I live In the northwest of the united states. Where the cost of living is extremely high. I was fortunate enough to be able to buy a house in a nice area during the recession. Meaning I got a lot of Bang for the buck. A twenty five hundred square foot house overlooking a beautiful mountain With four bedrooms. plus bonus room. Since sense, The children have grown and I have gotten divorced. I am now the sole owner of said house. I rent out rooms to make a little extra cash. It went well for the Most part Two years. Then I met someone. I had three roommit's and my mother living with me at the time. One of my roommates at the time What's oil to my vinegar. At the same time I asked her to leave I did move my boyfriend in with his teenage daughter. For those that are counting, That is six people living And five bedrooms boyfriend shares her room with me. About a year later i've been making moves out leaving fileaving five people in a fight bedroom house. My boyfriend and the remaining roommate Are not each other's favorite people but they manage. It's been this way for about a year now. Now comes the beginning of the end. The roommate asks me if she can move her adult son and wife in. My roommate has been here the longest and I thought we had built up. A friendship in the past Three years. I also do feel guilty for moving my boyfriend. I have tolerated her psychology comments about how she did not sign up for this (Dealing with a man and Teenager). I do not hold my tenants to a rental agreement. As long as they pay their rent they are in a month to month basis. I do have one not so normal household you can't drink in my home. I am in recovery. So far The previous mentioned reasons I said yes to Her request of moving her son and his wife in. My boyfriend and her son are both dominant alpha males. There has been issues from the start. Key moment was when I was asked if a specific amount of things could be moved in my garage by her son I said yes. While I was at work a load of items were delivered; Filling half of my two car garage doubling the previously Agree Upon space. The resolution was an increase to their rent. Since then there has been micro territory aggressions but nothing I couldn't have. Now comes where I have reached out to a layer. In the past two days my roommate has accused me of abusing her dog. I allow pets. My roommate has a large poodle mix with floppy long hair hanging from her ears. My roommate says when she was brushing her dog she she found The dogs' hair On one of her ears had been cut. The best way I could describe it is is. When is when a child gets bubble gum in their hair and it has to be Cut out. No harm to the skin. She is accused everybody in my house of abusing her dog Except her son and his wife. Amine most allegations at my BF and his daughter. Stating one of them did this to make her move out. Today she demanded that I pay for the dogs complete grooming. $179.00. To be deducted from her rent that she is already late pain for this month. She claims since she thinks it happened in my house I am responsible for the "damage". I have contacted a lawyer. Per his advice I am paying the money I have set my roommate a message saying she can Deduct The cost of the grooming and I am serving her was a twenty day notice. I am not kicking her out because because she's demanding the money. I am kicking her out because of the word "abuse". I no longer trust her. I feel this is a ploy to not pay rent. She has yet to pay me the rent she still owes me for this month. AITAH?

I know absolutely nothing about HVAC and I'm overwhelmed. The evaporator coil (located in the furnace) developed a leak and needs replaced- this has been confirmed by the local HVAC company my family uses. The HVAC techs think the A/C unit, A Carrier 38EH (yes, it is very old!), should be replaced the same time the coil is. It's still working, the tank just needs recharged with R-22.
Should I replace the nearly 40 yr old functional Carrier or just the coil? I don't have much $ to spend on a new unit, so here is the estimate information I was given for two different units and coils. This is for an 800 sq ft house, by the way.

The estimate for a coil replacement is $1,695.00. I don't have any further info. I think the coil is the Aspen coil mentioned in the first estimate.
Replace the A/C and coil or just the coil? Should I ask more questions about the coil? If I went with the Lennox coil, do I have to get a Lennox A/C unit in the future, or will it be compatible with any A/C unit? Are there other questions I should be asking? Do you have any questions for me to ask the HVAC company? Please, any input at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Preface:
I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan; I re-read the books typically once a year. I also adore the movies, and find all of Tolkien's legendarium absolutely awesome. Truly one of my favorite hobbies so I'd like to offer some critiques and excitement of flavor gems from Tales of Middle Earth. I won't do every card, but I'll comment on some individual cards and how WOTC did on it. I will comment on the cards abilities but only insofar as it impacts the flavor; i.e. what the card is doing not power level, etc.
To be clear: I understand there are sacrifices you need to make for the greater game, and sometimes those come first. For these articles: I am looking at each card in a vacuum, so if I seem harsh it's because I am using a single lens.

