so i’m again posting a response to another comment i made just because i think it brings up some more very good points.
the comment i responded to essentially said this, ”she will never admit to anything because she is afraid of losing her kids.”
my response is this:
honestly, yeah. and as a mother - it gives me a bit more… understanding? but i don’t know if understanding is the correct word.
i am a mom - a new mom, and a first time mom. my son is 2… and i would do anything FOR him and do anything to KEEP him.
so i can empathize and sympathize with that. i really can.
the issue i think i (and most people, parents or not) have is that her actions that we see and the things that are slipping through the cracks are things that don’t show someone who has their children’s best interests at heart.
especially if some of the rumored things are true. the flushing out her system with water and whatever else - the possible diluted or invalid drug screens that she had to take multiple times. the fact that they would even open a DSS/CPS case in the first place and not immediately find it unfounded. i know how that works because i have a cousin who went through some things. if they don’t have a reason to open a case - they won’t. they won’t reach out in the first place within the first ~72 hours or however much the cutoff is. they would send pamphlets or maybe send someone over from another facility to offer at minimum safe sleep information or whatever other information and no one from the CPS/DSS office will reach out personally unless they are opening a case. even if it’s decided later to be unfounded - and it can be unfounded if someone does literally any and everything to COVER up their fuck ups - they will close it and say it’s “unfounded.”
i also want to add that it depends SO HIGHLY on who your assigned case worker is or how the particular office works itself. SO many workers are underpaid and overworked… that’s why the turnaround rate in that field is astronomically high. there are thousands upon thousands of times where cases that SHOULD have been taken seriously - aren’t. and kids fall through the cracks of that system time and time again and don’t get the help they SHOULD. and i’m not even necessarily saying that’s the name of the game in this situation even… but i am saying it happens. we truly don’t know the inner workings of it - nor will we ever because we are just bystanders to the train wreck this is.
she thinks just because she can say her two cases were unfounded in the end… that she did nothing wrong in the first place. and that’s not true. she had to have done something for them to open those cases in the first place. i promise you that.
source: a family member had some CPS involvement and i saw how that went. i also have my degree in the field of psychology and although i don’t do social work - i am not TOOOOO far from that world and had to learn about that stuff in my education.
as for her cleaning up her act and going to whatever measures she has to to keep her kids… well, i can’t blame her for that. i don’t think any of us who are parents can. i think we all would do the same if we were in her shoes.
i think the point is… we see certain things she is doing as harmful to her children. and those things aren’t necessarily things that ever will get her kids taken from her. and they aren’t things that there are laws against, even though i feel there should be.

don’t offer up info in the first place and say you’re coming correct with proof and then turn around and gas light your audience by calling us crazy and obsessed for wanting the things you originally promised.

- putting her children online without consent and exploiting their life struggles for monetary gain. airing out her family’s dirty toxic laundry on the internet for anyone and their mama to find… peers of her kids, bullies, LITERALLY ANYONE.
- having a brutal and ugly and toxic and abusive separation and relationship with her ex and immediately jumping into a new relationship prior to even giving anyone time to heal.
- making careless and spineless decisions such as (but not limited to) having someone go do a bogus spy mission disguised as a “wellness check” on her ex. which put EVERYONE in danger - including innocent bystanders… the person they sent to do the wellness check… her ex himself… and the relationship of her kids with their father and father figure. (again, if you’re new to my posts. i know our reactions to people’s actions are only our responsibilities - and R is as fault for being unstable and reckless enough to fire rounds in a public space in city limits. however, they could have sent a family member of his over to check on him if they were so worried. and none of that would have happened that way. they wanted to elicit a response and he fell for it. it was conniving and sneaky and toxic and abusive and it worked.)
- IF the rumors are true - she’s had unsavory people around her children. i have a huge heart myself. and i am always forgiving of others and that goes for people of all walks of life. i can understand her forgiving others for their mistakes in their pasts. but girl, just because you have a big heart and forgive others and can look past their pasts doesn’t mean anyone and everyone belongs around your kids. especially during a very difficult adjustment period for them. it’s confusing. it’s not making things better for anyone except your “friends” and yourself. that’s literally it. just because you have a big and forgiving heart does NOT mean that you can overlook and throw caution to the wind when it comes down to HEALTHY BOUNDARIES and a HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT not only for yourself - but most of all your kids.
- the use of different substances around or in the home where your children live. again, if the rumors are true. you can’t just hit the meth pipe for funsies here and there because you think it’s “hot” or whatever was said. you can’t be getting pills from a friend or anyone for any period of time when you don’t have your own prescription or not. her ex either CHOSE to get a hotel during his times of use because even if he’s a train wreck - at least he doesn’t want to subject his kids to it. or else she made him get a room. and i think both of those scenarios happened at different times. as in, there was a period where he chose to leave and then there was a period where he tried to stay home and she made him leave. if he can’t use stimulants and drink at home… girl, you can’t either. that’s the pot literally calling the kettle black.

