Flight time houston to kansas city

I have a 1.5 hour flight in two hours, and I will be in the air when I would normally take my 50 mg dose. When we land, we probably won’t make it home until 1 am or so. I started this med about a month ago, and am unsure if I should take it on the plane or wait til I get home? I won’t be driving after landing, and I can sleep as late as I need to tomorrow but I also don’t know how taking it at the same time or not works with this med. Any advice?

Hello all, so i really am looking for some advice here. Me and my bf have been together for about a year and a half. We have been pretty happy until his mother started asserting herself into our relationship. His mother and him were pretty severely abused and stalked by her ex husband, my bfs father for years. They had to flee their city because of it. Anyways, my bf is in therapy and has been for a while. I have never noticed issues from him at all and he deals with his past pretty well. Except his mother.. there have been a few incidents from her since we’ve been together and I think I’ve reached my breaking point. Here are a few:
1.) She compared my bf to his father and started screaming at him the past of their abuse to upset him. I walked in on him trying to hurt himself because of it…
2.) While out with my friends and my bf she called us frantically to come chase down a suspicious man at 10 at night and has done this multiple times before.
3.) She has extreme ups and downs emotionally and will call my bf and threaten to hurt herself literally out of the blue.
4.) She will tell me about the abuse they suffered in grave details over and over..
5.) She unfortunately pays for a chunk of our rent and we pay the difference since we’re both full time students (agreement made a year before she started showing her true colors) and when she has an episode she’ll tell my bf she’s cutting us off because we’re toxic then say she never said that and have a mental breakdown. She did this once before and just recently did again last week and now i’m tired of it.
6.) She’ll play mind games with my bf when she gets lonely (she has no friends and cut off most of their family)
It’s sad because we used to be close.. I am going to college 800 miles away from home and she really became a confidant for me when I really needed it. After a year her personality just flipped on me out of nowhere. I’ve talked to my bf about it and he’s talked to her and set boundaries but he doesn’t work and she funds his life while he’s going to school. Aside from his mom paying a chunk of our rent, really for him (he was working at one point) she has no connection to me. I’ve begged him to get a job so we can pay our own rent and actually set boundaries with her and he just won’t do it. I’m just thinking he’s too immature for a relationship right now and he needs to square away the relationship with his mom before he’d have a real chance at a relationship. I love my bf but the thought of marrying into this family scares tf out of me. Thoughts?

It's said that we each think ourselves of the protagonists of our own stories. Take that too far and you get narcissistic people who annoy everyone around them- but there is another layer to it.