Flavor Preface
I think people know a lot about Frodo as it is, so I will leave off on much of the flavor discussion. But one thing that must be said about Frodo is how the Ring ate at him as he marched towards Orodruin. By the end of the journey: Frodo had entirely lost himself. The famous line:

"Do you remember that big of rabbit, Mr. Frodo?" [Sam] said. "and our place under the warm bank in Captain Faramir's country, the day I saw an oliphaunt?"
"No I am afraid not, Sam," said Frodo. "At least, I know that such things happened, but I cannot see them. no taste of food, no feel of water, no sound of wind, no memory of tree or grass or flower, no image of moon or star are left to me. I am naked in the dark, Sam, and there is no veil between mend the wheel of fire. I begin to see it even with my waking eyes, and all else fades."

The Ring preyed on Frodo's wants and to his undying credit he resisted. He held onto himself as much as he could. But, as Tolkien deeply recorded: Frodo slowly lost his grip on his own feelings. When he started the journey he was a pleasantly plump red faced fellow, jollily singing in the fields of the Shire. At the end: he resembled Gollum, and chose the Ring over everything else he held dear.
Color
Frodo is a generally white character at his core, white green for sure in the beginning. I like how he becomes black at the end: how the Ring has completely consumed him and replaced his will with the Ring's.
Abilities
Here is one complaint I have: Wizards provided us with a lot of different versions of many characters. But here they have a version of Frodo who changes. It kinda befuddles me a bit. That being said, I like this card a lot. He starts as a normal Hobbit citizen, he then becomes a scout when he enters his journey and at the end: he's a black character trying to sneak off with his Ring and it took all of the might of Gollum to keep him from leaving with it.
I think the flavor of Frodo killing you if the Ring tempts you a certain number of times is interesting. I like the idea I think they're trying to show, even if I'm not huge fan of "the Ring tempts you" mechanic's flavor. The pieces fit, even if they're kinda awkward.

There’s this guy I am currently friends with, I met him during my junior year in high school than we connected on social media two years later. I dm him on one of his social media accounts because he seamed very cool and I would like to get to know him. He told me he wasn’t looking for a relationship and would like to be friends, I respectfully agreed because I didn’t mind getting to know him as friends.
Eight months later, we came across each other unexpectedly on Snapchat. We started chatting a lot, sliding up on each other’s stories, complimenting each other. Things went so well. We got along very well, we had great conversations with one another. He’s one of the only guy that ever had genuine conversations with me, it was to the point that I started to catch feelings for him. The thing, we talked on the phone twice, we never made any plans to see each other, we just texted.
We did exchange numbers after a year of talking to each other. He told me he’s not looking for a relationship due to personal reasons and him wanting to work on himself. I respect his decision and I listened and been there for him but it’s starting to hit me pretty hard. I never ever been in a relationship nor dated anyone. He’s the most sweetest and most beautiful men I ever met. He’s down to earth, smart, kind, so thoughtful and is such a amazing friend to me. He always makes me feel better about myself like no other man did. I don’t have anything bad to say about him at all; however, I am considering creating a healthy relationship with myself for now. Nobody ever had genuine interest in me. So far, I don’t even know this guy too much but I feel myself falling hard for him and I’m not sure what to do about this situation. What should I do? Should I cut contact with him in order to get over him and heal or should I continue to stay friends with him but limit contact. I really need advice.

I was recently promoted to Senior Associate at RSM (consulting). I’ve been with the firm 2 years now (+one summer internship), and have compensation reviews coming up. I work out of NYC, if that makes a difference here (which it should, cost of living is a real thing). Curious as to negotiation tactics, and if people are willing to share, what base salary to expect. My reviews are great, and HR told me that all of my managers unanimously voted to promote me. I have no experience in salary negotiation, so any advice is much appreciated!

It’s super uncomfortable but I left and it’s lonely but I feel good at the same time. I’m happy that being rejected daily is not on my agenda. Also good knowing sex no longer has to be transactional and used as a currency. I got triggered by her past that she was sexual before she met me then once we got together, she never once initiated sex after children. I now understand we are just not compatible. I would be lying though if I said I didn’t have anger and resentment still but hopeful they will pass.

