Rohan also writes his self insert into.
It's worth noting that in real life, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Parts 1-6 and 7-9 are actually two separate series. That's why parts on from 7 don't have "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" in the title, it's not the same ip. This makes the theory a lot more credible as there's already the real life separation between 1-6 and 7-9, so why not extend that separation into the world of Parts 7-9 also?
But this raises a big question.
Doesn't it seem like a coincidence that there are so many similarities between Part 9 Rohan's fictional JJBA manga, and the actual world of Parts 7-9?
For instance, why would Part 9 Rohan know so much/care about real life 1890s guy Johnny Joestar to then base the fictional character of Johnathan Joestar off him? How and why does he know so much information about the real life Joestar history?"

2. The reason there are so many similarities between Parts 1-6 and Parts 7-9 is because Rohan got inspiration for Parts 1-6 by looking into Jousuke's past.

First the obvious. Part 9 Rohan has Heaven's Door which works identically to how it does in Part 4 and which he first uses in Part 9 to look into someone's past to use for inspiration for his manga. So this character trait of Part 4 Rohan's is very much alive in Part 9's, and Araki wants to establish that early.
Not directly stated to be using it for inspiration (but you know that's what he's doing)
Secondly, Jousuke and Rohan are both rich Japanese men from Morioh as well as powerful stand users. As two rich Japanese men from Morioh they're likely to occupy the same spaces. They're both powerful stand users which in JoJo is shown to bring people together like gravity. It's almost an inevitability that they at least met in the 12 years between Parts 8 and 9.
Both rich and Japanese
"But how would Rohan know so much about the Joestar history from before Jousuke's birth if all his information is just from Jousuke's mind?"
Jousuke was shown in Part 8 to be super interested in researching his family's past. We know from the events of Part 8 alone that Jousuke learned about the Joestar family tree reaching back to George Joestar, as well as the record of the Steel Ball run race and Johnny being 4th in it. That's not including any more research Jousuke may have done offscreen, and that's also not including any more research Rohan might have done based off the information he learned from Jousuke.
Jousuke doing research on his family history - who's to say that curiosity didn't stick around after Jojolion?
Ever wonder why the parallels between Parts 4 and 8 are so much closer than Parts 1-3 and 7? It's because Rohan has way more information on the events of Part 8 to use as inspiration for Part 4 due to literally reading Jousuke's life story, than he does for the events of Part 7 which he can only piece together from historical documents, and as a result he's unable to be as historically accurate when writing Parts 1-3.
And this also explains little things like both universes having the earliest recorded Joestars as George, father of John__. Rohan only goes up to George, father of Johnathan when writing Part 1 because the real life Joestar family tree he saw in Jousuke's memory only goes up to George, father of Johnny.
I should probably bring up at this point the fact that one of Rohan's key character traits in Part 4 is that one should always use reality to base their manga off. This explains why Part 9 Rohan would want to stick so closely to real life Joestar history, because he also believes in sticking to reality.
If this is all true then this would mean that the Parts 1-6 we've all read were actually just one of Rohan's manga series within the universe of Parts 7-9. Meaning that technically all parts do take place in the same universe, which would be a perfect touch to add for what is likely Araki's final part of JJBA.
But in addition to that, the only reason huge elements in the original series even existed such as Johnathan Joestar, the Zeppelis, the Joestar birthmark, Erina Pendleton, Joseph Joestar, stone people, Suzy Q, Avdol, Dio Brando and The World, Josuke Higashikata, Yoshikage Kira and Killer Queen, Morioh, Hirose, Yukako and Love Deluxe, Holy Kujo, Rohan and Heaven's Door, hell, stands in general, was because it was all stuff that was in Jousuke's brain and that Part 9 Rohan thought looked cool enough to write about.
Here's the interesting part though. There are already a bunch of things in Part 9 that have also been paralleled in the original series written by Rohan, that by the nature of them being in Part 9 can't have all come from just Jousuke's mind.
A JoJo that was very likely a descendant of Dio, that's 15 years old and involved in the organised crime world. All traits of Jodio paralleled in Giorno. This means that Part 9 Rohan as of the most recent Chapter 4 of Jojolands can't have written Part 5 (and by extension 6) yet. This means that at some point Rohan will also have to use Heaven's Door to get Jodio's story.
But wait, there's more.
Jodio and Josuke were both created out of Joseph having an affair. If this aspect of Jodio inspired this aspect of Part 4 Josuke, that means Part 4 can't have been written yet either.
However, a bunch of the parallels to the Joestars' real history that Rohan wrote into Parts 1-4 must have come from Jousuke.
So here are the two options:
  1. Rohan learned a bunch of shit about the Joestars from Jousuke which caused him to write Parts 1-3, stopped the series before Part 4 despite having like 90% of the info he would want for that part, started another manga in Pink Dark Boy, then returned years later to write Parts 4-6.
Or, what's more likely:
2) Rohan, just like Araki, wrote Parts 1-6 in one go, and simply hasn't written JJBA by the start of Part 9.
This seems more likely as it means that, assuming by the end of Part 9 there have been enough parallels to Parts 5 and 6, Rohan, having gotten all the inspiration he needs from both Jousuke and Jodio, can begin writing JJBA once Part 9 is just about over, and the final twist of the series can be that 1-6 was a manga written by Rohan and therefore all in the same universe. Which would make for a good ending to the series.
That's where the main theory ends, and if you want, you can stop reading here. However, I think there's one more twist that Araki is intending to pull with Rohan that, if true, would be the cherry on top:

3. Part 9 Rohan is Higashikata Tsurugi.

Tsurugi in 2011 was 11 years old. Part 9 Rohan in 2023 looks to be in his 20s, so the age matches up.
Both are also coloured by default with dark green and black hair.
Tsurugi was a boy who the Higashikatas dressed as a girl as part of a superstition to wade off the curse. Now that the curse has gone, he doesn't have to do that anymore.
We did see him still dressed as a girl in Jojolion Chapter 110, which took place on Tsurugi's 11th birthday about a week after the curse was broken, and thus the requirement for him to dress as a girl.
Chapter 110
However it's only a week after, it's what Tsurugi's been used to his whole life so he would likely take some time to change, and he's had 12 years between then and Part 9 to change as well, so I don't think it's a stretch to say he simply started dressing as a boy soon after.
"But how could Tsurugi and Rohan be the same if they have different stands?"
It's true that Tsurugi's stand for most of Part 8 was Paper Moon King - a stand revolving around the paper art of Origami.
However, in Chapter 83, the narrator talks of how a stand is a reflection of one's heart, and if one's heart changes, one's stand will as well, and that once this process starts it's impossible to stop.
(Citing age as the reason a stand could change)
This speech is given over Tsurugi sneaking around as the only character in the scene, and even looking directly at the audience. This framing heavily implies that Tsurugi is the one who's heart, and therefore stand, will inevitably change.
So then what would an evolution of Paper Moon King look like?
Well, Tsurugi in Part 8 was a child. Araki said that he wanted Tsurugi's stand to be childish. In Japan, 10 is considered the last year of one being a child and 11 the first of them being a teenager. Tsurugi started to lose control of his stand, as well as the narrator suggesting that his stand would evolve, in the last week or so of him being 10 years old - the last week or so of him being a child.
Paper Moon King involved a manipulation of the (often considered childish) paper art of Origami. What if, then, Paper Moon King evolved into an ability that manipulated a "more adult" paper art - manga?
Or in other words, what if Paper Moon King evolved into Heaven's Door, reflecting its user evolving into more of an adult?
Hell, the narrator even likens the transformation of (assumedly) Tsurugi's stand to "lava boiling from a volcano".
And who do we know travelled all the way to Hawaii to study the boiling lava from volcanoes?
In addition to that, throughout Part 8 Tsurugi displays a fondness for Hirose Yasuho and a distrust for Jousuke, much like how Rohan in Part 4 had a fondness for Hirose Koichi and a distrust for Josuke.
In Part 3, you have the characters of Oingo and Boingo. Two siblings - one child, one adult. The child has a stand revolving around manga, just like Heaven's Door, and the adult has a stand that can change one's appearance, just like Paper Moon King.
Could these characters in Part 3 have been inspired by Rohan's own story of, inversely, having a stand that changes appearances as a child, and a stand that revolves around manga as an adult?
Finally, Tsurugi being Rohan lends way more credence to Rohan using Heaven's Door on Jousuke for inspiration.
Why would Rohan be around Jousuke? They lived in the same house.
Why would Rohan expect Jousuke to have a bunch of knowledge he wanted to use for his manga? He knows first hand what Jousuke went through.
How would Rohan get all the extra research about the Joestar bloodline? From Norisuke's office that gathered all that research in the first place.
Rohan is a rich Japanese man from Morioh? The Higashikatas were our only other example of a rich Japanese family from Morioh.
As for the name difference? Well, you can change your name. Y'know, the thing that every eldest son of the Higashikata family had been doing from Norisuke I to Joubin? Tsurugi was actually the first in 100+ years not to have to do it. Well, what if he actually did?
Hell, he doesn't even have to have legally changed his name. Rohan Kishibe could just be his pen name. Just like how Hirohiko Araki, the guy that Rohan is a parallel to, also used a different pen name - Toshiyuko Araki - when he started out as a mangaka.
Guys, it's over.

🚀Share the post, (Apologies in advance, if I misplace an emoji with another country.)

From the website
This ranking was made by using the number of tourists in 2019 (the last pre-pandemic year) for each city on The Savvy Backpacker and Air Mundo’s most visited cities lists. With this data, we then extracted the populations and ranked each city from highest to lowest based on the number of tourists per inhabitant, prioritising those with more tourists. All cities from both Russia and Ukraine were removed from this ranking.

My thoughts

I will take this with a grain of salt, as personal experiences can vary (among many other things). No need to take this too seriously, have fun with the list.
16 & above is generally considered overcrowded, with some saying even 10.
Personally, first 10 sections above are a great choice to select for your next trip.

I spend most of my time in travel research.