Hey guys. I’m refinishing my basement, and when I removed the old tub that had been installed, the trap cracked and now needs to be replaced. I had a plumber over for an unrelated reason, and when he saw the materials I had, he told me they weren’t the right things and that it would leak. I’m an electrician, not a plumber, so this stuff is pretty foreign to me. The previous piping was a black 1.5" pipe under the concrete that comes to a pit of gravel. I’m the gravel, there’s a white 90 down, and a white 180 taking the path up to where the tub drain was. I had grabbed a black pipe so I could cut the original one back a bit to get a new trap on, and a black trap. I’ve seen plumbers use black glue for drains, but didn’t see it at Home Depot (I also don’t know what to search in the app to find the right product), so I grabbed a pack of purple primer and blue glue (Christy’s). The drain pipe I got is “ABS cellular core schedule 40 DWV.” I can’t see a label on the existing drain as to what specific material it is. Thanks!

Don’t see a lot of these specific inlays pop up very often, but they are beautiful. I don’t even like orange, but I couldn’t help myself. Carried maybe twice and used to open an amazon package. A few small trails on the clip, which I tried to get on video but they are very light. Ting sound when flipped is really nice. I believe I paid 380.

Winterblade Co. Factor B2- Next we have a Factor in black titanium/grey G10. First owner, swapped to the stronger magnets. Carried a few times and opened a couple of taped boxes, then put on my knife desk and not really used again. Flicked roughly 69,420 times. Beautiful sound. Love it but want a full Ti version. Paid 375 new.

Trying to blend a family but it's not working so well and I don't know what to do. Players are:
Me (32F) - autistic, SO (29M), DS (12M) from my previous relationship, DD (10F) from my previous relationship, DD (1.5F) mine and SO's, aaaand I'm pregnant (not on purpose, but here we are).
So there is a lot to unpack here; I might miss some information but it's not me trying to withhold, just figuring out what's relevant.
SO and DS don't always get along. DS doesn't respect SO and vice versa. DS gives him an attitude and sometimes he'll snap back at him, but other times he'll yell for me (in the middle of all the chaos) to handle it. It's hard to explain, but I'm the type who would rather calm down and talk about serious things when I have my words together and thoughts are calm so that we can have a chill discussion. This hasn't been acceptable for SO in the past, who wants me to say something in the moment (and if it's something like shutting down the attitude, that's easy enough, but if it's something like "this needs to change" I have to get my words together). So I started jumping in in the moment, but sometimes SO will still talk over me even if he's asked me to handle it.
Yesterday I was at the river with the two oldest trying to give them a swimming lesson and SO brought DD(1.5) down to the edge of the water where we were at. DD started throwing sand, which is whatever, because SO wasn't doing anything to redirect her (I had asked him to be in charge of her). But then SO started throwing sand and DS said it was distracting and to stop.
SO: I'm not throwing sand, I'm tossing it in the water.
DS: it's splashing me in the face and I'm trying to balance (tone full of attitude).
SO: What, in 3 feet of water? (Said in a very condescending tone)
(The above bothered me; throwing it in here to give an example of the dynamics.)
So I piped up and said "Yes, in 3 feet of water" in a tone that basically said "stop". Stuff like this happens all the damn time. Note: I'm also not trying to gloss over DS being a brat at times.
There was an incident a little while ago when SO used a vacuum handle to prop open a window and the baby pulled it out. I'll admit, between the pounding head and all the yelling, it took me a minute to even understand what he said and then I was just trying to get my BP down enough so that I could speak without vomiting. Less than 5 minutes later, I see SO shaking his head in the way that meant he was pissed with me, so I asked what for. He was pissed I didn't immediately jump in and ream DS for yelling over him, he's pissed I didn't correct DS in front of him, he's pissed that I didn't understand exactly what he wanted me to reaffirm (because I didn't. I needed to know exactly what lesson he wanted me to get across but he says I should have just known because what he was saying was loud enough for me to hear).
Sorry if this is confusing. As a side note, I blink a lot when my eyes hurt. I'd been doing it all morning. But when I was looking directly at SO and blinking he took offense to it and started sarcastically blinking really fast back and made this "dumb" look at me. I asked what he was doing and he just said he was giving back what he was getting since I looked like I didn't know wtf was going on. I feel this is terribly childish.
When SO stepped out of the room, I reaffirmed everything SO wanted me to with DS. I do this when we're alone so that SO doesn't talk over me or say anything negative to further worsen the situation. I feel like he makes more inflammatory comments toward DS than not, and his tone leaves a lot to be desired. Again, he got mad that I did it while he was out of the room.
Now he's mad that I feel his "sarcastic blinking" was childish, and at this point I feel like he's just finding reasons to be mad (although I understand not wanting to be disrespected and I don't want DS to disrespect him, but I also feel that respect goes both ways).
I've never blended a family before and I feel I'm screwing up royally. Every time SO has an issue with DS's attitude (which is sometimes directed towards me, because he's 12) I have to listen to long-winded rants about it all instead of him just saying "hey this bothers me, how do we address it?"

