Over the last couple of weeks, I've put together a mod for an old flash game I often come back to. Not sure if it can be called an incremental, but the grindiness and upgrade system of the game really feels like it shares the same spirit, so I ended up deciding to post it here. It particularly reminds me of LBR, which I play a lot. This mod aims to fix various bugs and exploits, QOL improvements, as well as adding new post-game objectives.
All credit to the original author - what I've done is trivial by comparison.
There are still a bunch of things on the todo list, and the new content is not really balanced properly yet, but I'm sort of losing motivation to work on it without any feedback. If people like this, I'll work on it some more. Here's a full list of changes:

There are still a bunch of things on the todo list, and the new content is not really balanced properly yet, but I'm sort of losing motivation to work on it without any feedback. If people like this, I'll work on it some more. Here's a full list of changes:
- battles defeated with Order of the Star equipped, are marked gold on the map
- enemies killed with Order of the Star equipped, are marked with a star in the bestiary, and add to your completion percentage
- shopkeepers can be fought with Order of the Star equipped, and have assorted new battle mechanics
- added a hidden easter egg, unlocked after defeating a Demon Lord
- prevented walking outside the game window using the Coin of Bravery, also functions correctly in shrine battles
- increased size of the black mask covering outside game window
- when leaving any battle, you appear on the map in your previous position
- added a buy-max button to every shop where appropriate
- require clicking the save-reset button 10 times to confirm reset
- randomized names are romanized correctly, and saved to your file instead of regenerating every time you start the game
- current companion is saved to your file
- various other misc cosmetic and minor bug fixes

I know, I know, this is just me saying he was not guilty. Everybody says they are not guilty. Right? But below is the proof: Paul Hoover Pardon The Governor of a state does not just "willy-nilly" decide to pardon someone from a crime because his coffee creamer tasted extra good that day. It takes a lot of time, a lot of research, and a lot of people reviewing the case for the Governor of a state to pardon a person of a conviction. The reason for this pardon was that upon further review, the Governor and his legal staff determined that there was never sufficient cause to convict Paul Hoover of Domestic Assault and Unlawful Use of A Firearm to begin with. The prosecutor in this case did not care if there was ANY cause much less probable cause to convict Paul Hoover. The prosecutor's name is Merrilee Crocket and she was the prosecutor in Columbia, Missouri. It is not this one incident that would make RMRI, LLC. advocate about how reckless she was with people's lives and how nasty of a person she is, with no regard for whether the people she prosecuted were actually guilty or not. RMRI, LLC. has been to court in cases with her many times, and we were on the winning side every time. We made her dismiss a case because we challenged the evidence in a court hearing for spoliation issues, of course though she did have the "FEDs" pick the case up, the defendant's name was Chad Mullen. We were on the winning side of a case where we proved that a young lady in college had no intent to get some illegal content over LimeWire, this young lady was found not guilty on all counts. Merrilee Crocket did not care if the evidence showed there was no intent to receive the files this nineteen-year-old college student did, Merrilee Crocket was trying to put her in jail for seven years and get her on the sex offender registry for the rest of her life. This young lady's name was Kristen Lamb. Here is a link if you want to read about this case. Kristen Lamb Trial Effectively, Merrilee Crocket was trying to completely ruin this young lady's life. The reason that Merrilee Crocket like prosecuting these cases was because they were easy, all she has to do was play on the emotions of the Jury. I mean, everyone wants to convict a person that looks at child pornography whether they are guilty or not, right? Fortunately in the cases that RMRI, LLC. worked against Merrilee Crocket, RMRI, LLC. and the defense attorney "beat the bloomers off of her". RMRI, LLC. was there to help a few people that would have fallen 'victim" to Merrilee Crocket's disregard for any sign of actual innocence in her prosecutions, but she did ruin a lot of people's lives. I wonder if a person can be proud of the sum total of their life is calculated by how many people's lives they have ruined. This is what we have to demand that our system do better, hire a higher quality of person that has this type of responsibility. This is a responsibility for people's lives, nothing else should be taken more seriously than this. Effectively, what we saw here was a wrongful conviction of Paul Hoover, because the prosecutor did not care to look any further into the case. The prosecutor took an emotionally charged case and ran with it for a conviction to get a notch on her belt at the prosecutor's office, innocence be damned. This is why we are getting more and more wrongful convictions. This is why states are being sued for these wrongful convictions. Prosecutors don't care because they have a very broad form of immunity, they have Absolute Immunity Any kind of immunity for prosecutors, law enforcement, and Judges has ALWAYS been a bad idea. If the prosecutor is afraid to do their job because they can't have immunity to shield them from misdeeds, they were probably going to do something they should not have been doing to begin with, same goes for law enforcement officers and Judges. We as a society should demand more. Let's start demanding more, contact your legislature, your congress, demand better. An injustice against one, is an injustice against all. And remember: When you talk to your private investigator, ask some questions and write down his or her answers. Don't be afraid to ask questions, after all it is your money you are spending. I have hundreds of old photos of of famous landmarks that I scanned in. I want them location tagged so they show up in heat map and also the photo location. The photos have no date, no GPS info. However, when I use google lens, it correctly identifies the location almost all the time.
I know that Google Photos is supposed to locate photos based on landmark, and it does in terms of photo search (if I search for the landmark name, it correctly identifies it). But if I look at the photo location or the heatmap of locations visited, it's not there.
Maybe I could API something, google vision API will return a placename to me from any picture, but it doesn't provide a gps coord, and so I'd be also looking at a lookup of it based on the detected name.. Unlikely to work reliably.
Any suggestions? It's frustrating that with all the AI advances, Photoshop regenerative fill, text to image midjourney, etc.. NO ONE is working on describing / identifying images. (image to location/text).

