You were on my mind today and I just want to share with you my thoughts.
As I was at the old place and I was sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and doing my damndest with that oven, I thought of you. My thoughts were beginning back to Summer 2021, when I began to feel the pain of our separation. Back then, I thought that it was me struggling with being without you. Now, in 2023, I now realize that the pain and struggle that I was feeling back then was you missing me. As I was wiping down the bathroom and washing those towel rags that I had used as additional mops, I thoughts about those dreams I've had of you. That golden piece of advice that your mom told me (rather, it was my decision to put into practice the wisdom your mom told me) still screams out to me as I'm looking into that now empty bedroom and closet. I wiped the blinds remembering those dreams of you proposing, "GalaxiGazer, will you marry me?" (I'll share one secret from you from those dreams where you proposed and I said "yes" each time with no hesitation. Besides that smug, happy and confident look in your face when you asked me, I had noticed a common theme: there was no ring. Now I know why: I already have it. When you're here, I'll show it to you and explain to you the significance of the ring's design) Back then, in 2021-2022, I laughed at the idea and found the concept nothing more than a joke to me at the time. You, being my husband? You, that guy with whom I had not even had one date? You, being my life partner? Seriously? Well, now, it's starting to grow on me. In fact, it's becoming so strong that I would actually be surprised and shocked as fuck if, for whatever reason, we don't end up being Mr. & Mrs. Who knows? When I stopped for lunch (Sonic) and decided to revisit The Good Place, it was when Michael was introducing those clumsy soulmates as part of his devious scheme in the simulated Bad Place. As I was watching Tahani grumble about her crocs, Chidi struggling to conversate with Pavita, and Jason trying to eventually leave his yurt, I remember when you had introduced me to The Good Place and we started talking about soulmates. Now, at the time (2020), I was very resistant to the idea of a soulmate and found the concept amusing. I've watched the show with appreciation over these past three years and I'm thankful that you introduced the show to me. Even more, I'm beginning to embrace you as my soulmate.
I just want to tell you thank you for continuing to walk with me, even if it's just in your soul and spirit alongside me right now. I'm thankful for the blessing of having you on my mind, almost like you're right here with me. I'm 21f & he's 22M We've known each other since 6th grade and dated on and off. The last time we broke up was in high school freshman year and some years after graduating he wanted to start over. At 1st I didn't want to but decided to try again since we've grown and matured a bit, or at least I did.
Now, we're almost a year into the relationship and I’ve had thoughts about breaking up continuously every few months but I back out bc I feel bad, here's why.
He's not really well off and that's fine if your working hard to be better but,., he's not. I end up paying for pretty much everything and instead of saving money he'll ask me for some money for weed or other unimportant stuff. He's stopped doing that after I talk to him about it. I also have to constantly remind him of focusing on getting/working towards a career. He's jobless and whenever he has a job it's not long he goes back to being at home. He says he's working on getting his career, for ex. Being an electrician, but it's been months since he got his apprentice license and hasn't gotten an apprenticeship ( pls let me know if that's difficult to get), when I did my research on his next steps it didn't seem that difficult so l'm confused on why it's taking so long. He spends most of his home time playing video games, that's fine too bc I play on my PlayStation on my free time.
Before I forget, I am a student studying Communication Technology, wanting to be a Frontend Programmer and UX/UI Designer. I have spending and saving money and always try to find ways to make money when my school schedule is too much for a regular job. I am also blessed to have supporting family members and try to keep in mind that his family isn't as fortunate as mine so I help him with my money as well. But doing it so long feels like I'm taking care of him like a kid, and I don't like that feeling.

I mess around alot with the custom Xenotype creation tools available in the New colony creation system. Awhile back I wanted to create a spartan like xenotype but wasn't sure what xenotype base to use as a starting point. So I looked at one of the more under utilized Xenotypes, the wasters. Lore wise the wasters were engineered to resettle deathworlds and act as area-denial life-forms, I saw the engineered line and thought to myself that this world be a great Xeno line to make subtypes with.
So with that in mind I started thinking what needed to changing and what could stay, but more importantly what purpose would they ultimately serve. I wanted them to be less dependent on toxic environments but still have a focus on being an tactically designed life-form as the core wasters are but less chaotic. So I removed the tox based genes and altered a few of the genes that made them less than ideal for a general colony, made them more suitable for combat overall while making them strongly disciplined and easy to work with.
The end result are the Hercuux the Gene-list for which is: Strong Immunity, Fast Wound Healing, Superclotting, Unconstrained, Dead Calm, Strong melee damage, Red eyes, Only bushy beards, Gaunt head, Human voice, Standard & Thin body types, Slate Gray skin, Dutiful, Nearsighted, Human hands, Arrogant, Aptitude for spear, Awful Shooting, Strong Melee, Awful Animals, Awful Artistic, Awful Intellectual, Psychite Dependency. With the listed Genes they have a complexity of 18 and a Metabolic efficiency of +3 with a hunger rate of x70% (all genes heritable.).
I would love to hear opinions or get additional feedback from others willing to give it a try.
TLDR: I made a xenotype that has high survivability and immense melee combat capacity.