Me (32F) - autistic, SO (29M), DS (12M) from my previous relationship, DD (10F) from my previous relationship, DD (1.5F) mine and SO's, aaaand I'm pregnant (not on purpose, but here we are).
So there is a lot to unpack here; I might miss some information but it's not me trying to withhold, just figuring out what's relevant.
SO and DS don't always get along. DS doesn't respect SO and vice versa. DS gives him an attitude and sometimes he'll snap back at him, but other times he'll yell for me (in the middle of all the chaos) to handle it. It's hard to explain, but I'm the type who would rather calm down and talk about serious things when I have my words together and thoughts are calm so that we can have a chill discussion. This hasn't been acceptable for SO in the past, who wants me to say something in the moment (and if it's something like shutting down the attitude, that's easy enough, but if it's something like "this needs to change" I have to get my words together). So I started jumping in in the moment, but sometimes SO will still talk over me even if he's asked me to handle it.
Yesterday I was at the river with the two oldest trying to give them a swimming lesson and SO brought DD(1.5) down to the edge of the water where we were at. DD started throwing sand, which is whatever, because SO wasn't doing anything to redirect her (I had asked him to be in charge of her). But then SO started throwing sand and DS said it was distracting and to stop.
SO: I'm not throwing sand, I'm tossing it in the water.
DS: it's splashing me in the face and I'm trying to balance (tone full of attitude).
SO: What, in 3 feet of water? (Said in a very condescending tone)
(The above bothered me; throwing it in here to give an example of the dynamics.)
So I piped up and said "Yes, in 3 feet of water" in a tone that basically said "stop". Stuff like this happens all the damn time. Note: I'm also not trying to gloss over DS being a brat at times.

 | I just can’t bring myself to call it Huxwrk as OSS is a much cooler name, and the can itself has both “HUXWRK” and “OSS” on it. I’m gonna just try to ignore the Huxwrk part. Maybe put a piece of high temp black tape over the Huxwrk part. Lol. Anyway, took me about five minutes to remove the factory flash hider. Used heat and an adjustable wrench. Went ahead and left the screw in spacer on the barrel as it provides much greater surface area for the suppressor adapter. Torqued it down to 30 ft/lbs and then started thinking about the right optic for it. I’m a huge fan of the Trijicon VCOG, and have one of the 6x and 8x versions. Would be nice if I were super duper rich and then I’d have four or five of them… but, you know, in the meantime, I put the 8x on this one. I’ve recently fitted the GTS tail lights which look great, didn’t have them on for these photos though. I’ve also got the 6WB digital cluster which really helped update the interior. Performance wise, only a stage 1 map with an upgraded Masata charge pipe and a MST cold air intake. I felt the extra weight from the convertible roof needed a few more horses to compensate and it’s perfect now - plus the cold air intake noise never gets old 😂 |

1999 bluebird conventional with the 5.9 Cummins 24V developed a rust hole in the exhaust down pipe out of the turbo that is blasting exhaust noise right into the cabin ;-)
Have a field repair in place now (fiberglass tape) but will be looking for a more permanent fix when I get home.

"How it will fucking blow!" Beria supported again, making scary eyes behind his glasses, as if to say that if it blows, it will really blow.
"And what does Comrade Zhukov think?"
Zhukov seemed to have dozed off, but woke up just in time.
"It's a useful thing," the marshal said, jingling his medals. "The army needs it."
"Right," Stalin wisely remarked. "But it needs to be tested. Right, Comrade Voroshilov?"
"Definitely, Koba," the iron commissar supported.
"And on whom? The Jews?"
"It's not worth it on the Jews," Beria boldly said. "We've already tested gases on them. It's not fair."
"Indeed, indeed," Stalin pondered, releasing puffs of smoke. "The Jews might take offense. Thank you, Comrade Beria, for the timely remark. By the way, will you yourself not be a Jew, Comrade Beria? Stalin, as usual, made a successful joke, and everyone laughed. Kalinin and Kurchatov laughed, shaking their beards, Zhukov giggled, Voroshilov laughed out loud, and Beria smiled subtly and said:
"No, Comrade Stalin, I'm Mingrelian."
"Mingrelian, warmed his cock on the stove," Stalin joked again successfully, and the company laughed a little more. Finally, Stalin tapped the bomb with the pipe and remarked:

