I have been living with two roommates, and I noticed one of them tends to hoard the unwashed dishes in her room. We have our shared dishes and they're mostly plastic. She washes them when she decides to do so, but I felt it was unsanitary to keep them unwashed for days. Also, the smell of the food was stained on the plastic and I was grossed out. You don't want to smell something spicy when eating cereal in the morning. So I finally bought my ceramic dishes and decided to hide them. I'm glad I did this and so happy that I can peacefully eat food from now on.

So it’s my first time villager hunting with the nook miles tickets- and I really want to get stitches. I already have 9 villagers due to random ones moving in and, two I’ve chosen from nmt islands, and one I ambiio’d in. Anyway I’m currently on a mystery island and have run into Marina! I really want her as well, but if she’s my 10th villager- then the only way to replace my other villagers is waiting until one moves out, right? And would I be able to find random villagers on nmts if I have 10 villagers already? Basically I’m asking if I should go for it and get marina now and try and kick someone off my island for stitches? Or just try again for the main reason I was doing this? Lol im so bad with decisions thank you

Since I grew up pretty much alone, as a kid, I had a lot of imaginary tales I would dream up as I listened to my music on the swing. One was inspired by, mostly the title, Smashing Pumpkins' Eye. Where normally I played the hero of my imaginary tales, in this particular one, I was more a weapon. It was New Year's Eve, middle of Times Square and the ball is dropping. As the countdown approaches 1, I unleashed this ray of destruction from my eye (guess you could say I was inspired by Cyclops too) and destroyed the world. That was my mission. I was merely a tool. I find the idea of that story and time period to be ironic as it would only be maybe 2 years before they had us spazzing about the Y2K bug. I can't say I always had a fascination with the apocalypse. Probably more influenced by all the times the world was suppose to end in my youth.
Why do I tell you this? I don't know. Perhaps, deep down, I always knew I had no future. I was merely a weapon, a tool, a punching bag for anyone and everyone. And the more I sought out peace and less chaos, the more it found me, be it deliberate or otherwise. As I said, I never fucked with the "dead", they fucked with me first.
But you got one. Regardless of how you got there, you got there. Though my method would have been a lot less harmful and chaotic, I wasn't surprised. I wouldn't have believed me either. But I can learn to appreciate the idea of having some form of a chapter in your evolution, be it madness or not. I never wanted to hurt you. It was never that serious, and though I will always have an opinion, as I said before, it wasn't my place. Your version of info collecting is not like mine. I was searching for a link, not shit like that, but it was destined, don't you see? Don't you see how it all became connected? How the past and the present and future collided all at once? Anyways, the point is had I waited a little longer, I probably would have gotten those answers with less of a headache. But, at the same time, I've never been fazed by helping others. I said it before, I'll say it again, at least all this did help you.
So, when I say this, realize it's not critcism and I'm not being mean. The past is not your home. It is mine. The future is where you belong. Focus on that. You really wanna disappoint me, fuck your future up by beating a dead horse. You're clearly better than that. Too many wannabe guinea pigs still to drain. I'm tired and I don't care anymore.

So I started a new job 4 weeks ago and was told that the work is fast pace and I was replacing someone who made a mess and the books are still open for April because of this (I’m in accounting). One of the directors thought I messed up some bills and journal entries but it was really the person before me. My boss spoke to her to clear it up but that director has been kind of nasty towards me since then. I’m not sure if it’s me specifically or if she doesn’t like my boss who’s been in her new role for a few months (some of the people here don’t like that a woman of Color is in a managerial role).
The person that is training me from the external CPA firm (they’ve been handling the workload after the last person was let go) was out for a week so I had no trainer and no one there offered to help. They also called the executive and said that I told them I didn’t have the time to train which was a lie. I told her that I missed a training because I was in another office doing payroll so I didn’t hear my notifications for zoom). This frustrated me as I got great feedback from her and came across as her trying to throw me under the bus despite the progress I’ve made. I was honest with her, apologized and rescheduled and made sure to be productive.
Anyways I got behind on payables since I was focusing on getting all of the tasks done. It’s a huge with a huge workload, more than was advertised. Weeks that we do payroll is busy and stressful.
Anyways, I accidentally paid 8 ACH bills by echeck and they’ll have to be voided or have a credit on the account.
This is frustrating as I’ve been working really hard. I’ve gotten good feedback but messed up in this area. I do like working here and honestly it’s one of the few companies that pays correctly at $23/hr. The rest are like $17/hr average and act like $20 is the same as paying $40/hr. This is in a LCOL area that’s quickly become MCOL area.
Ugh. I’m just frustrated. My boss pointed out the error with two checks so I went to double check myself and found the other errors and immediately let her know. If I make a mistake, I immediately try to fix it. I don’t hide or lie, I’m honest and own up to it even if I feel embarrassed.
Feeling like I may need to apply for other roles. I just moved into my new place so I’m starting to re build my savings and As a single parent, can’t afford to miss any paychecks.