Don't get what I mean? Imagine for a second that you were living in a simulation. Now, you may think that it's nearly impossible for a computer to possibly synthesize everything in the world going on around you.
Imagine walking into a bookstore. Have you ever... actually read every single book in there? No, leave that, have you ever even opened each book? How do you know that... each book is real, that each book actually has words in it without you opening each one? They could very well be placeholders, just there to make the world look more real.
Extrapolate that to the world. Sure, there are ways of knowing about everything going around you- but how much do you actually experience?
In the end of course, it's only what we experience that shapes what we think of reality. We can never go inside someone else's head.
This would all just be a though experiment. Or at least, it would be normally.
Two week ago, I moved into a new town. I didn't really relish the idea as it was a rather small town- a far cry from the city I'd grown up in, but I had to come here as part of a job, and my student loans weren't going to pay themselves.
I sighed, and grit myself for six months of utter boredom.
That's what I thought would happen. I settled in well enough, only for my doorbell the ring the very afternoon I had arrived.
Hadn't been expecting that- I hadn't even unpacked half of the boxes yet.
It was my neighbor- at least that was how they introduced themselves. It was Gary, his wife, and his twin daughters. They were nice enough- though overall given that I was eager to get to work they were more of a distraction than anything.
The visitors didn't stop there though. The mailman, other neighbors from down the street, the owner of the local grocery store, the garbageman- all of them fell the need to ring on my doorbell just to say 'hello' to me. I wouldn't have minded but the thing was that the conversations dragged on for far longer than they ever should have.
And now that I truly think about it- there was something really off about each of those conversations. I know the Uncanny Valley effect is regarding faces- but this was like that, except for speech. What was being said was normal- but there was an, oddness to it that I couldn't really put my finger on. As if I was thinking- 'Wait a moment, real people don't talk like this.'
I just chalked up all of this attention to small town values and went to sleep even though I barely got any unpacking done at all.
I did notice something odd- outside the window that looked over my backyard- I saw the silhouette of a lady with her dog by the road. This wouldn't be abnormal on its own- but for three nights in a row, I always saw her.
At seemingly the same place.
The next morning I got up and my day was instantly ruined when I saw that all the tires to my car had been slashed.
So much for small town hospitality- I was almost beginning to swear when I heard a warm voice said, "In trouble there, neighbor?"
It was Gary. From the way he approached me- it was like he'd been waiting all this time behind the corner just to pop up when I would notice the slashes tires.
"Uh... yeah, someone did this..." I said.
"Oof- looks like we got ourselves a troublemaker on the loose here," Gary said. "We should let the Sherriff know- oh, there he is!"
In what couldn't possibly be a coincidence, the Sherriff strolled right up to us as if he had just been strolling around the neighborhood. "Good morning there- and oh, is this our new resident!"
He introduced himself and assured me that he would look into the matter, and as with all the other conversations I had up till now it lasted three times longer than necessary. I was really beginning to become impatient.
At the time I just chalked it up to folks from a small town being different, though now that I look back on things, they were definitely dragging out those conversations as much as possible.
Gary offered me a ride to work- which I accepted given I had no real other options. He talked a lot about his own life- only occasionally asking me questions about mine.
In case you were wondering what it was that I did there- I was a reporter working on a story. I was looking into a story regarding a factory near the town, and so Gary was nice enough to drop me off at the town library which also housed its records.
It was fairly old- didn't even have a digital system in place, they still used those old cards you would write into if you wanted to take a book out.
You would think that at the very least in a library I would get some peace and quiet, but no.... the librarian and her two assistants walked up to speak to me. They shooed away the other patrons who also seemed to want to introduce themselves and began explaining how the library worked.
Again, the conversation lasted way too long for my liking.
I tried to focus on my work, but I really couldn't. I noticed it every so slightly- people were waiting for me around every corner. Their faces were in books that they clearly weren't reading as they were on the same page for two hours.
I didn't make much headway as I made to leave- unsure of how I would even get back home when the second I stepped out of the library I ran into Gary.
"Hey there!"
"Were you... waiting for me all this time?"
"Aww shucks no! Of course not, I was just in the area and remembered you didn't have a ride home. Realized the library closes around this time so I thought I'd give you a lift."
'Thank... you," I said, very creeped out.