Kozhedub was the commander of the crew because he shot down 62 enemy planes during the war, while Pokryshkin only shot down 59. That's why Kozhedub rudely told Pokryshkin, who was talking to the technicians:

But Truman had no way of knowing that Comrade Stalin and the Politburo had already left for a large underground bunker that was built precisely in the hope that the bastard Truman would decide to drop an atomic bomb. The plane, under the control of American pilots, named "Enola Gay," was flying directly toward the Soviet plane. It was called "Enola Gay" because there were faggots on board. That's not surprising, because America has always had many faggots, so finding suitable ones among the pilots was not a problem. It was Truman's subtle mockery of the Soviet people. Like, the Americans would fly in, drop the bomb, and Stalin and the entire Politburo would perish. "And fuck you," Pokryshkin thought vengefully.
The decision was made to drop the bomb on America, it was a great idea of Comrade Stalin. However, he had no idea that Truman had also built an atomic bomb and they were bringing it to drop on the USSR. Not just on the USSR, but on Moscow, to kill Comrade Stalin and the Politburo. But Truman had no way of knowing that Comrade Stalin and the Politburo had already left for a large underground bunker that was built precisely in the hope that the bastard Truman would decide to drop an atomic bomb. The plane, under the control of American pilots, named "Enola Gay," was flying directly toward the Soviet plane. It was called "Enola Gay" because there were faggots on board. That's not surprising, because America has always had many faggots, so finding suitable ones among the pilots was not a problem. It was Truman's subtle mockery of the Soviet people. Like, the Americans would fly in, drop the bomb, and Stalin and the entire Politburo would perish. The Russian people would learn about it from the newspapers the next morning and say to each other, "Did you hear? The Americans bombed Comrade Stalin and the entire Politburo!" - "What faggots!" And indeed, there were faggots there. What a humiliating incident. In short, the faggots were flying toward the Soviet plane of Kozhedub and Pokryshkin, listening to Glenn Miller, and the Soviet pilots had no idea. The flight paths of the planes intersected somewhere over Japan.
"Look, Comrade Kozhedub!" Pokryshkin said, nudging his commander with his foot. "Look... a plane!"
"What is this?" Kozhedub wondered, opening his eyes. Indeed, a large plane was flying towards them, seemingly American.
"These are Americans flying, Comrade Kozhedub," Pokryshkin reinforced his suspicions. "They're flying in our direction! And behind us is Moscow!"
"Let's ask them," Kozhedub decided and opened the window.
"Hey, guys!" he shouted in English, sticking his head out. "Where are we headed?"
"That's what we'll tell him," the Americans thought, but said aloud, "Just around. Taking a ride."
"So are we," Kozhedub lied, and to himself, he noted that there was a big bomb hanging under the tail of the American plane, probably atomic. After hiding back inside, he said to Pokryshkin, "They're bringing an atomic bomb, those faggots. Call Comrade Stalin."
Comrade Stalin sat in the underground bunker and argued with Voroshilov whether the bomb would explode or not, when a telephone operator approached and said, "It's for you, Comrade Stalin."
Stalin asked sternly, "Who is it?"
"It's Pokryshkin, Comrade Stalin!" the pilot hurriedly spoke on the phone. "The Americans are here, Comrade Stalin! Those bastards are also carrying a bomb!"
"Why did you become dumbfounded over it?" Stalin asked.
"We're flying, Comrade Stalin! We just got delayed. It doesn't look good..."
"Hmm... Well, wait a little there, I'll consult with my comrades."
Covering the phone with his hand, Stalin said, "Pokryshkin is calling. He says the Americans are also carrying a bomb, bastards."
"We'll shoot them down," Voroshilov said. "We'll send the fighter squadron immediately."
"I wish you'd shoot them all," Stalin grumbled. "Even a fool can do that."
Here's what we'll do. Get Truman on the other line for me. And he opened the line himself and said to Pokryshkin, "Keep them detained for a while, and we'll make a decision."
"Yes, Comrade Stalin!"
Pokryshkin covered the phone with his hand and said to Kozhedub, "Do whatever you want, Comrade Kozhedub, but we need to detain the American plane. Comrade Stalin will make the decision."
Kozhedub leaned out of the window again and said, "Hey, guys! What's hanging under your tail?"
"A bomb," the Americans said.
"Why is it so big?"
"Just because," the Americans replied, "no big deal. What about you?"
"We have one too," Kozhedub said.
Down below, the Japanese were gathered, wondering what was happening. They tried firing their anti-aircraft guns, but it was all in vain—the planes were too high. Emperor Hirohito called upon the kamikaze pilots, ordering them to fly and shoot down the enemy planes. But the kamikaze, as expected, took their time with the ritualistic songs, drank sake, and tied headbands... The Japanese, what can I say.
In the meantime, Stalin was connected with Truman. "Hello, Mr. Truman?" "Mr. Stalin? How are you, and how's the weather?" "Thanks to your prayers. Here's the thing—a little plane of ours was flying over Japan..." "Well, that's good for you." "But then yours was coming towards it..." "Well, we're at war with them." "But why the bomb?" "Well, we're at war with them! And besides, you have a bomb too." The Americans, those bastards, also called Truman, of course. "We're at war with them," said Stalin. "We'll drop a bomb on them now." "Then go ahead." "No, you go first!" "And you'll deceive us." "We?! Have we ever deceived anyone?!" "Oh, plenty." "And you, even more so." "And you communists, one can't trust communists." "And you bourgeois, one can't trust bourgeois either. Lenin said so. " "Your Lenin is an idiot!" "And your Lincoln is a Jew and a faggot, and Washington is a fool, and Jefferson is a moron, wipe your ass with your constitution on Independence Day. And in general, fuck off." Stalin wisely said, "I'll hang up now." Truman couldn't find anything to say and fell silent. "Alright, Mr. Stalin," he said. "We'll drop the bomb. But you drop one too!" "We'll drop it, we'll drop it," Stalin assured him. The Americans did drop the bomb, and they flew back home. The bomb fell, and it exploded! The next morning, the Japanese went out all over the country, reading newspapers and telling each other, "Did you hear? The Americans dropped a bomb on Hiroshima!" - "Those bastards!" And indeed, they were bastards. What a shameful incident, even for the Japanese, despite being a yellow-faced people. And our planes kept flying over Japan. Then Truman called Stalin and said angrily, "Hello! Mr. Stalin, this isn't fair!" "You got screwed! You got screwed!" Stalin rejoiced. "This is unworthy," Truman said. "Well, who cares." "We didn't agree on this." "So what?" "You promised to drop the bomb too!" "But we didn't. We'll drop it on you now, haha!" "Then we'll drop another one on you! We still have it!" "Wait a moment, Mr. Truman, I need to consult with the Politburo," Stalin said, getting serious. "It's quite possible that they have another bomb," Beria said, after listening. "Don't we have one?" Stalin asked. "Not yet, Comrade Stalin," Kurchatov was scared. "But we'll make one soon!" "Too late," Stalin waved his hand. "So, what should we do?" "Let's drop it there. I suggested testing it on the Japanese," Voroshilov proposed. "Alright, but not right away. Let Truman squirm a little," Stalin said and contacted Truman again. "Hello, Mr. Truman? Well, we're considering it."
The Red Star plane circled above Japan, running low on fuel. The heroic crew finished their last can of canned meat when a message finally came from the ground: "Drop it closer. Stalin." "What do we have there?" unshaven Kozhedub rejoiced, pulling the map closer. "Let's see... Osaka... Yokosuka... Nagasaki..." "They're all bitches and bastards over there," Pokryshkin said, licking the can from the inside. "Which bastard was the last one?" "Nagasaki," read Kozhedub. "Well, fuck 'em then," said Pokryshkin, pressing the button.
Thus, in 1945, there was no nuclear war between the two great powers.