Computer recently started crashing. Everything freezes. Never really had any issues before. Computer is about 5-6 years old. Several days ago it started freezeing and then I would power it off and turn it back on. Worked fine, then it happened two more times, with the last reboot, the computer would turn on, with the fans and RGB, but no power or display was going to the monitors or keyboard/mouse(not lighting up). I noticed the DRAM light was orange and looked up a few fixes. Replaced the CMOS battery, it didn't work. Looked in the manual and it said to press the MEMok button, which I am assuming is similar to a CMOS reset button. It started working after a tries with hitting the MEMOK button and letting it power cycle. The thing is, it keeps freezing and crashing. The computer works, with today it only crashing twice. Currently typing on the computer, but is my RAM going bad? Do I need to download more RAM? Kidding... What are possible issues that are causing the crashes and DRAM light?

hi, im 19f and a college student currently. this is my first time posting. I have a couple hundred over 1k in savings and I would like to know if that's good as an emergency fund.
here are the facts:

1. I currently have no debts
2. I go to uni on a full ride so I pay only for things like transportation to and from school.
3. I relatively recently got part time jobs when at home and at school, which depending on how much I work, nets me anywhere from 1200 to 1800 per month.
4. half of my paychecks go towards savings. I don't really have any bills besides two subscriptions as I live either at home or school
5. I usually don't spend much; the biggest expenses go towards transportation and my hair care
6. I have a student credit card (discover) but I have no begun using it yet.
7. I have nothing for retirement or investment currently but plan to in the future

can I start trying to build credit? am I in a good situation currently for investing and trying to save for retirement? or should I add a little more to my emergency fund first (im thinking 2k)?

I have a mostly complete 10900k prebuilt from ibuypower that I bought at the end of 2020 at bestbuy, minus the gpu. I upgraded in the middle of 2021 and since then, this has been used by a younger sibling for minecraft and digital art. Having just upgraded their pc as well, am looking to sell this one.
As stated, this has a 10900k cpu, with a 1tb sata ssd and 16gb (8x2) ddr4 3000mhz ram. According to the bios (shown in pics), this has an msi z490-a pro motherboard.
A few months after buying it, the aio had a whining, so I had replaced the ibuypower one with the icue h100i cappelix from corsair. Because of this the fans are mixed with both the stock case and corsair ones. Since then there has been no whining sound. One of the wifi antenna is bent a bit, hopefully it's captured well enough on pics. Missing two of the expansion slot covers.
This is pretty much ready to play if you've got a gpu lying around, or grab a decent used one.

This episode is really fucking funny, Stan begging his parents to not leave him with Pip, Butters, and Dougie aka the Melvins had me dying, Gerald acting like he's Randy's wife for no reason was amazing, Dougie being totally obvious to the danger everyone is in being more worried about being a news reporter, and Stan's speech at the end when he learns that just because Pip and Butters are different doesn't make them any less human only for him to pretend like he never said when Kyle shows up but luckily after this episode Pip becomes pals with the main boys.

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.

Man, I have had a love for cLOUDDEAD for years. I'm so happy I found this sub. I got to meet Yoni in Des Moines when I spotted a post on Facebook that he was making a surprise stop for his Why? Tour. Him and Josiah and Matt were sick and they still absolutely killed it. The venue was small, it was at Wooly's, I showed up early, hoping to talk to Yoni and give him some love for how much cLOUDDEAD meant to me. His tour bus was parked outside and I got to talk to his light and sound guy first. Yoni came out and I introduced myself and brought up cLOUDDEAD. I told him I found it at a time when nothing else I listened to felt like it was actually real, creative, spur of the moment, musical invention. He was miserable and tired from a whole line of shows so the pleasantries were awkward and I'm sure he's heard some variation of what I said a million times on the road but he thanked me and said "I hope Why? Lives up to my thirst for raw creativity". I mean to tell you it absolutely did! The way they created sounds from instruments and objects it was everything I look for in a musical experience. cLOUDDEAD deserves so much more recognition, I get that it's kind of a wild ride of sound and lyrics but isn't that what being original is all about?