it's great at 3d renders, like hard surface modeling, modern product design, futuristic/scifi/industrial stuff, & adobe illustratovector style illustrations. i tried it for portraits & such but results are not the best. they are realistic but feels like results aren't as good as dreamshaper. stable diffusion model in leonardo often results in images with yellow lights/accents & a dark studio background. im curious what do you guys is it for?

American here (31M, Los Angeles). Just got back from a 2.5-week solo trip to Germany. This was my first visit there, so I wanted to share my experience.
I stayed in the following cities:

• Frankfurt - Amazing skyline, loved viewing it from green spaces throughout the city. The Messeturm, Commerzbank, and St. Bartholomew's Cathedral were my favorite sights.
• Tübingen - Beautiful, brightly-colored medieval buildings. Surprising amount of graffiti, which seemed to clash with the character of the city. But the Neckar Riverfront is lovely to walk along.
• Munich - Gorgeous city. Lively, yet well-kept. I was in a good mood the whole time here. The Residenz Palace and Theatine Church are incredible.
• Nuremberg - Absolutely fascinating place. Well-preserved old town and excellent museums (Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nazi Documentation Center, Nuremberg Trials Memoriam).
• Dresden - The most elegant city. Truly breathtaking architecture (Frauenkirche, Royal Palace, Academy of Fine Arts, etc.). Especially impressive so much of it was rebuilt after WWII destruction.
• Berlin - So unique with so much to enjoy. Reichstag, Fernsehturm, Museum Island (Pergamon and Neues), Charlottenburg, the Wall memorials, East Side Gallery, etc. I can see why Berlin is so beloved.

I also took day trips to the following places:

• Mainz - Very charming and relaxing break from the bigger cities. So many pretty churches, especially the Mainzer Dom, the Christuskirche, and St. Peter's.
• Hohenzollern Castle - Delightful, really cool variety of turrets and towers. Great brown and blue-gray exterior, and more attractive interior than expected.
• Neuschwanstein Castle - A dream. The castle has a great design, and the setting in the Bavarian Alps is spectacular. The interior was surprising, but a fun look into the mind of Ludwig II.

Some general thoughts:

• German people are very friendly, about equal to the French in my experience (I visited France last year). Germans' energy feel more similar to Americans than the French, however.
• English is not as widely spoken as expected. This was generally a non-issue, as most people were helpful and willing to try their best English when I struggled with my German. Younger Germans seem more confident with their English than older Germans do.
• Despite the above, 93% of music played in public was English-language (Lady Gaga, The Offspring, R.E.M., etc.).
• German food is very good, if a bit repetitive (so much pork and potatoes!). The Franconian sausage is my favorite main dish, and the Mandelrolle is my favorite pastry.
• German beer is great too. Augustiner Edelstoff is my favorite. Ayinger Bräuweisse and Augustiner Lagerbier Hell are also good.
• Public transport in every city is fantastic! Rules are a bit inconsistent and confusing though. Example: In Munich, a ticket I bought for the U-Bahn in the city center required validation, but a ticket I bought for the S-Bahn at Leuchtenbergring station was too big for the validation machine. The latter ticket didn't require validation, but I didn't know that until I asked a German for help.
• Deutsche Bahn train system between cities is generally good, but more delays than I expected.
• Despite May temperatures in Germany being roughly the same as France last October, German apartments get much warmer at night.
• If Germany doesn't do air conditioning and you're expected to keep windows open, why no screens to keep out bugs? So many mosquitos, moths, and gnats...
• Smoking shockingly common, especially among young people.
• I respect the frequent bike usage and got used to the bike lanes. But bikes zooming through public squares and such made me jump several times.
• I have never seen more construction in my life.
• As a gay guy, Frankfurt and Berlin have the hottest men. Dresden's pretty good too.
• Germany is a verdant and beautiful country. Loved the mountains and farms of Barvaria, the hills of Saxony, the castles along the Rhine Valley, and the copious amount of parks and green space.

Overall, I had a great trip! Very glad I got to explore Germany and would love to see more of it (Hamburg, Heidelberg, Cologne, etc.). Thank you for making an American feel welcome!