Bond generally wields a sidearm with lethal efficiency, along with a number of incredible gadgets developed by the geniuses at Q Branch. With his remarkable physical ability and ever-changing bag of tools, there isn't an international crime organization that Bond has failed to take down. The only thing that could possible distract Bond are his own vices: women or booze, both of which have gotten one over on him in the past.
Sean Connery- 1962 to 1967, once more in 1971. Physically strong, numerous gadgets disguised as everyday items. Adept in traditional spy skills, like infiltration and observation.
George Lazenby- Once in 1969. Very similar to Connery in his craftiness, skilled specifically in winter sports.
Roger Moore- 1973 to 1985. Downright campy, making use of almost cartoonish skills that actually work in-universe. Skilled driver and pilot with a variety of gadgets.
Timothy Dalton- 1987 to 1989. Colder and more quick to become violent than the others. Usually carries a firearm and a lethal gadget to kill enemies.
Pierce Brosnan- 1995 to 2002. Best variety of gadgets of any Bond. Great feats of endurance and athletic ability.
Daniel Craig- 2006 to 2021. The most realistic Bond, yet has some of the most impressive physical abilities in any of the movies. Low variety of gadgets, but excels in gunfights.

Hello.
I will remain anonymous in this discussion but I wanted to let you all know what this message is for. It's for the sheer amount of incompetence I've experienced for my first ever rental. I live in IN and they own our apartment complex. We moved in about 7 months ago, last October.
The "tour" they give is a joke. You have to pay them to even get a chance to go into the property and then you never talk to anyone in person. Not to mention the apartment was filthy.
We decided to go ahead and take the place because the rental property said that it was ready to be inhabited now and that it was all taken care of etc.
Move-in day: we get there with all our stuff and guess what it is filthy just like before. Dirty carpet from the 80s, never cleaned behind appliances, black mold in the vents, ac panel didn't even work, all the outlets weren't functioning properly, filthy bathrooms and everything, not to mention roaches that have shown up. Never seen them before in my entire life. Also on top of this the doors weren't sealed correctly in the winter and I wasn't about to wait for their lazy good for nothing team to help with that. Fixed it myself and ofc they didn't reimburse me for the stuff I FIXED.
But of course they make you sign the rental agreement before moving in. ( My biggest mistake of my life ) but they willing and KNEW it was filthy but still said it was a habitable environment. It took us 4 months to get all of this fixed btw and we still have had issue after issue with this complex and they don't give a crap unless you mention anything about money. Then they care.
It's now closing in on half a year of living here and the only plus I would give is the home is quiet. The refrigerator is missing a light that doesn't work at all, we haven't been able to wash our clothes in a month now too, and we still have a bug issue. Oh I forgot to mention that the stove was put in incorrectly and Bec of that we had a gas leak for god knows how long too.
The kicker? Was on Christmas Eve a pipe burst and our living room flooded and we had to deal with that OURSELVES. You know the reimbursement I got for 2 days of shop vaccing our carpet? (After 2 weeks of arguing about it) $90 👏👏👏 amazing. After that, that was it. I want out so bad it's incredible how bad they are at doing anything right.
Overall NEVER EVER EVER EVER rent from these people. They will not respond to you for days and you will have to constantly email them over and over to get any response and most of the time the responses will be "we haven't heard any update, still waiting on that I'll get back when I hear something" and they never do. It's always you contacting them like a puppy trying to get food.
Everyone there is incredibly stupid, incompetent, and doesn't give a crap about you only your money.
So after all this, what do you think I should do? Break my lease and don't look back or live there till the lease ends and then dip asap. At this point I don't care either way.