On the drive back, Gary told me that there was going to be a large party over at his house tomorrow afternoon. I said I had work- but Gary told me the library was closed on weekends. I found that to be very odd but had not real way of confirming that it was wrong so I shrugged and said that I would be there.
That night, again, I saw the lady with her dog across the street. In the same spot. I didn't think too much of it then.
The next day was the party- and to my surprise it looked like half of the town had shown up. I was immediately ushered in and asked to sit down in the center of the living room- it was as if I was the Birthday Boy at a kid's party.
Everyone wanted to speak with me- it was nice for a while but became quite overwhelming thereafter.
That night, I again saw the lady with her dog across the street. I could swear she was in the same spot as well.
I went ahead and opened the door- going for an evening stroll. I walked down the road and I saw a woman in her mid-forties walking a Golden Retriever. She was no longer standing still, but was walking up to me, eager to introduce herself. She walked the same route every day, she told me, and was really excited to see the new face who was the buzz all around town.
The next day I tried to get some new tires- but every shop in town was out of it (and by every shop I mean the two there). Despite how friendly everyone was, none of them had a spare set of tires- something I found hard to believe.
They did managed to find a bicycle I could borrow- that was good enough to go to the grocery store and back. It took me over an hour to get to the library for my job though- Gary kept offering to drive me there, but I always refused.
I did actually get some work done- and it went on like that for a week longer when my bike was stolen one day.
The Sherriff was right around the corner as the last time, and Gary was as willing to offer a ride as ever. Now, I couldn't even get someone to lend me their bicycle anymore.
That night, I saw her again. That same lady, standing across the street. In the same spot.
I went for a walk- and she ran into me. As if she had been expecting me.
I had no idea what was happening around this place. I felt nauseous and didn't come out of the house for two days, just whiling away time on my laptop.
I had made my decision then- screw this job! I was getting out of here. I called my boss and told him I was leaving, and given I somehow still didn't have new tires I just called for a taxi company. I'd get my car back some other way- I didn't want to live here a moment longer.
The night before my planned escape, I woke up, startled by a noise downstairs. I went to see that it was... Gary.
He wasn't carrying a weapon of any sort and didn't look threatening in any way- but he was in my house at two in the morning.
"H-how did you get in?" I asked him.
"Ah, picked the lock. Locksmith helped," he said.
I grabbed a nearby umbrella- hardly an adequate weapon, but the closest thing near me. "D-don't get any closer!"
"I don't want to bother you," Gary said, seemingly nonplused by how weird this whole situation was. "I just wanted to let you know... that you can't leave."
That confirmed my suspicions when I heard a voice from outside.
"Gary! How long are you going to hog everything for yourself!"
"We want our turn!"
"What happened to 'sharing is caring?'"
I looked outside the window- and saw the townsfolk had surrounded my house.
"What is going on?!" I demanded.
"It's hard to explain," Gary said. "But let me start at the beginning. The 'factory' you were looking into, it wasn't a factory at all. It was a research facility for the military. We don't know why- but they made us. They made us like this, eternally trapped in this town. They abandoned us. We don't know why- just that it seems they wanted to curse us. I know no other reason as to why the should torment us so."
His face twisted into a snarl.
"We are background characters. We have little will of our own. It's only when someone like you comes from the outside that we find our purpose. That this town of ours has life breathed into it. Did you know what my days like were before you came along? I would stand in an empty house with my 'family' for hours on end. Just staring at a blank wall, unable to eat or drink or sleep. Unable to feel, unable to express myself. I can't even talk to members of my family unless you come around."
"Ah, I think you have a term for us," Gary said. "NPCs? Side characters? That's what we are. We can't do anything unless you come around. And I loved it so much when you were here- for the firs time in years I felt alive. Did you know something? My house is actually empty. No furniture. Nothing at all. Everything that you saw in there on the day of the party- it materialized only when you came in. I could go back home to an empty house, but I won't anymore." He began to move. "Come with me."
I ran upstairs and locked my bedroom door, barricading myself in as well as I could. I looked out my window and saw throngs of people there.
I can hear them at my door. Any minute now they'll get in.
I-I have family outside here guys. I do not want to spend my life being a prisoner of whatever... things live in this town.
My hand is shaking in terror as I type this out on my phone. I... don't know what I can do in this situation. I think I can smell smoke- they're definitely starting a fire, knowing I'll have to jump out the window. I don't know if they'll fight over me or try to tear me apart so each of them gets a piece, but they're not going to leave me alone.
They may all be prisoners here- but it looks like I'll end up being another inmate along with them.