So my boyfriend and I, both in our early - mid twenties have been together for nearly a year and met through work.
He keeps randomly poking fun at the fact we have basically no friends. Admittedly this is a sore spot for me since (in my opinion) I’m painfully shy and introverted and have trouble making friends. We both work at the same place and have quite an active group of people that we go to gigs with, cook meals together, go for drinks etc. we almost always have a plan at least once a week. I also have one other close friend from college and one friend that is also now my roommate but we have become (naturally?) less close since living together since we see each other daily anyway and just fail to make plans (and she always hangs out with her bf).
I think the amount of friends we have is fine? Most people I know just have a few friends and hang out with their partners anyway and form a group around that. I didn’t do the uni thing so I don’t have any friends from uni and all I do is work!
It really upsets me when he says this but I feel too pathetic to say anything because I’m so insecure about it anyway. I justify it because both the friends I have separate from work seem to have even less ‘social life’ than I do. They have a few friends from school but just hang out with their partner mostly like me. I just have the added bonus of work friends.
I was in a long term relationship as soon as I left school so I had a lot of mutual friends with my ex that I lost when it ended and I haven’t really made many independent from that since. It’s a real insecurity of mine.
My boyfriend had a large group of friends that he lost when we got together because him and his ex girlfriends friends were all intertwined (all his guy friends are in relationships with all her girl friends) and they just separated since then so all he really has is work friends, me and one or two people he sees separately but rarely. It was more so his choice to stop being friends with them though as they’ve all kind of splintered off in their own direction.
I feel insecure also because maybe he sees me as weird because I haven’t lost a huge group of mates recently, I just didn’t have many in the first place. If we broke up, I’m pretty sure I’d lose that inner work circle. I Just feel so lonely anyway and his comments are making it worse. Is my current social life really that dire? He kind of makes me feel like I have nothing without him, at least that’s how it makes me feel. I know it’s not his intention.

I have to leave the country for a few months and sadly I can’t take my cat with me. I’m leaving her with a family member that already has three adult cats, mine is also and adult so it’s making the process harder. Two of them mostly ignore her or hiss at worst. But one of them does this weird meowing sound that resembles more of a growl, which doesn’t sound great, and doesn’t respect her boundaries at all. he’s quite insistent on getting in the room where me and my cat are staying and keeps scratching at the door every now and then. We had a bit of an incident because my cat got scared and ran off and he followed her, it didn’t end quite amicable but they didn’t really harm each other only continued with the growling and hissing. I’m a bit puzzled because I had seen the towering over and meowing before with other cats but I hadn’t seen it be as insistent on getting to the other cat, it was aggressive while they were together but out of sight out of mind once separated. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience on it or if this behavior is overtly dangerous since my cat is at clear disadvantage if something were to happen. Any help is welcomed.

Iv had the full mastectomy but my surgeon was gonna take two more surgeries and I really don't want to do that after all, to much fear and anxiety and issues with waking up from surgery I didn't know till that surgery itself.
So say if I wanted to go with another surgeon, would anyone just be able to give me A cups instead (if it results in one surgery and done) or is it impossible since I had the mastectomy?
I'm also still looking into surgery revolving around just having a flat chest but again only if it can be done in one surgery, not looking to get nipples resized.

Hello, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend for advice as we are incredibly worried about him, and his mental state is spiraling due to how long this has been occurring.
Sex: M Age: 61 Height: 5'10" Weight: ~160 lbs Medical conditions: rheumatoid arthritis Medications: currently none; previously: etanercept, and before that, prednisone. Unsure on specific dosages. Drugs: no hard drugs or alcohol, smoked prior to etanercept injections but has since stopped Location: BC, Canada