So I recently got a job at this video store in my town. The place has been open for as long as I could remember. And through circumstances I will not get into now, I was hired there. Now, I am using the term ‘Video store’ very loosely here. It’s more of a large storage facility that just so happens to rent out VHS tapes. And weirdly enough, the store actually gets quite a few customers.
I am only one of three employees that work at the store. There is also the manager but I had only seen him once throughout my whole time working here. One of the employees that works with me to serve the customers is a girl, who I will call Sunny. I see Sunny at the front desk, or in the break room making her 100th coffee. There is also Jared, the store's Archivist. He does as his job title implies. He is given a box of VHS tapes and is told to watch, catalog, and sort them into the store.
The store itself is a whole different story. On the outside, it just looks like your average brick and mortar warehouse. The inside however, if I may describe it in one word, is dark. I have no idea why but there are now windows in the store. The only windows being the glass doors at the front entrance. So when you need to navigate the store, in search of a tape, you need to bring a flashlight with you. And even with a source of light, the place is like a labyrinth. Going deeper into the store proves to be the most frustrating and stressful part of the job. As you need to do it quickly if you don't want the customer to grow impatient. I now cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for Sunny. As she does the night shift at the store. So it is dark inside and out.
Lastly there are the customers. They are peculiar to say the least. They range from salesmen, homeless people, Even clowns that one time. I've heard from Sunny that when it is night shift. You get some weird customers.
So, now that I have told you what my job is, Ill tell you what got me into this mess. I just arrived at the store early this morning. When I do, I always find Jared in the break room, making himself some tea. This time he wasn't there. “Hey Sunny, where’s Jared?”
Sunny turned her head to face me while she was making herself coffee. “He called in sick today. The manager also wants to see you upstairs in his office.
My stomach churned when she said that. The first time I met the manager I was instantly freaked out by him, his skin was almost perfect. like a wax doll, And his ear to ear smile with perfectly symmetrical teeth made me shiver, he looked like an idyllic business man, almost like a living parody of one.
I walked up the metal stairs to his office and opened the door. The manager was sitting in his chair filing some paperwork. He asked me to sit down. “So new employee. How are you coping?” His voice was sincere yet eerie. He gave that familiar ear to ear, perfect teeth grin. “Good sir.”
“Amazing news new employee! Now as you may have heard from the night shift employee. Our archivist has called in sick. So I’ll be making you the surrogate archivist for today.” the manager said. Opening his desk drawer and pulling out a key, the key’s head was painted with a pale, sickly green color. “Now I know that you have only been working here for how long?”
“Oh uh, 1 month sir.” I answered. His face contorted into what looked like a surprised face. “ 1 whole month. So you have fitted in nicely? Got along with the two employees?” He stretched out the ee’s in ‘employee’ to make his point. “Yes sir.”
“Good then. Now the green key is to unlock the archivist’s office. The night shift employee will guide you. If you do a good job, then I will give you a bonus for this week's wages. But any mistakes. Well, the consequences will be costly.” The seriousness of his tone completely caught me off guard. A hot, red fuzzy feeling grew ever present in my gut. “I-I understand sir.”
“Alrighty-yo then. Now get moving.” the manager turned his focus back to the paperwork. I took the green key from him and walked down the iron steps.
Meeting Sunny below. She took me to the archival room. “Alright. The door opens with the green key, you have it?” she looked back at me. I took the green key out of my pocket to show her. “Okay, now listen to me. If you are in any trouble. There is a black phone near the bottom of the steps. There will be two options on it. Being the front desk and the manager's office. Press the front desk if you need my help. You understand.” her voice was assertive. I nodded solemnly. She said goodbye and walked away from me. I waved and looked back at the door in front of me.
Opening the door I was surprised to find a long dark stairway leading into the inky abyss. I took out my small flashlight and flicked it on. Flashing the light down the stairway it just showed more steps. With a long sigh I stepped down, closing the door behind me. The soles of my shoes tapped against the steel steps. Sending a slight echo throughout as I descended. To keep my mind off of the fuzzy feeling in my gut, I started counting every step I took. When my foot hit the smooth concrete floor at the bottom, I had counted around 50 steps.
I flashed the light across the basement. The walls were simply just featureless, smooth concrete. The only things in the basement were Four shelves, all different colors ranging from red,purple,blue and green. An old CRT Tv near the middle of the room, it looked like one of those old tv’s teachers would wheel into class to play a movie or something.
There was also an old desk hugging the wall, only a few feet away from the CRT Tv. Some journals lay strewn about. With a singular page torn out, laying on a bunch of notebooks. I came closer to read the page. Here is what is said;