I will be flying from Sydney to Gold Coast and would like to buy a gift but realised I have no time to get to the shops before my flight on Wednesday night. Flight is at 7pm are there many shops in the domestic part of the terminal and what time do they close? Ideally a shop suitable for something for a toddlers present, cheers!

I have limited access to the vegetables I like - I usually have to drive to the next city over or 1.5 hrs to a major city to get watercress... and then they look kind of sad by the time they're at my house.
I'd love to grow them indoors, and have been eyeing aerograden but everyone seems to use the larger Farm sized ones. Can I try with a smaller 3 pod unit? Or is it unlikely to stay alive for long like that?

I'm getting desperate here (m23/Germany).
My first relationship was long distance at 17 and, in short, she was a notorious liar and cheater. It had destroyed me beyond belief at the time when I found out. I had been constantly told by people to forget about her and that it would just take time.
Now, six years later, I still think about her every day. I'm lying awake at 2:00 a.m. because I dreamed about her again and woke up.
I associate every situation with her, even if there was no connection at the time. I hear singing birds and wonder if she would like them. I see a couple and imagine myself with her. Some situations make me shake because they give me such a strong throwback, like visiting two cities close to the ones she lived in, going to the beach or listening to certain music.
The first two years I had still been stalking her Instagram and texting her, hoping to get peace in and an apology and explanation for cheating. Never happened, I was just more broken by seeing stuff from her all the time. I stopped looking at it four years ago.
Her old stuff is still in the attic. I never dared to throw it away.
I don't see any hope for therapy with my "mental stability" besides this one issue compared to other people. I also don't know if it's even worth it for something like this.

As the title says, nothing is set in stone yet but I'm thinking of a 2-3 week trip through Japan beginning early April. Mostly because it's Easter time and will be easier to get time off work. But it is also a holiday period so I'm expecting the country to be a bit busier than usual with tourism, add that with the fact it will cherry blossom season.
Has anyone visited during this period and wish they didn't? Or perhaps found it was simply a little too busy? I presume the price of flights is raised during this period, is it the same for accommodation too?

I’m a little over a month from turning 30 and it’s pretty daunting going into that alone. With the final stage of grief is acceptance so at this point I have to accept that my social skills are straight up trash. So here I am! Looking for my best friend on Reddit.

I think my biggest issue is that most of the things I like to do aren’t traditional “guy” things to do. I’m not into sports, fishing, golf, cars or anything like that. I enjoy books and libraries, I spend a ton of time at book stores. I also listen to way too many audiobooks while I’m driving, working or just too mentally exhausted to exist. I find research to be just so, so challenging. I guess I like it? I like the reading, I like finding things out, I even like writing most of the time. But I hate the pressure, the deadlines, the endless revisions, the cruel referees, the endless criticism, and the middle of the night crises when I realize I made a mistake in my code and have to fix all the tables all over again because the numbers are .0001 off.
Teaching and service seem SO EASY to me compared to these struggles. Every semester I get to hit the reset button. Meanwhile I have research projects that are going on almost ten years before they finally appear in print. Burnout city!
I don't feel secure in tenure, either. Some creep somewhere is going to come out of nowhere to criticize my work, and I won't be able to show my face around my department.
These days I have mad respect for anyone still publishing 10,20,30+ years post PhD.
Talk me off the ledge, friends. I'm losing my mind.

So basically we had been friends for a little over a year but we only started getting closer once we started making a plan to cosplay together at one of the biggest conventions in our area, and because of the characters that we chose to cosplay together (Beidou and Ningguang from Genshin impact) she jokingly started calling me her wife and I went along with it. We would video call every other day leading up to it, and when we roomed together at the convention we started getting a lot more cuddly every night when we'd call it a day. We left the convention wanting to try and find ways to visit each other but I thought that there wasn't anything romantic going on because I've had platonic friendships like this before with other queer women.
Fast forward to the last Friday before Pride Month, when she had posted about how much she missed me and a mutual friend asked me if we were dating, and I told my friend no but that I understood why people would think that way. I sent a screenshot of that conversation to my now-GF, and I said that half of the people in my city's cosplay Community thinks that we're dating. She told me that we might as well keep up the bit, and at which point I teasingly asked her if that was supposed to be a confession at which point she did say yes although she also admitted that she had been thinking about confessing to me in a completely different way at a completely different time. We ended up talking for 2 hours about it and we decided to make it official. At which point the next day I IMMEDIATELY last-minute booked tickets to take a 6-hour train ride to her City on the first day of Pride Month for the following weekend so I can be able to spend some time with her alone in the beginning stages of our relationship before she was going to fly back to her home state at the end of her college semester for the summer the week after that. And then the day after that I spent 3 hours at at least 5 to 6 different stores trying to find a plushie of her favorite animal so that I could give it to her so that she can cuddle it when I'm not there. I'm just super super excited that I can finally FINALLY be able to have somebody to call mine and the fact that it's somebody who started off as a friend of mine too just makes me so happy.
I'm with her right now as I type this after a long but exciting weekend of train travel, getting Korean food together, cuddling up on the couch and watching anime, and slow dancing in our PJs, having a picnic on the lawn outside her student apartment, getting food truck tacos, going to her favorite bar, and shopping together at Target through their Pride collection!
I will have to take the train back tomorrow afternoon and I'm already not looking forward to how much I'm going to miss her until she can come back to my part of the continent, but I'm so grateful that I have her and can even spend such a blissful weekend with her and I'm looking forward to getting to do all this again with her.