My friend has RA and was taking prednisone for the pain and inflammation in his joints and extremities, around late March/early April he was prescribed an etanercept injection to further improve his condition. It is an injection that he takes to the abdomen, once weekly.
The first two injections he took as prescribed. He experienced fatigue, which he was told was a side-effect to the etanercept, but that it would go away as his body got used to the medication. The pain and inflammation went away but the fatigue lingered, he just fought through it during the work day. A few days after he took his third injection (Thursday), he fell sick with what was presumed to be a cold. The first day he had regular symptoms of coughing, headache, etc., the second day he said he felt a bit better. But by the third day (the weekend of April 19), he was bedridden, and has been so for the past 7 weeks.
His symptoms up until 2 weeks ago included extreme shortness of breath and fatigue. He could not sit up for longer than a few minutes as he would get tired, he could not walk far as he would get winded. Basically any activity that he could do with ease previously became extremely difficult as he would run short of breath and get tired very quickly. Some examples: he would get tired from things like getting out of bed, walking to the washroom (which was 20 feet away), eating, blowing his nose, even talking for more than a minute had him catching his breath as if he had just run a marathon. A shower would knock him out for the rest of the day due to the amount of movement and standing this required, and he could not do this on his own either as he did not have any strength. His life the past 2 months have been completely bedridden aside from the occasional eating and washroom. He also cannot sleep properly like before, his sleep is very broken and he usually is not able to doze off until around 3-4am for a couple hours, which may also be contributing to the fatigue.
2 weeks ago, we went to ER after his symptoms began to worsen, and he was admitted for one week. He had just taken his 4th dose of etanercept one day prior to his admittance - he had called his rheumatologist to see if he should still be taking this medicine, but the specialist was not in and the receptionist was not sure either, basically they said that it's not a medication that he should just start and stop, so he ended up taking it. At the ER, they performed a chest x-ray initially thought there was something in his lungs, and was prescribed antibiotics via IV. I'm not exactly sure what was given to him. The dark spot that they saw turned out to be a false alarm, but I believe they did finish his round of antibiotics since he had already started.
The doctor said that his kidneys and his liver had basically started to fail, and if he had been admitted 2 weeks later, his lungs would have collapsed. His muscle enzymes were extremely low, which we were told was the cause of his lack of strength. He also had these rashes on his legs, red spots all over under the skin but were not bumpy or itchy to the touch, which we were told was a symptom of liver failure. Since then, the doctor said that his kidney and liver function has stabilized and should recover over time, as well as his muscles. The spots on his legs have cleared up a lot for the most part.
He has been home for about a week and a half now, and his condition, while improved since prior to his hospital visit, seems to have stalled. His breathing has improved a lot, he no longer gets short of breath after a short walk to the washroom, but still cannot go far. However, the fatigue is still there, and he is still incredibly weak, and still has trouble getting out of bed, or out of a chair if it is too low. The doctor said it may take a few weeks for the etanercept to completely clear from his system, but we haven't seen much improvement in the last few days. Some days he has a bit more energy than others, but he still gets tired after eating or using the washroom, or showering, and has to lie down for a while before feeling better. Sometimes after eating, he will have occasional diarrhea, this has lessened since his return from the hospital but still occurs. Since he has fallen sick in April, he has lost over 20 lbs.
Is there anything that we are missing in terms of helping his recovery? Anything we should be doing, or anything he should be taking, either supplements or vitamins or such, anything he should be eating or drinking, etc? All he does is eat and lie in bed since his strength has not returned, and due to how long this has been ongoing, it's starting to negatively affect his mental state. I'm incredibly worried about him and am looking for any insight as to what we can do to help him recover and feel better sooner.

While scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon an obviously fake profile featuring a 'dying dog' and its 'owner' requesting money for treatment. Initially dismissing it as foolish, I decided to check the comments, and to my surprise, people actually believed it.
Intrigued by the gullibility I witnessed, I decided to conduct a little experiment. Creating my own profile, I collected various videos of a single dog from the internet, set up accounts on Instagram and TikTok, and began sharing sad videos of the dog accompanied by sad music. I fabricated a story claiming that the dog, let's call him ‘Connor’, had recently been diagnosed with cancer and had approximately a month left before irreversible damage occurred. I sought financial assistance, stating that the cost of treatment amounted to $1620.
Within just three days, the pages garnered a staggering 60k followers, and to my surprise, I received around £300 in donations when I checked my PayPal account.
However, here’s the however, as I read the heartfelt messages from individuals who claimed to have experienced similar situations and were therefore offering their support, I couldn't bear it any longer. I faked the dog's death and ultimately refunded all the donations instead of keeping them.

-Great question! In a nutshell, each class will have distinct strengths and weaknesses. Team composition, tactical positioning, and info gathering will be key skills for players to master in their "strategic duels" with other teams.

-Not sure yet. We're still experimenting and discussing different options.

-Yes, different gear rarities will have noticeable visual differences.

-Every team will have opportunities to revive teammates, though some classes will make reviving easier.

-Damage will not persist between runs, you start each run with full HP.

-Dedicated servers of course. As we get closer to our playtest we will determine server locations.

-They are separate items. The "shield bash" indicates weapon combos being different depending on what items you have equipped in your mainhand/offhand slot.

-For sure, each race will have its own traits, and more races may come in the future if there's enough interest from the community. By the way, we're struggling a bit with human traits. If y'all have any good ideas, let us know in the gameplay-suggestions channel! [We're focused more on traits that adds meaningful gameplay mechanics over just shuffling stats, but nothing too complex.]