“Hey Buddy. So if you are reading this then that means that I am probably at home, in bed, coughing my lungs out. I haven't been feeling well yesterday and decided to write this note as the manager is probably going to ask you to do my job. So I’ll be leaving this note here with the rules on what to do.
1st— All the tapes you need to watch are in the box near the Tv. Pop them in and watch them. If you didn’t finish a tape. Whether it be for having explicit imagery or it was just causing too much distress. Pop it out and slap a Golden star sticker on the side.
2nd— there are four shelves, all different colors. Red is for if it is explicit stuff. Purple are for tapes that seem normal but give you an uneasy feeling, make your body ache, pain etc. Blue are for tapes that are just static and random flashing lights. And lastly green is if the tape is just a regular old by the books VHS.
3rd— there will be a notebook titled ‘Volume-124’ lying beneath the page you are reading. Make sure to document what you saw on those tapes. If you don't know how you should document them. Just look at some examples in the notebook itself.
4th— Do not. Under any circumstances. Watch a VHS with a red strip of duct tape stuck on its side. If you encounter one, then please leave it. Don’t touch it. Don't look at it. Don't even think about it when you see it.”
That was all the letter had to say before I turned around and looked at the box, lying near the Television set.
Opening the box I found it filled to the brim with neatly stacked VHS tapes. I decided to take my phone out of my pocket to check the time. 8:30.
I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket. Best to get it done and not slack off.
The first few tapes that I watched were slightly unnerving. Some were old cartoons that made my body feel stiff. Others seemed to be videos of crime scenes. I wrote down what I saw on the volumes. The examples I had to look at in the notebook just showed I had to write short sentences with a clear point on how they made me feel, what was the tape about and what category it ends off with an ascending number. ‘Tape 2234’ and then ‘Tape 2235’.
I won't be talking about all of the ones I saw. But there were a few I had to mention. There was one that was some old student project film about a half bunny, half man that was going on a rampage throughout a college dorm. The blood and viscera made me think that the practical effects of this movie were realistic. I am a bit too realistic. So I thought of just putting it on the red shelf and moving on.
Another VHS featured a documentary about this old farm. Retelling the generations of its inhabitants and how they seemingly died of strange causes. Like being impaled by a tree branch or seemingly strung up in the barn. It was actually quite a bit entertaining in the way you find murder documentaries entertaining. It was descriptive with the details. Which is technically telling ‘explicit information’, but again, no gore or frightening material. Si just just put the tape on the desk and told Jared I didn't know what to do with it.
I was finally now finished down to only two tapes. I now saw the tape with red on it. Now if I was an absolute idiot I would have watched it. Ignoring the rules laid out by my good old friend Jared. Don’t get me wrong, I was very much tempted to pop it in and watch it. See why it was so forbidden. See if it is a snuff film. But well, the fear of actually seeing a snuff film and getting in trouble for it, stopped me.
So I took the VHS That lay beside it. The name of it was scribbled on its side. ‘Lisa.’
I inserted it into the player. The subsequent screen that flashed on the tv was of a cellar door. The footage had an unusual blue, distorted filter to it. Like the camera that was filming was submerged into water. I sat there in the uncomfortable fold up chair, Staring at the screen unblinkingly. After some indeterminate time had passed. I stood up from the chair. My gaze upon the screen now gone. The sound of screeching metal erupted from the television. I jumped and cursed under my breath. Quickly flicking my gaze back at the screen.
The Rusted cellar doors were now open. Revealing a deep void. I stood. The warm fuzzy feeling I had felt was now ever present across my whole body. From the void, a pale hand emerged. It was heavily contrasted against the blackness behind it. The arm stretched out and grabbed the dead grass in front of the cellar. Then slowly. Another pale hand appeared. Doing the same as the others. The arms now seemed to haul up a ghostly looking woman. Her long, jet black hair covering her face.
Suddenly, the arms propelled the figure out of the cellar, moving swiftly and smoothly towards the screen. I couldn't help but give out a startled gasp as I was jumpscared by the video. The figure of the woman was now inches away from the supposed camera filming her. Her face is now slightly visible.
The skin on her cheeks and jaw were stretched thin. The iris of her eyes is a deep crimson color. I never in my life expected what was about to happen.
With an eerie determination, she pressed her hand against the screen, her pale fingers pushing through, defying the boundaries of reality. I couldn't help but scream in terror. She started climbing out. Water spilling over from the film world into mine. Her long black hair trailing along as half her body was now out of the television.
My fight or flight response kicked in as I grabbed the metal fold up chair and hurled it at her, then booked it for the stairs. Now I know that I had counted 50 steps on this stairway, but my feet probably landed on only a quarter of them as I was jumping hurriedly across 2 to 3 steps at a time.