When you see how hard goes capitalism on the planet and the human, I can’t do anything but append communism to my opinions. But really, politics are a joke and puppets of money and being communist sounds like a joke nowadays. I am sure I could be wrong, could you help me ?

I feel so isolated and alone.
None of my friends talk to me anymore so the only person I have to talk to is my partner but my partner doesnt really tell me anything and instead tells everyone else, so most of the time I'm now just feeling alone and completely detached from everything and everyone like I'm a ghost or an alien only to be interacted with every now and then.

I take an acting for camera at my local college for a year now, my teacher was amazing, she taught acting strategies that made me feel empathy for the character after feeling so stagnant in every other acting lesson I took, without going to deepest and darkest memories from my mind also. Suddenly at the last minute for this period they changed her with some other "teacher".
I tried to keep an open mind to see what he can bring to the table, but he just keeps giving us the same type of exercise.
The exercise is that he gives us a heavy dialogue, and we have to make up the situation or context. 2 weeks and we've done the same exercise, just with a different dialogue. No real strategies on how to be and act somebody different than you, ya know? What acting is?
We only have about 20 or less to make up the context, I often crack under pressure and just end taking heavy memories from my personal life.
Luckily I am a person that can quickly switch emotions, but my friend who joined this period's class told me that if he continues with just doing extreme emotion after extreme emotion then she might quit. (She's really talented for someone who never took acting classes, it'll suck if she never takes acting again just because of a bad teacher.)
It's been 3 weeks since the classes started. Today was a very stressful day for me. I wasn't planning on staying for the class and I only wanted to suggest to him if we can do more light and fun exercises, but if he was empathic to what I was saying, then he might be a good teacher who listens to what his students say to him and be worth staying despite my bad day.
He told me some bs on how "that's actually how an actor's job is, we're supposed to feel heavy emotions". I just left without trying to argue back because I was just so angry and I didn't want to add fuel to a fire. The previous teacher taught us all of that without making us uncomfortable, thanks a lot.
I'm planning on doing a more formal complaint on him, but the fact is that he's probably going to stay the next 3 months until the period closes. I really don't know what to do, I know my passion for acting won't be ruined by some asshole teacher, but I don't want to waste my time if we can't see eye to eye.
If anybody knows any advice or strategies on how to deal with a teacher like him, then I'll be extremely grateful for that.
(Also some context, I'm Mexican so the might be difference in terms of college life, my college is run by 4 months periods rather than semesters, though most colleges still use them.)
Tldr: new teacher keeps stressing us out with his acting lessons, tried to suggest doing more lighter exercises but he insisted that's how being an actor is.

To preface: this is in no way medical advice outside of what I experienced and just want to help other who may also be dealing with this.
As you know I’m on round 2 day 6 of my A/C treatment. I have been feeling very off, I asked about mental health, I asked about food and I got amazing responses. I was still struggling tho, what was wrong? Normally I would have bounced back by now, right?
I noticed I had been having problems breathing, walking and I was dizzy quite a lot. As a medical professional and a very bodily aware person I knew something was off.
I reached out to my doctor looking for advice and his amazing RN got back to me and told me to come in for fluids. I happily obliged because yes, I probably do need fluids, since my gut is all but a slip and slide.
I went in feeling like a big bag of moldy sausages, weird, gross, kinda smelly and bloated AF.
They took my blood to run labs, as they should. They hooked me up to fluids and kept them wide open until labs got back.
Low and behold my potassium was low. It wasn’t the worst, trust me I’ve seen some bad ones but it was low enough that they decided on an infusion of potassium.
After four hours I left feeling 50% better physically and 90% better mentally. Sometimes our bodies are saying things, sometimes we get so lost in the thick of it we forget to be the squeaky wheel.
We are so caught up in “being strong” we ignore minor pings that could cause bigger issues. Be an advocate for yourself but also mitigate the small things to keep the wheel from being too squeaky ☺️😉
From one squeaky wheel to the next, I hope you all know how proud I am you, you are fighting a battle and you are doing a damn good job 👏🏽🫶🏽