Hi ya'll, i'm not diagnosed and i'm not looking for you to diagnose me, but I'm worried I might have arthritis. I've felt pain and stiffness for a few months in my fingers, wrists and ankles. I suddenly had high fever without being sick a few times. And a few days ago I got this on both of my hands. My skin was very hot, swollen en red. Blisters filled with fluid. Redness also inbetween my fingers. I tried to look it up but couldn't find any good pictures to compare it with. I'm not good with going to the doctor. And I moved to another city, and don't have a doctor here yet. It''s almost gone now. So I want to know if this is something that could be arthritis maybe and that I need to go see someone for now. Hi all, I'm turning here as a last resort.
In short: my phone won't interact correctly with a website I have to use daily, using either Chrome or Microsoft Edge
Long version: my work's website for rostering, signing-on and viewing upcoming shifts doesn't work properly on my Pixel 7 pro and hasn't for the last 8 months. This website works fine on computer, fine on my previous android phone (Oppo Find x2 Neo), and even fine on the company iPads. As soon as I use it on either chrome or Microsoft edge, I am unable to "click" any buttons that close the numerous pop ups the website employs (but I can navigate within that pop up, and I can open another "tab" within that same website to look at other things).
My work can't help me at all. The website is iFlight by IBS software and happens on another employee's Pixel 7 Pro as well, but I have no other data apart from these two cases.
What settings need to be changed on my device? It's driving me nuts to force the page to refresh multiple times per use!

I just happened to stumble upon this thought and had to share:
We all know Spamton G. Spamton backstory:
he contacted, or was contacted by someone,
became a celebrity within Cyber City, or as he would say a "BIG SHOT!"
The caller stopped communicating whit him, making him fall in disgrace etcetera..
What I wanted to point out it's the part where it mentions how Spamton's tried to impersonate someone to infiltrate the castle and enter the basement, most of the people assumed it was referring to Swatch, as their design is somewhat similar.
The thing is,
He was replaced, but still not getting rid of the whole brand as they still sell his bowties
I was thinking, what instead of Swatch.. Spamton tried to impersonate someone else? Someone that might be important to him, Someone that always talked to him
We still don't know for sure who the mysterious caller is, but assuming it's Tenna (the character mentioned on one of the sweepstakes pages, heavily hinted to be connected to spamton downfall), it could make sense
Tenna seems to be associated whit television so it wouldn't be far to thnk he made Spamton rise to fame and sudden downfall. As television often haves some influence in the internet too. His only appearance we currently know of Tenna is his smile on the TV.
Just, hear me out:
Remember that smile whit yellow-purple tinted eyes just moments before activating the Spamton NEO fight? It couldn't be Spamton, as he is in the LoadedDisk But what if it was Tenna, or someone connected to him? Think about it, in multiple instances it seems that the fight is being watched or rather "Recorded" by someone (as seen in his final giant attack) So it wouldn't be far fetched to think Tenna is watching the Fun Gang fighting Spamton NEO. Another thing to know, if you defeated him violently during the normal route, he will say: "ARE YOU WATCHING THIS MIKE? I'M FINALLY BECOMING A BIG SHOT!!"
We either don't know much about Mike, but he was implied to be very important to Spamton, and also be a part of Tenna's Crew so he could be also watching the fight take place.
WRAPPING UP:
the original style of glasses Spamton tried to impersonate to enter the castle could belong to Tenna, as he seemed to somewhat famous too.
This could be used to explain the face in the basement too.
At the end of the day this is just speculation, we will see when Chapet 3,4,5 come out if it will be accurate.
