2023.06.07 01:53 pk330 T460s battery erroneously shows very low capacity
(First, I know this is an old laptop but I'd like to squeeze a little more life out of it.)
I've replaced both its batteries in 2020, however one shows only 0.5% capacity after about 29 cycles. Second battery is totally fine on much higher cycles.
If I remove the good battery, the bad battery discharges down to 20%, and then lasts forever on those 20%. This tells me the battery is actually better than it's being reported by Lenovo Vantage. I've already tried a gauge reset but that fails every time. I've also tried to install the latest battery driver for Win 11 (was already installed).
Any ideas what else can be done?

2023.06.07 01:37 ashleyn1994 Mediastinal mass-lymphoma rule out
Background: I’m a white, 29 year old female with history of asthma. I’m not currently taking any meds. I don’t smoke or drink. About a week ago I had severe chest pain that started out of no where and got worse when I tried to lay down, bend forward, laugh or cough. Went to the ER and they found a retrosternal anterior mediastinal soft tissue lesion about the size of a golf ball. They are working me up now to rule out lymphoma along with a variety of other things.
I don’t see a doctor until tomorrow but wondering if I can get some help interpreting these results from a blood smear I had done. Thanks in advance.
INTERPRETATION: NO CLONAL B-CELL POPULATION IDENTIFIED NO ABNORMAL -CELL POPULATION IDENTIFIED NO BLAST POPULATION IDENTIFIED ANALYSIS: B cells comprise 5% of lymphoid-gated events and exhibit a kappa to lambda ratio of 1.1. T cells comprise 77% of lymphoid-gated events, demonstrate a relatively normal CD4 and CD8 expression profile, and show a normal expression of pan T antigens (CD2, CD3, CD5, and CD7). The CD4:CD8 ratio is 1.7. NK cells comprise 11% of lymphoid-gated events. Discrete neutrophil and monocyte populations with appropriate CD45 and light scatter properties are observed. No immature cell population identified.

2023.06.07 01:34 A_is_for_apple At the point of desperation, insight and advice from others would be super appreciated!
Can’t believe I’m only just thinking to see if there was a Reddit community for this now. Really happy to have found this. So I come from Lebanese and Italian parents, was told from birth I was anemic/born with jaundice/inherited the family “Mediterranean anemia”, but was too young to knew what all that meant so I just went through life being told by every doctor every time I had labs done to come in and go over the results, the same thing “it appears you have anemia” to which I would always say “oh yeah I’ve had it since I was a baby”. Most of them would tell me to take iron supplements. I would do that sometimes but often would be lazy about it. It never helped or made a difference.
All of my life (I am 34 years old-Female) I have battled with being so. God. Damn. Tired. Like in tears fatigued. No matter how much I sleep (I also have terrible trouble sleeping for a handful of reasons). I also have been diagnosed with depression since 10 yrs old and had a pretty effed up life tbh so I’ve chalked a lot of the fatigue up to that. I spent the ages of 20-30 in the depths of bad alcoholism and eating disorders but have thankfully managed to crawl myself out of that hole and will be 4 years completely sober in 8 days! However- I thought that freeing myself from alcohol would clear my life up from depression on the mental side of things and on the physical side of things give my body relief from the insane fatigue I feel every day.
It has not, if anything, in the last 4 years, it has gotten worse. 3 years ago while at a residential treatment for eating disorders along my path to recovery - where we get our blood taken very frequently - their on site doctor actually took the time to sit me down and explain to me that my anemia is called Thalassemia Minor and it is unique to anemias that would have you take iron supplements. He also told me there’s nothing I can do for it aside from vitamins. Furthermore, he told me that I should not be affected by it in anyway save for maybe at most, if I were to ever be -to use his example - running in a marathon- even if I trained and trained and was in my peak physical shape- I could not win against a non thalassemic person who trained the same amount in similar shape.
Since then I have moved, seen new doctors, have had more labs done, same results, always a hemoglobin level of 9. Even was able to express how debilitating my fatigue was enough to my PCP to get her to send me to a hemotologist. Who is like. Okay your Hg level is 9. But it’s always been a 9? Oh then I can’t do anything for you, you should be used to it by now. If it was higher and maybe had just become a 9 that would be different. Then proceeds to tell me there are only 3 things I can do: take a prenatal vitamin (specifically for the high folate), eat more leafy greens, and that I will just “always need more sleep than other people”. That was proceeded by a TWENTY minute lecture where she forgot the difference between a hematologist and therapist and went off and on about how the energy and motivation has to come from within me and I just have to make it happen and push and overcome. Fuck.
I am sorry this is so long again. I got more labs done two weeks ago and I am again meeting with my PCP to go over the results in two days. I am in tears writing this. I take the vitamins, and have literally tried anything and everything on the market that has ever claimed to help with fatigue and exhaustion. I can only be up and standing between 1-3 hours a day upon awakening before I can no longer even support my body physically and the only relief comes from lying down in the fetal position and shutting my eyes. There is also so much pain behind my eye sockets. I have immense brain fog and it feels like every activity, whether it requires mental, physical, or emotional output takes so much out of me that I find myself having to take 3x the time of said activity to recover before I am able to exert any amount of effort again. I can not live like this anymore man. I have so many goals and projects I want to work on that excite me. I don’t even have the energy to work on the most exciting things that I love the most.
Does anyone here that’s been diagnosed with minor relate? I put a picture of my results from the other week up. Are those standard minor numbers? Do you think this fatigue etc is contributeable to just this anemia? With the depression? I have had COUNTLESS other tests run, blood labs and other things, and everything else always comes back normal and hell. Vitamins thyroid liver even etc etc. the other thing that ever comes up is this god damn thal minor, yet I’m consistently told bc it’s minor there’s nothing I can do about it and I should not even be affected by it anyway. I’m just at a total loss. Please help !!! Thank you and so much love and hugs for anyone else also dealing with this hot nonsense