Ok, to start this off i am not autistic, however it would seem my 12ish y/o neighbor boy is and i am a bit concerned.
For the last few months it has been an almost weekly occurrence, that several squads show up and eventually he is restrained and hauled off in an ambulance. Today I watched as 4 officers held him down while already cuffed, while his mother stood by and calmly watched. No yelling, no screaming from the kid or her. I normally don't like to get into other peoples business, but he is just a kid.
i mean he lives right across the street and every interaction I (and my wife) have had with him seemed quite normal. He is always mowing the lawn, shoveling the snow, putting out the trash, ect... and for full disclosure i have never seen his mom do any of that once, in 4+ years. which in and of itself means nothing, but just doesn't sit right with the whole situation.
Today i was able to catch one of the officers, and ask what was up, something medical to be watching for from this kid? Basically just trying to see why 4-5 officers and an ambulance are being sent here basically weekly. His response "he is Autistic"........ Nothing more. He said they take him away and once he clams down he is back to normal, then he can come home. Now i know several Autistic people, and i understand it effects each one differently and i am not trying to be a doctor here, just trying to see if there are any avenues to help this poor kid. It takes a bit to rattle me, but seeing 4 cops go "George Floyd" a 12 y/o on a 90 degree day, gets under my skin. I really am trying not be judgmental of the mother, but it just seems to me like she cannot handle this kid anymore. are there any other options for this Kid?

I’m not getting any rewards for watching OWL. I’ve watched nearly every single stream for the whole amount, but I’m getting nothing. I’ve tried watching it on the mobile app, my iPhone chrome app, the offices app for the league, my computer, my school computer, hell, I’ve even tried watching it on my tv, all while getting nothing. I know I’ve connected my YouTube and battle net accounts to the league website because I’m able to get rewards from pick-em “challenges”(predict the winner of 25 minutes, correctly guess 5 winners, etc) and I’ve only gotten 9 from those. I don’t get anything from my actual predictions, nor do I get anything from watching the matches. I feel like I’m going insane. Nothing I try works. Someone please help me, I want my stuff. Also, I play on Xbox, and I’ve linked my Xbox account to my battle net account, if that has any effect on what the issue might be.
Also, if the mods delete this again, they are officially not nice

Yesterday I had a phone interview canceled hours before start time due to the interviewer not feeling well. No problem, rescheduled for today.... Interviewer texted me 10 minutes prior to start time to ask if he could push back our call by 15 minutes. No problem...
Now it's been an 1.5 hours since our call was supposed to start with no additional email or text to reschedule or an explanation.
I prepped and had nervous poops for nothing. Also, this is for a junior position and I'm at least mid-level. I feel so defeated :(

Hi, I am 33M, 6'2", 115 kgs. Since a month I started having cough accompanied with nausea, especially when I am walking and after eating/waking up. Since last fortnight, started seeing streaks of blood in my spit after morning mouth clean-up - sometimes during brushing and sometimes even after that. Although I have episodes if cough during the day, no blood seen then. For last two days, I have been seeing it continuously along with some blood in my nose mucus as well. A bit of a background: I have had a dull pain just above my right ribs but has subsided since last week. Have anxiety issues so have also lost some apetite (and hence lost 5 kgs in the last 2 months). Late last year reported of right flank pain (which sometimes still appears) and have since had 2 CT KUBs (diagnosed me of a kidney stone), abdominal ultrasound (diagnosed me of fatty liver), CBC blood came clear except for a liver ALT of 61 (ref: <45), chest x ray clear. Also have had symptoms of GERD but not officially diagnosed. Have been feeling a swelling in my right armpit (no lumps) with a few red dots/rashes/pimples. Have been a non-smoker, vegetarian and not very active (keen to change that last one).
Can anyone advise? Seeing blood almost everyday now for the past week in my saliva, mostly during the morning after I wake up.

What is the point, at this point? Every year keeps getting gotten worse for me, and this year is by far the worst one. I have health problems, vision and neurological issues I'm still trying to solve that no one gets or gives two shits about because they're not the one experiencing them. I get treated as if I don't know what I'm talking about or that I'm just being dramatic or complaining just because I was unlucky enough to be born AFAB. I'm so tired, everyday drains me, and I feel so weak. I fear I'm going to go blind and if I do, I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna live any longer and continue to suffer. I hate the courses I'm doing, don't relate to my relatives, have no friends to talk to and to be myself around. I have nobody, just the people on the screen who live lives that are miles better than mine. Summer has always been the worst season of the year and this one is no different. Right now I see less reasons to staying alive. I hate myself, and I'm too poor and unlucky to change my life for the better. Is there a point to all this?