Back story. My mom passed away in 2005 and had a best friend Cara from high school until she died at 65. I became friends with Cara after mom died. We would go and walk on beaches and parks. Go to restaurants. So now in 2023, Cara moved to a fun new city and I am to visit for a week. Just me and her. She lives alone and her kids are adults. I have a family with hubby and adult children and it was nice to go myself. So Day 1. We venture out to a famous market and walked around for four hours. We ate a tourist restaurant so think seem good. Cara invites me to her activities and a play her family is in. Day 2 we go a park beach with no food or activities for four to six hours. We ate at 2-3pm at a diner. Day 3 or 4 we go a museum and a tall building to see the view. It’s 5pm when museum was done. Cara wanted to go back to the museum and see it again and back. Then watch the five movies and the gift store. It was 6:30pm when she finished that. I got light headed, nauseous, and tired feet as we never ate lunch. I say I just need caffeine to calm my stomach and headache or go to eat please. She has no plans. We walk a mile to get to the bus. I finally found a McDonald’s to get a coffee. I stopped clutching my stomach. I told her I feel sick. She said I should have mentioned that I needed a coffee earlier. We didn’t have lunch or dinner. We finally ate at 830pm. I cried myself to sleep as I had more days. The next day I insisted no more 8 miles a day with no food plans. I started using google maps as and is leading us wrong or have us walk 2 miles for a bus when there is one in 5 blocks to connect with. The last day we went to a beautiful beach and walked to the map I used. She insisted the trail is not here but it has a sign. We go in the trail and it’s wonderful. We then go to a restaurant i wanted to go and it was good Asian fusion food. We were at outside seating and the waiter took a while to give her water but I had her water bottle. Then she wanted soy sauce which is not common in the dishes but they got it for her. She starts telling me she is not going to tip. I am like what? We got two checks and since I knew she wasn’t going to tip, I gave the tip to the guy in cash like a $20 while she is going the buttons 18%, custom tip, no tip etc. she said she is going to press no tip. I say go ahead. At the bus stop she did press 18% (like $5) on her receipt and was mad like the did it on purpose. I asked her if she heard of a Karen. They don’t tip either. Then she said it’s not my business to give the waiter the amount of tip she was not providing. Now since I gave the waiter for dealing with Cara a 40% tip and she gave a 18%. That waiter got the biggest tip ever for a $50 check. She also mentioned she doesn’t celebrate birthdays (kids hated her for that)…. There was more.

Hey I just need to vent and I'm not sure where to post this so I'm coming here after my third call with their support team. I live in the city yet the closest target to me is either a 25 minute drive in city traffic (where my car has been hit and run in the parking lot 2x last year) or a 17 minute drive into another state to a mini target where I have to pay a $14.50 toll to get there. It's frustrating. I used to shop multiple times a week as it was my most convient grocery store when I lived down south in the US and was around the corner from my parents home. I have had the same account since 2017 and once again have used it at least once a week every week since then for the most part. Well since moving to the city I began to take advantage of their two day free shipping and just buy what I needed and have it shipped to my apartment building. Most days it would arrive fine in my package room. Other days it would be left outside my building on a city street and guess what? If I wasn't working from home and didn't run it would be taken as soon as it was dropped off most lucky would be if it was left torn open and strewn about on the street. I complained to the building, PD, and Target every time as well as filed a report with both target and the shipping company they used.
The other day I place an order not thinking about it stuff for my partners birthday this weekend and I make the mental note it should come Monday 6/5. Today 6/6 it is still not here. I go on my app and the order was cancelled it says for supply issue. I go back.through add every item to my cart and it will make it barely on time on 6/9 I say that's fine and cancel the items that won't be here in time. I go back to work and then see the email ordered cancelled. Same notice. So I call customer support I'm told my account is suspended. I'm a little confused talk it out hang up and then I decide to call back for more details. I have giftcards and rewards in the app, did I lose those with the suspension etc? Call number two tells me that because I've had stolen packages and live in what's now mapped to target as a high theft area as other people in my building and other buildings near me have the same situation I no longer can place orders for shipping. I'm upset. I'm frustrated, but go back to working.
I decide you know what I'll take the time during my lunch break tomorrow. Hopefully traffic won't be bad. I'll place the order for drive up and just go pick it up that way I don't lose time in my schedule and I also don't leave my car to be hit in the lot. I place the order and an hour later it's cancelled again. I call support back and I can no longer use my account at all and all assets are frozen so I'm losing 6 years of history, $13.57 in reward dollars, and two $50 giftcards. The woman on the phone tells me because I have had three packages stolen from me in the last year from their business and the area I live in. She cannot even submit a claim to have my account become accessible in store. I honestly asked her if we can close the account and open a new one which she told me every account I open from here till forever will most likely be flagged and suspended.
I am just so pissed off. I did the math and in 6 years I have spent $30-40k at this store but because $187 in merchandise was stolen from me I can pretty much never shop there again or at least use the benefits of shopping there which is the major draw of doing so!?
ETA- Whoever out there has my pizza pan, melatonin pills, lamp, comforter, seasonal valentine's birds, and two pairs of denim shorts I hope a pigeon poops on you every time you walk outside.