2023.06.07 01:25 Beneficial_Cable_645 Actual monthly gold after a month of recording
The current calculated gold based upon the following criteria was around 70m however that didn't include any events, etc and there was always some thought that the actual was around 80m or so. So I decided to test that, and also see if the calculations were realistic and accurate. I did this by recording each day how much gold I spent. I started this with 50k left at the end of the day, and ended it now at 210k left.
As a basis of reference here's also some of the more important details;
- Platinium 3 - 40% win rate
- Incursion 1.2 / Doom 3.5 - 60% ++
- Greek 4.5 90 - 100%
- Blitz "usually" around 6-8 rotations per day - blitz credits turned in for orbs with 20k left outstanding at all times.
- 4 x 50 core on campaigns and hard campaign nodes farmed exclusively including all 3 gold nodes.
Here's the Raw data for each day.
1 May 7 352,500
2 May 8 4,105,170
3 May 9 1,802,510
4 May 10 2,611,070
5 May 11 2,148,760
6 May 12 2,944,760
7 May 13 10,057,520
8 May 14 7,198,320
9 May 15 3,563,610
10 May 16 3,512,510
11 May 17 371,250
12 May 18 5,741,420
13 May 19 3,853,810
14 May 20 2,600,320
15 May 21 5,115,910
16 May 22 287,500
17 May 23 3,737,500
18 May 24 3,037,540
19 May 25 2,859,270
20 May 26 1,737,500
21 May 27 2,131,770
22 May 28 4,298,990
23 May 29 9,496,760
24 May 30 1,582,500
25 May 31 4,516,690
26 June 1 2,192,200
27 June 2 2,807,110
28 June 3 2,225,750
29 June 4 2,407,670
30 June 5 1,515,010
31 June 6 7,117,490
Now I have to deduct from this the following;
- 5,000,000 for 'abnormal' gold pulls of 2m, 1m,1m,1m and replaced by average of 218,000 each
- 6,000,000 for 6m gold offer for $5
- 2,120,000 for first time incursion rewards
- 6,876,000 for bang for the buck and various small offers in the month that had gold orbs etc.
So how much you say? just the raw tally for the 31 days was 105,899,736. Now if we include the above mentioned exclusions we get 88,806,690. however, 31 days aren't an actual average month so if we take the 31 days and then equalize that out for a average month, we get
87,135,596, or approximately
2,864,732 per day average.
is it enough? that's up for you to decide and you to manage.
Recently with the addition of the hard campaigns many probably don't realize that they can spend *more* on gold / character upgrades then they could in the past, leading them to have less gold - combine that with the level jump from 90 to 95 can certainly exhaust gold quite quickly. it's certainly not enough if you want to take every single character to 95 and also more than a few characters a month up to 95 at the same time.