I grabbed the handle of the metal door and pulled. It didn't budge. Looking behind me I saw she was now crawling up the stairs like a feral beast. Rapidly approaching. I pulled the green key out of my pocket but it slipped and fell onto the floor.
The ghost woman was only 6,5, only 4 steps away from presumably ripping my souls out of my body and sending me to hell. So, out of sheer panic. I thrusted my leg out. My foot connected to her face with enough force that she lurched backwards and started falling down the steep stairway. The woman was wailing out until her head landed on the step. Her screams cut short with a loud crack and tumbled hearing her tumble the last few remaining steps before silence.
I was cupping my hands over my mouth. Trying my best not to scream. I stood there for what felt like an eternity before I slowly started descending back to the basement. The now familiar glow of the Tv showed that the woman was very much not moving.
An inky black liquid was seeping out of her opened skull onto the smooth concrete floor. I then remembered what Sunny had told me. And so I looked around and saw the black phone on the wall near the steps.
The only buttons on it had the words ‘manager’s office’ and ‘front desk’. I took the handset of the phone and pressed the ‘front desk’ button. A short beep came out the receiver before I heard Sunny’s voice.
“I’ll be right over.” is all that she said to me. That was an hour ago as of typing this. So now here I am asking you this question. How do I dispose the body of a ghost?

During the progressive relaxation exercise I felt myself losing awareness of each area of the body in turn. It felt like deliberate dissociation, which is something I'm quite skilled at in my day to day life, so this wasn't surprising to me.
Once the countdown reached ten, the first thing that happened was that I had the sense that I was looking at a flat black surface some distance from me. There was a dimensionality to it, I felt like I was looking AT the darkness as an object. This is very different to the amorphous, pressing, all encompassing darkness I normally see when I close my eyes, and it felt notably odd and different.
My heart rate began to increase at this point and my body began to feel prickly and warm.
I then began to lose all sense of connection to my physical body (except for my heartbeat) and with it, my sense of gravity and direction, so I felt as if I was spinning in a void, specifically rotating clockwise. I have experienced this sensation before but only during neurological episodes caused by a medical condition I have, so I instinctively perceive this "zero gravity" sensation as pathological and it causes me anxiety.
Consequently I started to freak out a bit and had to consciously remind myself that I was in control, I had chosen to embark on this journey, and I was free to dip out at any time. After a while the anxiety settled but the sensation of floating reduced too. I think the anxiety pulled me out of it a little. However, now that I've done it once and know what to expect I think it won't be a problem in the future, and hopefully I'll be able to just relax and enjoy it.
I am genuinely shocked that this exercise had the effect it did, given that I've never experienced anything close to this intensity from meditations before. Usually I either just fall asleep, or get really relaxed and drowsy but don't experience anything interesting or profound. This felt like it was actually hacking my neurology which is really cool.
Also, I finished the tape at exactly 12am, without planning to.