Henry decided to haunt glamrock Freddy because he was the best choice out of the main 4 and the friendliest of the four & less dangerous one. He protects Gregory because he fails to protect Charlie and refuses to let Afton take another victim.
Afton Ending: During the Afton ending, Afton sense Henry's spirit was near so that is why he tries to hack glamrock Freddy & get rid of Henry's spirit so he can kill Gregory but due to Gregory setting the Pizzaplex on fire he failed until Gregory return to the pizza plex starting the events of ruin.
Disassembled Ending: the reason Vanny asked the S.T.A.F.F. Bots to disassemble glamrock Freddy besides to get rid of him is that Afton told her to get rid of glamrock Freddy due to glamrock Freddy having the spirit of his former friend Henry Emily.
Unmasked Ending: Henry retries his idea from 5 years ago/during the events of Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria Simulator in 2023, by burning down the Pizzaplex and once face to face with Afton follower, he took it in his hand to stop the Afton yet again by taking his animatronic life and Venessa life by jumping off the top of the Pizzaplex with Vanny ending Afton terror once again.

DM: 42/he/him, only played the last 5-10 years. Pretty well grounded in mechanics, not so much with the lore. There may be discrepancies between my characterization and DnD canon; I’m okay with that.
Party: Heroic/good leaning. 4 is ideal. 50% is quorum. Present players may pilot absent players’ characters. Frequently absent or late players will be replaced.
Players: 30+, punctual, attentive, team oriented. Should be willing to do a little work out of session to be prepared for their role in session.
Content: There will be violence and a bit of foul language, but let’s not get too descriptive in that vein. Rape, racism, and sexual assault aren’t themes I’d like to explore. Everyone at the table should feel comfortable.
Maps: Always for battle. I find theater of the mind combat arbitrary and capricious. Battlemaps will be 25% gorgeous maps that I sourced, 50% crummy maps that I’ve made, and 25% grid and rough sketches because I wasn’t expecting things to happen. I’m not a fan of world maps. I mean I love them, just not as party GPS. No hex-crawling here.

Players: 30+, punctual, attentive, team oriented. Should be willing to do a little work out of session to be prepared for their role in session.
Content: There will be violence and a bit of foul language, but let’s not get too descriptive in that vein. Rape, racism, and sexual assault aren’t themes I’d like to explore. Everyone at the table should feel comfortable.
Maps: Always for battle. I find theater of the mind combat arbitrary and capricious. Battlemaps will be 25% gorgeous maps that I sourced, 50% crummy maps that I’ve made, and 25% grid and rough sketches because I wasn’t expecting things to happen. I’m not a fan of world maps. I mean I love them, just not as party GPS. No hex-crawling here.
Character Creation:

My boyfriend (27M) and I (25F) have been dating for 9 months, and our relationship has been great. I feel so strongly about him and I could very well see us getting engaged within the next year or so. He is a very kind and compassionate person.
My lease ended in February, and I renewed my lease for 12 months to live with my roommate again, since I didn’t really have any other options at the time and I like my apartment.
My boyfriend’s lease is up this month, and his roommate is moving to a new city, leaving him with nowhere to live. With his current salary and student loans from grad school he has a very tight budget, pricing him out of almost all 1 bedroom and studio apartments.
One of the few places he can afford is a house for rent in a neighborhood in the city. He said the house is lovely and spacious, and it looks very nice in the photos.
However, when I look at the neighborhood in google maps, I can see the area is…questionable — boarded up windows, graffiti, trailers, gas station with broken windows, and to top it all off…a huge US penitentiary for male offenders within 1000 ft of the house. It is very clear to me why the rent is so low.
I brought my concern up to him, and he said not to worry about it and that he’s lived in worse places and it will only be a year. However, I really don’t feel comfortable spending time there (I currently spend 2-3 nights a week at his place) and do not want to visit this neighborhood at night. I am a small female with no self defense skills, and neither of us have any intention of owning a weapon.
Not to mention, I witnessed a shooting on the same street about a year ago which was somewhat traumatic for me. I just do not feel good about him moving there, but I do not want to act controlling or cause drama since it is ultimately up to him. Additionally, we come from different backgrounds with me being upper-middle class and he considers his family working class, so I don’t want to come across as disconnected from reality or make him feel less than for not being able to afford something nicer. I just don’t know the best way to go about handling this.
TLDR; my boyfriend needs to move but the only place he can afford is directly across from a prison. I don’t know how to tell him that I am not okay with him moving there.

But no matter what’s our chosen category, we all have the games that represent our happy place.
The game that represents my happy place is Last Epoch. It’s been my absolute favorite since the day I bought it, and I’m still enjoying every moment I put into the game. The reason I feel so cozy playing the game is that it reminds me of my favorite high school games - Titan Quest and Diablo - and incentivizes strong nostalgic feelings in me. Combine that with amazing in-game mechanisms, and voila, there's a pleasure cocktail in your PC ready to be sipped whenever you feel like it... or downed, if you're thirsty enough.
Then again, this post wouldn't be complete without mentioning Heroes of Might and Magic 3. God, is that one an all-time great...
My childhood buddy and I still have the "tradition" based around HoMM3 for whenever we have a couple of days free. We usually come to my place, order the largest pizza on the menu, buy a case of beer, and play a 2v6 HoMM3 game on a 252x252 map. I'm always THE necro because I just love farming skeletons from lvl 1 all the way until I have too many to count, and he plays Stronghold because he loves to rush one of the bots early, take their castle and double his economic growth. The sessions usually last for as long as we can keep playing, and during them, we're both in our happy place away from real-life issues.

I am convinced someone on the From team watched this movie and decided to give it a few twists.
If you are wanting something to hold you over until the next episode, I highly suggest watching the movie After. It is free on Tubi. I suggest going in blind.
If you prefer not to watch here are some of the similarities I picked up, only click if you don't want to watch the movie. I really suggest watching it.
Movie starts with Ana (looks strikingly like Tabitha) and Freddy (looks strikingly like Jade) on a bus. They do not know each other but Freddy strikes up a conversation with Ana, even though she is standoffish.
>! They are the only ones on the bus and are driving into the town they live in. There is a small flashback of a young Ana pretending to put on an elaborate play at home with her Aunt, who raises her and then Ana wakes up.!<
She heads outside and there is no other person to be found whatsoever.
She tries to find other people but to no avail.
One night she hears loud music and following the sound, ends up at a house down the street and there is--Freddy.
Together they try to piece out what is happening.
--They go to a police station, try using the radio. No one answers. Freddy grabs a badge, gun.
--They also find and go into a diner and things start coming together.
--They also go to a hospital--more clues come in
--As they start talking more to each other, Freddy shares that he is a horror comic book lover and says that he loves the cliffhangers the most, the to-be continuedness of those.
--Ana used to dream of being a writer and loved the plot twists.
--As they continue to try to solve their situation, they learn that a black storm looking fog is blocking all roads into and out of the town.
--They then decide to try to escape using a boat by a lake in the woods.
--Deciding to go through the fog, they find a dungeon like room with a big door. 1000s of keys are on the ground...they see a well in the room with chains coming from it and when they try to pull it, a creature growls.
--They start plotting another escape and Freddy draws over and over on a map, the fog and the ways out, which looks creepily similar to Jade's symbol.
--The creature looks like Smiley after Boyd gave him the worms
--They try hiding in a school that the creature breaks into.
--They run into a church.
There is also a house that looks like Colony House that young Freddy said was haunted by Civil War Soldiers and to bring the ghosts out of hiding he had to hit the windchimes by door. He picks up a rock that looks like the talisman shape.
There is so much more and the explanation and how everything came together was really good. The color grading matches From almost exactly.

Cassie is a gunrunner vendor that moves location every couple of days. To find her, you need to talk to Jared "The Snitch" Nash in one of the locations I have listed on my map. His location is random but it usually takes 2 or 3 location visits for him to spawn. After you talk to him, he will give you a bounty and Cassie will appear on your map with a shopping cart icon. You can do the bounty or save it for later, it's not necessary to browse Cassie's inventory.
She will open for 24 hours and will close to relocate for 32 hours. These are her open times:
